Billy Was Right

Hey Billy: You Want to Explain This

  • 4-24-07 -- National GOP Multimedia Web Page Is All Fox News Video Clips

Great Moments In Fox News Dept.

If there was any doubt left that Fox News is just a media organ of the Republican Party, then take a look at this screen capture of the National Republican Senatorial Committee's multimedia page.

You would think the term "multimedia" would imply that it's a collection of stuff from various news organizations, plus in-house content from the NRSC.

It turns out, though, that it's nothing but ... a collection of Fox News video clips. Every single clip in the NRSC's "multimedia" section is from Fox News:

O'Reilly Ignores & Lies About Big Money Donated to The Right

  • 4-24-07 -- Billy is mad because George Soros gave a few million dollars to some liberal groups, which is perfectly legal btw, and he claims no Republicans ever give money like that. Yet he has no problem with big money going to Republicans, which he knows is happening, and has been for 40 years, and in fact, he denies it happens, and never reports on it.

In the interview Billy did after his talking points (with 2 conservatives and no liberal for balance) he said no wealthy Republicans give money like that to conservatives. Which is the biggest lie ever told in the history of America.
O'REILLY: Since 2001, according to federal documents, the Open Society Institute has given nearly $20 million to the Tides Foundation. An astounding amount.
    But he ignores this:

-- Richard Mellon Scaife, the Pittsburgh billionaire and patron of conservative causes, gave $2.3 million to the American Spectator magazine to dig up dirt on Clinton for the Arkansas Project, and supported other conservative groups that harassed the president and his administration.

-- Scaife has donated about $200 million to conservative causes from 1974 (his first gift to the Heritage Foundation) through the end of the Bush administration in 1992.

Yet Billy hammers george Soros for giving $20 million, and says no Republicans ever give big money donations like Soros does, how is that fair and balanced journalism?

His biggest contribution has been to help fund the creation of the modern conservative movement in America.

By compiling a computerized record of nearly all his contributions over the last four decades, The Washington Post found that Scaife and his family's charitable entities have given at least $340 million to conservative causes and institutions, about $620 million in current dollars, adjusted for inflation. The total of Scaife's giving to conservatives as well as many other beneficiaries exceeds $600 million, or $1.4 billion in current dollars.

By concentrating his giving on a specific ideological objective for nearly 40 years, and making most of his grants with no strings attached, Scaife's philanthropy has had a disproportionate impact on the rise of the right, perhaps the biggest story in American politics in the last quarter of the 20th century.

His money has established or sustained activist think tanks that have created and marketed conservative ideas from welfare reform to enhanced missile defense; public interest law firms that have won important court cases on affirmative action, property rights and how to conduct the national census; organizations and publications that have nurtured conservatism on American campuses; academic institutions that have employed and promoted the work of conservative intellectuals; watchdog groups that have critiqued and harassed media organizations, and many more.

Yet Billy never says a word about him on the factor, is that a bias, a double standard from Billy, you be the judge, I report, you decide.

What's really going on is Billy and his right-wing pals are afraid of George Soros, because he funds liberal groups that expose the lies and the corruption in the Bush administration, all of FOX News, the O'Reilly Factor, and the Republican party. They don't like people with money who expose their fraud and lies, so now they are going to try to smear and slime George Soros and anyone who gives money to liberal causes.

Hey Billy, liberals don't have a problem with Conservatives giving money to Republican groups, so why do you have a problem with a Liberals giving money to Democratic groups. And when are you going to expose who funded FOX News, and how much money they spend on their right-wing propaganda News Network, the Heritage Foundation, the American Enterprise Institute, PNAC, the Media Research Center, which has an annual budget of $6 million dollars, who funds them Billy. Fair and balanced right?

And it sure is funny how "Billy" never mentions any of this:

In 1994, a core group of 12 conservative foundations controlled more than $1.1 billion in assets; from 1992-94, they awarded $300 million in grants, and targeted $210 million to support a wide array of projects and institutions.

Over the last two decades, the 12 have mounted an impressively coherent and concerted effort to shape public policy by undermining and ultimately redirecting what they regard as the institutional strongholds of modern American liberalism: academia, Congress, the judiciary, executive branch agencies, major media, religious institutions, and philanthropy itself.

They channeled some $80 million to right-wing policy institutions actively promoting an anti-government, unregulated markets agenda. Another $89 million supported conservative scholars and academic programs, with $27 million targeted to recruit and train the next generation of right-wing leaders in conservative legal principles, free-market economics, political journalism and policy analysis.

And $41.5 million was invested to build a conservative media apparatus, support pro-market legal organizations, fund state-level think tanks and advocacy organizations, and mobilize new philanthropic resources for conservative policy change. The strong role that conservative foundations have played in shaping national and state policy debates reflects not only impressive cash reserves, but also a sophisticated funding strategy.

And we never even got into the hundreds of millions, if not billions that have been invested in far right religious colleges like Pat Robertsons Regent University, etc. Conservatives far out-spend liberals in America for political gain, and have every year for the last 40 years, yet Billy ignores that.

Hey "Billy" why dont you report on any of that. After all, you are a fair and balanced Independent traditional journalist, in the no spin zone, right?

    O'Reilly Wrong on Another Prediction

  • 4-24-07 -- On the 3-20-07 O'Reilly factor Billy interviewed the mayor of Salt Lake City, Rocky Anderson. During the interview mayor Anderson said Bush and Cheney should be impeached. Billy said not one member of Congress would ever file papers to impeach Bush or Cheney because they had not committed any crimes.

O'Reilly said he was irresponsible, and foolish, and accused him of subverting his own country.
O'REILLY: You're foolish and you're subverting your own country. Subverting your own country, that's what you are doing. You are an irresponsible person.
Guess what Billy, you are wrong again.

Dennis Kucinich to Introduce Articles of Impeachment Against Cheney

After it's introduction, the call for impeachment will be reviewed by the House Judiciary Committee. If it passes committee, a vote in the full house follows.

Memo to Bill O'Reilly: Explain This About Tim Griffin & Mr. Gonzales

  • 4-21-07 -- You say the Alberto Gonzales story is nothing but a smear campaign to make Bush look bad for the 2008 elections. You also said there is nothing to the story, and that Alberto Gonzales has done nothing wrong. Read this and tell me how this is nothing.

On Jan. 18, 2007 Attorney General Alberto Gonzales told the Senate Judiciary Committee, under oath, that "with respect to every United States attorney position in this country, we will have a presidentially appointed, Senate-confirmed United States attorney."

In the 4-19-07 Senate Judiciary hearing, under oath, Attorney General Gonzales said he never intended to take advantage of a Patriot Act provision that allows the administration to indefinitely name "interim" U.S. attorneys and avoid Senate confirmation. Gonzales also said it was a plan he "never liked" and immediately "rejected" it.

Gonzales told Sen. Mark Pryor when he pledged to him in late 2006 that he wanted "to go through a Senate confirmation" to get Tim Griffin installed as U.S. attorney.

So Tim Griffin went through Senate Confirmation right, WRONG.

On Dec. 15, 2006 George W. Bush named Tim Griffin as the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, replacing fired prosecutor Bud Cummins. Tim Griffin is the current U.S. attorney for Arkansas, and he was put there using the Patriot act provision Alberto Gonzales said he never intended to take advantage of, a plan he never liked, and a plan he immediately rejected.

In a Dec. 19, 2006 email, Kyle Sampson wrote to a White House aide, explaining the administration's strategy:
We should gum this to death. Ask the senators to give Tim a chance...then we can tell them we'll look for other candidates, ask them for recommendations, evaluate the recommendations, interview their candidates, and otherwise run out the clock.
Tim Griffin is the current U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, and he did not go through a Senate confirmation. They did exactly what they said they would not do, they used the Patriot act to put Tim Griffin in that job.

On Feb. 16, 2007 Griffin stated, that he does not want to face a confirmation grilling by a Democratic Congress. He's written the president suggesting he be replaced at some unknown date in the future. Under a provision snuck at the last minute into the reauthorization of the PATRIOT Act, Griffin can stay to the end of Bush's term--through the 2008 election--which is clearly why Griffin was "important to Karl," according to one e-mail released by the Justice Department. But Griffin has not offered his resignation.

Here we have the Attorney General of The United States of America caught lying "under oath" to the Congress, not once, but two times. We have the Attorney General, working with Karl Rove to fire an honest U.S. attorney for political reasons, and using the Patriot act to do it, after telling Congress "under oath" they would never do it.

And you call that nothing Billy, I call it perjury when you lie to Congress under oath. And let the record show that during the week of 4-16-07 to 4-20-07 Bill O'Reilly did not do one segment, or say one word about the Alberto Gonzales testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee on the factor, not a word.

For anyone who is interested in the truth on this issue, you can read these two articles.

Bill O'Reilly is Basically Ignoring All Negative Republican News

  • 4-20-07 -- This is a fact, Bill O'Reilly pretty much ignores all Republican scandals, yet he attacks every liberal in America. He attacks Rosie O'Donnell and the liberals in America on a nightly basis, even though they are hollywood celebs, not elected officials in any State or Federal governments.

While doing his nightly attacks on hollywood liberals who have no power, make no policy decisions, foreign or domestic, and hold no elected office, he ignores real news scandals by elected officials in the Congress and the Senate who do hold an elected office.

If Rosie O'Donnell says he called mexicans wetbacks (which he did) on an entertainment tv show, it's the lead story on the factor. but if a Republican Congressman resigns from a Committee because the FBI raided his business Billy totally ignores that story. Here are just a few recent examples of important news stories Bill O'Reilly has ignored because they all involve Republicans.

    1) The Alberto Gonzales story, O'Reilly has refused to cover it, except for one TPM and one segment on the story a month ago on 3-23-07. He said it was nothing but a made up story by the Democrats and the liberal media to make president Bush look bad.

    2) Doolittle resigns from Appropriations Committee: Yesterday, Congressman John Doolittle, R-Calif., has decided to give up his seat on the House Appropriations Committee after FBI agents searched his house as part of a congressional influence-peddling investigation related to Jack Abramoff. Doolittle received $64,500 from Abramoff. Abramoff let Doolittle hold fundraisers in his sky box for free, and paid to send Doolittle's top aide to Puerto Rico. Abramoff also hired Doolittle's then-chief of staff, Kevin Ring, who in turn helped hire Doolittle's wife.

    3) On 3-20-07, Former Deputy Interior Secretary J. Steven Griles pleaded guilty to "lying to Congress" about his relationship with Jack Abramoff. Not a word from Billy.

    4) On 3-19-07, The FBI raided a business tied to the family of Rep. Rick Renzi (R-Ariz.) thursday afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation into the three-term lawmaker. According to media reports the Justice Department has been running a two-track investigation into Renzi regarding a land deal, as well as a piece of legislation he helped steer that may have improperly benefited a major campaign contributor. As a result of the raid, Renzi is stepping down from his seat on the House Intelligence Committee. Not a word from Billy.

    5) 78: Percentage of Americans who believe immigrants now in the U.S. illegally should be given a chance at citizenship, according to a USA Today/Gallup poll, showing "the American public appears to have reached a consensus on the question." Not a word from Billy.

    6) Senate confirms ethics inquiry into Domenici: On 4-17-07, The Senate adopted resolution (S. Res. 153) confirming that Senator Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) is the subject of a "preliminary inquiry" over his involvement in the firing of former U.S. Attorney David Iglesias. Not a word from Billy.

And those are just a few examples, I could give you 100 more, it's conclusive proof Bill O'Reilly ignores real news stories that involve Republicans because he is a Republican himself, and he does not want to make them look bad. If we had a Democratic president, and all these scandals involved Democrats they would all be reported by O'Reilly.

When Bill Clinton was president O'Reilly reported on every single scandal by any Democrat in America, no matter how small a story it was, and whether they were convicted or not. Now that George W. Bush is the president, and his approval rating is 33 percent, Billy is ignoring all Republican scandals to limit the damage to the Republican party in the 2008 elections.

Bill O'Reilly is Ignoring The Alberto Gonzales Lies to Congress

  • 4-20-07 -- Yesterday Attorney General Alberto Gonzales testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee, he was caught in a lie and O'Reilly totally ignored the story, the hearing was not mentioned, not a word on the factor.

Billy has claimed in the past, in the one lone story he did on the issue, that Alberto Gonzales has not done anything wrong, but when you lie to Congress it is doing something wrong, it's called perjury. And if he did nothing wrong, why is he lying to Congress. Here is a detailed explanation of how Alberto Gonzales lied to Congress, this is for all the braindead/brainwashed Bill O'Reilly fans who write me and tell me Billy is an honest fair and balanced journalist.

Yesterday in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Attorney General Aberto Gonzales said that he never intended to take advantage of a Patriot Act provision that allows the administration to indefinitely name "interim" U.S. attorneys and avoid Senate confirmation.

But in a Dec. 19, 2006 e-mail, Gonzales's then-chief of staff Kyle Sampson wrote an e-mail explaining the administration's plan for installing Karl Rove's protege Tim Griffin as U.S. attorney in Arkansas:
We should gum this to death. Ask the senators to give Tim a chance…then we can tell them we'll look for other candidates, ask them for recommendations, evaluate the recommendations, interview their candidates, and otherwise run out the clock.
There it is Billy, proof that they planned to use that provision in the Patriot act. Not to mention Kyle Sampson resigned over that e-mail, and Monica Goodling resigned, she has refused to testify, and is taking the 5th. Monica was the senior counselor for Alberto Gonzales, and she was also Justice's liaison to the White House.

So two top aides to Alberto Gonzales have resigned over this, including one who is taking the 5th, Gonzales has been caught lying to Congress, five Republican Congressman, two Republican Senators, many Democrats in the House and the Senate, and a conservative legal group have all called for Gonzales to resign, and O'Reilly calls it nothing.

Then during his testimony he said "I do not recall" 74 times, when he had a month to prepare for this hearing. He first said he had nothing to do with the 8 U.S. attorneys being fired, in a March press conference he said he was not involved in seeing any memos, and was not involved in any discussions about what was going on. Now we know he was involved, and he even approved the firing of the 8 U.S. attorneys.

Yesterday he said he did not recall when he made the decision to fire the 8 U.S. attorneys, but he said he remembers making the decision, how is that possible? How can you remember making a decision, but not remember when you made it? And the decision was most likely made in November of 2006, because they were fired on 12-7-06, so how could he forget a decision he made just 4 or 5 months ago?

And btw Billy, in that Senate hearing there were 10 Democrats and 9 Republicans. Only one Republican supported and defended Alberto Gonzales, Orrin Hatch. The other 18 Senators criticized him, including every Republican Senator but one. And the two Senators who hammered Gonzales the most were Republicans. So that blows your liberal conspiracy theory out of the water.

More Proof Billy is Spinning The Liberal Conspiracy Angle in Gonzales Case

  • 4-19-07 -- Today Alberto Gonzales testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Billy claims it is all just a big liberal smear campaign to get Gonzales fired to make Bush look bad. Yet in the hearing today two Republican Senators hammered Gonzales more than any Democratic Senators did. If this is some big liberal only smear attack as O'Reilly claims, why are two Republican Senators hammering Gonzales more than any Democrat.

Specter Dresses Down Gonzales: Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) said today that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' opening testimony continued "a pattern of not being candid." Specter proceeded to ask the Attorney General to resolve his contradictory statements, noting that he should be able to answer them since he has spent weeks preparing.

Gonzales interjected, "I prepare for every hearing, Senator." A livid Specter responded, "Do you prepare for all your press conferences? Were you prepared for the press conference where you said there weren't any discussions involving you?"

Gonzales, put on the defensive, conceded, "Senator, I already said I misspoke. It was my mistake." When Specter pressed about the specific question of whether he prepares for press conferences, Gonzales said "we do take time to try to prepare for the press conference."

"Let's move on," Specter said. "I don’t think you're not going to win a debate about your preparation, frankly." Gonzales chuckled.

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) to Gonzales: You should resign.
COBURN: Mr. Attorney General, it's my considered opinion that the exact same standards should be applied to you in how this was handled. It was handled incompetently, the communication was atrocious. It was inconsistent. It's generous to say that there was misstatements, that's a generous statement. And I believe you ought to suffer the consequences that these others have suffered, and I believe the best way to put this behind us is your resignation.
What say you Billy, do you still plan to lie to your viewers about this story, or will you finally tell the truth and admit it is a real story with bi-partisan critics. How can it be a liberal smear campaign when Republicans are calling for Gonzales to resign, answer that Billy.

More Evidence O'Reilly Lied About Liberal Conspiracy in Gonzales Case

  • 4-17-07 -- On March 23rd Billy said this:
O'REILLY: Once again I'm put in a position of having to defend the Bush administration, which is not my job. My mandate is to watch the Bush administration and everybody else, to watch those who hold power in this country. But the U.S. attorney thing is absurd, a fabricated event designed to hurt the president and make it easier for the Democrats to consolidate their power and elect a president in 2008.
His theory is that it's all just a big liberal conspiracy by the Democrats in Congress and the Senate, and all the so-called liberal media to hurt president Bush. But to make that crazy theory believable it would mean only liberals are calling for Gonzales to be fired. Which is not true, at least 5 Republican Congressman, and 2 Republican Senators have called for Gonzales to resign. Not to mention a conservative legal group sent a 2 page letter to president Bush and Alberto Gonzales, in that letter they detail why he should resign. Yet you don't hear a word about any of this on the Factor.

Because Billy wants you to believe there is nothing to the story, and that it's just a liberal smear campaign to get Gonzales fired. If he told you about all these conservatives calling for Gonzales to resign it would implode his entire liberal conspiracy theory. So he just ignores it, and lies to his viewers about the facts in the case.

Conservative Legal Group Calls For Gonzales to Resign
"Mr. Gonzales has presided over an unprecedented crippling of the Constitution's time-honored checks and balances," it declares. "He has brought rule of law into disrepute, and debased honesty as the coin of the realm." Alluding to ongoing scandal, it notes: "He has engendered the suspicion that partisan politics trumps evenhanded law enforcement in the Department of Justice."

The letter concludes by saying, "Attorney General Gonzales has proven an unsuitable steward of the law and should resign for the good of the country. The President should accept the resignation, and set a standard to which the wise and honest might repair in nominating a successor."

Daily Show/Colbert Viewers Most Knowledgable, Fox News Viewers Next to Last

  • 4-16-07 -- Here it is Billy, proof that people who watch the FOX News channel are almost the least informed people in America. FOX News viewers tied for next to last as the least informed people who watch or read the news. The FOX News viewers only beat out dead last by 1 percent, and those are morning network shows that are not even news shows, they are entertainment shows.

The best part is the Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert came in at #1 at 54 percent when they are fake news shows. Yet the real news channel, I mean so-called real news channel, came in tied for next to last at 35 percent. The O'Reilly Factor came in at #5 with 51 percent, and I bet you hear all about that tonight on the factor.

I would so love to see O'Reilly spin that, but I am guessing he will ignore the study and not say a word about it, except for the part where he mentions his show at #5 with 51 percent.

I thought Billy said the Daily Show viewers were nothing but stoned slackers, so how is it they are the most informed people in America, and the FOX News viewers are some of the least informed. And if FOX News is a non-biased news source, why are their viewers close to the least informed people in America?

Answer that FOX lovers, and you too Billy.

O'Reilly Left Out Many Details in The Alfredo Ramos Drunk Driving Story

  • 4-13-07 -- When Billy reported on the story of the illegal immigrant who killed the two girls in a drunk driving accident, he only reported what he wanted you to know. He did not report all the facts, he put his spin on it, ask yourself this, would an objective and impartial journalist do that?

Here are the facts he left out:
-- Virginia Beach averages 9 alcohol related fatalities in the City each year. O'Reilly called that chaos and anarchy.

-- His first DUI was in Chesapeake, VA, not Virginia Beach as O'Reilly implied. Judge Whitehurst is from Chesapeake, VA. He is also the Chief Judge of the General District court in Chesapeake. That little tidbit is being left out by Billy because it would show that Virginia Beach is not the one who let him go.

-- The Virginia Beach Immigration Policy was crafted internally by the Police Department in July of 2004 and the formal policy was adopted by the Command Staff in September of 2005. Neither the Mayor nor anyone else on City Council had any input into this policy. It is also similar to polices of many other major city police departments. Yet Billy blamed the girls deaths on the Mayor and the City Council.

-- Virginia Beach Police Chief Jake Jacocks Jr. said the nearly universal opinion of the police chiefs he has spoken to about this are consistent with his policy, and that is, not only do they NOT have the capacity to do the Federal government's work in the area of immigration, we have no business doing so.

-- Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is both understaffed and under-funded, and typically does not respond to calls from local police who have undocumented aliens in custody unless the charges are major felonies or otherwise high profile. In fact, ICE told them there is nothing they can do unless the individual is arrested for a felony. In the case of Mr. Ramos, they did notify ICE and they have issued a detainer for him. Yet Billy blamed the mayor and the police chief for not deporting him after a DUI conviction, even though deportation is the job of the federal Government. Billy also said the police chief did not notify ICE, which is a lie, he did notify ICE, and they told him they will not deport him unless he is is arrested for a felony.

-- O'Reilly was upset by a Virginia Beach policy that forbids patrol officers from asking the immigration status of defendants charged with misdemeanors. Virginia Beach Police Chief Jake Jacocks Jr. said the policy is similar to those used by other large cities and is necessary so that illegal immigrants will report crimes and help in the prosecution of crimes without fear of retribution from law enforcement.
So if you want to blame anyone, blame the federal government for under-funding ICE. And blame the federal government for their lack of immigration enforcement. Don't blame the mayor and the police chief who are just doing their job with the resources and the manpower they have. The person who is really at fault is Alfredo Ramos, he is the one who got drunk, got in a car, and killed two girls. Whether he was illegal or not, he decided to get drunk and two girls died, so he is at fault, yet O'Reilly wants to blame everyone but him.

Geraldo Puts The Smackdown on O'Reilly

  • 4-6-07 -- Finally Geraldo has decided to set O'Reilly straight on his insane links to people dying and illegal immigration. Two young girls were tragically killed by a drunk driver in Virginia. This is a drunk driving issue, not an illegal immigration issue. Geraldo was on the show and he called out O'Reilly's BS for exactly what it was. Exploiting an isolated incident to make cheap political points.

As Geraldo pointed out, there were 347 drunk driving deaths in Virginia in a year, only one was caused by an illegal immigrant. Yet Billy cherry picks that one case and declares that to be chaos, 1 out of 347 is chaos, not in my world. And notice that Billy don't give a damn about the other 346 people killed by drunk drivers, he only cares about the one guy who was an illegal immigrant.

Billy blamed her death on the city, the mayor, and the immigration laws, hey Billy, what happened to personal responsibility, don't you think we should blame the guy who got drunk and killed the girl. Funny how your own standards change when an illegal immigrant does something.

Even the girls father said it was not an immigration issue. Tessa Trachant's father said that making an issue out of immigration loses the focus that the girls were killed by a man that police said was driving drunk.
Ray Trachant said, "We need to heal, and to bring immigration, that's disrespectful to a family who's just mourning."

O'Reilly Edits E-Mails Sent to Him by Liberals

  • 4-4-07 -- When someone tells Billy that he is a biased right wing conservative he says send me an example sir, and I will report it. Okay, here was an example, yet Billy edited all of it out, including taking words out of a quote, which is a cardinal sin in Journalism. Quotes are to be reported exactly with no editing. This is dishonest journalism, there is no other way to put it.

I got an e-mail from a guy who said O'Reilly read his e-mail on the factor. But he edited the hell out of it. The guy said O'Reilly even used quotes without saying words were left out.

Here is what he wrote to Billy:

    Bill,

Maybe no one in the media cares what Rosie says except for you and your spin. I've never seen Rosie on my ballot. Face it Bill, she's not a newsmaker. Maybe she says things for Fox to keep her in the conservative cable headlines. And you guys do so well at that.

    Tom Huston
    Hanover, MD

And here is what Billy read on the air:

Face it Bill, she's not a newsmaker. Maybe she says things for Fox to keep her in the headlines.

O'Reilly Lied About Why People in Europe Hate America

  • 4-3-07 -- Actually they don't hate the American people, they hate the Government, specfically they hate George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, the Republicans in Congress who support Bush and Cheney, and the Bush administration.

Yet Billy claims they hate us because of what Rosie O'Donnell and Sean Penn said, now that is about as ridiculous as it gets. The people in Europe agree with her and the left in America, so how in the hell could they hate us for what she said when they like what she said, and agree with her, explain that Billy.

Those ridiculous opinions from Billy are nothing more than right wing propaganda to protect George W. Bush, and make it look like the reason people in Europe hate America is because of things the far left say.

    The truth is this:

Professor Markovits wrote about why people in Europe hate America, and the vast majority of experts agree with him, only right wing nutjobs like O'Reilly disagree with his findings.
Forty-eight percent of Germans think the United States is more dangerous than Iran while only 31 percent believe the opposite. Even more than the German average, young people in particular - 57 percent of 18-to-29-year olds - held this to be the case.

This survey merely confirms the findings of others in Germany and Europe that were conducted over the past few years and that demonstrate unmistakably that the United States is massively distrusted and disliked by a majority of European publics. In the words of Tom Friedman, America has become "radioactive" to many in the world.

There can be no doubt that many disastrous, irresponsible -- indeed criminal -- policies by the Bush administration, as well as its haughty demeanor and arrogant tone, have contributed massively to this unprecedented vocal animosity on the part of Europeans toward Americans and America.

Indeed, they bear responsibility for having created a situation in which anti-Americanism has mutated into a sort of global antinomy, a mutually shared language of opposition to and resistance against the real and perceived ills of modernity that are now inextricably identified with America.
Yet Billy (the right wing lunatic) claims they hate us because of what Rosie O'Donnell said, when most of Europe likes what she said, and agree with her, so how do they hate us because of what she said, when they agree with her. They hate George W. Bush in Europe, so they like anyone on the left who speaks out against him. Remember that when Bill Clinton was president the people in Europe generally liked America, their opinions have only changed to hatred since George W. Bush took office in January of 2001.

O'Reilly wants you to believe his insane argument to make the left look bad, when the real reason people in Europe hate us is because of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and the Republicans in Congress who ran the government for 6 years. People in Europe could care less what Rosie O'Donnell says, and that's if they even know what she says, which I doubt they do. I don't care what she says, or what anyone in Hollywood says, because they are not elected officials, they are in show business, not the Government.

The foreign and Domestic policies of George W. Bush, are what people in Europe and America care about, not the opinions of some Hollywood actor, and that is the no spin truth.

O'Reilly is Spinning The Iraq Troop Surge

  • 4-2-07 -- In the last 2 weeks O'Reilly and some of his Republican friends have been hammering anyone who does not agree the troop sure in Iraq is working. Billy said journalists who do not report the suge is working are dishonest far left liberals who ignore the truth to hurt President Bush.

That statement from Billy is dishonest partisan right wing garbage. What the reporters he refers to are doing is called honest journalism. They reported that things are getting a little better in the Baghdad area, but they also report the suicide bombings, and the death count for Iraqis and U.S. troops, it's called giving both sides of the story, which is exactly what a real journalist should be doing.

Billy wants everyone in the media to give rosy reports on Iraq to make Bush look good, and he thinks anyone who does not do that is a biased far left journalist who only wants to make Bush look bad. That is total right wing bias and spin, Billy is the one who is being dishonest, the other real journalists are just doing their job.

The truth is this, attacks in the Baghdad area have gone down, this is a fact. But what he don't tell you is attacks in the rest of Iraq are up, U.S. troops are still dying every day, and Iraqis are still dying every day. Actual attacks in Iraq are down, yes, but the death toll is not down, in fact, Iraqi deaths are up for march, and the U.S. troop death numbers are up for March over February.

Billy says that reporting should be based on facts, ok good, now here are the facts:

Iraq death toll jumps 15 percent in March

4-1-07 -- At least 2,078 people died in Iraq last month, 15 percent more than in February despite a massive security crackdown in Baghdad.

A significant increase in Iraqi civilian, army and police deaths was evident last month. Civilian deaths topped the toll with 1,869 Iraqis killed in insurgency and sectarian bloodletting in March, compared to 1,646 in February. Another 2,719 civilians were wounded last month, compared to 2,701 in February.

    U.S. Troop Deaths in Iraq:

    January 2007 - 83
    February - 80
    March - 81

Billy is spinning the surge, and he hammers other reporters for being biased, yet he is the dishonest so-called journalist who only reports on the number of attacks going down, while ignoring the fact that deaths are up across the board. How can the surge be working if deaths among Iraqis and U.S. troops are up, explain that to me Billy.
