The Tuesday 3-31-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - April 1, 2009 - 12:25pm
The TPM was called European Agenda. Billy talked about what Obama should do at the G-20, like he is gonna listen to his right-wing garbage. Then O'Reilly cried about the Obama administration not using the words war on terror, Billy said it was ridiculous and makes Obama look weak. Which is just more right-wing bull, who cares what they call it, as long as they do the right things to fight the war on terror. Only right-wing fools care what it's called.
Then he had some reporter for a london newspaper, Sarah Baxter, and the Democrat Nancy Skinner on to debate it. O'Reilly said he was offended that Obama stopped using the words war on terror. Huh? How is he offended, it's crazy talk, as in Glenn Beck crazy. Nobody cares what they call it, except a few right-wing nuts. All I care is that they do a good job in fighting the war on terror, I could care less what they call it. End of story, move on Billy.
Next O'Reilly did something really strange, he reported on the Biden daughter cocaine story. He had Chris Myers from radaronline.com on to discuss it. But O'Reilly said he did not like reporting it, that the story has not been proven, and that he would not use the words that describe what she is accused of. So when Myers explained it O'Reilly had his people bleep his word every time he said snorting cocaine.
Earth to idiot, you can read the guys lips and see exactly what he was saying, so the bleeping was worthless. Not to mention it was all over the internet so we all know what he was talking about. Instead of bleeping the guy, you should have just ignored the story and not even reported on it. Why have the guy on and bleep him, it makes no sense, and just shows what a moron you are. Either do the story, or dont do it, dont have the guy on then bleep him. Especially when we all know what he was saying anyway.
Then the is it legal garbage with the two biased Republican legal experts, Lis Wiehl and Kim Guilfoyle. They talked about Palin and her $500,000 legal debt, they said she can only raise $1,000 per person and she can not promote fundraising. So the great O'Reilly, the so-called Independent and not a Republican O'Reilly. Billy told everyone he would promote a fundraiser for Palin, kick in $1,000, and make sure he finds 499 other people to do the same, and get her legal bills paid. Yeah he's an independent, and I'm Donald Trump.
Name the last time O'Reilly helped a Democrat raise money to pay legal bills, that answer would be never. But he did help Scooter Libby and now Sarah Palin. They they talked more about 13 year old girls sending nude pics on the internet. Get over it Billy, you are a dirty old man who just likes to talk about that story. Then octo-mom garbage.
Then a totally biased right-wing segment on ACORN, with some Republican attorney, Heather Heidelbaugh. And of course no Democrat to provide the balance, so it was just total one sided bias with two Republicans. She cried about ACORN and voter fraud, even though there has not been one proven case. They did have voter registration fraud, but no actual voter fraud, which is two different things.
Get over it losers, you lost by a landslide, 360 to 180, so even if you did find a few cases of voter fraud it would not have made a difference, because Obama crushed McCain. A few workers for ACORN signed up fake names to get paid for them, like Mickey Mouse etc. but that person never voted, and there was no voter fraud. And only right-wing idiots keep talking about ACORN, when they did nothing wrong, except register Democratic voters, which makes Republicans like O'Reilly mad.
Then the lame Dennis Miller was on to talk about the Spain investigations, Sean Penn, and Glenn Beck. Miller and O'Reilly trashed Spain and Billy said he takes it personally. Why, the only people who care are Republicans and the guys in the Bush administration. And if you are an Independent like you claim, you should not even care, because nobody else does. Which proves once again that O'Reilly is a Republican, because only Republicans care about what Spain is doing.
Miller said he dont care much about Penn and will not boycott his movies. Billy used the old garbage line about how Penn hates America, which is insane right-wing propaganda. Then they made fun of Beck and pimped the Miller DVD. And the show was almost over, a show that was high on fluff and low on substance. It was one of the worst shows O'Reilly has done in a while, and did not give me much to write about.
I normally take 4 pages of notes (or more) for a show, but last night I barely used 3 pages. It was mostly right-wing propaganda that nobody cares about, tabloid trash, or biased ACORN crap that is not true. And a couple times during the show Billy had Trump and Regis do a pre-recorded tape saying how great he is for having the #1 show for 100 months. When nobody cares but him, and news shows are not measured by ratings, they are measured by the quality of the news they report, and the accuracy in that reporting.
The last segment was the total waste of tv time culture quiz with the two FOX morons, Doocy and McCallum. This thing is so lame I am shocked it has not been dropped yet. It's just a waste of tv time. Then the pinheads and patriots garbage, and the ego driven e-mail segment. And another Factor show was over, thank God.
The Monday 3-30-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 31, 2009 - 11:25am
The TPM was called Spainish Insult. Billy said Spain was insulting America by starting an investigation of some people in the Bush administration, that may lead to war crime trials. Which is just more right-wing garbage, it may be an insult to Bush and the people in his administration, but it's not an insult to America. It's O'Reilly spin, the same spin he used when Bush was in office and he said people who criticize him hate America, no jerkoff they hate Bush.
Billy said if they go forward with the investigations he will not visit Spain again, and maybe even call for a boycott, just like he did with France. Wow I bet their shaking in their boots, not. Then O'Reilly put one of the Bush guys who is under investigation on to put his spin on it, Doug Feith. He also had some right-wing woman on to discuss it, AnneMarie McAvoy.
Both of them agreed with O'Reilly and the 3 of them sat there spinning it for 4 minutes with nobody to provide any balance. It was basically a Republican circle jerk with 3 right-wingers. Billy said Feith did nothing wrong, called it a kangaroo court, and said they are nuts to go after him. AnneMarie said Billy is 100% right, and called it a liberal attack, or something like that.
Here is a reality check for the 3 right-wingers, Spain is right to do it, because they are guilty of war crimes. The problem is they do not go after Bush or Cheney, when they should also be included. And the members of Congress here should also investigate these guys. O'Reilly just dont like it because they are Republicans, if they were Democrats O'Reilly would support it 100 percent. He is only opposed to it because he is a Republican, and that's some real no spin.
Then Newt Gingrich was on to put out more right-wing spin with no Democrat guest for balance. Billy said Obama was considering troops on the border, then he asked Newt if Obama should put troops on the border, Newt said yes. Billy said he agrees, and called for troops on the border, for the millionth time. Then they talked about Afghainstan, Billy asked Newt if he agrees with Obama sending more troops there, Newt said yes.
What's funny is O'Reilly said we can not win in Afghanistan unless we can go into Pakistan, and we cant, so we cant win. Except 2 years ago (in 2007) O'Reilly said Bush already won in Afghanistan. But now that we have a Democrat president suddenly we have not won, and cant win. Which shows that O'Reilly is a right-wing fraud who changes his analysis based on what party the president is in.
Then Billy did a segment about the CEO for GM resigning. O'Reilly said Obama fired him, and he was shocked that a president could do that. When that is not 100% accurate. The Obama administration told GM that they did not like their restructuring plan, and that if they want any more bailout money the CEO will have to resign, or no more bailout money. So the CEO decided to resign, he was not fired by Obama, he decided to resign so the company could get more bailout money if they needed it.
Then O'Reilly has Williams and Ham on to discuss it. And what's funny is O'Reilly said if he was the president he would have done the same thing. When 2 minutes sooner he was spinning it and acting like it was wrong. Williams and Ham kissed O'Reilly's ass as usual, Ham called it creepy stateism, and Juan pretty much agreed with her. She even said she did not like it when they agree, when it happens all the time because Juan is more a Republican than he is a Democrat.
O'Reilly asked them if they would put the military on the border, Ham said yes, Juan said no, and that's the only thing he disagreed with O'Reilly on. Like who cares what these cable news nobody's think, I sure dont, and nobody else does either.
Then O'Reilly did another crazy segment about sex education and abstinence only programs. It's a right-wing issue, just like abortion, and Billy cant get enough of it. Anna Quinlin wrote an article saying abstinence only programs do not work, and Billy flipped out, even though she is right. So he does a segment to counter her article with one right-wing nut and nobody to give the other side. In O'Reilly would that's called fair and balanced journalism.
He put Elayne Bennet on to say abstinence only programs do work. When it's a proven fact they do not work. Congress even did a 9 year study of 5,000 kids from all walks of life, and they found that kids who were taught abstinence only had as many pregnancies as the kids who were taught to use condoms etc. Yet O'Reilly and these right-wing nuts like her continue to deny reality. And her reason of why it works was ridiculous, O'Reilly even picked up on it.
She cited the pregancy rate in some school district and claimed it shows that abstinence only programs do work. But she failed to mention that abstinence only was not the only thing they had, they were also taught other sex education, not just abstinence, so her argument was flawed. And btw, O'Reilly agrees with her 100%, and even donates money to her crazy charity. So he is living in denial right along with her. Abstinence only does not work, and only crazy Republicans refuse to admit it, even when studies have proven it does not work.
Then the culture warrior morons, the 2 Republicans Margaret Hoover and Monica Crowley. Billy the old gimmer (who still thinks it's 1950) cried about a sexy Carl's Jr ad that's on the internet. My God man get over it, it's 2009 and that stuff is nothing. You see worse than that on Baywatch, or on all the spring break video you run every night. It's not 1950, so move on, and even the culture warriors had no problem with it.
Then later in the segment O'Dummy even said he had no problem with the ad, huh? You just cried about it for 4 minutes claiming it was too sexy, and then you say you have no problem with it, then why do 4 fricking minutes crying about it. Billy just reported on the ad so he could run it for all his perverted viewers. Because that stuff gets good ratings, it's not news, and it's worthless, but it gets ratings so Billy runs it.
Then he pimped his lame View appearance, when nobody cares, except him. Then the no reality and no reality check Reality Check garbage.
1) Billy trashed Podesta and Zucker once again for no reason, then he said UPS is a bad company, but he did not say why, he said it because they pulled their advertising from his right-wing spin show.
2) John McCain talking about Sarah Palin, saying he might not support her for President in 2012.
3) The military saying they may not change the dont ask dont tell policy right now.
4) Oprah talking about lesbian women who go gay and hook up with butch looking lesbians, ummm, huh? How that's a reality check on anything I'll never know. And why even report it, I mean who cares.
5) Obama press spokesman late for daily press conference, and some nobody reporter scolded him for it, who cares, and how is that a reality check.
6) John Doe #17, Billy said the feds asked him to show his photo and see if anyone knows where he is.
Then pinheads and patriots and the lame e-mails. And another waste of tv time O'Reilly Factor was over. It was all right-wing spin, all the time, with no reality, no news, and no facts, just right-wing spin by O'Reilly and all his conservative friends.
O'Reilly Exposed as Biased Pro-Life Fraud
By: Steve - March 30, 2009 - 6:25pm
Last week O'Reilly had an is it legal segment with his two right-wing stooges from FOX, Megyn Kelly and Lis Wiehl. They talked about a lawsuit involving Dr. George Tiller in Kansas. Dr. Tiller does legal abortions for women who want them. O’Reilly said he had copies of medical records that prove Dr. Tiller was "executing babies." O’Reilly claimed that Tiller and another abortion provider were breaking a law and stated "George Tiller will execute babies for $5,000 if the mother is depressed."
In 2007 O'Reilly interviewed a woman who claimed to have been deeply traumatized by a late term abortion at Tiller’s clinic. Bill then made his crusader call, when he urged a massive protest at Tiller’s clinic; "There should be thousands of people protesting outside Tiller’s abortion clinic in Wichita." In February, Bill sent out his stalker, Porter Barry, to stalk Tiller who immediately called 9-11. And It should be noted that because of that type of incendiary garbage by O’Reilly, Dr. Tiller has required police protection from homicidal "pro-lifers."
O'Reilly had a pro choice advocate, Amy Richards who defended Tiller. Ignoring the principal of "innocent until proven guilty," O’Reilly screamed "I don’t care what you think. We have incontrovertible evidence that this man is executing babies about to be born because the woman is depressed…if you don’t believe me, I don’t care…You are OK with Dr. Tiller executing babies about to be born because the mother says she’s depressed."
Billy also claimed that their is evidence that the clinic was not reporting the names of those who raped young girls getting the abortions. When Richards said that the clinic might not have the names, Billy said "we know they do." And btw, Tiller has been shot two times by pro-life nuts and had his clinic bombed, yet O'Reilly never reports any of that, and even fuels their fire by calling for protests and doing lie filled shows about the doctor.
O'Reilly called him a murderer, a baby killer, and many other things that were not very nice. But despite O’Reilly's "pro-life" crusade against him Dr. Tiller was acquitted last week of all 19 charges. Jurors found Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller not guilty on all 19 counts after deliberating for just over an hour.
So it turns out Dr. Tiller was only guilty of performing legal abortions. For that he was called a murderer and a baby killer, and O'Reilly claims he only deals in facts, if that's true the meaning of facts has changed, because O'Reilly did not get anything right. It was nothing more than a smear job on Dr. Tiller by the pro-life Bill O'Reilly and his two lying right-wing legal stooges.
O'Reilly Caught Lying About The Ratings Again
By: Steve - March 28, 2009 - 11:45am
The friday O'Reilly Factor had this:
Impact SegmentHow ridiculous is that, NBC Nightly New with Brian Williams is #1, and they have been for years, yet O'Reilly claims they are in trouble, how?
Dire times for NBC?
Could NBC be in major trouble?
From mediabistro.com, March 24th:
The NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams was the most-watched evening newscast last week in Total Viewers. From mediabistro.com, March 17th:
Total Viewers: NBC: 8,600,000 / ABC: 7,910,000 / CBS: 6,080,000
Make it 22 weeks in a row for NBC Nightly News. The Brian Williams broadcast was the top-rated evening newscast last week.Earth to Billy, how is NBC in trouble when they are #1 every week, and have been for 23 straight weeks, answer that jerk.
Total Viewers: NBC: 8,940,000 / ABC: 7,810,000 / CBS: 6,370,000
O'Reilly claimed the far-left media is falling apart, he said the ratings at FOX are up 30%, and that MSNBC had no increase at all. Which is just a lie.
According to Nielsen Media Research. Fox's ratings have jumped 30 percent and MSNBC, the new No. 2, is up 24 percent. The biggest growth in cable news is for CNN's partner, Headline News, which is up 62 percent.
O'Reilly flat out lied about the ratings for MSNBC, and never said a word about CNN losing 2nd place to MSNBC for the first time ever. O'Reilly was saying the ratings for MSNBC have hit rock bottom. When the facts show that to be a lie, and they actually had a 24% increase.
Read this from the March 27th AP story at the NY Times:
NEW YORK (AP) -- CNN is poised to finish March third in the prime-time weeknight ratings behind Fox News Channel and MSNBC, the first time this has ever happened for the channel that pioneered the cable news genre nearly three decades ago. What's really funny is O'Reilly does a segment with two lies, he says NBC is in trouble, when they are #1 in the ratings, and have been for 23 weeks straight. Then he says the ratings for MSNBC have collapsed, and that they had no increase at all. When they just beat CNN for the first time, and they had a 24% increase in ratings from March of 2008.
Through Wednesday, Fox was averaging 2.73 million prime-time viewers in March. MSNBC had 1.16 million and CNN had 1.14 million. The March ratings period ends Friday, and it's doubtful CNN will be able to overcome MSNBC.
This is dishonest journalism folks, from Bill O'Reilly, he just makes it up and hopes someone believes it. There are no facts, just right-wing spin from O'Reilly. FOX is up 30%, and that's the only thing O'Reilly got right in his reporting. MSNBC is also up, 24%, but O'Reilly lied about that, and even ignored the fact that they beat CNN.
O'Reilly says nothing about CNN dropping to #3, and only having a 1% ratings increase. Because they dont have Keith Olbermann who exposes his fraud every night. So he just smears MSNBC to get revenge on Olbermann. If anyone is in trouble it's CNN, yet O'Reilly never said a word about them, and claimed MSNBC and NBC are in trouble, it's pure insanity, and nothing but lies from O'Reilly.
And btw, I am only reporting on these ratings because O'Reilly lied about them, if he would not lie about them, I would never report on ratings for any news shows.
The Friday 3-27-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 28, 2009 - 11:35am
The TPM was called In It To Win It. Billy talked about how Obama is in it to win it in Afghanistan by sending more troops. Then he agreed with Obama, and thinks he is right to send more troops. What's funny is back when Bush was president a Democrat told O'Reilly we are losing in Afghanistan and we need more troops, O'Reilly told the Democrat we already won, so we dont need more troops.
Billy said this in October of 2006:
Despite widespread reports of the Taliban's resurgence in Afghanistan, Bill O'Reilly baselessly claimed that it is a "myth" that "Afghanistan's going backwards" and declared that "the Bush administration has won a victory in Afghanistan."
During a discussion with Sarah Sewall, director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, O'Reilly claimed that "we were successful in Afghanistan"; that it is "a myth" that "Afghanistan's going backwards," as Sewall claimed; that "there's always going to be a Taliban insurrection" in Afghanistan; that "every military analyst working for our team says most of that country is pacified"; and that "our information is that there's no danger at all of the Taliban reclaiming that country, none.So which is it O'Reilly, you cant keep your lies straight. When a Republican was president you said Bush already won in Afghanistan and we dont need more troops. Now a Democrat is president and suddenly you admit we have not won and we do need more troops, talk about flip flops, you are the king of flip floppers. And he wonders why ThinkProgress and Media Matters go after him, because of stuff like that, all the lies and spin.
They'll be annoying. There'll be guerrilla warfare." When Sewall tried to argue otherwise, O'Reilly declared her to be "just parroting the left-wing line that America doesn't know what its doing." Sewall replied: "I'm parroting conversations with commanders who are in uniform serving bravely in Afghanistan."
In fact, as the Associated Press reported on 10-02-06, "Afghanistan is suffering its heaviest insurgent attacks since a U.S.-led military force toppled the Taliban in late 2001 for harboring al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden." According to the AP casualty count, which is "based on reports from U.S., NATO and Afghan officials, at least 2,800 people have been killed nationwide so far this year," making this year, as ABC News reported "the bloodiest fighting" in Afghanistan "since the Taliban was toppled in 2001."
Then Billy had a cop killer segment with the protest organizer Bakari Olatunji and former San Fran Mayor Willie Brown. O'Reilly and the Mayor hammered the guy and told him the protest was wrong, and for once I agree with O'Reilly and the Mayor. Yes the cops target black people unfairly, and they have a valid complaint for racism and racial profiling. But you cant have a march calling a black man a hero for killing four cops, that is just wrong.
Then O'Reilly had the far right nut job Bernie Golbberg on again. They talked about the spin and lies O'Reilly has been spewing out about NBC, MSNBC, ThinkProgress, etc. Bernie said he roots for chaos over there, so he's a real winner. And of course no Democrats on to provide the balance and give the counterpoint. Just the usual one sided right-wing bias that O'Reilly does 99% of the time.
They both compared them to Stalin, which is just ridiculous, and they only say that because they dont like them. Billy said the far-left media is falling apart, but Bernie disagreed, so even he is not buying the O'Reilly lies on that. Billy also speculated that CNBC made a deal with the Democrats to take it easy on them if they hire Howard Dean. Bernie even disagreed with Billy on that too, and said there is no proof of any deal. O'Reilly said he thinks there is, so it must be true, even though it's pure speculation, and he can not prove it.
For a guy who never speculates, and only deals in the facts, he sure speculates a lot with no facts. Like every night, or close to it. Then the Ryan Moats story, about the cop who was suspended for not letting him see his dying mother in law. Geraldo was on to talk about it, and he called it racial profiling. Billy said he dont buy it, and will only believe it if it is proven. Ummmm, ok, how?
How do you prove the cop racially profiled him, unless the cop admits to it, you cant jerkoff. So it can not be proven unless the cop admits he did, which he would never do, unless he wants to be fired. So the standard for racial profiling from O'Reilly is impossible to meet, which just goes to show he will defend the cops no matter what they do. Billy also talked about Mexico and called for troops on the border again, but Geraldo disagreed.
Geraldo said what I said, no troops, if they need help get more Border Patrol agents, and that is what most people say, only crazy O'Reilly and a few of his wacked out right-wing friends want troops on the Border.
Then the stupid What's Your Beef segment. Billy had the actor Matthew Modine on to talk about Obama. What's funny is O'Reilly tells us to ignore what all these Hollywood pinheads say because nobody cares what they think about Politics. Then he reports on what they say almost every fricking night, and even has them on the Factor to tell us what they think. It's crazy, and just stupid.
I dont care what they think, any of them. If they are not in office, or a journalist, I dont care what they have to say. They have a right to say it, I just dont care what they say. So live by your own rules you moron, stop reporting what they say, and stop having them on your show.
Then the Norte Dame controversy, Billy says "some people say" they dont want Obama to speak there. Who are these people, name them. What he means is some right-wing religious freaks dont want Obama to speak there because Obama is pro-choice, and they are pro-life right-wingers. O'Reilly dont report that, he says "some peope say" when the only people saying it are right-wing bible thumpers who call abortion murder.
Glenn Beck was on to talk about it, and even Beck said it was ridiculous, that they should respect the president and let him speak there. Billy called it legitimate dissent, when that's just bull. It's insane dissent from a few right-wing wackos who are all pro-life freaks. Then Billy mentioned the abortion doctor Tiller was aquitted in his trial, the trial Billy said he was guilty of murder and would be found guilty.
WRONG! Tiller was found not guilty, so O'Reilly was wrong. He called the guy a baby killer, and said he was guilty of murder. When all he did was perform legal abortions on mothers who wanted them. Earth to O'Reilly, it's legal you right-wing jackass. And you were wrong to call him a murderer, so when will you give him an apology. Never, would be my guess. Abortion is legal, so doctors who perform abortions are not baby killers, or murderers, get that through your thick skull.
Then Beck and O'Reilly talked about how crazy Beck is and how Dennis Miller hammered him. Billy gave him a chance to get him back, and he also gave O'Reilly a mickey mouse hat, why, who knows. The whole segment is a waste of tv time and just more one sided right-wing bias. At the end of the segment Billy put the mickey mouse hat on and everyone laughed, haha. And that's news, how?
Then the TV Icon garbage with Potsie from Happy Days, the lame pinheads and patriots, and the stupid hand picked highly edited e-mail segment.

The Thursday 3-26-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 27, 2009 - 12:15pm
The TPM was called Mexican Drug War. Billy talked about Hillary saying the USA is almost as much to blame for the drug war in Mexico as they are. While I am not so sure that is true, O'Reilly actually agreed with her. Billy admitted she was mostly right. Then somehow O'Reilly twisted it into blaming liberals in some strange way.
Earth to idiot, the people who sell the drugs, who do the drugs, and who sell them the guns are to blame, not any liberals. Billy had some advice for Hillary, like she listens to him, haha. He said put troops on the border and make it a 20 year prison sentence for all gun crimes. Once again, earth to idiot, more gun laws are not the answer. Guns dont kill people, people do, or did you forget that?
As long as we have the 2nd amendment you are not going to stop guns from getting into Mexico, and even if we did stop it here, they would just get the guns somewhere else you fool. Then Billy had Dr. Marc Lamont Hill and the right-winger Marc Thiessen on to discuss it. Dr. Hill said the drug war is a failure, and O'Reilly actually agreed with him. Which is shocking, for once he admits reality.
Now if he would oppose the $200 million dollars a year the Government throws away on those stupid anti-drug ads that dont work, he would really come back to reality and gain a little respect from someone. The winger who is a former Bush speech writer claimed that drug use went down under Bush. If it did it was only because the economy was so bad people had less money to buy drugs.
I know people that do drugs, mostly smoke pot. And they tell me there is no shortage of drugs at all, and in fact, they say the drugs are way better and more available now than they were 4 or 5 years ago. Which proves that the drug war is a massive failure. If 20 million people want a drug someone is going to get it to them, and nothing anyone does will stop that, especially when you can grow the stuff yourself if you have to.
Instead of admitting reality, and just make pot legal, we waste Billions of dollars a year busting people for non-violent drug possesion. It's crazy, and you can never stop it. So why not make it legal, regulate it, tax it, and make money from it. We would save Billions in the process by not having all these court cases and housing millions of people in prison for a simple drug possesion crime. Dont they ever learn, prohibition didn't work either, and neither has the drug war.
Earth to Congress and the Government, just pass a federal law making pot legal. Then regulate it and tax it just like cigarettes. Then the price of pot will go down so far the Mexican drug lords will be put out of business. Did you idiots ever think of that?
And btw, Billy once again called for troops on the border, please shut up already. You have been calling for troops on the border for years, it's not gonna happen, and we have the Border Patrol for that, so shut up. If they need help get more Border Patrol agents, so shut the hell up about troops on the border.
Then Laura Ingraham was on to spew out her usual right-wing propaganda, trash Obama and everything he does. Billy also trashed Obama and his liberal policies that he claims will bankrupt America. Laura cried about Americorp and said we cant afford it. At least she admitted the Republican alternative budget was a joke, but that's about the only reality that happened in that segment.
Then the smear job Soros attack segment, see my other blog posting for more details about it. Billy had Dagan McDowell and some crazy right-wing idiot named Cleta Mitchell, wow is she crazy, maybe even crazier than Glenn Beck. She said Soros bought the White House, and the entire Congress, it was so off the charts crazy McDowell cut her off and told her she is in pie in the sky land, or something like that. Cleta is so nuts she should never be allowed on tv again, and be kept away from sharp objects.
Then Billy had some nut from ABC on to talk about a nightline story about the devil. How is this news? It's religious garbage, Billy even said it was scientific, then he talked about a movie, the exorcist, that's scientific? The whole segment was right-wing religious garbage, and does not belong on a so-called news show.
Then Megyn Kelly was on to talk about a cop killer march by african americans. Now I agree it's wrong to march in support of a guy who killed four cops. But O'Reilly and Kelly said they hate America, which is insane, and just as wrong as the march. That's just right-wing garbage. It's the same crap O'Reilly used when he called anyone who did not support Bush America haters, it's nothing but right-wing BS.
They also talked about the abortion doctor Tiller, they call him Tiller the baby killer. Kelly even called it murder. Earth to idiots, abortion is legal, look it up. And it's been legal for a long long time. That means when an abortion doctor performs an abortion it is not murder, it's a legal operation that the mother wants, try to remember that you right-wing freaks. And of course nobody was on to give the counterpoint, just the two pro-life right-wing idiots.
Then the no reality reality check garbage.
1) Meghan McCain will not do the Factor, ok, who cares, and where is the check.
2) Jackie Mason (a Republican and regular Factor viewer) sent Billy a letter hammering him for saying he is a racist. Then Billy spent 2 minutes trying to explain how he took no position and how he did no such thing, earth to Billy, nice try.
3) Cindy Sheehan called Obama a war monger, it looks like she has gone Glenn Beck on us, and that just ruined what little of her 15 minutes she had left.
4) Billy played a video clip of George Clooney talking about his hair. How this is a reality check on anything I have no idea. It was just stupid, and a total waste of time.
5) Then a Jay Leno joke, no check, just the joke.
6) Then Billy told us again for the billionth time that he was #1 in the ratings. There was no check, just Billy reminding us once again that he is #1 in the ratings. Earth to Billy, nobody cares but you, it's meaningless that you get 3 million right-wing idiots to watch your propaganda show every night, nobody cares.
And btw sparky, that's 1% of the population, that means 297 million people are not watching you. Think about that, oh great one. What it means is 99% of Americans do not watch your right-wing garbage.
Not to mention ratings for news shows are meaningless. If Keith Olbermann had 5 million viewers a night I would not care, and I would not report it. NBC News is #1 with 10 million viewers a night, and I dont care, I also dont report it, because news shows are in business to inform the people, not get ratings, so nobody cares about ratings but you. Get over it, having 3 million right-wing idiots watch you every night means nothing.
More Proof O'Reilly Ignores Real News For Partisan Reasons
By: Steve - March 27, 2009 - 8:25am
Ever since the financial crisis (Bush and the Republican party) caused, O'Reilly has said nobody could have predicted it, and nobody warned him or the folks. When that is just a lie, and nothing but right-wing propaganda. And not only does O'Reilly say that, he tries to blame it on Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, when they had nothing to do with any of it.
The real cause of the problem was the 1999 Gramm, Leach, Bliley act that removed the Glass-Steagall regulations that protected investors and prevented all the banks from merging, and let the insurance companies into the mortage security business. Back in 1999 a Democrat Byron Dorgan not only predicted the crisis, he voted no and warned against passing it.
Then on top of that in 2005 the liberal Paul Krugman wanred of the housing bubble about to burst and cause a major financial crisis. He wrote an article in the NY Times called "That Hissing Sound" where he detailed the problem. O'Reilly ignored all that, and even dismissed Krugman as a Bush hating liberal that had no clue what he was talking about.
Here is what O'Reilly ignores about Gramm, Leach, Bliley and Senator Dorgan.
Ten years ago. The year the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act was born. The bill was introduced by three Republicans: Gramm, Leach, and Bliley. It removed a Great Depression era regulation that said banks, investments banks and insurance companies all had to be separate.
Gramm-Leach-Bliley cleared the way for big financial companies to be all of those things wrapped into one. Big companies with huge internal incentives to take risks, companies that were so complicated they couldn‘t really be regulated, and companies that were so big that the government felt that they could not be allowed to fail.
In 1999, when this was being debated, Democratic Senator Byron Dorgan from North Dakota saw it coming. On May 6th, 1999, on the Senate floor, Mr. Dorgan said, quote, “This bill will, in my judgment, raises the likelihood of future massive taxpayer bailouts.”Then on Rachel Maddow Wednesday night Dorgan said this.
Dorgan wrote in the “New York Times” on November 5th, 1999, said quote “I think we will look back in 10 years time and say, we should not have done this, but we did because we forgot the lesson of the past, and that which is true in the 1930s is also true in 2010.”
Dorgan: You know, in the 1930s, we saw banks merge with, you know, real estate and security risks and the whole thing collapsed, ‘20s and ‘30s, and—so, we put in place, I wasn‘t here, but they put in place laws like Glass-Steagall to prevent all of that. And then, 1999, we were told, that‘s so old fashioned. Let‘s strip that away and allow big financial holding companies, one stop financial shopping.
And I thought it was nuts. I mean, how on earth could we forget the lessons that were so important that we learned so well and with such pain about seven decades prior?
You know, there is a culture. And the culture is that Wall Street knows best. This was a huge deal to repeal the protections that were put in place after the Great Depression, a huge deal.
This allowed these huge financial holding companies, allowed to bring significant risk into the banks, and, you know, they just ran hog wild. And now, we‘re in a situation in 2009 where we‘ve seen this financial crisis and collapse, massive taxpayer bailouts.
After that legislation passed, it stripped away all those protections and allowed all the big banks to marry up and decide that they loved each other and want to get together and merge, immediately after that, George W. Bush came to town as a new president and he hired regulators who were willing to boast about being willfully blind. They didn‘t want to regulate. They said, you know what, it‘s a new day. There‘s a new sheriff in town, the sheriff is not interested in watching what you do.
And the result is, we saw all of these credit default swaps and CDOs, all these exotic financial instruments, these derivatives, in 1996, I wrote the cover story for “Washington Monthly” magazine on the subject of derivatives and pointed out there were tens of trillions of dollars of derivatives out there. The title of my cover story for the “Washington Monthly” magazine was, “Very Risky Business.”
And I had four different bills to try to regulate derivatives and hedge funds. I hope now, perhaps most people will understand in the Congress and, I think, the American people understand, we need regulation. It‘s not a four-letter word. We need effective regulation.
And yet Billy said nobody predicted it, and never says a word about Phil Gramm or the 1999 Gramm, Leach, Bliley act. Because he is too busy dishonestly blaming Frank and Dodd for partisan reasons to try and blame them for the problem. When the bill was sponsored by 3 Republicans, the bill that caused the problem we have today.
Dont you wonder why O'Reilly never mentions Phil Gramm, or the 1999 Gramm, Leach, Bliley act? Think about it.
Billy also cried for weeks how nobody warned him, or the folks. When there was a Paul Revere out there warning him, and the folks. That Paul Revere was Paul Krugman, the economics professor from Princeton. The very same professor who won the Nobel prize for economics for his writing on the issue. And the very same professor O'Reilly called a Bush hating fool that you should ignore and not listen to.
In August of 2005 Paul Krugman wrote this:
That Hissing Sound
By PAUL KRUGMAN
August 8, 2005
This is the way the bubble ends: not with a pop, but with a hiss.
Housing prices move much more slowly than stock prices. There are no Black Mondays, when prices fall 23 percent in a day. In fact, prices often keep rising for a while even after a housing boom goes bust.
So the news that the U.S. housing bubble is over won't come in the form of plunging prices; it will come in the form of falling sales and rising inventory, as sellers try to get prices that buyers are no longer willing to pay. And the process may already have started.
Of course, some people still deny that there's a housing bubble.
The U.S. economy has become deeply dependent on the housing bubble. The economic recovery since 2001 has been disappointing in many ways, but it wouldn't have happened at all without soaring spending on residential construction, plus a surge in consumer spending largely based on mortgage refinancing. Did I mention that the personal savings rate has fallen to zero?
Now we're starting to hear a hissing sound, as the air begins to leak out of the bubble. And everyone - not just those who own Zoned Zone real estate - should be worried.
Those people that were denying it were Bill O'Reilly, FOX Business Shows, CNBC, and a lot of Republicans like Hannity etc. Then after the crisis happened they acted like they had no idea it was going to happen and even blamed the Democrats. When the whole thing started in 1999, then it was allowed to happen during the 8 years of the Bush administration.
And yes I know this is a very long blog posting, but sometimes it takes a long time to report the facts, and do real journalism. Unlike O'Reilly who just ignores all the facts to spin all the blame on 2 Democrats that had nothing to do with the problem.
To read the rest of the 2005 Krugman article go here:
Professor Krugman not only predicted the housing crisis, he warned the folks, and O'Reilly. The problem is they ignored him, FOX, O'Reilly, Cavuto, and all the right-wingers on tv called him a liberal nut and dismissed his warnings as partisan Bush hating garbage, when Mr. Krugman had it exactly right, and if they had listened to him we might not be in the situation we are today.
It also shows how biased and dishonest O'Reilly is, by ignoring all this information. It proves that Bill O'Reilly is a biased partisan right-wing hack, and not a journalist. A real journalist would report this information, and O'Reilly has never said a word about any of it. In fact, it's pretty sad that someone like me has to report it, when I am not a real journalist and it's not my job.
Great Example of Bias & Stupidity From Bill O'Reilly
By: Steve - March 27, 2009 - 8:15am
Last night O'Reilly did a ridiculous, biased, and stupid (smear job) attack on George Soros with two Republicans. What was the great crime Soros was guilty of to earn such an attack. He made money last year, legally, $1.1 Billion to be exact. Billy attacked and smeared the man because he made money as a hedge fund manager, even though it was all legal.
What's really funny is the top 25 hedge fund managers made a total of $11.6 Billion last year. Including 3 who made more than Soros did, he was only #4 on the list. Yet O'Reilly never said a word about the other 24 hedge fund managers, or the 3 that made more than Soros. Billy singled out Soros for the biased and unfair attack, only because he is a liberal that O'Reilly does not like.
O'Reilly even compared him to the devil, he actually said Soros is the devil. And what's also funny is that when a Republican makes a lot of money O'Reilly calls him a genius, a great man, a hero, and an example of how great America is. But when a liberal makes a lot of money he is called the devil and Billy says he is un-American for making money when the country is having hard times.
The stupid part is when Billy asked Dagan if she would invest her money with Soros, and she said hell yes I would. Because the man made $1.1 Billion while the economy was crashing, so clearly the man is smart, and knows how to make money even during hard times. Billy said Soros is the devil and he would never invest with him. Which just shows how stupid O'Reilly is.
I hate Republicans, but if I had money to invest with a hedge fund, and the guy running it was a Republican who made $1.1 Billion in a bad economy, I would invest with him in a heartbeat. O'Reilly would not invest with Soros only because he is a liberal, so he would put his partisan ideology ahead of making money for his family, now that's a stupid man, and a fool.
The entire segment was right-wing garbage, and nothing but a personal partisan smear attack on George Soros, for simply making money while liberal. Billy ignored the other 3 hedge fund managers who made more than Soros did. And the other 24 who combined made $11.6 Billion, O'Reilly never said a word about any of them.
Soros made that money legally, he did nothing wrong. His only crime in O'Reilly world was being a liberal who made money. Earth to Billy, he made that money legally. Why do you have a problem with liberals who make money legally, answer that jackass. It was so ridiculous even Dagan McDowell disagreed with O'Reilly and praised Soros.
Billy Wins Gold in Worst Person in The World
By: Steve - March 27, 2009 - 8:00am
From the Wednesday Countdown with Keith Olbermann:
OLBERMANN: Our winner is Bill-O, still in full naked panicky fear about being eclipsed by Glen Beck's success at Fixed News. You heard about his delusion that MSNBC News somehow got ThinkProgress.org to blog about his hypocrisy in speaking at a rape victim's fund-raiser after having repeatedly blamed the rape victim. Naturally, Joe McCarthy Jr.'s response was to stalk Amanda Terkel, the woman who had written the blog post.
Now he has expanded on his fantasy that MSNBC chairman Jeff Zucker wrote the post for Ms. Terkel, reading on air what he claims was a viewer e-mail. “Why did the far left and NBC attack your support of a charity, Bill?"
"Well," he answered, "the Factor has destroyed NBC's cable operations in prime time, Michael. That is their motive over there."
The "New York Times" just reported that the news operations over here, MSNBC, MSNBC.com, NBC News, CNBC, Weather Channel and Telemundo News, that combined we had a profit of 775 million dollars last year. How much you make, buddy?
Oddly enough, this is just in from the Australian financial magazine "VRW," Rupert Murdoch is now worth 57 percent less than he was worth this time last year, from 7.9 billion dollars Australian to 3.4 billion. Bill, with ratings like Beck has been getting, Rupert is not going to wait that long to move him into prime time, maybe into your time slot. Arrgh, maty. Bill-O the sad clown, today's worst person in the world!
ThinkProgress Responds to The O'Reilly Smear Job
By: Steve - March 26, 2009 - 11:00am
Last night on The Factor, Bill O’Reilly offered a host of attacks on ThinkProgress and Center for American Progress President and CEO John Podesta that were rich with irony.
Ignoring the role of Fox News in smearing progressives, O’Reilly said Podesta is “driving the hate industry. … Podesta’s website is devoted to hurting any prominent person who disagrees with liberal politics.” He also falsely attacked Amanda Terkel, again, for “harming a rape victim and her family.” O’Reilly told his audience:
Why should you care about any of this? Well, because it’s your country. A well-coordinated, well-financed cabal attacking dissent is a pretty big story.
We agree, Mr. O’Reilly. Your “well-coordinated, well-financed” Harassment Machine that attacks dissent is a pretty big story. That’s why we need O’Reilly’s corporate advertisers to tell him to shut down his “ambush journalism.”
In the lead-in to O’Reilly’s show, Fox host Shep Smith said, “I tell you who never screws up — and if he does, don’t even mention it. That’s this guy.” Indeed.
At the conclusion of the segment, O’Reilly’s guest Dick Morris conceded the central point that we have been asserting -- that O’Reilly’s comments about rape victim Jennifer Moore were insensitive. Morris told O’Reilly, “You talk on the air for hours every day, you make one misstep out of hundreds of days, and they’re all over you.” But O’Reilly won’t even acknowledge he made a “misstep.”
O’Reilly conceded our campaign is having an impact. “If you go to this ThinkProgress website,” the Fox News hatemonger said, “anybody who disagrees with Barack Obama in the public eye gets smeared and slimed. … They’ll go after your sponsors, they’ll go at your house, they’ll go after your family.” (No, in fact, we’re only going after your sponsors, Mr. O’Reilly. You’re the one going to our house to stalk us.)
Speaking of our ThinkProgress team, O’Reilly said, “They’re insects.”
Update: Last night Keith Olbermann also made O'Reilly his Worst Person, mocking his "panicky fear about being eclipsed by Glenn Beck's success" and criticizing him for stalking TP's Amanda Terkel.
NOTE From Steve: What's really sad is that for 30 years Republican groups like the Heritage Foundation, AEI, MRC, ACU, AFA, TCC, FRC, Citizens United, Freedom Watch, etc. have done exactly what ThinkProgress does and O'Reilly never says a word about any of them. They are well financed, and they pay people to go on tv news shows and spin, lie, and smear Democrats, yet O'Reilly has no problem with that, and never says a word about any of it.
There is a right-wing smear machine, and it's been out there for 30 years, the problem is O'Reilly ignores it because he is a Republican and part of that right-wing smear machine. Somehow he only has a problem with liberal groups that do exactly what the conservative groups are doing. The truth is he dont like it when the other side does it, because they expose him as the lying biased right-wing fraud he is.
In O'Reilly world it's ok if a Republican does it to a Democrat, but if the Democrat fights back and does it back to Republicans it's a smear and unfair. I say good job ThinkProgress, it's about damn time we fight back and use fire against fire and level the playing field. The real story is that O'Reilly is mad because groups like ThinkProgress and Media Matters now have the power to expose the spin and lies O'Reilly and his right-wing friends put out.
Billy hates it because they tell the truth about him, and that makes him mad. He wants to be able to spin out his non-stop right-wing propaganda with nobody showing what lies and spin it is. They quote him and publish the video of him saying something, word for word with no editing. Then O'Reilly calls that a smear job, when it's only the truth, and his own words right from his own transcript. Bill O'Reilly just cant handle it when people show the stupid and biased things he says.
So he tries to smear them and make people think they are in the wrong, it's an old Republican trick, when you are attacked you go on the attack against them. That used to work 20 years ago before the internet and google, now people can get the truth from any computer, so that trick is worthless today, yet O'Reilly still tries it, which just shows how stupid he is.
There is an old expression that fits here, actually two, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And what goes around, comes around. Billy you are getting unto you what you do to others, and you are getting what comes around, and in my humble opinion it's about damn time.
The Wednesday 3-25-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 26, 2009 - 8:00am
The TPM was called Far-Left Desperation. O'Reilly claims he has destroyed the ratings at NBC, ummmm, dont look now Billy but NBC is #1, and they have been for a long long time. Billy said the ratings at MSNBC have hit rock bottom, when that's just a lie. Olbermann is still #1 with over 1 million viewers a night, and he even beats Larry King, which O'Reilly used to brag about when he did it.
Billy went on some crazy far right rant about how the liberal media is in trouble. He attacked John Podesta, Think Progress, NBC, MSNBC, and Media Matters. He called it a well financed cabal that wants to silence everyone on the right. It's just insanity, they dont want to silence anyone, they just want them to tell the truth. All they do is expose the bias, the spin, the lies, the hypocrisy, and the double standards from O'Reilly and his right-wing friends.
And how do they do that, they quote his own words, in O'Reilly world that's smearing him. Then he twists that into they lie about him and want to silence him. It's just pure right-wing garbage. O'Reilly just dont like that fact that they tell the truth about him, so he tries to smear them and make people believe they are the liars so it will ruin their credibility. I got news for you Billy, nobody on earth believes that propaganda but your idiotic kool-aid drinking viewers.
Then after that crazy rant O'Reilly had the stupid Dick Morris on to spin it even more. Morris implied the White House is involved with them, when it's pure speculation with no evidence to back it up. Even O'Reilly said he will not blame Obama until he has proof. Okay, proof of what, that people tell the truth about you and all your lying right-wing friends. There is no proof of anything, it's all right-wing propaganda.
Morris said everything they say about O'Reilly is a lie, ummmm, so publishing the Factor transcripts is a lie? Morris is just an idiot, and he should not even be allowed on the streets, or around sharp objects. Billy called them all smear merchants and said they are opposed to dissent. Which is just more insanity, earth to Billy, dissent is fine, as long as you tell the truth. Lying about Obama is not dissent, it's dishonesty.
Morris said O'Reilly makes 1 mistake a month and they go crazy about it and claim he is dishonest. Now that's funny, O'Reilly makes 1 mistake a minute, as in a lie that Morris calls a mistake. To even say that you have to be totally stupid, which Morris is. Then Billy had the biased righ-wing fraud of a corrupt pollster Frank Luntz on to spin the Obama press conference study he ran. It's worthless garbage, and not even worthy of reporting.
Then O'Reilly did a whole segment about Obama dropping the war on terror slogan, and calling it the overseas contingency operation. Billy had some right-wing moron from the Heritage Foundation Peter Brookes on to discuss it. There is one problem with the segment, it's a fricking lie. The Obama administration denied it, and O'Reilly did a whole segment on it anyway. Hey Billy, is that more of what you call being fair to Obama.
3-25-09 - AP - President Obama's administration denied Wednesday dropping the phrase "global war on terror" for the formulation "overseas contingency operation."During the segment O'Reilly even admitted that he does not know if Obama changed it. Yet he still did a whole segment on it with a biased Republican from the Heritage Foundation. Hey Billy, what happened to you never speculate and only deal in the facts. What the hell do you call that, it was all speculation with no facts at all.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs echoed Orszag in saying there was no such "language or memo."
Then Billy did the biased policing the net segment with the right-wing Amanda Carpenter. They talked about political donations Bernie Madoff made, and they claim 80% went to Democrats. Okay, so what, it happened before anyone knew he was a crook, and it's a free country where you can give money to anyone you want. And what does that have to do with policing the net?
They talked about what the blogs and websites had to say about the Obama press conference. She said the right-wing websites and blogs did not say anything bad about Obama, except he was boring. Yeah right, and if you believe that I have some land to sell you. She said the liberal websites did not like the questions, Billy said they dont want tough questions, which is a lie. They only complained about the stupid questions, I know because I read all the liberal blogs.
The whole segment was just another one sided biased right-wing propaganda segment with no Democrats to provide any balance. There is no Democrat internet cop, just the right-wing Carpenter. All they do is spin everything to the right and agree with each others lies and spin.
Then Dennis Miller was on, Billy asked him what is fair to say about Obama. Who made him God, and what kind of moron goes to Dennis Miller to ask what kind of attacks are ok on the president. The whole segment was ridiculous, with Miller trashing Obama, making fun of his use of the teleprompter, and saying all the attacks on Obama from the right are fine with him. Of course they are, because he is a Republican and a giant O'Reilly ass kissing jerkoff.
Miller also said Obama was thin skinned and he has to learn to take a punch. Which is funny, because when Bush was president they attacked anyone who said one bad word about Bush, and claimed it was unfair and disrespectful. Suddenly it's ok to say bad things about the president and disrespect him when it's a Democrat. It's bias, hypocrisy, and a double standard. But Miller and O'Reilly have no problem with it, yeah because they are doing it.
Then O'Reilly did some stupid segment asking if Obama is hostile to the media, with Jane Hall and Jonathan Martin from the Politico. Billy said some people say he is, who are these people, name one, where are they, and who are they. Billy says it's wrong to cite un-named anonymous sources, except when he does it. Every damn night he says some people say, but he never names them.
O'Reilly trashed Obama again for the press conference, he said Obama was boring and he did not come off very well. What's funny is only Republicans said Obama was boring, including O'Reilly, yet he claims he is not a Republican. And if anyone believes that I have a bridge to sell you. Then the pinheads and patriots and the stupid hand picked highly edited e-mails.
And that ended another joke of a biased right-wing propaganda factor, where only one Democrat was put on the whole show, and she got to speak for a whole minute, maybe. As I predicted yesterday, the 3 Democrats who were on Tuesday night was a one time thing that will not be repeated again for a very long time, if ever.
The Tuesday 3-24-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 25, 2009 - 9:00am
Billy came on an hour late to do a post Obama press conference show. The TPM was called Media Joust. Billy said the Obama press conference was boring, dull, and repetitive, and he also said the Obama answers were long winded and evasive. Which is what all presidential press conferences are, in fact, I did not even watch it myself, and I am an Obama supporter.
What's funny is George W. Bush also had boring dull and repetitive press conferences. But O'Reilly did not say that then, because he loved Bush, and praised everything he did, even after giving a boring and bad press conference. That's the bias, in 8 years of Bush not once did O'Reilly trash him after a press conference, not once. In fact, he would put 5 Republicans on to praise Bush and say how great he is.
But now when Obama does a press conference O'Reilly is on the air calling him boring and dull, long winded and repetitive. When he never did any of that when Bush was the president. Hey Billy, what happened to we must support and respect the president, does that only count in your world when the president is a Republican?
Then Karl Rove was put on to agree with Billy, he said Obama was boring, that he mailed it in, and that he showed no emotion or passion. Earth to right-wing idiots, it's not a campaign speech, it's a damn presidential press conference, it is always going to be boring, that is why I do not watch them. But if he were a Republican you two jerks would respect him and not call it boring and dull, like you did when Bush was the president, think about that you biased two faced idiots.
And btw, during the Rove segment O'Reilly called Obama a socialist with socialist policies. When just two weeks ago he read an e-mail that said Obama is a socialist, then Billy said no he's not, and told the e-mailer that Obama is NOT a socialist. Then last night he says Obama is a socialist, Beckel even called him on it later in the show. I think Billy tells so many lies he cant keep em all straight, which is it O'Reilly, is he a socialist or not, take a position and stick with it. You cant have it both ways.
Then Democrat Bob Beckel was on, Beckel nailed O'Reilly in a sneaky and smart way. He said it was only boring to Republicans, that's you Billy. I think it went over O'Reilly's head because we never got the standard I am not a Republican lie from Billy. Beckel said Republicans are a joke because they cry about the Obama plans for the country while having no plan of their own, their whole plan is to just vote no on everything Obama wants to do.
Billy told Beckel the Obama press conference mumbo jumbo and boring. He actually used the words mumbo jumbo when referring to president Obama. Hey jackass, what happened to respect the president, how is that respectful, and that kind of garbage was never said when Bush was the president. Beckel said O'Reilly was spinning in the O'Reilly spin room, which was pretty funny, and true. Finally someone called him out for his biased spin, great job Beckel. Stuff like that is why Beckel is not a regular on the Factor, because he stands up to Billy and tells it like it is.
Then O'Reilly had Dick Morris on, the hooker toe sucker said Obama is smart but he bored everyone to tears. Which is why Billy loves Morris, because he is a right-wing ass kisser who says what they want to hear. Do you Republicans know that Morris is just a fraud who is running a giant con on you. He dont believe a word he says, he just says it to sucker you fools into buying his books and to visit his website. His whole act is one giant con game, he's a total fraud, and you suckers fall for it, hook, line, and sinker.
Morris said the Obama poll numbers will stay up if the economy does good, and go down if the economy does bad. Wow he's a fricking genius, I would have never known that if the hooker toe sucker had not told me, haha, NOT. Morris said it dont matter what the president says, ummmm, huh? He's the president, so it does matter. Just a month ago Morris said it does matter what the president says, and O'Reilly has even said what the president says does matter.
I think Morris has O'Reilly syndrome, say one thing one week then say the opposite the next week, then hope nobody notices you are a two faced lying fraud. Morris even said Obama has a secret plan to nationalize the banks, which is just pure speculation, especially when Obama has said the exact opposite. Even O'Reilly was not buying it, and told Morris that was just conspiracy talk, then he ended the segment.
Next Billy did one of his infamous ambush segments on some judge with that total jerk Jesse Watters. They ambushed a bad judge who probably deserved it, but when you also ambush people who do not deserve it you ruin any credibility you might get for ambusing people that do deserve it. Then the is it legal garbage with Megyn Kelly and Lis Wiehl. Which I think O'Reilly does just so he can get close to two sexy blondes, and get a cheap thrill. It's a biased segment with two Republicans and no Democrats.
And finally the last segment was with two Democrats, Alan Colmes and Alicia Menendez. Billy kept saying was I fair to Obama, was I fair to Obama, ummmmm, hell no you right-wing freak. You called his press conference, boring, dull, repetitive, and long winded. How in the hell is that being fair to Obama, in what world is that being fair. Especially when you never once said any of that about a Bush press conference. Hell no it was not fair you corrupt right-wing fraud.
Colmes (the token FOX News Democrat) even hammered Billy for calling the Obama press conferences boring and dull. Menendez said the press conference was great, so O'Reilly and his right-wing friends are the only people who hated it. Then O'Reilly said the people get mad when Obama is repetitive, ummmm, who are these people, REPUBLICANS?
I cant think of one person who gets mad when Obama does a press conference, especailly when he has a 63% job approval and he has only done two of them. It was a ridiculous and biased claim, with no facts to back it up, it was pure speculation and nothing but right-wing propaganda. Name one of them Billy, who gets mad when Obama does a press conference, except you and your idiotic right-wing friends who hate him, name one jackass.
Then the totally lame pinheads and patriots and the stupid ego driven e-mail segment. And another O'Reilly factor was over, thank God.
And btw, here is why O'Reilly had 3 Democrats on the show after an Obama press conference for the first time. So that in the future when someone says he is a biased Republican for having 99% Republican guests, he will point to this show and claim it proves he does a fair and balanced show, and that he is fair to Obama.
And if he did that all the time he would be correct, the problem is he does not do that all the time. The show last night was very rare, he actually had 4 Republicans and 3 Democrats. This happens maybe 2 or 3 times a year. The other 99% of the Factor shows have 4 or 5 Republican guests, and usually only 1 Democrat.
Basically last night was unusual, and it rarely ever happens. I do give O'Reilly credit for actually doing an almost fair and balanced show, but he is still a dishonest and biased right-wing hack. Doing one balanced show out of 100, is not being fair and balanced. It was just done to use as an excuse in the future to argue that he is fair to Obama.
Someone in the future will say to Billy that he is unfair and unbalanced when he talks about Obama. Then O'Reilly will say that's a lie, and he will say after the March 23rd Obama press conference I had more Democrats on than Republicans. While technically being true, it's still dishonest, and not proof he is fair to Obama.
It's a set up show, for O'Reilly to reference in the future to claim he is fair to Obama, and that he has a balanced show. I know because I monitor how many Republican guests and how many Democrat guests he has on every week. In an average week it's 25 to 30 Republicans, with 4 to 5 Democrats. Doing one show that's balanced, once a month, does not make it a balanced show.
O'Reilly Lies: by Amanda Terkel

O’Reilly Lies: I Always Let People Explain Themselves Or Appear On My Show Before Harassing Them
The harassment I experienced at the hands of Bill O’Reilly’s henchmen this past weekend was unfortunately not the first such incident by the network. Other victims include the New Yorker’s Hendrik Hertzberg, Gov. Jim Douglas (R-VT), the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Cynthia Tucker, and the Columbia Journalism Review’s Mike Hoyt.
On Aug. 24, 2007, O’Reilly defended his harassment machine:
As you may know, “The Factor” occasionally sends out producers to confront people who will not answer serious questions about controversial things they do, like judges giving child rapists probation, for example. For the record, I am neither a public servant, nor was I ever contacted by Fox News for the opportunity to issue a statement or appear on the O’Reilly Factor. Similarly, O’Reilly lied on-air after Watters’s ambush of Hertzberg, claiming that he had invited the journalist on the show. (He hadn’t.)
Now, some object to displays like these. But we feel they’re a vital tool in holding public servants accountable for their actions, and we do not go after people lightly. We always ask them on the program first, or to issue a clear statement explaining their actions.
We have now contacted multiple people at Fox, including Watters himself. We have yet to receive a response from anyone at the network.
During that same August 2007 show, O’Reilly even asked Watters if he feels “afraid” during his ambushes. Watters joked, “No, I’m just afraid to come back empty-handed for you.” O’Reilly said that Watters was becoming a “big star all over the world.”
O’Reilly Attacked Me As A 'Villain' For Highlighting His Rape Comments. As promised, last night, Bill O’Reilly aired his segment alleging that ThinkProgress caused “pain and suffering” to rape victims. Our unspeakable offense was contained in a March 1 blog post, which reported that O’Reilly had been invited to speak at a fundraising dinner for the Alexa Foundation, which supports rape survivors.
Our post highlighted the fact that in the past, O’Reilly has implied that women who dress in a certain way or consume too much alcohol should perhaps expect to be raped. Here is what he said on his radio show on Aug. 2, 2006, about Jennifer Moore, an 18-year-old woman who was raped and murdered:
Now Moore, Jennifer Moore, 18, on her way to college. She was 5-foot-2, 105 pounds, wearing a miniskirt and a halter top with a bare midriff. Now, again, there you go. So every predator in the world is gonna pick that up at two in the morning. She’s walking by herself on the West Side Highway, and she gets picked up by a thug. All right. Now she’s out of her mind, drunk.
Our post never criticized the Alexa Foundation. Nevertheless, last night on his show, O’Reilly claimed that ThinkProgress — working with NBC News — deliberately tried to cause pain and suffering for these rape victims. To make his point, he aired a highly-edited ambush interview with me from this past Saturday and concluded, “While Ms. Terkel is certainly a villain, she was obviously used by NBC News.”
Here are the two things that O’Reilly conveniently left out of his segment:
-- His Original Comments. O’Reilly said that he posted the full Aug. 2 interview about Moore on his website. But he did not repeat his comments on air, nor did he try to defend them — perhaps recognizing that they are indefensible. These comments elicited outrage from more than 900 signatories to a petition by the Concerned Citizens Against Sexual Violence.Producer Jesse Watters — who carried out the stalking and harassment — was right; I didn’t remember O’Reilly’s comments about Mel Gibson in that interview. While O’Reilly may think that on vacation, women sit around thinking about his old radio interviews — prepared to talk about them at any moment — the truth is that they don’t. However, we went back and checked out those specific comments, in which he equates Gibson getting drunk and making anti-Semitic comments to a woman getting raped while she is drunk:
-- His Harassment. O’Reilly never mentioned to his viewers how he scored that interview with me. He never contacted me for a statement or the chance to appear on his show before deploying his harassment machine. Instead, he sent his producers to stake out my apartment, follow me for two hours, and accost me while I was on vacation in Virginia (and the least prepared to recall a post I had written three weeks earlier).
I think it’s safe to say that if Mel Gibson didn’t get drunk, he wouldn’t be in this terrible situation he finds himself in. And if a young woman, 18-year-old Jennifer Moore of Harrington Park, NJ, didn’t get drunk, she’d be alive today.
To recap: I write a blog post highlighting comments O’Reilly made during his radio show. He sends his henchmen to harass me. I can’t immediately recall a three-year old O’Reilly interview when accosted on the street. He refuses to explain or apologize for implying that a dead rape victim should have been expecting the crime. And I’m the villain.
More on The Biased Garbage O'Reilly Said Last Night
By: Steve - March 24, 2009 - 1:20pm
What Billy said last night about Obama was so wrong, so biased, and so stupid I thought I would publish exactly what he said so people can see how crazy it is.
O'REILLY: The big rap against Barack Obama during the campaign was his inexperience. His time in the Senate was short and he never actually ran anything. Now he's running the most powerful country in the world and he's having problems, no question.
Earth to O'Reilly it's been two months, 60 days, of course he is having trouble, because the mess Bush left him was worse than we knew. But he still has a 63% job approval with the people, according to the latest Gallup poll. The only people he is having trouble with are biased Republicans like you.
O'REILLY: Last week was brutal for the president, as the AIG scandal made him and the Democratic Party look weak and confused. You are right about one thing, it is impossible to predict who is correct, but who should we listen to, you and the biased Republicans idiots who got us into this mess, or the president and his economic experts that were elected by the people to fix the problem. Why should we listen to you and your Republican friends when the 8 years of Republican rule caused this mess, answer that smart guy.
Let's begin with the big picture. Barack Obama believes that spending trillions of taxpayer dollars will blunt the recession and lead to major prosperity down the road because the USA will change its energy, health and income-generating policies.
Those who oppose the president say the spending is irresponsible and will eventually bankrupt America, causing the dollar to collapse and making a bad situation — the recession — much worse.
Right now it is impossible to predict who is correct. Both things could happen.
O'REILLY: But what is absolutely true is that Congressional Democrats have lost control of the massive government spending, as the AIG debacle demonstrates. In allocating trillions to help failed companies, the president, Treasury Secretary Geitner, Senate Banking Chief Chris Dodd, and House Finance leader Barney Frank apparently forgot to put any meaningful rules in place.
WRONG! Bush and his administration made the AIG deal, not Obama, or Dodd, or Frank, it was Bush you idiot. The AIG bailout happened in October of 2008 while George W. Bush was the president, he and the Congress did not put the bonus rules in the contract, Obama had nothing to do with it, he was not even elected president until November of 2008, and never took office until January 20th, 2009, try to remember that moron.
The recovery bill did not create the right for AIG -- or any company -- to pay bonuses. And AIG disclosed that it had entered into agreements to pay these bonuses more than a year ago. Neil Barofsky, a Bush-appointed special inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), stated in March 19 congressional testimony that the Bush administration knew about the AIG bonus contracts and did not insist on their abrogation as a condition of AIG's receiving bailout money.
O'REILLY: I know it sounds incredible, but there are no strings attached to giving away our money. Want to have a multi-million dollar party? Sure, take those bailout dollars and get down! Want to give millions to incompetent managers who drove businesses into bankruptcy? Fine. No problem. So that's exactly what AIG did. It's totally ridiculous, and Bush did it. Read my lips, the AIG bailout deal was done by George W. Bush, not Obama.
I mean, how ridiculous is that? The feds take over a failing insurance company or bank or car company, and they don't impose spending discipline? Are you kidding me?
O'REILLY: This is Hurricane Katrina redux. Spend billions and don't police where the money goes. Just keep sending and spending with no accountability. Now there are excuses all over the place, but the folks understand what's going on and the president is getting hammered because he's in charge. So Barack Obama should realize where he is and what has happened.
This is nothing like Katrina, and anyone who says it is has lost their mind. With Katrina Bush and his stooge Brownie who ran FEMA with no disaster experiene ignored the problem, because they do not believe the Government can help you. The AIG problem is one that Bush caused, and now Obama is just trying to fix the mess, he is not to blame, and you are a fool for even saying he is, Bush caused it, not Obama.
O'REILLY: First, the AIG deal has killed the blame Bush excuse. AIG happened on Obama's watch and that's that. So the president has lost a public relations club. President Bush certainly left a raging fire, but the heat is all on Mr. Obama going forward.
My God that is insanity, it's Glenn Beck type insanity, AIG did not happen on Obama's watch, it happened on Bush's watch, what planet are you living on, it's not earth that's for sure. Bush caused the AIG problem so how does it kill the blame Bush excuse? The heat is still on Bush because he did the AIG deal, and btw jackass, what happened to you give Obama a year to fix the problems. That year turned into 2 months, where is the year?
O'REILLY: Second, that's it for the spending. You took your shot, Mr. President. Now you have to restore confidence before launching into any more expensive programs. Get the economy right. Then we'll talk.First, you are a total idiot. The spending will continue no matter what you say, and it has to so we can get out of this recession and get the economy back on track. Only right-wing fools want to cut the spending in a recession, even most conservative economic experts will tell you that. And he needs new blood after 60 days, huh? Get a grip man, it's been 60 fricking days.
Finally, get new guys. You need new blood in the economic arena already.
"Talking Points" is not one of those wishing bad things for President Obama, but chaos is chaos and mistakes are mistakes. Fix them.
And stop lying, you do wish bad things on Obama, that's why you lie and smear him every night with 99% Republican guests, so who you trying to fool you jerk. Obama is fixing things, he cant do it in 60 days, so back off and give him the year you promised him. The polls show Obama has 1 to 2 years to fix the problems, yet on the Factor it's 60 days, what a joke, and you claim that's being fair to Obama, it's ridiculous, and totally unfair.
Billy also said this to Newt Gingrich:
O'REILLY: President Obama is losing public support. Ordinary working people are furious. The unintended consequence of this AIG thing is that it has people paying attention, and they're saying maybe President Obama doesn't know what he's doing. Every day his unfavorable ratings are going up.
When that is a total lie, and nothing but pure 100% right-wing propaganda. Obama has a 63% approval rating, as of today, which is still 2 points higher than last wednesday. His disapproval ratings are not going up with anyone, except O'Reilly and his right-wing friends. Everyone else supports Obama, at least 63 percent of everyone does, even 26% of Republicans support him, which is a miracle.
His unfavorable ratings have only went up with Republicans, and nobody else. That means the majority of the people support him, it also means you are a biased partisan Republican liar.
And btw, CNN just reported a new job approval poll for president Obama, they have him at 63% approval, which is higher then Reagan, Clinton, Bush Sr. or Bush Jr. at this point in March of their first term. Yet O'Reilly claims Obama is a failure and MOST of the people oppose what he is doing, when 63% approve, in my world that's a majority, in O'Reilly world that's failure with MOST people against you.
The Ridiculous Monday 3-23-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 24, 2009 - 10:20am
I have to say in the 8 years I have done this website monitoring O'Reilly last night was one of the most biased and dishonest shows I have ever seen O'Reilly do, the entire show was nothing but right-wing lies and propaganda, with no reality.
O'Reilly opened the show with this text on the screen as he talked, Over His Head?
And of course he was referring to president Obama, the TPM was called up to the task. Billy went on and on about how Obama is over his head, how he is having a lot of problems, how the majority of people now oppose his policies, and how his out of control spending will bankrupt America.
Then he blamed the whole AIG bailout problem on Obama, he even compared it to Katrina and Bush, then he said AIG happened under Obama's watch.
When all of that is lies, nothing but right-wing propaganda and lies. If Obama is having all these problems and the majority of the people oppose him, why is his job approval rating still 65% in the Gallup poll, and why did the Dow go up 497 points yesterday, and almost 1,500 points over the last 10 days, answer that O'Reilly you lying right-wing idiot.
Two weeks ago O'Reilly said the Dow was dropping because the street does not trust Obama, since then the Dow has went up something like 9 out of 10 days for an almost 1,500 point gain. Which just shows how biased and how stupid O'Reilly was on that issue. Now he is doing the same thing with his lies how Obama is in over his head, and how the people do not support him anymore.
Earth to O'Reilly, if you have a 65% job approval rating the majority of the people support you. To claim otherwise is nothing but lies and right-wing propaganda. Get your head out of your biased ass and stop reporting lies.
AIG happened under Bush, the Bush administration did the AIG bailout back in October of 2008, a month before Obama was even elected, and 4 months before he took over as the president. George W. Bush and Cheney did the AIG deal, not Obama. To now blame AIG on Obama and claim it happened under his watch is insanity. You are insane, a liar, and a total right-wing idiot.
Then the far right Newt Gingrich was on to agree with O'Reilly, which just shows how stupid and biased they both are. O'Reilly said Obama has enraged MOST of the people and that they have now turned against him, and Newt agreed. Which is pure right-wing propaganda, from two right-wing spin doctors, and just so ridiculous it's hard to even report it without falling off my chair laughing.
Earth to Billy and Newt, read this carefully. Right now Obama has a 65% job approval at Gallup, and a 63% job approval at FOX, the Dow had the biggest one day gain yesterday in 6 months, it's up to almost 7,800, from the 6,500 it was at 10 days ago. How in the hell do you explain that, how can MOST people be against Obama if his approval numbers are at 65%, explain that idiots.
Billy even told Newt that Obama has a puppetmaster and that he is not actually running the Government, with no evidence to back those claims up, none, it's just pure speculation. Even Newt said that's wrong, and that Obama is a smart guy who is running things and doing exactly what he planned to do. So even the far right Newt Gingrich told O'Reilly that was crazy talk.
It looks like O'Reilly has finally lost his mind, it's insane to claim MOST of the people have turned against Obama when he has a 65% job approval, and that is up from 61% last wednesday. They have not only not turned against him, they approve of the job he is doing more now than they did last week.
Watching that garbage last night, was like watching an episode of the twilight zone, none of it is reality. And if O'Reilly had not jumped the shark yet, he sure did last night. He's officially lost his fricking mind, and it's time for them to pin a note on Billy and send him to the dog track.
Then Billy had Juan Williams and Mary K. Ham on to discuss it, and of course both of those idiots agreed with crazy O'Reilly. Juan said Obama has dropped 14 points with Independents, which is a total 100% lie.
From January 20th to today, Obama has dropped 3 points with Independents, from 62% to 59%, that's 3 points Juan, not 14 you lying idiot. He has dropped 15 points with Republicans, from 41% to 26%, and he went up 3 points with Democrats, from 88% to 91%. And those are the facts, right from the Gallup poll. Now remember this, Juan is billed as the Democrat in that segment, when he lies worse than O'Reilly, if he's a Democrat, I'm A-Rod.
Billy also said the folks are angry with Obama and that is why they have turned against him. Which is more insanity, they are angry at the AIG bonus deal, not Obama. The deal that was done by Bush, not Obama. If they are angry at anyone it's Bush and the AIG bonus deal. Last october Bush did the AIG deal, and his people did not put anything in the bailout contract to block those bonus payments, so Bush did it, not Obama.
And all during that time not one of those idiots mentioned the Gallup poll, because it proves they are lying, spinning, right-wing idiots, who are just spewing out Republican propaganda, in the hopes that someone will believe that garbage. It's all nonsense, and none of it is true.
Then O'Reilly had the body language hocus pocus crap, a segment on how we need troops on the border, again for the 100th time, an attack on Barney Frank with the culture warriors for truthfully saying Scalia is a homophobe, and Billy even cried about the name calling. Which is hilarious, especially when he calls people more names than anyone. Billy complaining about other people calling someone names is like Ashley Simpson complaining about other singers lip syncing.
In the segment with Crowley and Hoover they talked about Barney Frank, and crazy Crowley said the Supreme court is not political, and that they rule on the law. Which is even more insane than O'Reilly saying MOST people have turned against Obama when he has a 65% job approval. The Supreme Court is totally political, and always has been. Almost every vote is 5-4 with the 5 conservative judges voting one way, and the 4 liberal judges voting the other way. To say anything different is pure insanity, and Crowley said it, so she has gone off the deep end.
Then the reality check was called a stunning controversy. By who, O'Reilly. He made a controversy up, about the speech protest for him going to the Alexa foundation event. There was no controversy, except that they let O'Reilly speak, a man who said a woman who was raped deserved it because she was drunk late at 2am wearing a sexy outfit.
Billy claimed the protest against his speech hurt Alexa and her family. When it had nothing to do with her, or her foundation. The whole thing was bogus, and O'Reilly even put the far right nut Wendy Murphy on to agree with him. She said it was terrible, and wondered how anyone could oppose the Alexa foundation.
Earth to Wendy, nobody does, and you are a fricking idiot. Nobody is opposed to the foundation, they were opposed to O'Reilly giving a speech there. Wendy is as stupid and as biased as O'Reilly is, and what little credibility she had is now zero. Both of them should be ashamed of themselves for twisting a protest of O'Reilly speaking to a rape foundation into they oppose the foundation, it's just ridiculous, and totally insane.
The whole show was just a biased lie filled right-wing joke, it was like watching the twilight zone. I have never said this before, but I think it's time for O'Reilly to retire, because he has lost his mind. Everything in the show was all lies and right-wing propaganda, with no facts or evidence to back any of it up.
President Obama Job Approval Ratings
By: Steve - March 23, 2009 - 1:20pm
Here are the true facts about the Obama job approval numbers, not the biased right-wing propaganda garbage you get from O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, Cavuto, and the rest of the idiots at FOX News. For a week or two O'Reilly and all his right-wing friends at FOX have been doing shows almost every day talking about the falling Obama job approval numbers.
Last Tuesday on March 17th O'Reilly said this:
If you watch this program, you know that we do not nitpick Barack Obama. We are not looking to diminish the president. We don't comb the wilderness for gotcha segments. We believe that would be a huge waste of your time.Yeah, we see that you cherry picked the results of one poll put out by a biased Republican, while at the very same time the Gallup poll had Obama at 61% approval, and it went up to 62% approval 3 days later. Billy claims Obama is dropping in the polls, and his source is Scott Rasmussen, one biased Republican pollster who supported John McCain.
On the other hand, we are not in the tank for the president, as so many media operations are. We want to be fair to the man, but our primary obligation is to you — to deliver accurate information and fact-based analysis so you can know what's really going on.
Tuesday, the daily Rasmussen tracking poll, which has been very accurate, says President Obama's job approval rating stands at 56 percent, while 43 percent disapprove. So you can see what has happened.
Rasmussen does an index rating poll, it's not an actual job approval poll, as in a normal poll. Most polls ask for these answers, Excellent, Good, Fair, Poor, or Not Sure. Then you add the excellent and good and that's the job approval number, the fair and poor is the disapproval number. Rasmussen does not do that, he does an index rating poll that asks if you strongly approve, or stongly disapprove, he does not have a "Good" selection to pick from, so his poll will always be lower than all the other polls.
O'Reilly and all his biased friends at FOX use the Rasmussen poll to claim the Obama approval numbers are dropping. And only biased Republicans use that poll, so what does that tell you about O'Reilly, that he is a biased Republican. The rest of America uses the Gallup Daily Tracking Poll, and so did O'Reilly when Bush was president, he even said it's a good poll. Then after Obama got elected he suddenly started using the Rasmussen index rating, because it has Obama lower than other polls.
What O'Reilly is doing is cherry picking a poll with the lowest Obama numbers, then he reports that as a drop, when the Gallup poll actually has the Obama approval ratings going up. Just watch when O'Reilly reports the Rasmussen poll, he ignores the Gallup poll. Because it would ruin his right-wing propaganda lie, he cant report the Obama numbers going down and cite a Gallup poll that shows his approval going up. So he cherry picks the Rasmussen poll to lie about it to the American people.
The FOX News poll even has Obama at 63% approval, and yet O'Reilly ignores that poll too, when he works for them, so he can dishonestly cherry pick the Rasmussen poll numbers that have Obama at 55% job approval. That's how biased he is, he wont even report the numbers from his own network.
And dont just believe me, in fact, I want you to go look for yourself. Just go to gallup.com and look. Last wednesday in the Daily Gallup Tracking Poll Obama was at 61% job approval, Rasmussen had him at 56%, approval. Then last friday Obama went up to 62% in the Gallup poll, but on the same day he went down to 55% in the Rasmussen poll. So Rasmussen did have Obama going down, but at the same time Gallup had him going up.
O'Reilly just ignored the Gallup poll and only cited the Rasmussen poll to fit his argument, that his numbers were dropping. Now today as I type this right now, Gallup has Obama at 65% job approval, so his numbers are still going up, and that is only 3 points from his high in January. All during that time O'Reilly and the biased right-wing idiots at FOX have been saying the Obama job approval ratings have been going down.
That's only if you use the biased Rasmussen index rating, in the Gallup poll his numbers have went up. It shows the bias from O'Reilly, and the idiots at FOX, it shows how he cherry picks polls to fit his agenda, and it shows how he ignores the Gallup poll that he used when Bush was president, because he has to or his right-wing spin and lies would be exposed. Only a biased Republican would pull this crap, and that is exactly what O'Reilly did, because he is a dishonest Republican hack.
Actual Facts About How The Financial Crisis Happened
By: Steve - March 22, 2009 - 3:30pm
Notice that Bill O'Reilly never uses these words when talking about how the financial crisis happened.
The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, also known as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act, enacted November 12, 1999.
That bill is what caused the current financial crisis America is facing today. And not once has O'Reilly mentioned it, or the Names Gramm, Leach, and Bliley. Because they are all Republicans, and Billy wants to make everyone believe Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are to blame for the financial crisis. When it's all a diversion trick to fool the American people into thinking Democrats are just as much to blame as Republicans.
But when you look at the facts you will see that over the last 20 years the Republicans were screaming deregulation, backed by the banking industry lobbyists. I will show you some facts that have never been disclosed on the factor, ever. Because O'Reilly is a Republican and he is covering for the party so they are not hurt even more than they already are.
The 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act allowed commercial and investment banks to consolidate. For example, Citibank merged with Travelers Group, an insurance company, and in 1998 formed the conglomerate Citigroup, a corporation combining banking and insurance underwriting services under brands including Smith-Barney, Shearson, Primerica and Travelers Insurance Corporation.
The bill was introduced in the U.S. Senate by Phil Gramm (R-Texas) and in the U.S. House of Representatives by Jim Leach (R-Iowa). The third lawmaker associated with the bill was Rep. Thomas J. Bliley, Jr. (R-Virginia), Chairman of the House Commerce Committee from 1995 to 2001. On May 6, 1999, the Senate passed the bill by a 54-44 vote along party lines (53 Republicans and one Democrat in favor; 44 Democrats opposed).
Many of the largest banks, brokerages, and insurance companies desired the Act at the time. The justification was that individuals usually put more money into investments when the economy is doing well, but they put most of their money into savings accounts when the economy turns bad. With the new Act, they would be able to do both 'savings' and 'investment' at the same financial institution, which would be able to do well in both good and bad economic times.
Prior to the Act, most financial services companies were already offering both saving and investment opportunities to their customers. On the retail/consumer side, a bank called Norwest which would later merge with Wells Fargo Bank led the charge in offering all types of financial services products in 1986. American Express attempted to own almost every field of financial business. Things culminated in 1998 when Travelers, a financial services company with everything but a retail/commercial bank, bought out Citibank, creating the largest and the most profitable company in the world. The move was technically illegal and provided impetus for the passage of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
President Barack Obama believes that the Act directly helped cause the 2007 subprime mortgage financial crisis. Economists Robert Ekelund and Mark Thornton have also criticized the Act as contributing to the crisis.
Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman has called Senator Phil Gramm "the father of the financial crisis" due to his support for the Act. Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz has also argued that the Act helped to create the crisis.
Time magazine also put out a top 25 people to blame for the financial crisis list, and Phil Gramm was #1, while Chris Dodd and Barney Frank were not even on the list.
Whats funny is Bill O'Reilly never says a word about any of this, he acts like it never happened. In O'Reilly world it's all Barney Frank and Chris Dodd's fault, when neither one of them had anything to do with it. Republicans are the party who deregulated everything, just do a google search and look it up for yourself. O'Reilly ignores all that to try and pull a fast one by covering it up to protect the Republican party.
The current financial crisis we have today is because the Republican party spent the last 20 years deregulating everything, they believed in a free market there should be no regulations, they got most of what they wanted and that put us in the situation we are in today. Democrats were opposed to the deregulation, they tried to fight it but the Republicans had the majority so they got it passed. Bush and his administration were also mostly to blame, Bush took office in 2001 and let them do whatever they wanted for 7 years with no regulations and no enforcement.
So instead of getting the truth from O'Reilly, he blames it all on Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, two guys in the minority who had no power and who did not do anything, they did not deregulate anything, the Republicans in the Senate and the House did. It just shows how partisan and dishonest O'Reilly is, he puts protecting the Republican party ahead of telling the American people the truth.
Ask yourself this, when have you heard O'Reilly mention the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Phil Gramm, or the fact that the Republicans deregulated all the financial markets, answer, NEVER!
More Proof O'Reilly Lies About Media Matters
By: Steve - March 19, 2009 - 11:30am
O'Reilly says that Media Matters is nothing but a left-wing smear group who only report on conservatives in the media. He says it all the time, just last week he called them dishonest far left smear merchants who only go after conservatives.
The problem with that is it's a lie, and the only dishonest person here is Bill O'Reilly. Billy says they never go after any liberal media. Media Matters goes after everyone in the media, and that is a fact. If you go visit their website today on 3-19-09 you will see these headlines.
They go after the LA Times and the USA Today:
USA Today, LA Times continue to omit Bush Treasury's role in AIG bonus controversy
They go after CNN's Dana Bash:
CNN's Bash falsely claims recovery bill language required AIG bonuses "to stay in place"
They go after Time magazine:

And all of that is just from today, they go after the NY Times, the LA Times, CNN two times, MSNBC, ABC, and on and on, all liberals according to O'Reilly. Yet he claims they never go after any liberals, when you can see that is a lie.
The truth is O'Reilly does not like how they report the truth about him, so he tries to smear them and ruin their credibility so nobody will believe what they report. The problem is, you can go read and watch what people say on their website, because they publish the video and the transcript, so their credibility is great.
Unlike O'Reilly, who gets caught telling the lies and putting the spin out, and who has no credibility. Billy wants you to believe him, not your lying eyes and your lying ears. So the one with no credibility is Bill O'Reilly.
And btw, there will not be a review of the Wednesday 3-18-09 O'Reilly Factor. O'Reilly had Laura Ingraham fill-in for him so I did not review her. I only review the show when O'Reilly is there, because he is the liar who denies being a Republican, and claims to be an Independent with a no spin zone.
All I will say is that it tells you all you need to know that O'Reilly would let the far right Laura Ingraham host his show. She is as far right as it gets, yet O'Reilly has no problem letting her host his show, and do an hour of non-stop right-wing propaganda. Notice that you never see any Democrats hosting the Factor when O'Reilly is gone, let alone a far left liberal to equal Ingraham.
It never happens, only Republicans are allowed to fill-in for Billy. At least Ingraham admits she is a Republican, so she is not trying to fool anyone, which is more than I can say for O'Reilly. He is a dishonest liar who cant even admit he is a Republican.
Guess Who Shut O'Reilly & FOX News up?
By: Steve - March 18, 2009 - 4:30pm
Wall Street Did!
A couple weeks ago the stock market was dropping 100 to 300 points a day, for about a week, then right-wing idiots like O'Reilly, Hannity, Cavuto etc. started blaming it on Obama. When it was caused by Bush, and the economic numbers were driving the market down, not Obama. Yet O'Reilly and all the right-wing idiots tried to link it to Obama to make him look bad.
Then a funny thing happened, about a week ago the market started going up 100 to 300 points a day, and it went up for 8 out of 9 days, including a 200 point gain yesterday and a 100 point gain today. Now where are O'Dummy and Cavuto, they are silent as a mouse and have shut their stupid partisan mouths. They called it the Obama Bear Market, and said the market is going down because the street does not trust Obama. And they said this 4 weeks into his presidency, before he had even done anything.
Now the spin has changed to the AIG story, they blame Obama for that too. When all those bailouts were done when Bush was the president, Obama had nothing to do with it. Bush did the AIG bailout in November of 2008, a full 3 months before Obama was even president. Yet O'Reilly and all his right-wing friends blame it on Obama, which is just ridiculous, and nothing but Republican propaganda.
Then Obama says he is going on Leno, and maybe do some fireside chats like other presidents have done. So what does O'Reilly say, he has Karl Rove on and they say that Obama is in danger of being overexposed. Which is also ridiculous, especially when O'Reilly would hammer Bush for not talking to the people enough. Now when Obama says he will do just that, O'Reilly and Rove say he could be overexposed.
It's insanity, Obama is damned if he does, and damned if he dont. When Bush ignored the truth about the economy, O'Reilly said the president has to tell the people the truth. So Obama gets in and he tells the truth about the economy, then O'Reilly hammers him for the doom and gloom talk. So Obama starts talking good about the economy and O'Reilly hammers him for not telling the truth. He cant win, no matter what he does O'Reilly is never happy.
That's why nobody should ever believe anything O'Reilly says, because he has proven to be a right-wing propagandist who smears and lies about Obama and all the liberals in America. No matter what they do O'Reilly is gonna spin it and lie about it to make Obama and liberals look bad, because that's what he does. Bill O'Reilly is a right-wing spin doctor who spins and lies for the Republican party, while at the same time denying he is a Republican, it's called fraud, by a right-wing con man.
The Tuesday 3-17-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 18, 2009 - 11:30am
The TPM was called Obama's Slump. Billy said the bad polling numbers continue for Obama. And he also said how he has been fair to Obama, yeah right, and the sky is red too. He has not been fair, I have caught him lying about Obama 4 or 5 times already. On the earmark lie, and these bogus Rasmussen index rating polls O'Reilly is using.
O'Reilly is a right-wing con man. The Obama poll numbers right now are 61%, go to www.gallup.com and look for yourself. Those numbers are higher than either Bush or Clinton had in Mid-March of their first term. Bush had a 58% job approval in March of 2001, and Clinton had a 53% job approval in March of 1993. The Obama numbers are higher than both of them and O'Reilly calls that a slump, it's bias, and it's ridiculous.
And what O'Reilly refuses to report is that the only reason the Obama numbers have dropped from 65% to 61% is the Republicans have rated him lower, from 41% approval to 27% approval. The numbers have not dropped with Independents or Democrats, only Republicans, but O'Reilly does not tell you that, ever, not once.
Then Billy did a garbage segment about the Dick Cheney interview, Cheney said Obama is making us less safe. Of course O'Reilly agreed with him, because he says the same thing. Here is my question, how do you two right-wing idiots know that, tell me how you can predict the future. The only way we will know is if we are attacked again, until then you know nothing, it's all speculation, something O'Reilly said he never does.
And last night former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel even said the Cheney comments are ridiculous.
HAGEL: That’s ridiculous! It has no merit on fact or by any measurement. I mean come on, this guy hasn’t even been in office two months. The mess that the Bush administration left the Obama administration. I’m a Republican…we got America into two wars, we’ve done great damage to our economy, to our force structure, to our standing in the world. For a Vice President who participated in that, who led in that, to come on and say that this new administration has really put America in danger is just folly.
They are speculating that the Obama national security policies will make us less safe. It's total speculation, hey Billy, what happened to you never speculate and only deal in the facts. Nobody will ever know if Obama is making us less safe until there is another attack on U.S. soil, until that happens it's all speculation. And Dick Cheney has an 18% job approval, so why should anyone listen to anything he says. Only right-wing stooges believe what he says, especially when he is a proven liar.
Then the biased right-wing Karl Rove was put on, and of course he agreed with Cheney and trashed Obama. Because he is a biased partisan, and that's what biased partisans do. Rove even claimed the King interview with Cheney was a tough one, when the whole thing was a giant softball, even O'Reilly disagreed and said it was a softball interview. Which just shows how clueless and how biased Rove is.
They also talked about the Obama poll numbers, but once again neither one of them pointed out that Obama is at 61% approval in the Gallup poll, which is higher than Bush or Clinton in Mid-March. And neither one of them pointed out that the drop is only among Republicans, there is no drop with anyone else.
And btw, when Bush was the president O'Reilly would find the poll that rated him the highest and quote that. Now that Obama is the president he does the exact opposite. O'Reilly finds the poll that has Obama rated the lowest and quotes that. Which is more proof how he is not fair to Obama. Gallup has him at 61%, which is higher than Bush or Clinton, yet O'Reilly claims Obama is in a slump. It's bias, dishonest journalism, and a double standard.
The Gallup poll is the poll everyone uses, so O'Reilly should use that. Even better yet would be to report all the polls, instead of cherry picking just one. That is what an honest journalist would do, or take all the polls and average them, that would also be fair. Instead O'Reilly cherry picks the Rasmussen poll that has Obama rated the lowest and claims he is in a slump, which is just dishonest garbage, especially when Rasmussen is a Republican pollster.
Then Bernie Goldberg was on to talk about what O'Reilly called the Obama charm offensive. They are talking about Obama going on Leno Thursday night, and even these two right-wing loons said it was a good idea. Then Billy cried about ABC News doing a story on Palins boyfriend and the break up, he said it was tabloid reporting, now that's funny. Especially when O'Reilly is the king of tabloid garbage, him crying about tabloid reporting is like Cheech & Chong crying about people smoking pot.
And ABC News did not report it, the morning show did. So he was even lying about that, Charlie Gibson did not report it, the ABC morning talk show did, and that's what they do. In fact, O'Reilly himself even reported it, then he complains that it's tabloid garbage a news show should not be reporting, when he also reported it, pot meet kettle. Talk about an idiot, Billy should get an award for that one, it's just stupid.
Goldberg also hammered ABC News for it, and said they just did it for ratings. When O'Reilly did the exact same thing, and he only did it for ratings too. These two guys are off the charts hypocrites, do they understand how foolish they look. And btw, Goldberg said the word Jackie Mason used to refer to Obama is not offensive, but O'Reilly read the dictionary definition that said it is. Then Goldberg said a liberal must have wrote it, so it dont count, lol.
Then O'Reilly had Kelly and Wiehl on for the is it legal segment. They had 2 segments, they talked about the chimp attack lawsuit, the Dr. Tiller court case, Madoff's wife being investigated, some illegal alien case where the ACLU got involved, and the Kelly/Brittany Spears garbage. Kelly even said the ACLU was right, and Billy just ignored her and acted like she never said it.
Then the totally insane right-wing idiot Glenn Beck was put on. Billy asked Beck how he would fix Afghanistan, ummmm, why? Who cares what Beck would do, he is not a military man, and he has no idea what to do. Only a crazy right-wing fool would ask Beck how to fix it, or care what he said. And btw, Billy said we already won the war on terror, and when a Democrat recently told him we had problems there Billy said we dont, so if that's true why does anything in Afghanistan need fixed.
Beck said Obama should send more than 17,000 troops to Afghanistan, he said maybe 30,000 more. Okay, so if everything is great and we won, why do we need to send any more troops, answer that Billy. Then O'Reilly kissed Beck's ass and talked about how great his ratings are. When nobody cares but him, and only right-wing idiots watch his crazy show.
Then the stupid culture quiz with Doocy and McCallum, the worthless pinheads and patriots crap, and the lame edited and cherry picked ego trip e-mails.
Cavuto Guest Caught Lying About Obama Approval Numbers
By: Steve - March 17, 2009 - 6:30pm
Do these people have any shame, they just go on tv and make shit up and hope someone believes it, do they even know about the internet, and google?
Yesterday Cavuto talked about Obama's falling approval ratings with Tim Phillips of Americans for Prosperty. Phillips told Cavuto that in Gallup and Rasmussen polls, Obama's job approval numbers are below Bush's numbers for this point in March of his first term. When that's a total 100% lie. Here is what Gallup reported on March 16th, as in yesterday.
PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama's job approval rating, at 61% in the latest three-day average of Gallup Poll Daily tracking, is slightly above where George W. Bush's and in particular Bill Clinton's were at this point in mid-March of the first years of their administrations.
Gallup's mid-March approval rating for Bush in 2001 was 58%.Which just goes to show that Cavuto and FOX News are nothing but dishonest partisan liars, who can never be trusted to tell you the truth. And the Obama approval numbers have only dropped among Republicans, not with Independents or Democrats, which is another thing you never hear mentioned on FOX.
Gallup's March 14, 1993, approval rating for Clinton was 53%.
Both of these ratings are lower than Obama's current 61%.
They are obsessed with making people think Obama's job approval numbers are bad and dropping, so obsessed they will lie about it and hope nobody notices. Hey Cavuto, we noticed. And btw, O'Reilly will also talk about the falling Obama job approval numbers tonight, any bets he does the same thing Cavuto did, put a dishonest right-winger on to lie about the numbers.
The Monday 3-16-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 17, 2009 - 8:50am
The TPM was called Follow The Money. Billy talked about the new AIG scandal, he said Obama is doing the right thing and standing up for the folks by trying to stop that bonus money payout. Then he cried about Obama giving $500 million dollars to Detroit schools, Billy said money wont solve the problem. So basically he is opposed to giving schools money, which is sort of ridiculous. He said Obama is not standing up for the folks on that one, which makes no sense, but that's how it works in O'Reilly world.
Billy said the only way he would support it is if the Feds took over and they gave the money out a little at a time. Here is my question, who does Bill O'Reilly think he is. He's not a Senator, or a Congressman, or a Governor, or anything. He's just a stupid right-wing cable tv host, so who gives a damn what he wants. Billy acts like he has some kind of power to tell Obama and the people of Detroit what to do, when he is a nobody with no power to demand anything.
Then he had Juan Williams and Mary K. Ham on. Juan said O'Reilly is exactly right about AIG, of course he is, nobody thinks those crooked bastards should get a bonus. Mary K. Ham agreed with both of them and they moved on to the Detroit schools. And Juan agreed with O'Reilly again, proving once again he is no Democrat. And of course Ham agreed with O'Reilly, that's her job, and how she stays on the show. Here is my question, with a $13 Trillion dollar economy crashing why is O'Reilly wasting tv time talking about a petty $500 million dollars that would go to schools in Detroit.
Then the culture warrior garbage with Margaret Hoover and Tammy Bruce filling in for Monica Crowley. So even when a Republican culture warrior cant make it Billy replaces her with another idiot Republican. And Bruce is a total idiot, she's like an Ann Coulter wannabe. They wasted 4 minutes of tv time talking about Meghan McCain and Rihanna. Ingraham made a personal insult about McCain's weight, which O'Reilly normally hammers people for, but since Ingraham did it, she is a regular on his show, and a fill-in host sometimes, O'Reilly did not hammer her for it.
Next O'Reilly talked about a racial comment Jackie Mason said about Obama, he is a Republican, and Jewish. Billy had some crazy Republican woman on from FOX, Angela McGlowan. She defended Jackie Mason and pointed out he is a comedian and he has free speech. And I agree with her 100 percent. The problem is the hypocrisy from O'Reilly. When Bill Maher or Leno or Conan made jokes about Bush O'Reilly got mad and attacked them. When they are comedians who get paid to make jokes, and that is their job.
It's a double standard by O'Reilly and FOX News. Earth to O'Reilly and all the right-wing idiots. When a comedian makes a joke it's ok, because they get paid to make jokes. When people in the news business do it then it's not ok, because you are not comedians and you do not get paid to make jokes, and you are also not very good at it. So stop hammering these comedians for anything, they have free speech, and the same goes for the Hollywood Celebs. Nobody cares what they say anyway, so stop reporting on it, you are wasting our time with this garbage.
Then a military soldier story, a Capt. Hill got a general discharge for firing his weapon near a detainee. He was on the show with his attorney trying to get an honorable discharge. I say give it to him, and I agree with O'Reilly on this one, but only if that is the whole story. O'Reilly has been known to spin things and only give one side of the story, so if it's true like he said it is, I support Capt. Hill getting his honorable discharge.
Then Miller time, Miller spent the first minute making fun of how crazy Glenn Beck is, and O'Reilly said yeah he's nuts, but he gets good ratings so he is great. Only on FOX would they give a right-wing nut his own show and it get great ratings from the right-wing nuts who watch him. I do not watch Beck very much, but I have seen a little of it, and it's pathetic. He is a nut, and his show is total right-wing propaganda garbage. And only a right-wing fool would watch that insanity.
Miller was also upset that Obama got rid of the words enemy combatant, he cried like the little right-wing jerkoff he is. Who gives a damn what you call them, I do not care what they are called, it's just words. And only right-wing idiots care about it, I sure as hell dont, and I dont know anyone else who does either. Billy and Miller made fun of it, then claimed Obama is treating the terrorists with kid gloves, and he is gonna tickle them for information, which is just insane. They just want to make Obama look bad, so they smear him with lies. He is almost as tough as Bush, liberals are even mad at him for it.
They made fun of the NY Times story about the Red Cross report that shows Bush used torture. Billy sent the link to Miller and he said he did not read it because he refuses to read anything in the NY Times. Then he trashed the story, when he never read it, if a Democrat does that Billy cuts them off and hammers them, when Miller does it he says nothing. Miller said he read the story in the Washington Post, ok, but that still dont explain how you trash the NY Times story when you never read it. And neither one of them argued that the story is not true, yet they trashed it anyway.
They also talked about the Stewart v Cramer war, and Miller defended Stewart. He said it was not political, which O'Reilly has been saying it was, and Billy even repeated the lie that Stewart only went after Cramer after he hammered Obama's economic policies, which is a total lie. As reported here Jon Stewart first went after Cramer in July of 2008, a full 7 months before Obama was even elected. At the end of the segment Billy said he is buying Miller a dinner, Miller said bring the bodyguards. Yeah because O'Reilly is a fake tough guy who has to have bodyguards with him 24/7.
Then the stupid no reality Reality Check segment. This thing is terrible, and it gets worse every week, half of it is garbage with no check, and the other half is just stupid crap reported about stuff on Japan tv shows. It's like O'Reilly just mails it in, and sits down to write it in 5 minutes. Why even do it if your not gonna do it right. The checks were a US Air lawsuit, Kelly on Brittney Spears, female Japan robot crap, Hugh Jackman on a Japan tv show getting kicked in the nuts, a narcotic mushroom internet video, a high squirrel video, and some crap about a london times writer calling Billy a right-wing idiot.
1) He's right, and 2) who cares what some moron in England writes, I sure as hell dont. The rest of the reality checks were garbage, and most of them had no check, what is the reality check on a guy filming himself stoned on mushrooms, what is the reality check on a high squirrel, what is the reality check on showing a female robot from Japan, none of them had a reality check. It's just tabloid crap reported as a reality check, it makes no sense, it's a waste of tv time, and it's just stupid. And that was the end of another great O'Reilly Factor.
O'Reilly Wins First Ever Worst Person of The Week
By: Steve - March 16, 2009 - 6:20pm
On the Friday 3-13-09 Countdown with Keith Olbermann, he named O'Reilly the first ever worst person in the world for the week.
OLBERMANN: And after digesting all the nominees in one place, I think you have to go back to the beginning of that piece of tape we just showed you. Let me play the sound bite once again.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
O‘REILLY: Look, by all accounts the Bush administration defeated Al Qaeda, all right. Al Qaeda was marginalized, has been downgraded as a threat to the world. So we won the terror war.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
OLBERMANN: I know you are looking at the guy over at the side there in the bow tie doing this. But let me read the O‘Reilly quote again and let is sink in.
“Look, by all accounts the Bush administration defeated Al Qaeda, all right. Al Qaeda was marginalized, has been downgraded as a threat to the world. So we won the terror war.”
I don‘t think he understands that the war on terror, as misleading as that term is, began in a place called Afghanistan. Say what you want about Iraq, whether we are winning, have won, or will win. Afghanistan, the place where the war on terror began, is nowhere near decided.
You can ask the 17,000 additional U.S. troops about to deploy there, or the U.S. and Nato commander who said this week that there are large parts of Afghanistan that our allied forces are not winning in.
It takes a willful suspension of logic to think it‘s all over, let along to state that by all accounts the Bush administration defeated Al Qaeda when its leader, the man who ordered the hit on the 3,000 people in New York and the Pentagon, remained untouched by the Bush administration for the seven years, four months, and eight days after the attacks.
Forget “By all accounts, the Bush administration defeated Al Qaeda.”
You mean, by one account. And it‘s only yours.
Thus is it now my honor to name Bill O‘Reilly, who has singularly declared mission accomplished in the war on terror, as the inaugural worst person in the world of the week!
It‘s going to be tough to say every Friday.
The Friday 3-13-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 14, 2009 - 12:20pm
Billy started the show crying like the little bitch he is, about some guy in the Tampa Tribune, Edward Schumacher-Matos. He called Billy and Lou Dobbs nativists for all their illegal immigrant garbage. They guy was on the Factor as a guest, but I am not going to report on it because it's just another ego trip for O'Reilly to confront anyone who ever mentions his name, or dares to tell the truth about him. All I will say is good job Edward.
Then O'Reilly did a segment on the Anna Nicole Smith drug charges. And the Florida couple under suspicion in the disappearance of 5-year old Haleigh Cummings. Which is more tabloid garbage that Greta, Grace, Geraldo, etc. should be reporting, not O'Reilly. There are plenty of tabloid shows on the air that report that garbage all day long, so O'Reilly should leave it to them and report some real news for a change.
Speaking of Geraldo, Billy then had Geraldo on to discuss it. Then Billy did more on the Stewart/Cramer story, probably because it's a hot topic and it gets good ratings. He had Dagen McDowell and Tracy Byrnes from FOX News on to discuss it. Billy contined to spin the story that Stewart only attacked Cramer after he went after Obama, so it was done for political reasons. Except that's a lie, Stewart went after Cramer in July of 2008, which is 7 months before Obama was even elected.
O'Reilly lies one night, then lies again the very next night, even when he knows it's a lie, he just keeps the lie going. Earth to O'Jackass, it's a lie, Stewart went after Cramer in July of 2008, so that ruins your right-wing spin story. And anyone reading this blog knows the truth, and they also know you are lying. Even the two FOX News stooges would not agree with O'Reilly, they are not buying the it's a political attack spin from Billy.
O'REILLY: All right, so both of you are okay with Stewart then? You're both big Stewart fans? You glad he beat him up last night? Then Billy had the far right Karl Rove on to spin out some giant conspiracy story about how Obama and all the liberals in America, have meetings every day to decide how to get revenge on anyone who dares to say anything bad about them. Billy said a vast left wing conspiracy is actively underway. And he will have Karl Rove on to give an objective report on it, haha, now that's funny.
MCDOWELL: You know what, he's not.
O'REILLY: Are you glad Stewart beat him up last night?
MCDOWELL: It was awfully funny.
BYRNES: They had.
O'REILLY: Are you glad?
BYRNES: People have to be accountable.
O'REILLY: Okay, so you're both happy?
MCDOWELL: You know what?
O'REILLY: All right.
It's the same thing every presidential administration does, Bush did it, Clinton did it, Reagan did it, they all do it. The only difference is when Bush and Reagan did it and Hillary Clinton said there is a vast right-wing conspiracy (that is out to get them) Billy and his right-wing friends said it was ridiculous, and there was no vast right-wing conspiracy. Now suddenly the Obama administration does exactly what Bush and Reagan did and there is a vast left wing conspiracy underway, lol.
Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly. Thank you for watching us tonight. The vast left wing conspiracy fires up and that is the subject of this evening's "Talking Points Memo."Which is exactly what George W. Bush did, what Bush Sr. did, what Bill Clinton did, and what every president does. They only do it to counter the right-wing spin idiots like O'Reilly, Hannity, Rove, etc. put out. Billy called it an intimidation cabal and said it was hate. What a jackass, it's counter spin to make sure right-wing jerks like you dont fool the people with your propaganda, that's not hate, it's informing the people with the truth. And of course no Democrat was put on to provide any balance, or give the counterpoint. Just Karl and Billy spewing right-wing spin non-stop.
Now we learn that a vast left-wing conspiracy is firing up to help the president. According to excellent reporting by politico.com, organized hard left zealots join together in a daily morning conference call to discuss the day's events, coordinate briefings to the liberal media, and design punishment for anyone criticizing President Obama or left wing doctrine in general.
Then the crazy Glenn Beck was on to cry about the left attacking him because according to Billy it's because his show is getting good ratings. Which is insane, and totally ridiculous. The left could care less what ratings Beck or O'Reilly get, we dont care, not at all. What the left attacks you for is your bias, your spin, your lies, your hypocrisy, and your double standards. If you two morons had 5 viewers, the left would still attack you, because you are partisan right-wing spin doctors, it has nothing to do with ratings.
Nobody cares about your ratings but you, I dont care if you have 4 million viewers a night or 4, it's meaningless, and has nothing to do with why I report on you. I report on you because you are a spinning, lying, biased right-wing fraud of a hack journalist, who claims to be an Independent with a no spin zone. It has nothing to do with your ratings you dumb ass, and if your ratings dropped to zero tomorrow I would still report on your spin and lies every day.
Billy and Beck cried about the left going after him, and continued the Pelosi airplane story, even though it's been debunked as nothing but right-wing garbage from the conservative Judicial Watch. Yet O'Reilly and Beck keep spinning the story out as if it's true, when it's not. Which just shows once again how biased and dishonest they are.
Beck also spewed out some garbage about how political correctness is causing people to go crazy and kill everyone. Which is crazy, and Beck should be in a padded room under adult supervision, not on tv hosting his own show. Beck even thinks it's time for a new civil war, why? Because Obama is turning the country into China, so he has called on the wingnuts with guns in America to join the revolution and overthrow the Government, that's how crazy he is. Only the far right FOX News would hire this nut, he is rubber room crazy, and so is anyone who puts him on their show, Billy?
The rest of the show was total garbage, the TV Icon crap, the pinheads and patriots crap, and the ego driven highly edited hand picked e-mail segment. Where Billy thanks everyone who e-mails him good comments, and tells everyone they are wrong if they disagree with him. Then he pimps his insane right-wing book, and the lame factor gear that only a 75 year old right-wing nut would even be caught dead with.
Notice What O'Reilly & FOX News Are Not Reporting!
By: Steve - March 14, 2009 - 11:20am
A couple weeks ago the stock market was dropping 100 to 300 points a day, O'Reilly and all the right-wing idiots at FOX were calling it the Obama Bear Market, and blaming him for the stock market drop. Which is ridiculous, since Obama has only been president for 6 weeks, and the stock market is dropping because Bush ruined the economy, not Obama.
The stock market dropped from 14,000, to 8,000 while Bush was still in office. Then it goes down another 1,000 points under Obama and these right-wing idiots blame it on him, after 6 weeks, and before his policies have even been put in place.
This is not only unfair, it's wrong. It would have happened no matter who was president, because the more bad economic news you get, the more the market drops. Even if McCain had won, the market would still drop when you get all this bad economic news.
O'Reilly and all the right-wing fools like Hannity and Limbaugh just want to smear Obama to try and get his job approval numbers down, for political reasons. Because if his approval numbers stay in the 60's by the 2010 mid-term elections the Republicans are going to lose more seats in the House and the Senate.
Listen to me people, O'Reilly and the Republicans do not give a damn about fixing the economy. They only care about protecting the few seats they have left in the House and the Senate. And O'Reilly is doing everything he can to help the Republicans smear Obama, Pelosi, and all the Democrats in Congress.
He has cranked up the liberal smear machine to full speed. Every night he lies and smears Obama, Pelosi, Conyers, Leahy, etc. etc. etc. The Factor has turned into half tabloid garbage, half right-wing propaganda smear machine. And dont just believe me, watch the show and see it for yourself.
Every night 99% of the show is Republican guests like Rove, Morris, Cavuto, Varney, Gingrich, Ingraham, Coulter, Miller, Ham, Carpenter, Crowley, Hoover, Kelly, Wiehl, Goldberg, and on and on. With a Democrat on the show maybe 2 or 3 times a week. I count 25 to 30 Republicans on every week, and 2 to 3 Democrats.
And not one of them (including O'Reilly) has ever given credit to the 700 point gain on the Dow last week to Obama. But when the Dow drops 300 to 500 points in a week they blame it on Obama. Which is massive hypocrisy. If you blame him when it drops, then you must give him credit when it goes up, but they dont, especially O'Reilly.
When the Dow dropped 100 to 300 points a day for a week, O'Reilly said it's all Obama's fault because the street does not trust him. Then the Dow went up 700 points the very next week and O'Reilly was silent as a mouse. He never said a word, no credit for Obama. And if the street does not trust him, how did the Dow go up 700 points over a 4 day period. Explain that O'Reilly you piece of crap.
The fact that O'Reilly said nothing is proof he is a biased right-wing fraud. Because he only blames Obama for what happens in the market when it goes down, not when it goes up. When, if he is to blame for when it goes down, he is also to blame when it goes up, yet O'Reilly and his right-wing friends never give him credit when it goes up.
And the most ridiculous part is that the president does not control the stock market, at least that is what O'Reilly and the Republicans said when Bush was president. Now suddenly the president does control the stock market, at least they say he is, which is just a lie put out by right-wing spin doctors.
And one last thing you should notice, ONLY Republicans blamed Obama when the Dow went down two weeks ago. That alone should tell you something. It tells you the whole thing was political spin, put out by ONLY Republicans, like O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, Ingraham, etc. Yet O'Reilly denies he is a Republican, when he does everything Hannity does, who is an admitted die-hard Republican.
The only difference between Hannity and O'Reilly is that O'Reilly is older. And although I have no respect for Hannity, at least he is honest enough to admit he is a conservative Republican. O'Reilly is just a lying fraud of a right-wing con man who will not even admit he is a far right conservative.
And just because the Dow went up 700 points last week it does not mean the economy has been fixed, or that it might not go back down again, because it probably will. It just shows how dishonest people like O'Reilly are, because they blame Obama when the market goes down, while refusing to give him credit when it goes up. It's bias, hypocrisy, and a double standard, and only Republicans are doing it, so you know it's partisan politics at it's worst.
Olbermann Slams O'Reilly For The Biased Pelosi Smears
By: Steve - March 13, 2009 - 6:00pm
Billo leads the smear-mongers on Speaker Pelosi‘s use of military aircraft, which is actually less than Speaker Hastert‘s use of military aircraft.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
O‘REILLY: And we‘re throwing money out the window and bankrupting a nation. And this woman is whipping around the world. I think she owes us an explanation, am I wrong?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
OLBERMANN: At this point, you still have to ask you pathetic liar!
OLBERMANN: Smearing Nancy Pelosi. The right says the speaker made unprecedented demands for military aircraft access. The only thing unprecedented seems to be the degree to which the right keeps lying about the allegations in the face of the facts.
The conservative group Judicial Watch had its big expose on Nancy Pelosi, in which the only thing exposed was the speaker‘s guiltlessness. They have obtained emails from Pelosi‘s staff and Pentagon staff concerning Pelosi‘s use of military aircraft. Judicial Watch concluding, quote, “these documents show that Speaker Pelosi treats the Air Force like her personal airline, with unreasonable requests for military travel, unconcerned about wasting taxpayer money, with last minute cancellations.”
Except the actual documents show no such thing. ABC News reporting that Pelosi uses military transport less than once a month, wherein her Republican predecessor Denny Hastert was an almost weekly frequent flyer. Last-minute cancellations? Yes, when she first became speaker, before the Air Force told her she had priority, so she could stop reserving flights she might not need.
Unreasonable requests? Maybe, except that most of those requests were for other members of Congress, because her office coordinates their military travel too. Not a single Pelosi trip was for personal reasons. A Pentagon spokesperson yesterday said no one there found Pelosi‘s aircraft use excessive. In fact, no less that Bush Press Secretary Tony Snow, the late Tony Snow, when the right first pushed this non-scandal, defended Pelosi‘s plane use.
No surprise, considering it was first ordered by his boss, perhaps the most infamous gratuitous user of military aircraft for political purposes ever. Let‘s turn now to MSNBC political analyst Lawrence O‘Donnell.
I started this segment talking about how sometimes a story doesn‘t germinate the way you expect it to or maybe even the way you might want it to. Does that sound like what happened here? The far right got all worked up about Pelosi getting military flights. Judicial Watch filed these Freedom of Information requests, and then ignored the fact that the results completely refuted the narrative they were trying to sell?
O‘DONNELL: Well, you know, Keith, when you go through all of that work of doing a Freedom of Information Act request, you build up a little momentum in a certain direction. And they just couldn‘t turn themselves around when they got these e-mails that showed absolutely nothing. But Judicial Watch really jumped the shark with this story.
They do on their website allow you to link to the evidence that they use. When you link to that evidence, as I did today, and sat there delighting in these e-mails between the Speaker‘s Office and the military on these planes, you keep trying to find anything that they could possibly base the story on. There is absolutely nothing there.
You know, President Bush, I think wisely, after 9/11, when they saw on that day that the vice president had to be rushed out of his office in the White House because they believed the White House was under attack—once we started living in a world where the White House could be under attack in something other than a bad movie, it became wise to think about succession. If you were to somehow lose the president and the vice president, the speaker of the House becomes president.
With that in mind, President Bush said the speaker should have military aircraft for travel the same way we do, the same way the first two do, president, the vice president. The third one there in line should have it, too. That is where this comes from. It‘s an invention of President Bush‘s and probably a wise one.
OLBERMANN: The invention of this story though, and the attempt to make Nancy Pelosi look bad for some reason, which seems most operative in that? Is it that bass-ackwards narrative that the Republicans are the grown ups when it comes to the military, and everyone else are just kids out there?
O‘DONNELL: It seems they are trying to create the image of diva, that she is demanding this extraordinary kind of limo or something, in an unnecessary way, and in an unnecessary situation. Of course, this wasn‘t her idea to use military transport this way. But it is a good idea. She uses it wisely when you examine these records. There‘s just nothing there.
What is in the records, as you have said, is plenty of notations of senators, Republican senators, Democratic senators, and Congressmen requesting these planes. Some of them, by the way, canceling at the last minute, deciding they are going to cancel the use of those things.
But Judicial Watch tries to find something wrong in all of this and lay it entirely at Nancy Pelosi‘s feet, when you can‘t find anything wrong in these documents that anyone is doing in the Congress with these planes.
The Thursday 3-12-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 13, 2009 - 2:00pm
The TPM was called Bernard Madoff, Master of Betrayal. Billy hammered Bernie Madoff for ripping people off, and asked how his wife can claim she made that $70 million dollars they have now. Estimates are that Madoff stole about $65 billion, and just $1 billion of that has been located.
Then Billy had Leslie Crocker Snyder and Megyn Kelly on to discuss it. They all basically agreed that he is scum and that his wife will have to give that money back so it can go to the victims of his scam.
Then Dick Morris was on to continue the lie about the Pelosi airplane. Billy said the the problem for him is that her office doesn't seem to know how many trips she took and exactly where she went. Yes they do you moron, they just will not tell you. They told ABC news and you know it. Yet you continue this lie to smear Pelosi when you know it's all garbage.
Billy asked Morris if there would be blowback against president Obama, huh? For what? It's a non-story that has been debunked by ABC news, so how can there be any blowback on anyone, let alone Obama. For anyone reading this, do a google search on "Pelosi Travel Abuse? Case Not Proved" and read the article, then you will have the facts and the truth, not this right-wing propaganda O'Reilly and Morris are putting out.
What's sad is last night O'Reilly said he has no problem with her using the military plane, then he reports on it two nights in a row and continues to lie about it. He said once again that he has no problem with her using the plane, and that what makes him mad is they wont tell him how many times she used it.
Earth to Idiot, Pelosi does not have to tell a fake journalist on a biased news network anything. If you want to know just read the ABC news article, she told them, because they are real journalists. The rest of the segment was just Morris lying and spinning about Obama, the usual garbage. Morris said Obama does not care about fixing the markets or the economy, my God is he an idiot, and why does anyone listen to this moron.
MORRIS: And when you come to the reality, the real conclusion, it is terrifying, that we're dealing with a president who I believe does not care what happens to the markets and only a little bit cares what happens to the economy.
Then Billy put the right-wing nut John Stossel on to cry about Government spending. He is just another right-wing idiot that Billy loves because he agrees with him. The whole segment was ridiculous, to even argue against Government spening right now proves you are stupid. The Government has to spend money to pull us out of this recession, then once we get out we can cut spending when the economy is going good. Yet these two morons continue to cry about spending, shut up already.
Then Greta was on to discuss Bristol Palin, the Father of her child is not going to marry her. It's tabloid crap, and I could care less. The only story here is how Sarah Palin made it look like the guy was going to marry her while she was running for Vice President. Other than that, it's a worthless story that nobody cares about.
Then Megyn Kelly was put on to talk about the Ward Churchill lawsuit. He claims that all the right-wing idiots on tv and radio like O'Reilly, Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh got him fired, and he is right. But of course O'Reilly denied he is a conservative, even though he was listed with Hannity and Limbaugh as one of the conservatives who got him fired. Then they talked about some stupid story about women beating men up, and the Rihanna Brown story.
Then the no reality Reality Check segment. Of course O'Reilly cherry picked a partial quote from the Matthews/Fleischer interview, and claimed Matthews was wrong, and Fleischer was right. When he had it backwards, and the shameful one is O'Reilly and Fleischer. Check two was Jimmy Kimmel dressing up as Rosie when he was on the view, ummmm, who cares?
Check three was more smearing of GE, and it's just personal revenge garbage. Check four was Freddy Mac lost money, wow, what a shocker, not. Billy just used that as an excuse to hammer Barney Frank again. Then he said this, which is totally ridiculous.
O'REILLY: Oh, really? Not rubbing it in. Just reminding the congressman and the nation that, when we make mistakes, we should own up to them.
Now that's funny, in the 12 years the Factor has been on O'Reilly has never owned up to one mistake, not one, ever, it just dont happen. He even admitted in the 12 years he has been on the air he has never done a retraction. Yeah, because you refuse to ever admit you are wrong, or that you ever made any mistakes, just like Bush did when he was asked what mistakes he has made, and he could not think of any.
Check five was Meghan McCain on Fox & Friends saying she has never refused to go on the Factor, and did not even know O'Reilly wanted to have her on. Check six was the Iraqi guy who got 3 years for throwing the shoes at Bush, where was the check, it was just reported with no check.
Then pinheads and patriots and the lame e-mails, and another ridiculous O'Reilly Factor was over. It was all right-wing propaganda with no Democrat guests. In O'Reilly world that's a great fair and balanced show that he is proud of. In my world, it's total one sided biased right-wing garbage that nobody should be proud of.
The FOX Business Shows Also Got it All Wrong
By: Steve - March 13, 2009 - 10:00am
It was not only Jim Cramer and the fools at CNBC who got it wrong in 2007 and 2008. In July of 2007 the Dow hit 14,000, Neil Cavuto did a show about it and gave the credit for it to George W. Bush. In fact, so did two other guests, Patricia Powell and Charles Payne.
From the July 2007 Neil Cavuto Cost of Freedom business show on FOX:
Neil Cavuto: We have seen the Dow at 14,000 and reports are showing that the economy is not too hot, not too cold, so we’re told, just right!Payne also predicted the Dow would hit 15,700 by the end of 2007, and 17 to 18, in the next three years, 07, 08, 09.
Neil Cavuto: Tracy, that means a rally that keeps going.
Neil Cavuto: Charles on the notion that the markets are either dismissing problems like that, or just going on because they see something else?
Charles Payne: I think that this is the Bush rally! Here’s the key. The markets around the world have exploded since March, 2003, when the war began. It’s not about the war winding down. It’s about peace and prosperity around the world. We’re fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan and we’re keeping terrorists at bay, which creates a certain calm that allows the rest of the world to enjoy comfort and security.
The adoption of American style capitalism is one of the keys to this thing. If anyone’s going to take a bow, I think President Bush has to take a bow—not just for the U.S. economy and the stock market, but for the global economy.
Neil Cavuto: Well, I don’t see Bush getting much credit. Patricia?
Patricia Powell: I don’t see him getting much credit either. And I think that’s really a shame because we’ve had a very business-friendly administration that has really helped both the economy and the rally. When you let free markets decide your economic issues, you get the most efficient possible solutions.
Neil Cavuto: What are you saying? Where does it go?Another moron (Rich Karlgaard) on FOX predicted the Dow would go to 18,000, and Forbes agreed with him. David Asman had a segment on a FOX business show called - Dow 18,000?
Charles Payne: I think it’ll go for another three years.
Neil Cavuto: Alright, but to what levels?
Charles Payne: Well, this year I said 15,700, but I think over three years, 17 or 18 thousand.
David Asman: Well, forget 14,000. Get ready for Dow 18,000, which is what Rich Karlgaard is predicting.Wow, Steve Forbes is the biggest idiot of any of them, he is just stupid. And those trancripts are a great example of why you should never take stock advice from anyone at FOX News, they are never right. A year and a half ago they all said the Dow was going to 16,000 or maybe even 18,000, and that the economy is great, and the sub-prime housing crisis is nothing to worry about.
Rich Karlgaard: There are four reasons: 1) greatest global boom ever; 2) the world is awash in liquidity; 3) the Dow 30 stocks are all great multi-national players that are all benefiting from the global boom; and 4) treasury Yields are so poor that nobody wants to go into those and so they go into stocks.
Steve Forbes: Rich is right. After November of 2008 when Giuliani, who I’m backing, wins the election in 2008 and when people realize that there will be tax cuts, tax simplifications, we’re going to get the Fed in line. Then in a couple of days the market will go up 4,000 points!
All this happened while liberal economists like Paul Krugman were warning of the housing bubble about to burst, writing articles about it, and winning the Nobel prize for Economics for it, he got it right. Cavuto, Cramer, Asman, FOX and CNBC all got it wrong. Yet O'Reilly trashes Krugman almost nightly, when he was right, and the right-wing idiots at FOX and CNBC were wrong.
THEY WERE WRONG ABOUT ALL OF IT, ALL OF THEM, except Paul Krugman.
The Dow is 7,200 today, and the entire financial sector is crashing. The sub-prime home loan crisis is crashing the entire economy, and these morons said it was a blip on the radar, and predicted 18,000 for the Dow.
O'Reilly Caught Lying About Jon Stewart
By: Steve - March 13, 2009 - 9:00am
Wednesday night O'Reilly did a segment on the Stewart v Cramer feud with Stuart Varney from FOX News. Both of them argued that Jon Stewert only went after Cramer because he made some negative comments about the Obama economic policies. O'Reilly said Jon Stewart is a big time Obama supporter so he trashed Cramer to get revenge on him for saying bad things about Obama.
But the facts tell a whole different story, the facts O'Reilly and Varney ignored. And that is what happens when two right-wing idiots from FOX News get together to talk about something a liberal says or does. They lie about it to smear the liberal and make him look bad. Not to mention, Jon Stewart is a comedian, he does a comedy show. He is not a journalist, so the entire segment was ridiculous in the first place.
Jon Stewart first criticized Jim Cramer in March of 2008 (a full 7 months before Obama was even elected president) over Cramer's claim that Bear Stearns was "not in trouble" less than a week before the company collapsed.
O'Reilly only did the segment because he hates Jon Stewart, and because he is a smart liberal who uses his comedy show to show what spinning lying hypocrites people in the media like O'Reilly are. So he brought his right-wing pal Stuart Varney on to help him trash and smear Jon Stewart. And they could not even get that right, that's how stupid they are.
The whole premise of the O'Reilly waste of tv time segment was to make Stewart look like a partisan suck up to Obama. So they implied Cramer was only attacked by Stewart because he is this big Obama supporter. And if you say anything bad about Obama Stewart will go after you.
All that is great, except as usual O'Reilly did not do his homework, and he was wrong. Because Stewart had attacked Cramer long before Obama was even elected.
During the March 17, 2008, segment, titled "Broken Arrow: Crisis in the Chartland," Stewart criticized Cramer after airing a clip of CNBC's Mad Money, during which Cramer said:
"Bear Stearns is fine. Do not take your money out. This is -- look, if there's one takeaway other than a plus 400 [inaudible] -- Bear Stearns is not in trouble. I mean, if anything, they are more likely to be taken over. Don't move your money from Bear. That's just being silly. Don't be silly."
After airing Cramer's comments, Stewart said:
"I love the way that Jim Cramer breaks down really complex financial issues into ones that are wrong. By the way, you may want to join Jim Cramer on his new show, No Matter How Good I Am At This Over The Next 10 Years, I Will Never Make Up The Amount Of Money I Blew For People Last Tuesday. Don't take your money out of Bear Stearns, it's only going to be worthless."
Here is what O'Reilly said wednesday night:
Directly ahead: After NBC financial guy Jim Cramer hammered President Obama, Jon Stewart -- an Obama supporter -- went after Cramer. Now the game is on. Right back with it.What's really funny is when O'Reilly acts like CNBC was the only network to get it wrong on the stock market. Cavuto and all the right-wing idiots on the FOX business shows also got it wrong, just like Cramer did. But O'Reilly never says a word about them because they work for FOX. I could show you transcripts from all the FOX business shows in 2007 where they all said the DOW was going to 16,000 to 18,000 in 2008, and how you should not worry about a housing bubble about to burst, instead it dropped from 13,000 to 8,000 by November of 2008.
"Personal Story" segment tonight: It's getting very personal between comedian Jon Stewart and NBC financial analyst Jim Cramer. As you may know, Mr. Cramer has had a rough year, making bad stock calls on companies that collapsed, like Bear Stearns. So, when Mr. Cramer began criticizing Barack Obama, Mr. Stewart -- an ardent Obama supporter -- let Cramer have it.
Wow. Now out of this trivial pursuit comes a serious question: Why would anybody take advice from a television stock picker? With us now, Fox News business correspondent Stuart Varney. So here we have the melding of politics -- because if Cramer didn't attack Obama, Stewart would not be on his case -- and what I feel is a shaky industry -- television and radio stock pickers.
Cavuto and his FOX business show friends even told people that warned of the housing bubble how stupid they were, and how wrong they were. Then they said listen to us, we know what were talking about. When they were wrong, and just as wrong as Cramer. But O'Reilly never said a word about them, ever. Cavuto and his friends were even more to blame because they had higher ratings than Cramer, so more people got bad stock advice from them then they did from Cramer. Yet O'Reilly never once told people not to listen to the tv stock pickers on FOX.
Here is my question, why would anyone listen to O'Reilly, when is he constantly proven to be a partisan lying spin doctor for the Republican party, who gets the facts wrong virtually every night. The whole segment was garbage, and full of lies.
And Jon Stewart is a comedian with a comedy show on the Comedy Network, not a journalist, so he can pretty much do whatever he wants, because he is not subject to the rules of ethics in journalism. Unlike O'Reilly who claims to be a journalist, and is subject to the rules of ethics in journalism.
O'Reilly only did the segment to make Stewart look bad, but it backfired. Because he was wrong. And all it did was confirm that O'Reilly does not do his homework, and he did not have the facts. It was a petty and worthless personal revenge segment, and it backfired on his dumb right-wing ass.
Special: Keith-O Puts The Smackdown on Bill-O
By: Steve - March 12, 2009 - 3:30pm
From the Wednesday 3-11-09 Countdown With Keith Olbermann, enjoy:
OLBERMANN: Ah, back to the trenches. We have not done this in a while, taken one of Bill-O the Clown‘s rants and translated back into human to show you the fresh piece of steaming hogwash that it is.
But in our third story on the COUNTDOWN, pull up a chair and spend part of your evening with us as Bill-O tries to tackle the cover of fricking “Newsweek,” but manages only to fall down a very long, painful flight of stairs.
O'REILLY: “The Limbaugh/Obama controversy is thankfully just about over. But the far-left smear machine that propelled it to our attention is just getting started.”
The far left smear machine propelled it to your attention? You didn‘t hear Limbaugh start it by saying he wanted Obama to fail? Bill, you don‘t listen to Limbaugh? You know what they will do when they find that out?
O'REILLY: “At the top of the smear chart is the MoveOn organization, George Soros heavily invested in. The propaganda of MoveOn, another far-left pressure group, is Media Matters, run by a gutter-snipe named David Brock. Brock and his character assassins distribute out-of-context statements to a carefully selected corrupt of group of media, headed by MSNBC. And they also distributed to the Internet.”
David Brock has never distributed anything to MSNBC. I take that back. We traded e-mails once and he came on the show once. Which to O‘Reilly constitutes a corrupt conspiracy. Also snowstorms. Snowstorms that make it difficult for him to get to worse. They‘re also corrupt conspiracies.
O'REILLY: “Sometimes the entities even cooperate. The aforementioned ‘Newsweek, for example, provides far left commentators to MSNBC on a daily basis.”
Yes. We have a contract with them like you have a contract with Karl Rove. Only the “Newsweek” guys are not full of canal water. It is the same contract with “Newsweek” that was, in fact, back in 2003, Billy, when you told the original executive producer of COUNTDOWN, Dennis Murray, that you thought COUNTDOWN was a terrific show.
O'REILLY: “The goal, of course, is to smear conservatives in the media, to convince ill-informed Americans that those on the right are racist homophobic extremists, whatever.”
Bill means Bill, smearing bill, and racist homophobic extremists, that‘s our Bill. Also, you left out factually mistaken usually.
O'REILLY: “As for Limbaugh saying he wants Obama to fail, here‘s something you will never hear on NBC News or read in the New York Times”—you got that wrong, didn‘t you? “According to a Fox News poll, taken in August 2006, 51 percent of Democrats said they wanted President Bush to fail; 51 percent. I believe NBC and the Times were in that group.”
Right, Fox News pollsters asked people from NBC and the “New York Times” to participate in one of their polls. By the way, funny this question about Democrats wanted Bush to fail poll by Fox News from Fox News shows up out of nowhere on Fox News this week. No direct link on the web.
IT turns out that when Fox wrote up the poll results in 2006, they never even bothered to include anything about the question about wanting Bush to fail until this week.
O'REILLY: “The Obama administration should understand Americans are wising up to the smear factory. Last year at this time, John Edwards was running around saying millions of homeless veterans are living under bridges because of the economy. Of course, that was bull. We proved it.”
You proved what? Firstly, Edwards said, quote, “200,000 men and women who wore uniforms and served this country patriotically as veterans will go to sleep under bridges and on grates.” Not millions, you idiot. Not just under bridges, homeless vets, Bill, they exist.
In fact, the only thing that was proved was that Edwards was being conservative with that number. The Veterans Administration not only confirmed Edwards number of 200,000 permanently homeless vets, but it also revealed there are 340,000 transiently homeless vets. Our service men spending part or all of the year on the streets.
You proved it? You gigantic flaming fraud you.
O'REILLY: “Fox News analyst Bernie Goldberg is well acquainted with the far left sneer machine. He‘s been a target. So we asked him to name the five worst offenders in the mainstream media.”
Now, you‘d think after that psycho terrorist admitted he shot up the Unitarian Church in Tennessee and killed two innocent bystanders because he couldn‘t shoot the people Bernard Goldberg rated as his 100 people screwing up America, Bernie would avoid any future list of liberals. He has, by proxy, enough blood on his hands already.
But shame and responsibility are two fellas Goldberg and Bill-O have never met. So now they rip off the COUNTDOWN format that Bill so admired in 2003, and they read off their list of offenders, in descending order. They picked Janeane Garofalo fifth.
Seriously, you know what even Janeane Garofalo would say about this? You idiots lost an election to a far left smear machine partially led by Janeane Garofalo? What, is she a wizard? Can she fly or something, something she never told me about?
The Bernard Goldberg paranoia festival continues with Bill Moyers fourth, Daily Kos third, to which Bill-O said, “it‘s about as hateful as you can possibly get. You can‘t get a more hateful website than them.”
You want to bet? Did you read the Fox News website on Monday, Bill, in which the president was compared to a monkey and to Hitler. Right, you didn‘t need to read it because some news model read those quotes on Fox News on TV.
Goldberg continues with the “New York Times” at number two. And then the big finish, MSNBC is first.
Goldberg: “I have them on the list at number one because they‘re a division of a major news organization, NBC News, and the villains are not even people on the air. They are executives who most Americans don‘t even know their names, but they have made a business decision to allow—and I will use this word very carefully—to allow defamation of conservatives with whom they have a beef.”
Now let‘s consider this in context for a moment. Since the day I began to criticize him, Bill-O‘s ultimate response, his fallback, has been to pull down his zipper and show everybody how much bigger his ratings are than mine. And Goldberg has routinely dismissed MSNBC and COUNTDOWN as irrelevant and trivial for the same reason.
But we‘re also at the top of their list for worst, best, most influential liberals in the media. Worst, better than the New York times? Worst, better than Janeane the human torch Garofalo.
Boys, either we have no ratings and don‘t count or we‘re the worst liberals in the world. Even in your fun-house mirror world, it cannot be both.
So Goldberg continues, “this qualifies them in my book as journalistic hookers. But I say this, Bill, with apologies to the other hookers out there who only sell their bodies. These people have sold their journalistic souls.”
And Bill-O wraps it up with, “and they have.”
Well, here‘s it‘s finally happened. I‘m going to have to agree with Bill O‘Reilly. He is, after all, the authority on hookers. From the Andrea Mackris lawsuit, when O‘Reilly told her about, quote, “a girl at a sex show in Thailand who had shown him things in a back room that had blew his mind.“
And there you have it. MSNBC is a company full of journalistic prostitutes because Bill-O the clown once went into the back room with a Thai hooker. Case closed!
O'Reilly Busted For Helping GOP Smear Pelosi
By: Steve - March 12, 2009 - 8:20am
Last night, and over the last couple weeks O'Reilly has been smearing Nancy Pelosi almost nightly. Now we know why, it's a planned strategy from the GOP leadership and House Republicans. And Billy is helping as much as he can, proving that he is a card carrying member of the Republican party. It's not a coincidence that suddenly O'Reilly started smearing Pelosi for no reason, it's a plan from the Republicans.
O'REILLY: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is under some fire for the way she uses military aircraft. On March 7th, the National Journal reported this story.
Shortly after the 9/11 attack, the White House mandated that the speaker of the House, third in line for the presidency, travel by government aircraft rather than commercial. Then-Speaker Dennis Hastert used a 12-seat Air Force jet. But Mrs. Pelosi prefers the much more expensive Gulfstream V.
Now, there is a legitimate reason, as Hastert could fly non-stop to his home in Illinois on the smaller plane, while that same aircraft would have to stop to refuel in order to get Pelosi home to San Francisco.
However, the group Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information request, and based on documents received says that Ms. Pelosi often cancels and changes military flights at the last minute, costing the taxpayers a bundle. According to the group, she took at least 50 military flights between February 2007 and November 2008.
Using private charter rates, 50 flights coast to coast would cost close to $1 million.
"Talking Points" believes that Nancy Pelosi and all other elected officials have an obligation to save taxpayer money whenever they can. That means keeping close track of all expenses, especially huge items like private military travel.
Congressman Patrick McHenry (R-NC) "offered a blunt description of the Republican strategy right now." Dropping any pretense that his party’s opposition to Obama's agenda is based on anything other than politics, McHenry explained that House Republicans only goal right now is to "bring down approval numbers for Pelosi":
"We will lose on legislation. But we will win the message war every day, and every week, until November 2010," said McHenry, an outspoken conservative who has participated on the GOP message teams. And ABC News backs up what I am saying, their investigation shows that Pelosi used the military planes far less than former Speaker Hastert did. It also proves that O'Reilly is a dishonest and biased right-wing hack, who is helping the GOP smear Pelosi for political reasons.
"Our goal is to bring down approval numbers for [Speaker] Nancy Pelosi. That will take repetition. This is a marathon, not a sprint."
From the 3-11-09 ABC News article.
Pelosi Travel Abuse? Case Not Proved
Watchdog Group Criticizes House Speaker for Travel Perks, but Records Don't Agree
By JONATHAN KARL AND LUIS MARTINEZ
March 11, 2009
The treasure trove of documents obtained by Judicial Watch from the Department of Defense regarding Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's use of military aircraft does not prove the organization's allegation that Pelosi has made "unprecedented demands" for the flights.
In fact, it appears that Pelosi uses military aircraft less often than her predecessor, former Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert.
The documents cover the period from January 2007 to November 2008 and show that Pelosi made 20 round-trips between Washington (Andrews Air Force Base) and San Francisco.
That's an average of less than one round-trip per month.
In contrast, former Speaker Hastert traveled home to his Illinois district virtually every weekend and, his former aides tell ABC News, he would almost always travel on military aircraft. Like Hastert, Pelosi also occasionally leads Congressional delegations on foreign trips (the documents show six foreign trips: one to Asia, three to the Middle East and two to Europe).
The documents obtained also disprove another frequently repeated rumor about Pelosi's travel: that she regularly flies home to San Francisco in an Air Force C-40, the military equivalent of a Boeing 737.
According to the documents, Pelosi did not make any domestic trips on a C-40 during the 23-month period from January 2007 to November 2008. Her trips to San Francisco have all been on smaller executive aircraft, usually an Air Force C-20 (the equivalent of a Gulfstream G-3) or a more plush C-37 (a Gulfstream G-5).
And now you have the truth. Which is basically all the information O'Reilly ignored. He took a biased report from Judicial Watch, and used it to smear Pelosi to help the Republican party bring her approval numbers down.
Just look at how O'Reilly reported this story, look at what he reported, and how he reported it, with Laura Ingraham and Dennis Miller, two right-wing stooges and no Democrats. There were no Democrats used because they would expose the smear job by O'Reilly, and tell the truth about the plane trips.
It was nothing but a total right-wing smear job that was full of spin and lies. O'Reilly ignored the facts, and then smeared Pelosi to help the Republicans. What's really sad is that this is the best they can do, it's childish, and pathetic. They have no valid political arguments to attack her, so they try to smear her for using a military plane too much, and O'Reilly was more than happy to help because he is a Republican who hates her.
The Wednesday 3-11-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 12, 2009 - 8:10am
The TPM was called Living Large. Billy attacked Pelosi for the military plane she uses, not this crap again. We already went through all this once before, now O'Reilly and all his right-wing friends are dragging it up again. O'Reilly and Hannity are just smearing her because they dont like her.
Hannity even claimed that "no other speaker" had a military plane before Nancy Pelosi and that she is the "first speaker to ever have that plane."
In fact, following 9-11, the House sergeant-at-arms, the Defense Department, and the White House agreed that military planes should be made available to the speaker of the House for national security reasons, and the first speaker to use such a plane was Dennis Hastert in 2001.
All the time Bush was president O'Reilly and Hannity never said a word about Hastert using a military plane, ever, not once. They only cry about it when a Democrat is using one, so shut the hell up hypocrites. This whole thing is just total bull, and nothing but right-wing bias against Pelosi. And O'Reilly is wasting valuable tv time on this partisan garbage.
Then O'Reilly had Laura Ingraham on to discuss it, and of course she agreed with everything O'Reilly said. When all these right-wing hypocrites never said a word about the plane when Hastert was using it. Not to mention She has to use a military plane for security reasons. And of course not one Democrat was put on to give the other side of the story, as in the facts.
Then Alan Colmes was on to talk about Gitmo, and it was the usual right-wing garbage. Billy cried about Obama closing Gitmo and how he should just execute them all. What's funny is O'Reilly claims to be opposed to the death penalty, then he calls for them all to be executed, without a trial. And a while back O'Reilly said if he was the president he would have them all put to death.
Which is a funny thing to say for someone who claims to be opposed to the death penalty. Not only would he put them all to death, he would do it without giving them a trial first. If that's a guy who is opposed to the death penalty, I'm Dick Cheney. O'Reilly also twisted Colmes words around to claim he would just let them all go, which is not what he said, and Colmes said that's not what I said. Billy said he did anyway, when he was sitting right there saying he never said that.
In the next segment O'Reilly reported on the Jon Stewart vs Jim Cramer feud. Which is so cheap, he clearly reported it so he can jump in the story to get ratings from it. Billy even had the right-wing Stuart Varney on to discuss it. He said stewart was right, and O'Reilly agreed, so where is the story. The whole thing was just a ratings play from O'Reilly.
Then O'Reilly talked about the feud between Meghan McCain and Ann Coulter. Which is just more garbage for ratings. Billy reported it in the policing the net segment. When it has nothing to do with the internet. Billy just covered it because it's a hot story and he figures he can get some ratings from it. And btw, Meghan McCain is right, having Coulter as the face of the Republican party hurts them.
O'Reilly had Amanda Carpenter on to talk about it, Billy speculated that her boss Tina Brown is driving the whole story. Then he admitted that it's pure speculation. Hey Billy, in the past you said you never speculate, and that you only deal in facts. So how do you explain this, you just speculated, and then admitted it, did you forget you said you never speculate?
Then Dennis Miller was on to trash and smear Pelosi some more. Billy asked him about the Air Pelosi story, and Miller was outraged. Hey jerkoffs, where was that outrage when the Republican speaker of the House Dennis Hastert was using military planes to do the exact same thing. As Jon Stewart would say, F-You. Miller made jokes about her looks and plastic surgery, and Billy loved it.
O'Reilly tried to get a grade for Obama on his first 50 days, but Miller would not do it. He said it was too soon to grade Obama, and for once, he is right. Only right-wing idiots want to grade Obama after 50 days, and what happened to 100 days? This 50 days crap was made up by some right-wing idiot, Bush was not given a grade after 50 days, and neither should Obama.
Then the new what's your beef segment, and my God is this segment lame. He had Maria Conchita Alonso on to cry about what a bad guy Hugo Chavez is, Billy said what is so wrong with him, and she said he is a dictator. Wow, thanks for that info, now tell us something we dont know. Billy turned it into a trash Sean Penn segment, which is not what she was on to say. This new segment is garbage, and just a total waste of tv time.
Then the pinheads and patriots segment, and the stupid e-mails. And another totally biased O'Reilly Factor was over. One Democrat was on the entire show, and that Democrat works for FOX News. So basically 95% of the show was right-wing propaganda and spin, with nobody to provide any balance.
Billy Wins Bronze in Worlds Worst Person
By: Steve - March 11, 2009 - 10:10pm
From the Monday 3-9-09 Countdown, Worst Person in The World.
OLBERMANN: The bronze to Bill-O the clown.
For palpable nonsense, perhaps nothing has ever surpassed this:
O'REILLY: "look, by all accounts, the Bush administration defeated al Qaeda. All right? Al Qaeda was marginalized, been downgraded as a threat to the world. So we won the terror war."
Tell that to the 17,000 troops the U.S. is about to send to Afghanistan, or the NATO commander in Afghanistan, General David McKiernan, who told the BBC that we and our allies are not winning the war in large sections of Afghanistan, or try telling it to any other grown up.
"By all accounts, Bush defeated al Qaeda." Never mind all, just name one, Billy. Just name one account.
The Tuesday 3-10-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 11, 2009 - 10:00am
The TPM was called Good Economic News. O'Reilly reported some good news on home values, auto sales, and inflation. Then he had some advice for Obama, he played a clip of Jack Welch saying Obama needs to focus on the economy more. Billy agreed, and said Welch is right. Earth to two right-wing idiots, how do you know Obama is not focused on the economy, it's pure speculation.
Hey O'Reilly, I thought you never speculated. O'Reilly is speculating that Obama is not focused on the economy, when he has no idea how focused he is, or not. It's all speculation, and something he said he never does. Then O'Reilly said once again that Obama is a socialist that is social engineering the economy.
This is insanity, because he just said Obama is not a socialist on the Monday night reality check. Then the very next night he calls him a socialist again, Billy get some professional help, and fast. And btw, Obama is not going to listen to Jack Welch or Bill O'Reilly on anything, so shut up with the advice. Idiots like you are what got us in this mess in the first place, so nobody is going to listen to you.
It's the same with Republicans in Congress, they had control of the country for 7 years and caused the mess we have now. Then they say, let us tell you what to do to fix it, ummmm, hell no. You caused the problem, so why should anyone listen to one damn word you have to say. To now listen to O'Reilly and the Republicans, would be like asking a race car driver who comes in last in every race, how to win races.
Then O'Reilly had Dr. Marc Lamont Hill on to discuss it. Dr. Hill is the token liberal who gets on the show once a week, just so O'Reilly can use him when someone points out he has 25 to 30 Republicans a week on. Then he will say, I'm fair and balanced because I have Dr. Hill on all the time. Yeah, in O'Reilly world having a liberal on once a week is balance.
Billy cried about Obama the socialist doing social engineering, income redistribution, raising his taxes, and taking all his money to give to people who dont deserve it, and who have not earned it. Yet he had no problem giving it to Bush to start un-needed wars, and tax cuts for millionaires. Somehow it's now wrong to give his money to pay for tax cuts for 95% of the people.
Billy called it income redistribution, instead of paying your fair share in taxes. But when the money went to pay for things Bush wanted he never once called it income redistribution, when it was the same damn thing, it just went to the wealthy, and Halliburton. Now because a Democratic president wants to use it suddenly it's income redistribution.
Shut up already, stop the crying. Nothing you say is true, and nothing you say will change a damn thing. You pay taxes, it pays for roads and bridges, etc. It's called a progressive tax system, and it's been in place forever, so shut the hell up and stop lying about it. Dr. Hill disagreed with everything O'Reilly said, and Billy got mad. He started screaming how Obama wants all his money so he can give it to heroin users and people who dont deserve it.
Then O'Reilly had some right-wing idiot on from Investors Business Daily. They are biased Republicans, but not once did O'Reilly disclose that fact. Some nut named Terry Jones was on to trash Obama and everything liberal. He even said Barney Frank should be in jail, when he had almost nothing to do with the financial crisis. The REPUBLICANS had total control of Congress for 6 years, from 2001 until January of 2007.
During that time Barney Frank had no power, none, and he did not do anything. The Time magazine list of the top 25 people that caused the financial crisis did not even have Frank on it. While Phil Gramm and Chris Cox were #1 and #2, and O'Reilly never says a word about them. When they are both Republicans and #1 and #2 on the list. The IBD is a biased right-wing joke, and that segment was a one sided embarassment to journalism.
Here is a question for O'Reilly, Dr. Hill was just there live in the studio, so why not hold him over for the next segment with Terry Jones and make it a half way balanced segment. Instead of doing the one sided right-wing propaganda with nobody to provide the balance. What say you?
Then O'Reilly had two Republican radio guys on to talk more about Rush Limbaugh, Mike Gallagher and Lars Larson. Billy asked why they keep talking about Rush, it just gives him more publicity and higher ratings. Look in the mirror pal, you talk about it every night. And the polls show you are wrong, Limbaugh has a 27% approval rating. So it's not helping him, or the Republican party.
What's funny is Rush Limbaugh is a far right nut, who said he wants the president to fail, and Billy said he has no problem with what Limbaugh does. But when liberals on Air America said they were glad Bush was failing Billy went nuts. He called them un-American traitors who hate America, and he said it a million times while Bush was in office.
But now when a Republican says he wants the president to fail, Billy says nothing, does not call them traitors, or un-American, or say they hate America, so it's a double standard. And btw, when a few liberals said they were glad Bush was a failure, it was after he was president for years, not 6 weeks, and Bush had screwed up over and over. And they did not call for him to fail when the country was in the worst financial crisis we have ever had in the last 50 years.
Liberals did not call for Bush to fail, they were just glad he did, but only after years of showing that he was a moron who could not do anything right. I call on O'Reilly to name one liberal who actually called for Bush to fail, you cant. Because it never happened. The whole segment was just more biased one sided right-wing garbage to give Limbaugh more publicity, with two Republican guests.
Then O'Reilly had a Latino on who was mad he told people to not go to Mexico for spring break. He said 90% of Mexico is safe and O'Reilly was wrong to say it. Billy tried to change his mind and he could not do it, so he got mad and started yelling at the guy. The guy stood his ground, but he did not do it very well. He looked intimidated and nervous. All during the segment Billy ran video of half naked college girls on the beach drinking in bikinis.
Then the is it legal segment with two more Republicans, Megyn Kelly and Lis Wiehl. They cried about girls sending sexy pics on their cell phones and computers, the Madoff plea deal, Anna Nicole crap, etc. It's half tabloid, half right-wing spin, pretending to be a legal segment. And as usual the entire show was all Republicans all the time, except for the one Liberal who got on for 4 whole minutes.
Funally we had the stupid tuesday night culture quiz with two Republicans from FOX, Steve Doocy and Martha McCallum. They are basically dumb and dumber, and the whole thing is just a giant waste of tv time. If that's news, I'm Karl Rove. Then the more waste of tv time pinheads and patriots and the edited hand picked e-mails.
Proof That O'Reilly is a Total Idiot
By: Steve - March 10, 2009 - 12:50pm
For weeks O'Reilly has been calling Obama a socialist who is turning America into a socialist country. Every night the whole show is 95% right-wing guests crying about how Obama the socialist is turning America into a socialist country. It's non-stop, and virtually every night for weeks on end.
Then last night he does a reality check segment about the NY Times, they did a phone interview with Obama and one of the questions asked if he is a socialist. Obama laughed and said no, and actually thought it was a joke. Then he was told they were serious, so he called back and gave them a more detailed answer.
Then the reality check from O'Reilly is that he does not think Obama is a socialist. Huh? That's what he has been saying for at least a month, if not 5 weeks. He even ran a poll on his website saying Obama is a socialist, here is a screen capture of it.
It looks like O'Reilly has either lost his mind, or he forgot to take his meds, or maybe both. You cant call someone a socialist for 5 weeks, then say they are not a socialist, unless your a crazy senile old fool who cant remember what you did the last 5 weeks, and cant remember the poll you ran on your own website.
Wait a minute, yes he can, because he's Bill O'Reilly, and that's what he does. It's crazy, and it makes no sense, but in O'Reilly world it's what a pretend journalist does with his cable news show. Billy if you are reading this, think about talking to a doctor, because you are losing your mind, what little you have left of it.
The Monday 3-9-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 10, 2009 - 10:20am
The TPM was called The Smear Machine. Billy went on another crazy right-wing rant about how all the media is corrupt and biased, except for FOX News of course, which is just insane. He even trashed Newsweek when he just cited them as a source for a story last week.
He cried about moveon.org and Media Matters, called them smear merchants, and said David Brock was a guttersnipe. When all they do is report when people in the media spin or lie, in O'Reilly world that's smearing people.
Basically he just dont like that they tell the truth about him and expose him as a spin doctor. So he smears them in a lame attempt to ruin their credibility. When he is the one with no credibility, and it just makes him look worse when he uses those tactics, especially when we all know they tell the truth.
Billy cried about how the media was trashing his buddy Rush, and he even went back in time to tell more lies. He said John Edwards lied about the 200,000 homeless vets and the media ran with it. Then he said he proved Edwards was a liar, ummm, no you didn't, in fact, I proved it was true, twice, using VA stats, and a report from military.com.
Then the biased far right Bernie Goldberg was on, he is the one and only Factor media analyst. Even though he is a partisan Republican, there is no Independent or Democrat Factor media analyst. What's funny is watching Billy and Bernie cry about media bias, when they are 99% biased to the right, and the Factor has 95% Republican guests.
Can you spell hypocrisy boys and girls, I can. It would be like octo-mom complaining that other women are having too many kids. Goldberg was on to do his crazy top 5 worst mainstream media outlets. The #5 winner was Janeane Garafolo, huh? She is not even in the media, and nobody cares what she says anyway.
The #4 winner was Bill Moyers, Goldberg called him a fake journalist, when the guy has 9 peabody awards, Goldberg and O'Reilly have 0, so who is the fake journalist? They just hate him because he tells the truth about Republicans, and they are jealous of him because he wins all those journalism awards.
The #3 winner was DailyKos. The #2 winner was the NY Times, Goldberg said he hopes they go out of business, and Billy predicted they would file bankruptcy this year. Goldberg also said if they go out of Business CBS News would not be able to put a show on the air.
And #1 was MSNBC. Which is so funny, because O'Reilly says they are a nothing news network that nobody watches. If that's true how can they be #1 on your stupid biased and worthless list. The funniest part is that FOX News is not on the list. They should be #1, but because Bernie and Billy do a biased one sided segment no right-wing news outlets made the list, which is just crazy.
If you asked the rest of America, FOX would be the #1 worst media source in America, which just shows how biased these two losers are.
Then Juan Williams and Mary K. Ham were on to talk about some stupid article about how Obama is tired, and it came from a newspaper in ENGLAND. O'Reilly even said he dont believe it, then why report it jackass. You pull a story (you dont believe) from a stupid newspaper in ENGLAND, then you report it anyway just to make Obama look bad, then claim you are fair to him, now that's funny.
Then Wayne Rodgers the FOX News stock reporter was on to give everyone economic advice. He said buy bonds, federally backed bonds. Rodgers said things are really bad, and worse than people know. Then Billy had a senior moment, he told Rodgers he was not buying the chicken little sky is falling bit.
When O'Reilly was saying the same thing last week, I even called him chicken little, and so did Dr. Hill. Now he is suddenly not buying the chicken little bit, when he was doing it just last week. I guess he's getting old and his memory is gone. And btw, O'Reilly is the same guy who denied we were even in a recession a year ago, when everyone else said we were.
Then he did the chimp attack story and some garbage about people being less religious. The study says it went from 8% to 15% who are not religious, ummmm, who cares, it's called freedom of religion, or no religion. The two Republican culture warriors were on, Hoover and Crowley, and of course no Democrats.
Billy said Vermont was #1 in lack of religion, and that he will not cheap shot them, then he did. He said I guess if Satan needs a place to ski he goes to Vermont. Earth to idiot, that's a cheap shot, 20 seconds after you said you would not cheap shot them. Then they talked about another teacher student sex story.
Then the great (no reality) Reality Check segment. Billy played a clip of the NY Times asking Obama if he is a socialist, the question was so stupid Obama had to call them back because he thought they were joking. The check was that Obama is not a socialist, and Billy said he does not believe Obama is a socialist.
But if that's true why does O'Reilly refer to him as a socialist every fricking night. It's crazy, Billy must be losing his mind, because he calls Obama a socialist almost every day, then does a reality check and says he is not a socialist. And the rest of the bogus reality checks were just as stupid, and not even worth reporting.
The last one was about the SEIU, Billy called them off the charts far left loons and said he has walked in their shoes, yeah right. He played the clip where they ask him to come to 2 or 3 of the states they live in and walk in their shoes. Billy said he has been to those states, so he has walked in their shoes already. That was the check, lol.
Does he even understand what they mean, I guess not. To walk in their shoes would mean you work a real job making $20 an hour, which O'Reilly did not do, and never has. In O'Reilly world visiting a state is walking in their shoes. How does this moron even have a news show.
Then the pinheads and patriots garbage, and the stupid e-mails, none of it is even worth reporting. It's just fluff and filler, and more time for O'Reilly to pimp his stupid books and his lame websites.
More Proof O'Reilly is Lying About Obama & The Market
By: Steve - March 9, 2009 - 2:50pm
Today Former bond broker, tax lawyer, and financial blogger Hale Stewart writes how it is ridiculous to blame the stock market drop on Obama. And that only partisan right-wingers like O'Reilly and his friends are doing it.
The Economy -- Not the President -- Is Tanking the Market
by Hale Stewart
One of the more ridiculous statements going around over the last few weeks is "this is an Obama bear market." This statement is, well, ill-informed at best and fraudulent at worst. Let's look at why.
First -- who is saying this? Such economic luminaries as John Hawkins at Right Wing News (who actually asked Is Obama Deliberately Tanking the Stock Market?), Powerline, Brit Hume along with a host of other right wing bloggers. What all of these people have in common is their incessant chearleading during the Bush years despite mounting evidence of an upcoming recession.
These are the same people who argued that ... housing is a small part of the economy ... most people are paying their mortgages ... the US economy will decouple from the rest of the world .... it's the greatest story never told ..... you get the idea. Simply put, these are people who have distinguished themselves by being some of the best contrary indicators around.
Secondly, the SPYs -- the tracking ETF for the S&P 500 -- dropped from (roughly) 155 in the summer of 2007 to (roughly) 85 at the end of last year. Yet I don't remember any of them saying that was the Bush bear market -- even though that's a drop of roughly 43%. No -- it's the new President that's causing the problems.
In addition, when Bush took office the SPYs dropped from roughly 130 early in 2001 to 85 in the fourth quarter of 2002. Yet somehow I don't think any of them blamed Bush's policies for the drop. Then it was the "lasting effects of the Clinton recession" or something similar.
What all of these idiots are forgetting is the simple fact that the economy is the backdrop of the stock market. When the economy does well the stock market does well. When the economy doesn't do well, the stock market doesn't do well. And to that end, the economy isn't doing well right now.
I could go on, but you you get the idea. The news of the underlying economy has been terrible (at best). And that's what's causing the problems.
O'Reilly And His Republican Friends Are Biased Partisans
By: Steve - March 9, 2009 - 11:50am
Last week O'Reilly and all his Republican friends started blaming Obama for the stock market drop. I wrote that was ridiculous, and that he was elected to fix the economy. I also said if he gets the economy going in the right direction the stock market will follow.
Now I am not an economist, and I have no degree in economics, neither does O'Reilly btw. But I do have common sense, and I understand how the economy and the stock market work. I also know how to de-spin all the right-wing propaganda out there from doing it with O'Reilly for 9 years.
The Wall Street Journal ran an op-ed on March 6th with the headline "Obama's Radicalism is Killing the Dow." And all last week O'Reilly said the same thing. O'Reilly said wall street does not trust Obama, and that his liberal policies are dragging the market down.
Billy said this on March 5th:
O'REILLY: Thursday was another bad day for stocks. The Dow down 281 points. Since the president has been in office, stocks are down 17 percent.I said that is ridiculous, since he has only been president for 6 weeks, and none of his policies have even taken effect yet. I also said if the economy turns around the stock market will go up. And Dan McCrum from the Financial Times wrote pretty much the same thing. In fact, the market has been on a decline since October 2007, and, as the Financial Times' Dan McCrum said:
Everyday it seems the financial markets are sending a message to Barack Obama: We don't trust you.
McCRUM: "it's the economy which is driving the market down here" and that "what's important is that President Obama doesn't try to address that in the short term. He's quite right that short-term market movements aren't -- shouldn't be driving government policy. What he needs to do is concentrate on fixing the economy, and the market will sort itself out."
Which is almost exactly what I said last week. It shows that I was right, and it also shows that O'Reilly is a spinning lying right-wing fraud who blames it all on Obama, 6 weeks into his presidency, when it was Bush and his policies over the last 8 years that caused this mess. Even the right-wing Larry Kudlow said the stock market drop can not be blamed on Obama, that is has to be blamed on Bush, and he is a die-hard Republican.
Kudlow said this on the March 6 edition of CNBC's The Kudlow Report:
KUDLOW: "I will not blame [Obama] for the recession or the high unemployment rate. All of that ... began before his watch. Mr. Bush has got to take the rap for that in the last year of his administration."
And yet, O'Reilly and all these right-wing fools ignore the fact that Bush caused this mess, and that the DOW dropped from 13,000 in May of 2008, to 7,500 in December of 2008, and that happened while Bush was still the president.
The economy is still on a downward slide from what Bush did, Obama just happens to be the president now, but none of his policies caused what is happening now. Because none of them have even been put in place yet. The stimulus bill just passed 2 weeks ago, so none of it has happened yet, none of the money has been spent yet.
It will be at least 3 to 6 months before we know if it did any good or not, and even then it will be hard to measure because the economy is still getting worse. Experts say the stimulus will not fix the economy, it will only slow down the downward slide, and keep things from getting worse faster.
Obama needs at least a year, maybe two, before we can start to blame things on him. Then a year or two from now if things are still bad we can blame him, until then he deserves time to get things fixed. Yet fools like O'Reilly have already declared him a failure, a mere 6 weeks into his presidency.
It's ridiculous to blame a new president for all the problems the last president caused, especially when he's only been the president for 6 weeks, and he has not even done anything yet. But that's exactly what O'Reilly and all his dishonest right-wing friends are doing.
They are doing it for political reasons, to cover for Republicans in the 2010 elections, so they will not lose more seats in Congress. If they can fool some people into thinking it's all Obama's fault, they may not lose any more seats in the House and the Senate, and that's all they care about.
They dont give a damn about fixing the economy, they just want to play political games so they can save the Republican party from losing the few seats in Congress they have left.
The Truth About Conservatives From a Former Republican
By: Steve - March 9, 2009 - 10:00am
Ever since Obama was sworn in as our new president about 6 weeks ago, I have been writing in this blog that Republicans like O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc. are smearing and lying about Obama to make him look bad. Then today I found a few articles written by Frank Schaeffer, he is a NY Times best selling author, and a former Republican.
In these articles he documents how Republicans tell lies about Obama for religious and political reasons. His information confirms everything I have been saying, and it also confirms that O'Reilly is a Republican who says everything Frank writes about. Just look at his articles, he lays out what they believe in, and what they say, and it's the same things O'Reilly spews out every night.
Why Are the Republicans Such Anti-Obama Liars?
by Frank Schaeffer (March 1st)
Do you wonder why the Republicans tell such whopping lies about President Obama and his economic recovery plan ? Isn't one conservative value truth telling? Not when you are serving the "higher call" to save America for Jesus and/or perpetual war, as I explain in my book,Crazy for God: How I Grew Up as One of the Elect, Helped Found the Religious Right, and Lived to Take All (or Almost All) of It Back .
You see the Republican "base" is living in an alternative universe. These are the folks who believe that: Guns make you safe, The earth is 6000 years old, Gays are evil and dangerous, Iraq had something to do with 9/11, Obama is a Muslim, Obama is a communist, Obama is the Antichrist, Lowering taxes for the super rich would help the economy, Deregulating banks leads to prosperity.
Jesus is coming back soon to take all the evangelicals to heaven leaving anyone who can walk in a straight line and chew gum at the same time on earth, Sara Palin's only problem is that the "elite media" was unfair to her, Every word of the Bible is true -- literally, We don't need trains that work, infrastructure that functions and new energy, just Jesus.
Today the Republican Party is rooting for doom. And since the Republicans are now anti-American members of an Obama-must-fail insurgency, lies become a self-fulfilling prophecy: talk doom, and keep the economy in a panic and we may get what we wish for.
Don't conservative Republicans object to the lies? No, because the Republicans don't have any actual and traditional conservative followers left. The Republican base is now made up of religious and neoconservative ideologues, and the uneducated white underclass with a token person of color or two up front on TV to obscure the all-white, all reactionary all backward -- there-is-no-global-warming -- rube reality. Actual conservatives, let alone the educated classes, have long since fled.
So, what is the problem with lying to our faces, say, claiming that all American's taxes are going up when 95% of American's taxes are going to go down? Why not claim Obama is a socialist, even if he's not? Why not say anything at all to drive our country into a pit when losing is seen as winning? That, is all the Republicans have to offer America: more lies on a path to destruction from which the Republican "leadership" plans to resurrect themselves and "save" America from Obama.
Full Story: Why Are the Republicans Such Anti-Obama Liars?
You should also read the other article he wrote, he lays out the no spin truth about Republicans and what they are doing. And remember this, O'Reilly is doing everything he talks about, while claiming he is not a Republican, which is just laughable.
Open Letter to the Republican Traitors (From a Former Republican)
Open Letter to the Republican Traitors
New Polls Prove O'Reilly Partisan Dishonesty

Last week O'Reilly promoted the Limbaugh vs Democrats argument, and he spent the whole week arguing that it has hurt Democrats more than Republicans. Which is ridiculous, and I said so in my blog. That never stopped O'Reilly, he wasted a whole week spewing out right-wing talking points about Obama and how the people dont trust him, or support him, he even claimed the Obama approval numbers have dropped.
All of that was nonsense and nothing but right-wing propaganda and talking points. The claims from O'Reilly that Obama had this big drop in the polls are garbage, he did drop a few points, but those polls have a +or- margin of error of 3 points, and the slight drop was with Republicans only. There was no drop at all with the rest of America, his approval rating only went down with a few partisan Republicans.
Here is a quote from Friday's 3-6-09 Newsweek article, the same Newsweek O'Reilly quoted just last week:
"Barack Obama continues to enjoy a honeymoon with the American public in the face of the most trying crisis any newly inaugurated president has encountered since FDR. The GOP, meanwhile, is viewed by a majority of Americans as the party of "no," without a plan of its own to fix the economy, and even rank-and-file Republicans are concerned about the party's direction."And yet all week long on the Factor O'Reilly did nothing but spew out right-wing propaganda saying the people do not trust Obama anymore, how he is losing support from the people and wall street, how his economic plan is a failure, and his future plans will not work. Billy even said the Democratic party was in more turmoil than the Republican party. Which is just insane, and nothing but lies.
Although his approval ratings are down from levels seen a few weeks ago in other polls, 72 percent of Americans still say they have a favorable opinion of Obama--a higher rating than he received in NEWSWEEK Polls during the presidential campaign last year.
All the polls have the GOP looking terrible and the Democratic party looking great. Approval for Democrats in Congress is 43%, it's 19% for Republicans, even the conservative Wall Street Journal says Obama has widespread backing from the American people.
Overall, 66% of all Americans say they feel 'hopeful' about Mr. Obama's leadership and plans, compared with 28% who say they feel doubtful.
What's really funny is when O'Reilly hammers Pelosi for only having a 37% job approval, but he never tells you what the approval numbers are for the Big Name Republicans, so you can put it in perspective. He ignores their approval ratings because they are far worse than Pelosi. And think about this, the overall approval rating for all of Congress is 41%, so the Pelosi approval of 37% is not that bad when you put it into perspective.
Here are some favorable ratings for Big Name Republicans.
House Minority Leader John Boehner - 21%
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell - 23%
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal - 23%
John McCain - 55%
Sarah Palin - 44%
Rush Limbaugh has a 27% favorable rating, and only 48% of Republicans give him a favorable rating. Only 14% of the people see Rush as an important leader of the Republican party, so half the Republicans dont even like him, and that number is only 16% among Republicans.
Just a few minutes ago Headline News reported a new poll that shows the Democratic party at 68% approval, and the Republican party at 27% approval, which is a record low for Republicans. The only people who disapprove of Obama are REPUBLICANS. And there was no approval drop with the rest of America.
Now think about this, O'Reilly just spent a whole week telling everyone the exact opposite. He said nobody has trust in Obama anymore, he said the Democratic party is in more turmoil than the Republican party, he said Obama's approval numbers are dropping, he said the Obama economic plan is a failure, when it's not even been put in place yet, or had time to work, and on and on. It was all lies folks, every word of it, and the polls prove it.
Even the conservative Wall Street Journal has Obama at 66% job approval. But O'Reilly continues to ignore the facts to spew out right-wing propaganda and spin. Is it any more clearer than now how much of a partisan spin doctor O'Reilly is for the Republican party. All the facts show one thing, and O'Reilly ignores it all.
Then he tells you the exact opposite of what all the polls show. And he calls that Journalism, when it's nothing but Republican propaganda. It's all lies, and dont just believe me, do a google search and go look for yourself, then you will see the truth, and see what a partisan liar O'Reilly is.
O'Reilly Joins GOP in Promoting Tension Between Pelosi & Obama
By: Steve - March 7, 2009 - 2:30pm
The Republican party has a plan to make Pelosi look bad because they dont want to attack Obama too much because he is very popular and has high job approval ratings. So part of their plan is to make up tension between Pelosi and Obama, this is a known right-wing plan, and O'Reilly is a big part of it.
As the Newshounds reported last Tuesday, Billy attempted to paint Obama's relationship with Nancy Pelosi as fraught with tension, signaling trouble in paradise. Captioned "Turmoil in Both Political Parties." O'Reilly seized on a Newsweek article entitled, Obama’s Pelosi Problem, which reported on rumored friction between Obama and Pelosi.
O'Reilly alleged that Pelosi's “anti-Republican stance is annoying Mr. Obama." However, he failed to note several key points about the Newsweek article, it also pointed out that “Obama and Pelosi respect, even like, each other," and the article cited no sources other than “some White House aides" and “a senior Obama official" who “asked not to be named so he could speak candidly."
The author did not quote either President Obama or Pelosi in the article to validate or dispute its accuracy, and the article made note that “Pelosi's hard-edged style also benefits Obama." And O'Reilly still cited the statements, when in the past he said you can not trust unsourced anonymous comments, when it was about Bush. Now that it's about Obama he suddenly has no problem quoting unnamed anonymous sources.
O'Reilly also didn't, cite a recent New York Times article entitled, Frustrated G.O.P. Tries to Drive Wedge Between Obama and Pelosi, which claims that “For Republicans, it makes much more sense to focus their disdain on the speaker rather than Mr. Obama, who remains very popular." The article goes on to say that “the two share plenty of common philosophical ground and have similar policy goals."
House Democrats may have stuffed a few clunkers into the stimulus bill, but Obama was totally on board with the vast majority of the bill. O'Reilly failed to mention any of that, because he is part of the dishonest right-wing smear job he is involved in.
Their whole plan is to smear and lie about Obama and the Democrats in Congress until the 2010 mid-term elections, and the 2012 presidential election. In the hopes that they can fool some people into thinking Obama is a socialist who is going to raise everyones taxes, spend all the money we have, and seize everyones assets.
Their partisan plan will depend on the economy, if the economy does not get better in a year or so, it might fool a few people. But if the economy does get better and Obama remains a popular president their entire plan will fall apart. And Bill O'Reilly is one of the head cheerleaders in that plan. From now until the (2010 and 2012) elections you will see non-stop smearing of Obama by O'Reilly and all his right-wing friends.
Hell he already started, every night since Obama got elected it's been nothing but a Factor smear job on Obama. The whole show is 95% right-wing guests, roughly 25 Republicans a week, to maybe 4 Democrats a week, sometimes less, and it's pretty much non-stop Obama attacks. The Factor is like watching a 45 minute GOP attack ad on Obama every night, then he says he has been fair to Obama, and the sky is purple too.
It proves that O'Reilly is in the tank for the GOP, and it also proves that O'Reilly will do anything to make Democrats in Congress and the president look bad, and that he is a front running (big time) water carrier for the Republican party, while denying he is a Republican. Just last night he denied it again when Glenn beck suggested O'Reilly should be the leader of the Republican party, and if not him, Sarah Palin would be his 2nd choice.
The Friday 3-6-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 7, 2009 - 9:00am
The TPM was called Rewriting History. For some reason O'Reilly decided to go back in time and trash Ward Churchill and Bill Ayers some more. Probably because it gets good ratings from his 90% far right viewers. Billy even said you might ask why he is reporting on these people again, and say who cares. Then he reported on them again anyway, he said it was important to know about them, for some unknown reason.
What got me was when he linked Conyers, Leahy, and Krugman to Churchill and Ayers. When they have nothing to do with them, and do not even know them. Billy claimed they are all linked because they hate America, or some right-wing garbage like that, it dont make sense, but he linked them anyway.
The funny part was near the end of the TPM when he said he has been fair to Obama. The very next night after he dishonestly cherry picked a partial quote from Obama to misrepresent what he meant about ending earmarks. Yeah Billy that's being fair, in your head maybe, but nowhere else on the planet. It's dishonest journalism, a lie, and not fair at all. But in O'Reilly world that's being fair.
How can you trash everything Obama does, or plans to do, and do it 5 days a week, then call that being fair. It's insanity, to say it, and to think someone will believe it. When all anyone has to do is watch the show and you will see O'Reilly and his 95% Republican guests trash Obama non-stop for an hour every night. If that's fair, I'm Karl Rove.
Then for the first time ever O'Reilly had Ann Coulter on with a Democrat, which is a first, usually she is on all alone. John Flannery was on with her, but of course it was still a biased segment. Because O'Reilly and Coulter agreed on everything, and Coulter even said she agrees with everything O'Reilly said. So it was a 2 on 1 and Flannery barely got any time to speak. Coulter talked first, so between her and O'Reilly using up all the time he barely got to talk for a minute. And yes I timed it, he spoke for roughly 1 minute.
Billy said we won the terror war, and won the Iraq war. Called Leahy and Conyers idiots who are on a witch hunt for Bush, and lied about the polls saying only 40% support an Investigation of Bush. Then Coulter said she agreed with everything he said, even though it was all lies. The polls say 62% of Americans support an Investigation of Bush for crimes, so once again O'Reilly lied to support his position.
Then he had some woman on who did a bogus study that said Sarah Palin was hurt in the election because she was too good looking. Yeah right, to begin with she is not exactly a 10, maybe a 7, she is sort of sexy, in a librarian kinda way. But she was hurt because she is a freaking dumbass moron. Katie Couric exposed her as an empty headed, pro-life to the extreme, bible thumping, right-wing nut. That's why she was hurt, not because of her looks. The whole segment was garbage, and just a waste of tv time.
Then Billy had a new Factor segment, and it was a totally biased joke. It's called the economic survival guide, and it will be on every friday. He claimed it will tell you how to survive in todays economy. The two economic survival experts were both FOX News Republicans, Cheryl Casone and Terry Keenan, what a shocker, NOT. They basically trashed everything Obama is doing, and everything he plans to do, and said it will all fail.
How does that help anyone survive todays economy, there were no survival tips for anyone, just 3 Republicans trashing every plan Obama has, or will have. It's just another segment where O'Reilly has two Republicans on with no Democrat so they can trash and smear Obama with nobody to question anything they say. It's called journalistic bias, times three. And we can all look forward to that biased garbage every friday night now.
Then Geraldo was on to talk about the drug war on the Mexican border. What's funny is 60 minutes did a story last week that said 90% of the weapons they use to out-gun the cops are coming from America since Bush let the assualt weapons ban expire a few years ago. But O'Reilly and Geraldo never mention that, ever, not once.
Because Billy has a ton of NRA members watching his show, so he dont ever dare to say it, then they would get mad and write him with hate mail, and he has to cover for his hero Bush. So he just ignores it as if it's not true, and he calls that no spin journalism. When it's leaving out a big part of the story for partisan reasons.
Then the insane Glenn Beck was on, my God is he crazy, and if not for FOX News he would not even have a show. They talked about GOP leadership, Billy asked Beck who he wants to lead the Republican party. Beck said O'Reilly, he said O'Reilly would be a good choice, then Billy told his running joke about how he's not a Republican, and that he is an Independent. I have to admit it's a good joke, and very funny. If O'Reilly is an Indpendent, I'm Donald Trump.
Then O'Reilly said who else you got, and Beck said he likes Sarah Palin. So his two chocies to lead the Republican party are Bill O'Reilly and Sarah Palin, no wonder they are so screwed up. And they wonder why they are getting their ass kicked in all these elections, just look at who they look up to, O'Reilly, Palin, Limbaugh, Hannity, and Coulter. The 5 stooges, they are all far right neo-con partisans who dont have a clue what mainstream America wants, and it's sure not any of them.
If they are the leaders of the Republican party they are in serious trouble. Then the last segment was the TV Icon garbage that's not news, and not even close. Then pinheads and patriots and the e-mails. The pinhead was a guy in Japan who stripped in 5 seconds on a tv show there, ummmmm, who gives a damn about what happens on tv in Japan, and how does that make him a pinhead here in America?
Billy got an e-mail from a woman and her husband that said they love the Factor but when he does an octo-mom story they change the channel. I do the same thing lady, it's tabloid crap for ratings, I do not report it, and I do not watch it. Maybe one day Billy will listen to his viewers and drop all the tabloid garbage, but I doubt it, if it gets good ratings he is gonna continue to do it.
That's why he has so many Republican guests and all the tabloid garbage. His viewers like to see Republican guests, because most of them are Republicans and they agree with them, and they like the tabloid/sex garbage, so he does it. It's called ratings, and ratings equal money. So Billy just pimps himself out to get the highest ratings possible, and to hell with reporting real news, ratings come first.
Great Article About Obama And The Stock Market
By: Steve - March 6, 2009 - 6:30pm
O'Reilly and all his Republican friends are blaming the economic crisis and the stock market drop on Obama, which is just ridiculous as I have written here in my blog. Yesterday Robert Reich published an article at salon.com that details why it is ridiculous to blame Obama. Here are some highlights from that article.
Is Obama responsible for Wall Street's meltdown?
It's an absurd argument, but that's where populist rage on the right is heading.
By Robert Reich
March 5, 2009 | Is Obama responsible for the meltdown of the Dow? The consistently wrongheaded Wall Street Journal's editorial page says so, as does Republican Fox News, CNN's reliably demagogic Lou Dobbs, and now CNBC (where, full disclosure, I frequently appear as a token liberal). CNBC's Jim Cramer, who bloviates nightly about stock picks, says Obama is pushing a "radical agenda" that's destroying investors' wealth. My friend Larry Kudlow, who rants nightly about nearly everything, says Obama is destroying capitalism. CNBC reporter Rick Santelli's ballistic nonsense about Obama's mortgage plan made him a pop-populist icon for a week or so.
The argument that Obama is somehow responsible for the collapse of Wall Street is absurd. First, every major policy that led to this collapse occurred under George W.'s watch (or, more accurately, his failure to watch). The housing and financial bubbles were created under Bush and exploded under Bush. The stock market began to collapse under Bush.
Second, it's inevitable that stocks, led by the bloated financial sector, would lose their remaining hot air as the new administration begins "stress-testing" the big banks, many of which are technically insolvent. After all, their share prices were built on a tissue of lies and dreams. Other sectors whose values were similarly distorted and distended by years of financial deception and regulatory disregard, such as housing and insurance, will also have to return to the real world before they can recover. Which could mean more stock losses.
For years, the Wall Street Journal editorial page and the financial gurus of cable news cheered as Wall Street leveraged its way into oblivion.
This bizarre charge wouldn't be worth mentioning were it not a market test for a more intense attack from Wall Street and Republican media outlets next year as the nation moves into the gravitational range of the 2010 midterm elections. Republicans have made no secret of their wish to blame Obama for the bad economy, and to stir up as much populist rage against his so-called socialist tendencies as politically possible.
STEVE: Note to Bill O'Reilly: he's talking about you pal.
The public is understandably appalled that its tax dollars are being used to pay and prop up the very people and institutions responsible for this debacle. And there seems to be no end in sight: Citigroup and the insurance mammoth AIG, in particular, have become giant ongoing sump-pumps for tens of billions of public dollars. Yet no one seems to know exactly where these dollars are going, or why.

The Thursday 3-5-09 O'Reilly Factor Review
By: Steve - March 6, 2009 - 2:10pm
The TPM was called, Is Economy Taking Obama Down Already? In O'Reilly world it is, after only 6 weeks in office, what a joke. Billy reported what the right-wing Santelli nut at CNBC said, he asked how many of you want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage. Billy said at first it was just a few people saying Obama has lost control, and that now a crescendo is building.
Yeah that crescendo is O'Reilly, Santelli, and a few other right-wing spin doctors, to him that's a crescendo. Billy says there is a huge divide between wall street and the folks, wow, tell us something we dont know, brainiac. O'Reilly claims the financial markets dont trust Obama, when all the polls show the people support him. Hey Billy, what happened to the folks, you said you care about them, haha, yeah right. It looks to me like you only care about wall street.
Not to mention it's been 6 fricking weeks you right-wing jackass. You gave Bush 8 years and never said a word about anything he did. And wall street hates Obama because he is gonna raise taxes on their over-paid rich asses. And if we dont bailout those 9 million people with bad loans it will make things worse and cost us more later than if we save them now. So you and Santelli are both right-wing idiots.
Then he put the totally biased FOX News Neil Cavuto on to discuss it. And we already know what Cavuto said, Obama is a failure, his plan is failing, and it's a huge mistake. And all that after 6 weeks, and the stimulus bill just passed 2 weeks ago. This is so much right-wing propaganda it's stunning. Where is that year to three years the people say Obama will get, show the results of that poll morons.
O'Reilly repeated the lie that Obama said he would not allow earmarks in a federal spending bill, as I showed yesterday, it's dishonest, and a flat out lie. Cavuto and O'Reilly basically said let the free market work ad give us more tax cuts. Which is what we just did for 8 years under Bush and why we are in this mess in the first place.
Not to mention, for 2 or 3 weeks O'Reilly tells people the market is a con game, then it drops every day and he blames Obama, and even says his policies are why it's dropping. When he has only been in office for 6 weeks, and virtually none of his policies have even started to take effect yet.
And how many times did O'Reilly take a cherry picked partial quote from Bush, then misrepresent what he said, never, not once in 8 years. But Obama is the president 6 weeks and he is already doing it, if that's not a perfect example of bias from O'Reilly I dont know what is.
Then he had Dr. Marc Lamont Hill on. Hill told O'Reilly to calm down and let Obama do his thing. And of course O'Reilly says the sky is falling, and blames it on Obama, when it's all because of Bush. Obama has not even had time to do anything. Hill said long term people will see growth and things will get better. O'Reilly said Obama is going to bankrupt the country and life as we know it will end.
What a moron, Dr. Hill even used the sky is falling line, maybe he got it from me.
HILL: Again, that that's hyperbole the sky is falling.
Dr. Hill told O'Reilly to give Obama some time and things will work out, O'Reilly said maybe not. Then Billy brought back the Obama/Pelosi tension garbage. Then O'Reilly said Obama is moving toward seizing property from the affluent, which is just ridiculous. Hill said that's not true, and it's insane to even say it. O'Reilly has gone off the deep end to smear and lie about Obama.
Billy said this:
O'REILLY: Punitive taxation is that way, though. 60 to 65 percent of a person's paycheck, that's pretty much seizing their assets.
What an a-hole, it's not 60 percent, or 65 percent, it's 39 percent you lying jerk. The top federal rate will be 39 percent, and that's a fact. And how is raising taxes on the rich 3 to 4 percent seizing their assets, are you retarded? Billy said the country is in record debt because of social programs, wow does this right-wing idiot lie. It's in record debt becuse of Bush, Republicans, and wall street, dumbass.
Hill finally stood up to O'Reilly and said stop, you are wrong, and it did not do a damn bit of good, it was like talking to a wall. Then Laura Ingraham was on to agree with everything O'Reilly said, as she always does. I dont even need to report what she said, you aready know. She basically said the same thing O'Reilly and Cavuto said in the other 2 segments. Ingraham said we are losing our country, calling Glenn Beck, lol.
Then the tabloid Kelly File garbage, O'Reilly gave her two full segments to report all that trash, it's not even news, and I will not report it. It's Inside Edition/TMZ style tabloid crap, and it should not be on a so-called real news show.
Then the no reality (just right-wing spin) reality check segment. It was garbage, something about Bono insulting another musician, I mean who cares. Billy cried about Letterman calling Limbaugh a bonehead, how is that a reality check. Another reality check was video of a sleeping dog, huh?
Then he reported the stock price for GE, how is that a reality check. It's just a smear job for revenge against Keith Olbermann. Then pinheads and patriots and the lame ass e-mails. And another joke of a show was over, with mostly lies and smears on Obama, tabloid garbage, and almost no news anyone actually needs.
O'Reilly Caught Lying About Obama Earmark Promise
By: Steve - March 5, 2009 - 1:30pm
This morning when I wrote the review for last night's Factor, I gave credit to O'Reilly for nailing Obama on his earmarks promise, and I made a mistake. It just goes to show that O'Reilly is a dishonest jerk of a right-wing liar. And nothing he says can ever be believed, especially when he is talking about a Democrat.
Last night O'Reilly aired a clip of President Obama stating, "We are going to ban all earmarks, the process by which individual members insert pet projects without review," which O'Reilly falsely characterized as "President Obama pledging last January to end earmarks in federal spending."
Later in the show, referring to earmarks included in the omnibus appropriations bill, O'Reilly stated, "But Obama's on record -- we just played the clip -- that he's going to do away with this. And then he takes 9,000 of them and signs it?"
In fact, in the January 6th clip O'Reilly played, Obama was referring to his desire to "ban all earmarks" from his "recovery and reinvestment plan," which he specifically distinguished from "the overall budget process."
Billy cherry picked the Obama statement, and only played the part he wanted you to see, then misrepresented what he was talking about. Here is most of the full statement, the part O'Reilly dishonestly failed to show you.
OBAMA: But we're not going to be able to expect the American people to support this critical effort unless we take extraordinary steps to ensure that the investments are made wisely and managed well. And that's why my recovery and reinvestment plan will have -- will set a new higher standard of accountability, transparency, and oversight.O'Reilly is just the latest right-wing hack to misrepresent Obama's statements regarding earmarks to then accuse Obama of breaking his promise. During his presidential campaign, Obama actually promised to REFORM the earmark process and cut wasteful spending, not ELIMINATE earmarks.
We are going to ban all earmarks, the process by which individual members insert pet projects without review.
This is 100% proof that O'Reilly is a biased and dishonest right-wing fraud, he edited that clip on purpose to misrepresent what Obama promised so he could make it look like he broke a promise to the American people, when he did no such thing.
This is really low, even for O'Reilly, he did it to the president, O'Reilly misrepresented what the president said, and did it on purpose. After this he can not even claim to be a journalist, or complain about bias from other journalists, he's a low life partisan hack, not a journalist.
The Wednesday 3-4-09 O'Reilly (Smear Obama) Factor Review
By: Steve - March 5, 2009 - 8:30am
The TPM was called Your Tax Dollars. Billy trashed Obama for letting earmarks in the budget bill, after he said he would not allow earmarks. For once I agree with O'Reilly, Obama was wrong to allow all those earmarks. It should be noted though, that 8 of the top 20 worst earmark spenders are Republicans. And of course the other 12 are Democrats.
Then Billy had Dick Morris on, O'Reilly kept saying Obama is trying to use Rush Limabugh to make the Republican party look bad, when Obama had nothing to do with it. Billy lied once again when he claimed Emanuel replied to Rush on the sunday show, when Rush said he hopes Obama fails, and Emanuel was responding to him.
Somewhere in Billy's warped mind he thinks it's helping Rush, when it's hurting him, and the Republican party, with everyone but Republicans anyway. The rest of America see Rush Limbaugh as a crazy far right nut, so it's hurting him. And it also makes the Republican party look bad for making such a far right nut their leader. But of course Billy dont see it that way, because he agrees with Rush on most things and he dont think he's that bad.
Even crazy Dick Morris disagreed with O'Reilly, he said Rush is hurting the Republican party. And for once Morris is exactly right. Billy called it a sideshow, and he should know, he runs one every night, it's called the Factor. Billy tried to argue that the fight with Rush makes Obama look petty, so it hurts him, when Obama has nothing to do with it, and it's hurting Rush and the Republican party, not Obama.
Morris was even held over for a 2nd segment to talk about the made up friction between Pelosi and Obama again, for the 2nd night in a row. And once again Morris told O'Reilly it's all an act, that Pelosi and Obama are good friends and there is no friction. O'Reilly just dreamed it up to try and make them look bad, even Morris knows the truth, for once. Brit Hume also said the same thing, so finally O'Reilly said it might be true.
Then Billy showed the ridiculous personal website poll he ran, the unscientific one, it asked if you think Obama will turn the economy around. And what a shocker, 96% of his biased website visitors said no, only 4% said yes. That alone should tell you just how biased to the right his website visitors are. Not to mention polls taken on personal websites are totally worthless, so the poll is garbage, and all it proves is that 96% of his website visitors are Republicans.
Then O'Reilly put the token Democrat (Alan Colmes) on so when someone says he is a biased Republican he can say he has Democrats on the show all the time. Yeah, 3 times a week, in O'Reilly world that's all the time. Colmes is a FOX News Democrat, that means he has to be easy on O'Reilly or he never gets on the air again. Real Democrats almost never get on, it's always a FOX News fake Democrat.
Even stupid Colmes told him there is no friction between Pelosi and Obama, O'Reilly and two other nuts are the only people in the world who believe it. Billy said the problem Obama has is wall street, wrong dumbass, his problem is the economy. Billy said if Obama does not fix wall street he is done and a one term president, which is ridiculous.
How hard is this to understand, if Obama gets the economy turned around people will go back into the market and it will get better when the economy does. Somehow O'Reilly dont understand that. And Obama was elected to fix the economy, not the fat cats on wall street. After what they did to the country, some of them deserve to take a beating, then they will know how the little guy feels. For someone who claims to look out for the little guy, he sure looks out for the big guys a lot.
Then the biased policing the net segment, with the Republican Amanda Carpenter, and of course no Democrat internet cop. Billy and Amanda spent 4 minutes crying about a liberal political ad that tells the truth about Republicans and how Limbaugh is their leader. They linked it to Soros and moveon.org and basically cried about a legal and true political ad. No Republican political ad was smeared, and never is on the Factor.
Next it was Dennis (not funny) Miller, he cried about the earmarks and the Obama policy to let people see the flag draped coffins coming back from war, but only if the family gives the ok. Somehow Billy and Miller had a problem with that, when I think it's a good policy. If the family says ok, what is wrong with honoring the dead, I like the new policy.
Then the worthless waste of tv time new factor segment, What's Your Beef? Huh? A better question is, what's the point? He had Bo Derek on to cry about people having dangerous animals as pets. How in the hell is that news, and what's it doing on a so-called news show. O'Reilly goes from one worthless segment to an even dumber segment, it's crap, and a waste of tv time.
Then the pinheads and patriots garbage, and the stupid e-mails. How this biased right-wing tabloid nonsense passes for a news show, I'll never know. When O'Reilly is not trashing and smearing a 6 week old Democrat president, he's doing tabloid garbage you would expect to see on Nancy Grace, or Geraldo, not a real news show. In O'Reilly world that's a no spin zone, and I'm Ronald Reagan too.
New Poll Shows People Give Obama a Year to 3 Years
By: Steve - March 4, 2009 - 11:30am
O'Reilly and all the Republican idiots say the economy is on Obama now, and they give him 3 to 6 months to fix it. They also blame Obama for the current stock market problems etc. But the American people disagree, which shows what a lying right-wing spin doctor O'Reilly is.
In a new NBC News/WSJ poll, the vast majority of respondents said that Obama shouldn't be blamed for the economy's problems. In fact, 66 percent said it would be at least a year until Obama's policies "are mostly responsible for the country's economic conditions":
When you think about the current economic conditions, do you feel that this is a situation that Barack Obama has inherited or is this a situation his policies are mostly responsible for?
Situation Obama Inherited - 84% say he inherited the problem.
Situation Obama's Policies Mostly Responsible For - Only 8% think the situation is from the Obama policies.
And the #1 answer to when Obama will be responsible is 1 to 2 years, 25%, and 23% said more than 3 years.
Responsible in one to two years - 25%
Responsible in more than three years - 23%
Responsible in two to three years - 18%
Responsible in six months to one year - 13%
And remember this poll was partly done by the right-wing Wall Street Journal newspaper, that even O'Reilly said is an honest newspaper. O'Reilly is so partisan and so biased he only gives Obama 2 to 3 months, or 6 months, depending what time it is. When the vast majority of the American people (66%) understand how bad the problem is, how he inherited it from Bush, and they give him 1 to 3 years to fix the problem.
Only 13% give him 6 months to a year, and I am guessing they are all Republicans like O'Reilly. Because that is insane, all the economic experts say it will take a year to 18 months, including Warren Buffet (who is an advisor to Obama} and only a clueless partisan right-wing fool is not willing to give Obama a year to two years to get the economy turned around. Billy, that's you pal!
And btw, another new WSJ/NBC poll has found a sharp jump in the proportion of Americans (41 percent) who say the nation is "generally headed in the right direction" since President Obama's inauguration. That number is up dramatically from the 26 percent in mid-January. Which is in direct disagreement with O'Reilly and all the Republicans who say Obama is taking the country in the wrong direction.
It shows that O'Reilly and all his right-wing friends are just spin masters, and that they put politics and partisan ideology ahead of what most Americans believe and see. Basically they deny reality for partisan political reasons, lie and spin about Obama, and hope someone believes it. When clearly almost nobody does, because the polls all disagree with O'Reilly, and he claims to look out for the folks, now that's funny.
The Tuesday 3-3-09 O'Reilly/Spin Zone Review
By: Steve - March 4, 2009 - 11:15am
The TPM was called Political Turmoil. Billy implied there is friction between Obama and Pelosi, based on a rumor in a Newsweek story he read. Hey Billy, I thought you said all the media (except FOX) is dishonest, biased, and corrupt, and that nobody should ever believe anything they say. Then you cite a rumor in a Newsweek article and tell us to believe what they say, ok, got it.
Then Billy went on his usual lie filled right-wing spin rant, he said Obama and the Democrats are using code words like social justice and shared sacrifice, and they are code for socialism. I think he's been talking to Glenn Beck too much, Obama is opposed to socialism, and he only plans to do a temporary spending plan to pull the country out of recession, and keep it from going into a depression.
Once the economy turns around Obama will cut a lot of that spending and start paying down the deficit, just like Clinton did. There is no secret socialism plan, and no code word nonsense. All that is right-wing talking points to make Obama look like a socialist, when he's not. They want to smear him so his approval ratings drop, then the Republicans can try to get more of their agenda into the bills that get passed.
And all that Obama Pelosi friction talk is speculation, nobody knows if it's true or not. Billy is speculating based on a Newsweek article from one person. Even though he said he never speculates, and you cant trust the media unless it's FOX. It's all right-wing garbage to make Pelosi look like some far-left nut, because the Republicans all hate her. When Billy talks about a Democrat in Congress, or president Obama you can remember one thing, it's all lies and partisan right-wing spin.
Then O'Reilly had Brit Hume on, during the segment Billy said Obama has 2 or 3 months to get things turned around, wow, 2 weeks ago he said Obama had a year, now it's 2 or 3 months, it's ridiculous. Bush spent 8 years ruining the country and now Obama has 2 or 3 months to fix it, what a fricking joke, does anyone take this clown serious anymore.
later in the segment Billy showed just how crazy he actually is, he said Obama has 6 months, when 2 minutes earlier he said he has 2 to 3 months. Even Brit Hume disagreed, he said Obama has at least a year, and if his approval numbers stay up fairly high, maybe more than a year. Which is a reasonable time, he should get at least a year to 18 months. O'Reilly is so nuts he gives Obama 10 different timetables in one show. Tonight he will probably change it 2 or 3 more times.
Then O'Reilly talked about Republican turmoil, with the Republican Bill Sammon. How is that fair and balanced, he just did the Democrat turmoil segment with Brit Hume. So for the Republican turmoil segment he should have had a Democrat, but that never happened. It was a Republican guest for both segments. They talked about Limbaugh vs Steele, and basically they both agreed Limbaugh is more powerful. That's pretty said, a dumbass radio guy is more powerful than the head of the RNC, and it's true.
Billy admitted the Republican party is in turmoil and they have no leader, except for Limbaugh. But then he made an insane statement, he said the Democratic party is in more turmoil than the Republican party. Is he on drugs, that is just crazy. The Democrats have total control of the House, and a big majority in the Senate, plus Obama is the president, so where is the turmoil, I dont see it.
In the last 2 elections the Democrats won the White House in a landslide 360 to 180 electoral votes, they picked up 50 seats in the House, 12 seats in the Senate (13 when Franken wins) and they have total control. And stupid O'Reilly says they are in turmoil, based on the speculation that two people, Pelosi and Obama have a little friction between them.
When other political analysts say there is no friction, and it's only 2 people anyway. In O'Reilly world friction between 2 people is turmoil in the whole party, even when it's speculation, and we dont even know if it's true. The turmoil is in the Republican party, they are the losers who get killed in all the elections, somehow O'Reilly ignores all that to claim the Democratic party has more turmoil, when that's just insane, and right-wing garbage.
Then Billy had his biased and corrupt right-wing pollster Frank Luntz on, he even called him Dr. Luntz, now that's funny. All you need to know about Frank Luntz is that he is a biased fraud who rigs polls and focus groups to favor Republicans, so nothing he says or does can ever be believed. Just do a google search on him and read about how he is partisan and how he rigs polls and focus groups. He is basically the Dick Morris of pollsters, a total con man, and a fraud.
The next segment was a spring break warning about Mexico, basically it was just an excuse for Billy to run video of young girls on beaches drunk in bikinis. He had a guest on who said most of Mexico is safe, except the border areas, and she was put on as the expert on it. So of course O'Reilly disagreed with everything she said and told her she was nuts. Hey Billy, why even have experts on if you are just gonna tell them they are all wrong.
Then the biased is it legal segment with the 2 Republican legal experts, Megyn Kelly and Lis Wiehl. And of course there is no Democratic legal experts, just the 2 Republicans who all sit around and agree with each other. It's a biased one sided joke, and a total waste of tv time. I believe O'Reilly just does it to give them air time on his #1 rated show, and to get close to 2 young blondes, he probably gets a thrill from it. They cherry pick legal cases right-wingers like to cry about and tak about them, who cares, and what good does it do, none.
Then the last segment was that stupid culture quiz with the two FOX News morons, Steve Doocy and Martha McCallum. They are both morons who can barely get any questions right, and the whole thing is just a massive waste of air time on a so-called cable news show. With all the news out there to report, and the #1 show on cable, this is the garbage O'Reily does with that time.
It's ridiculous, the people need real news, especially now. Instead O'Reilly uses the #1 show in cable news to get personal revenge on Keith Olbermann, report on tabloid garbage, do a stupid culture quiz, snake attacks, spring break, etc. etc. etc. I could list 10 real news stories that came out yesterday and O'Reilly never reported any of them. The Factor is garbage for ratings, and it should not even be called a news show anymore.
Just change the name to The Tabloid Factor already, because when O'Reilly is not spinning out right-wing talking points and lies it's all tabloid crap, all the time. It's 50% Inside Edition, 30% right-wing spin, and 20% actual news analysis. And that 20% is done with 95% Republican guests, so even that is mostly right-wing spin.
The Monday 3-2-09 O'Reilly/Spin Zone Review
By: Steve - March 3, 2009 - 8:15am
The TPM was called Financial Corruption. Billy cried about the stock market dropping again, and he claimed it was partly because wall street does not like what Obama is doing, which is ridiculous. For one thing, he has only been president for about 6 weeks, and the morons at FOX blame Obama every time the Dow goes down, but they never give him credit for when it goes up, so it's just bias, and right-wing propaganda.
O'Reilly said the Obama economic policies are failing, my God man, it's been 6 fricking weeks, and the stimulus money has not even went out yet. What happened to Obama has a year, after 6 fricking weeks you have his policies failing already, before they have even been put in place. O'Reilly is such a lying two faced right-wing jackass it's stunning.
Most of the TPM was used to get personal revenge on GE and Jeffery Immelt. O'Reilly hammered Immelt and GE because Keith Olbermann works for MSNBC and it is owned by GE. Billy said that because GE lowered their dividend payout, after they said they would not, it's corruption, and that is why people are not investing in the market. Which is just total nonsense.
A lot of corporations had to do the same thing becaue they economy has slowed down so much. And Stuart Varney (the Republican from FOX) even told (O'Reilly later in the show) that Immelt did nothing wrong. Billy wants everyone he disagrees with, either investigated by the feds, or put in jail. It's crazy, and it's sad to see someone use their tv news show for personal (and childish) revenge, just because Olbermann tells the truth about him.
Many other corporations have done the same thing, yet O'Reilly never says a word about any of them. He acts like GE is the only corporation in America who has lost stock value, it's a joke, and nothing but revenge for personal reasons. He lies and smears GE to get revenge, and that's pretty sad. Hey Billy, get a grip man, and try reporting some real news.
Then O'Reilly said: and now with another view on the issue here are Stuart Varney and Liz MacDonald, from FOX News. But instead of two other views, they both had the same right-wing views on it as O'Reilly did. No Democrat on to give the other view, just the two FOX stooges. They agreed with pretty much everything O'Reilly said, except Varney said Immelt was not guilty of corruption because the board votes on dividends.
Then it was Obama vs Limbaugh, Billy played a clip of Rahm Emanuel talking about Limabugh on a sunday news show. Rush is a right-wing idiot who would qualify to be called an America hating bad American in O'Reilly world, except he's a Republican and O'Reilly agrees with him. But if he was a Democrat who called for a Republican president to fail, Billy would trash him, and call him a traitor.
Limbaugh does it, and not only does he not say a word about it, he defends him, and supports him. If this is not proof of how biased O'Reilly is, what is. If Limbaugh was a Democrat O'Reilly would rip him to pieces for a month, if not longer, but since he's a Republican he says nothing. Billy even said they were demonizing Rush, when all they did was quote him, and show video of him. Rush even admits it, so how is that demonizing him.
And btw, you know Billy was spinning like a top when he has to lie about it. He said the Limbaugh statement was a reply to what Emanuel said, when he had it backwards. Limbaugh spoke on 2-28-09, the Emanuel interview was on 3-1-09, so he replied to what Rush said.
Then the far right Bernie Goldberg was put on to agree with everything O'Reilly said. And of course, no Democrat on to give the other side, as usual. Billy and Bernie spent 4 minutes spewing out right-wing propaganda with nobody to provide any balance. O'Reilly even asked Bernie if Rush was a threat to Obama, when that is just ridiculous, and it shows how stupid and biased O'Reilly is. Bernie even said no, everyone knows Rush is no threat to Obama, and it's crazy to even ask a question like that.
They are using Rush to show the American people what real republicans are like, there is no threat to Obama, they are using him so how could it be a threat, it's ridiculous. And only a biased right-wing clueless fool would think he was a threat to Obama.
Then Billy reported on the Kansas Governor who got the Health Dept. job, Kathleen Sebelius. He called it a controversial nomination, because she is pro-choice, haha. In O'Reilly world if you are pro-choice that means you support killing babies, so that makes you controversial, even though most of America is pro-choice, including a lot of Republicans.
It's just a stupid argument, this is the land of the free Billy, so women should have the freedom to choose if she wants a kid or not, and guess what, it's legal you moron. Billy tried to smear her by linking her to an abortion doctor, when all he did was donate money to her campaign. Guilt by association again, but only for Democrats. If a Nazi skinhead group gives a Republican campaign money Billy never links them to the Republican.
Juan Williams and Mary K. Ham were on to discuss it, and for once Juan disagreed with O'Reilly. It's about time, the other 90% of the time he agrees with him, and he even admitted he is more conservative than liberal, and he is supposed to be on to give the liberal view, how does that work Billy. And of course Mary K. Ham agreed with O'Reilly, that's how she got on the show, and that's how she stays on the show.
The funny part was when O'Reilly said he is not a pro-life zealot, yeah right, is that why he says people who are pro-choice support killing babies, if that's not a zealot what is. Then he had a doctor on to talk about designer babies, dont care. Then the two right-wing culture warriors were on, and of course no Democrat culture warrior. In O'Reilly world there is no liberal culture, just conservative culture.
Billy cried about the Government paying for condoms for the poor. Which is insane, especially when he cries about poor single mothers getting pregnant. If they get free condoms it reduces the teen pregnancy rate, so it's a good plan. Billy is just opposed to it because he is a far right pro-life wacko, it's all about ideology, not the little money the Government spends to give out condoms.
The hypocrisy is stunning, because O'Reilly said he supports the millions the Government spends to promote marriage. When it's a total waste of money, yet O'Reilly supports that, when it does nothing. But he is oppsoed to the free condoms when it's helps to stop unwanted pregnancies and help to prevent STD's. It's called putting your far right ideology ahead of reality and common sense.
Then the no reality Reality Check. The reports were stupid, as usual, a cop ate pot filled brownies and called 911 to say he was dying, huh? Billy also cried about liberal radio guys mocking Bobby Jindal's voice, then called it racist, and it was. But when Republicans are racist against Obama he says nothing, Obama Waffles, Obama Sock Puppet, Watermelon garden White House photo, the NY Post cartoon comes to mind, all done by Republicans and O'Reilly never said a word, even though the NAACP threatened a boycott of the Post.
A conservative kid spoke at CPAC, and Billy loved it, where was the check, I dont get it. The best one was on the Northern Trust Bank, Billy reported they are giving $2 Billion of the bailout money back after it was reported they had the big party.
Then O'Reilly took credit for getting them to give it back, I guess because he reported on the party, like the zillion other cable news shows also reported! Not to mention TMZ reported it first, yet O'Reilly takes creidt for getting them to give the money back. Which is just insanity, earth to Billy, if you and 50 other cable news shows report something that does not mean you get all the credit, especially when you did not break the story.
Then pinheads and patriots and the stupid e-mails. The usual crap, nothing about the Bush memos being released, and not much real news, the show was 99% right-wing spin and propaganda. It was Billy and 5 Republicans crying and bitching about Obama and smearing everyone liberal, with no Democrats.
And that's a typical show for Billy. All Republican spin, all the time, pretending to be fair and balanced news in a no spin zone.
O'Reilly = Bronze - Beck = Silver in Worlds Worst Persons
By: Steve - March 2, 2009 - 3:15pm
From the friday 2-27-09 Countdown with Keith Olbermann.
OLBERMANN: Time for COUNTDOWN‘s number two story, tonight‘s worst persons in the world.
The bronze to Bill-O the Clown. For the first time since he implied they might have been fixed to make him look bad, he is lying about the ratings again.
O'REILLY: "As Americans become more fearful about the economy and the drastic changes at the federal level, they are increasingly watching Fox News. In fact, at 8:00pm MSNBC has collapsed, down almost 50 percent in the key 25-54 demo since the October run up to the election."
Call Andrea Mackris, Bill is fantasizing again. Compare the 17 weeks since the election to the 17 week run up to the election, we here are down 17 percent and B.O. is down 15 percent. Compare the 17 weeks since the election to the same 17 weeks this time last year, we are up 62 percent since last year and B.O. is only up 40 percent. Seriously, Bill, don‘t try to cook the books. We‘ll make you look stupid every time, like right now.
The runner-up, Glenn Beck. We all laughed the first time he attacked the carbon capture projects in the stimulus package, branding them earmarks, and saying, I don‘t even know what the hell that is. He has done it again, derisively saying, "The spending bill, clean of earmarks, has 800 million dollars for carbon capture projects.'
Glenn, carbon capture projects, that‘s clean coal technology. Last June, you claimed the Democrats, "controlled by the radical environmental special interest groups," were blocking clean coal technology. You support clean coal technology, nit wit.
Rush Limbaugh Confirms my Reporting on Republicans
By: Steve - March 2, 2009 - 11:15am
For weeks, I have been reporting that Republicans in Congress voted no on the Obama stimulus bill for political reasons. They dont care about fixing the economy, they just want to trash Obama and win re-election in their conservative districts. They want Obama to fail so it will hurt him, and the Democratic party politically.
The problem is, none of them will admit it, except Rush Limbaugh, and a couple other Republicans like Delay, Malkin and Santorum. Rush even said it again over the weekend, he said the dirty little secret in the Republican party is that they all want Obama to fail, they just wont say it. This is what Rush Limbaugh said, just yesterday.
Limbaugh: "The dirty little secret ... is that every Republican in this country wants Obama to fail, but none of them have the guts to say so; I am willing to say it"
Then yesterday at CPAC, Limbaugh was supposed to deliver a 20-minute speech. It ended up lasting for 1.5 hours, before a right-wing audience that greeted him like a hero. Rush again defended his controversial comments that he hopes President Obama fails, saying they were "common sense." He also claimed that Democrats had wanted the war in Iraq to fail. The overflow crowd exploded into applause at Rush's remarks.
And btw, Rush is wrong about that. Democrats did not want the war in Iraq to fail, that is right-wing talking points. Some Democrats did not mind if the problems in Iraq made Bush look bad, that's totally different from saying they wanted the U.S. to lose the Iraq war. O'Reilly and Rush both put that garbage out, and it's just not true.
Democrats wanted to win in Iraq, and still do. They were just glad it made Bush look bad, but they all wanted the U.S. to win in Iraq, so dont believe that bullshit you hear from Rush, O'Reilly, Hannity. etc. It's a big difference, and Democrats only opposed Bush after 3 years of screwing everything up. Republicans are saying they want Obama to fail after a month, and he has not screwed anything up to be mad at him yet.
After his speech, CPAC presented Rush with a "Defender of the Constitution" award, which included a document signed by Benjamin Franklin. The presenter then compared Rush to Franklin:
The king of England sat with his advisers, and they read the writings of Ben Franklin. They said, “The colonists will never be successful if they read what he writes.” Just as the king’s successor, who is in the White House, said the other day, that conservatives will never be successful if they listen to Rush Limbaugh. The only way we will be successful is if we listen to Rush Limbaugh!
The crowd again erupted into cheers. Almost every Republican in America wants Obama to fail, for political reasons, and Rush is the only one who has the balls to say it. They all think the same way, they just wont say it. When some on the far-left secretly wanted Bush to fail, but never openly said it, O'Reilly called them un-American, and said they are enemies of the state, and bad Americans.
Yet here we have Rush Limbaugh openly saying he wants Obama to fail, and virtually every Republican agrees with him, yet O'Reilly says nothing. They dont care if the economy gets better, and in fact, they want it to get worse and stay that way so they can win re-election in 2010 and 2012, that's all they care about, and to hell with the people who are suffering, they dont care.
Their plan is to vote no on everything Obama tries to do, then if the economy does not get better they can blame it all on him, even though Bush caused the problem, and Obama is just trying to fix the mess he created. It's all politics folks, and every Republican in the House and Senate thta voted no, should be voted out of office for it. Their plan is to vote no. on everything, even if they support it.
But O'Reilly is silent as a mouse, if Democrats used that plan he would call them traitors, but when Republicans do it he says nothing.
O'Reilly Attacks Political Ad For Simply Telling The Truth
By: Steve - March 1, 2009 - 9:35am
Last friday Billy showed a political ad put out by a progressive group called Americans United for Change, the ad, "Americans Won't Take No For an Answer" is running on tv networks all around the country. The ad simply states that almost every Republican in Congress voted no on the Obama stimulus bill, and they show video of 3 Republican leaders saying no.
The ad is 100% true and 100% accurate, nobody is mis-quoted, and there is no dishonesty in the ad at all. Yet O'Reilly had a problem with it, and he called the people who ran it far-left loons. For simply running an ad that points out the no votes all the Republican party leaders cast on the Obama stimulus bill, and how they all do what Rush Limbaugh wants.
O'REILLY: Listen to this new commercial from some progressive loons:
Americans United for Change ad, "Americans Won't Take No For an Answer":O'REILLY: Well, that's what passes for debate these days on the far left -- running down anyone with whom they disagree. But as Talking Points said last night, President Obama is taking an enormous gamble, one that will affect all our lives. He has audacity, no question. But the outcome is still mostly hope.
An economy in crisis. A president determined to act. But what did congressional Republicans say to President Obama's jobs and recovery plan? [Video: Mitch McConnell] "No." What did they say to 3.5 million jobs? [Video: John Boehner] "No." What did they say to tax cuts for 95 percent of working Americans? [Video: Eric Cantor] "No."
So who are Republican leaders listening to?
[Video of Rush Limbaugh: "I want him to fail."]
Don't you just love it when Democrats attack Republicans for their public positions on policy and it gets slammed by right-wingers like Billy as somehow being too personal, in O'Reilly world they are running down anyone they disagree with. So let me get this straight, simply saying the reason you disagree with them is too much to handle, and that's running them down.
I seem to remember a few months ago (in the presidential election) O'Reilly defended all the dishonest attack ads John McCain ran against Obama. He said they were accurate so they are ok, but now when the left runs an honest attack ad Billy thinks they are unfair. It's bias, hypocrisy, and a double standard by O'Reilly, especially when the ad is accurate, and very true.
What's dishonest in the ad Billy, McConnell, Boehner, and Cantor, all voted no. And they ordered their members to vote no too, then they all did, except for 3 moderate Republican Senators who dont care about getting re-elected, they just did what was best for the country.
Rush Limbaugh said he wants Obama to fail, and he admits it, he even said it again last night at the CPAC convention. So what's wrong with the ad, when it's 100% accurate, what say you?
O'Reilly to Speak at Fund Raiser For Rape Victims
By: Steve - March 1, 2009 - 8:25am
The Newshounds are reporting that Billy is scheduled to speak on March 19th, at a luncheon for the It Happened To Alexa Foundation. This is, an outrage. The Alexa Foundation's mission is to "assist rape victims and their families by easing the financial burden they face while traveling to attend the criminal trial."
O'Reilly, however, has shown his total disregard for rape victims in the following statement he made on the radio factor:
“Now Moore, Jennifer Moore, 18, on her way to college. She was 5-foot-2, 105 pounds, wearing a miniskirt and a halter top with a bare midriff. Now, again, there you go. So every predator in the world is gonna pick that up at two in the morning."
How would you like to have a speaker at your Rape victim fund raiser who says if a woman wears a halter top and a mini skirt at two in the morning she is asking to get raped, do they know what that fool said, I doubt it. Maybe we should let them know.
