The Wednesday 9-30-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - October 1, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Far-Left Influence. As he does every night Billy trashed Obama and claimed the far-left could bring his administration down, why, because they want universial health care. As usual O'Reilly put out some crazy far-right propaganda claiming that if Obama listens to the left it will destroy the country and the Obama administration. Which is just more ridiculous right-wing nonsese. Billy said if Obama listens to the people like Moore Podesta, and Dean Obama will be a 1 term president.
Then O'Reilly had the biased right-wing Dick Morris on to discuss it, and of course no Democrat to provide the balance. Morris called the far-left a disease. And basically said the same thing O'Reilly did, that if Obama listens to the far-left (that elected him btw) it will ruin his presidency. Whats really funny is that when Bush got elected, and the far-right ran his administration, neither O'Reilly or Morris ever had a problem with that. Now they claim that if Obama listens to the left he is done, simply because they hate the left and disagree with everything they want. It's pure right-wing bias and propaganda from O'Reilly and Morris.
I guess they dont understand that when a Democrat gets elected he will do what Democrats want. In reality, I think they do, they just spin everything to the right anyway, to try and hurt Obama politically. Republicans act like they want to work with Obama in a bipartisan way, when everyone knows that is a lie. They just vote no on everything and hope his policies fail, so it hurts Obama politically, then they can use that in the 2010 and 2012 elections. Republicans hope the country fails, so they can gain a political advantage to win back some seats in the House and the Senate. Just ask Rush Limbaugh, he said he wants Obama to fail.
Then Ann Coulter was on, what a joke. Anyone who puts her on is a right-wing idiot, that's you Billy. Billy claims a lot of conservatives are upset Obama is going to try and get the olympics here in America. Even crazy Coulter said she really dont care, but a lot of conservatives are making a big deal about it over nothing. Coulter does agree with O'Reilly 100% that if Obama listens to the left he is done, Billy said it is dangerous to listen to the far-left. But when Bush was run by Chenay and the far-right that was not dangerous to them, and they supported everything the far right had Bush do.
The whole segment was O'Reilly and Coulter trashing everything Obama has been doing. With no Democrats to give the counterpoint, or any balance. It's the usual one sided bias from O'Reilly, with Morris and Coulter, which no real independent journalist would do. Real independent journalists do not go to Dick Morris and Ann Coulter for political analysis. And then on top of that, not have one fricking Democrat on to counter anything they say, which is all right-wing propaganda. Billy asked Coulter what to do about health insurance, but I am not reporting what she said because it's garbage and a waste of time, it's never gonna happen, and nobody cares what Coulter thinks about fricking health insurance. In fact, you are nuts to even ask her about the issue. Look in the mirror Billy, you are an idiot to even put Coulter on the air, and ask her crazy right-wing ass about anything.
More on health care, had Democrat Congressman Luis Gutierrez on to argue for illegal immigrant to get health care, which even I do not support, as do most liberals and most Democrats. O'Reilly has one of 22 far-left loons on to smear all Democrats, when 99% of Democrats oppose health care for illegal immigrants. The 1 Democrat is put on to argue for health care for illegals, when it's a red herring, because it's never going to happen and O'Reilly knows it. He just put this guy on to smear him, and make it look like all liberals are as crazy as this Democratic Congressman. It's a total waste of time, and it was only done for O'Reilly to make a Democrat look bad. I disagree with the Democrat, and no illegals should get health care, just as it is in the bill.
Then Jesse Watters was on to ambush a judge who made a ruling O'Reilly does not like. They ambushed some Judge in Missouri who gave a child molester probation and Billy was outraged. The judge refused to talk to Watters, and walked away, Jesse followed him to his car. They ambushed him at a gas station, and the judge just walked away and refused to talk. Billy had a woman on to discuss it, Cyrilla Bender from the group mothers against child molesters. The judge looks like a fool, and probably made a bad ruling, but O'Reilly was outraged he would not explain to him why he made the ruling he did. When the judge does not have to explain anything to O'Reilly.
Then Dennis Miller was on to talk about the Obama olympics story, and the Hollywood pinheads who are speaking out for Roman Polanski. And as I have said before, I could care less what Dennis Miller has to say about anything. He is just a has been that never was right-wing hack, he's like the Dick Morris of comedians. His opinions are worthless, and he is only on to make jokes about liberals because O'Reilly and his viewers think it's funny. Miller made jokes about Obama, Oprah, Blago, Polanski, Hollywood pinheads, etc. And who fricking cares, nobody but O'Reilly and his crazy right-wing viewers. Billy said give Polanski 5 years, when he is only facing another 30 to 60 days, and a few conservatives even said he should get a year. Billy talked about Palin and her book, and called her an amazing woman, when she is a right-wing nut.
Then the did you see that garbage with Jane Skinner, and O'Reilly cried again about Letterman making Palin jokes, when he never says a fricking word when Letterman does Obama or Biden jokes. Letterman did a top 10 on Palin. It's ridiculous, shut up already. Earth to O'Jackass, Letterman is a comedian, he gets paid to do jokes on a comedy show, and you show your right-wing bias every time you cry about Letterman doing Palin jokes. Billy asked how much SNL and Letterman have damaged Palin, but both Miller and Skinner said not at all, and that Palin actually helped McCain.
I guess he forgot Palin said she even liked the Tina Fey impersonation of her, yet Billy cries like a baby anyway, because he loves Sarah Palin. Even Jane Skinner told O'Reilly to stop worrying about Palin getting picked on, and told O'Reilly not to worry about her so much. And the fact that O'Reilly loves Palin, and defends her so much is 100% proof he is a Republican, and a far right Republican, because nobody likes Palin but far right Republican nuts. Billy used half the segment to cry about comedians making Palin jokes, shut the hell up moron. And they aslo talked for a minute about a bank who raised a womans credit card interest rate to 30% without telling her.
Then pinheads and patriots, and the lame highly edited Factor e-mails. And once again O'Reilly did an entire show without saying one word about the Census worker hanging. It's a week old story and O'Reilly has totally ignored it for partisan political reasons. But he complains when the so-called liberal media ignores news stories for partisan reasons, then he does the very same thing, it's called bias, and hypocrisy.
Jon Stewart Mocks Right-Wing Over Obama School Kids Song By: Steve - September 30, 2009 - 9:50am
Jon Stewart Nails O'Reilly and his right-wing friends for their school children indoctrination nonsense.
The Tuesday 9-29-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 30, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Liberal 1-2 Punch. Billy cried about another tape of kids singing about Obama, that makes 2, yet he called it a national epidemic and indoctrination. It's just ridiculous, now it is TWO schools, and Obama had nothing to do with it. Then he attacked the media for being liberal, cited a pew study that says 32% of them are liberal. He also cried about the attacks on people like him and Beck and claimed it's because of their high ratings. Called it a very dangerous situation. And btw, if 32% of the media is liberal that's not even half, yet O'Reilly claims 80% of the media is liberal. So he reported a pew study that proves he is a liar, because in the past he has said he thinks close to 80% of the media is liberal.
Billy had Leslie Marshall and Lanny Davis on to discuss it. She said the kids singing about Obama was not the norm and that it was not a big deal. Billy said donations from teachers to Democrats are 10 to 1, so they are liberal. Davis agrees with O'Reilly, showing that he is more of a moderate Republicans than a Democrat. He said what the schools did was wrong, but that it is not a national epidemic. Nobody thinks it's a national epidemic but O'Reilly and a few other right-wing loons. She said 2 tapes does not prove indoctrination, then O'Reilly cut her off and went to Lanny. Then Billy cried about the attacks on him, Hannity, Beck, and Limbaugh. But when he is lumped in with Limbaugh he denies he is like him, then he links himself to Limbaugh.
Billy kept asking Lanny why FOX news is attacked more than anyone, he cant understand why. Marshall said it's because he is #1 in the ratings, which is bull, why wont they say he is attacked because he is a right-wing nut, neither Davis or Marshall would say that, because they are cowards who are afraid to tell the truth to O'Reilly's idiotic face. FOX News is attacked because they are biased right-wing partisans who put out nothing but right-wing propaganda, it has nothing to do with ratings. Marshall and Davis are moderates who want to get back on the Factor so they are nice to O'Reilly, and scared to tell him the truth. They should be ashamed to call themselves Democrats, they are sell outs.
Bernie Goldberg. Billy asked Bernie why FOX is attacked so much, and said neither Marshall or Davis would answer it. Goldberg said FOX is attacked because they are conservative, ding, ding, ding, give that man a cupie doll. But Goldberg also said Billy is attacked because he is #1 in the ratings, and that is total bull. Cried about the media ignoring Acorn etc, and used that as evidence of bias, when FOX does the very same thing. Goldberg did admit that some shows on FOX are biased and not fair and balanced, wow, that's the first time I heard that. Billy defended it as opinion programs, got mad and asked Bernie why it was different of the opinion page of a newspaper.
For once Goldberg said something that was true. Billy got mad at him for it. Then O'Reilly defended Beck and Hannity, called Beck an every man. Goldberg trashed the FOX tea party coverage by FOX, O'Reilly said he never saw anyone on FOX biased on the tea party reporting, Goldberg asked Billy if he wanted names, and O'Reilly said no, because then he would have to research it, haha, yeah right. Goldberg said the FOX tea party coverage was dishonest, wow. So once he said that O'Reilly went to the next topic, Dan Rather having his lawsuit dropped. And then the segment was over. If O'Reilly does not understand that FOX is attacked because they have a right-wing bias, then he is just stupid.
Is it legal. Student beat to death in Chicago. Four teens charged. Had Lis Wiehl and Kimberly Guilfoyle on to discuss it. Hey O'Reilly, where is the reporting on the Census worker hanging, you right-wing jackass. This is one reason why you are attacked, for ignoring the Census worker hanging story. Proving you are a partisan hack. Billy asked how it keeps happening and why they dont just flood the area with police, proving how stupid he really is, because they do not have enough cops to watch what ever gang in the country is doing 24/7, my God he is dumb. Billy said flood the zone with police, ok, then they just move on to other areas. then they talked about Roman Polanski again, dont care, it's tabloid trash.
Barack & a Hard Place, Crowley and Colmes. Colmes said Obama did a good thing by fighting for the olympics, the right hates it, why, who fricking knows. Something about spending taxpayer money, and of course crazy Crowley had a problem with it. Colmes daid he can chew gum and walk at the same time, and look at how much money it will bring in if he gets the olympics here. Even O'Reilly said Obama should go. Crowley said the worst thing Obama did was only talk to the Afghanistan General one time, what a joke. He tells Secretary Gates what to say to the Generals, Colmes said it was the chain of Command, and the argument from the right is just ridiculous. General Myers said that is how it works, it's called the chain of command. Billy said Obama was too snooty to talk to his own Generals.
Glenn Beck was on for his regular weekly segment, at your Beck and call. The factor poll said 75% disagree with Beck on McCain. They cried some more about the TWO tapes of school children singing an Obama song. Get a clue morons, it is not indoctrination when it happens at TWO schools. Billy asked if it was an epidemic, and even crazy Beck said no. Earth to right-wing idiots, TWO schools does not an epidemic make. Beck home schools his kids, haha, wow are they gonna be screwed up. Then they talked about Beck getting the key to the city in his home state, claimed he had 7,000 people, but the local media said it was 5,000, and the stadium seats 50,000.
Why would Beck rent out a 50,000 seat stadium, when only 5,000 showed up, and he claimed it was 7,000. Beck claimed the SEIU bused in protesters. Not a word about the city council voting against giving Beck the key to the city 9 to 0, they just ignored all that. Then O'Reilly played some old video of Beck from his young radio days, ummmmmmm, who fricking cares. It was Beck with a monkey and some clown garbage. And finally the torture of watching Beck and O'Reilly together was over, thank God.
Then the great American news quiz with Steve Doocy and Martha MacCallum. The quiz should be called, the great big waste of tv time quiz, with 2 dumbass right-wing idiots that work for FOX, haha. It's a total waste of tv time, and most likely just an excuse to have two FOX News idiots on for ratings and to give them publicity, because it's sure not news.
Then pinheads and patriots and the lame hand picked highly edited e-mails. And remember this folks, those e-mails are hand picked by O'Reilly and his staff, and edited. And I mean edited big time, I have seen e-mails sent to O'Reilly that were 50 words, and when it was read on the air it was maybe 10 words, and all the good stuff was removed, so it was nothing like the original e-mail that was sent to him. So remember that when you see those highly edited e-mails.
More Biased Poll Spin From O'Reilly By: Steve - September 29, 2009 - 9:50am
Once again last night O'Reilly only used the biased Rasmussen poll to claim 41% support the Obama health care plan, while 56% oppose it. What he failed to report is that other polls have different results. The CBS News/New York Times Poll taken 9-23-09 shows that most people support Obama and his health care plan. But O'Reilly does not say a word about that poll, he only mentions the Rasmussen poll that has a known Republican bias. Here is what the CBS News/New York Times Poll says.
Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling health care?
Approve - 47%
Disapprove - 45%
Regardless of how you usually vote, who do you think has better ideas about reforming the health care system: Barack Obama, or the Republicans in Congress?
Barack Obama - 52%
Republicans - 27%
Would you favor or oppose the government offering everyone a government-administered health insurance plan -- something like the Medicare coverage that people 65 and older get -- that would compete with private health insurance plans?
Favor - 65%
Oppose - 26%
As you can see, some polls show support for Obama and his health care plan. But O'Reilly ignores all those polls to only report what the biased Rasmussen polls say. It's called poll cherry picking, to reflect your political views and opinions. O'Reilly finds the one Republican biased poll to report on, that makes it look the worst for Obama, while ignoring what all the other polls say.
Proving that he is a biased Republican, and proving that he is a dishonest journalist for not showing that other polls have the majority of the people in favor of the Obama plan. A real journalist would show the results of at least 3 or 4 polls, so the people can see there is a difference, depending on what poll you report on. And btw, O'Reilly claims to be a nonpartisan independent, but would a nonpartisan independent only report the biased right-wing Rasmussen polls, while ignoring all the other polls.
Update - 9:22pm -- One more thing O'Reilly fails to mention is that the majority of Democrats and Independents support the Obama health care plan, while Republicans are the only group with a majority that is opposed to it. According to the latest Kaiser Health Tracking Poll, Democrats are in favor of tackling health care now (77%), while most Republicans are opposed (63%) and independents are also in favor by a small margin (51% in favor 44% opposed).
Fifty-seven percent of the public -- including 56% of independents -- say the GOP is opposing reform plans more for political reasons than because they think reform will be bad for the country. O'Reilly never mentions any of this information, he just dishonestly reports the Rasmussen numbers for opposing or supporting it.
The Monday 9-28-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 29, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Leadership Test. And once again O'Reilly used the biased Rasmussen poll to say the Obama job approval numbers are dropping. Billy talked about Iran and their missile test etc. Then as usual O'Reilly implied Obama is a weak leader, and basically used the entire TPM to smear Obama for everything he is doing. O'Reilly also trashed Obama for only talking to the General in charge of Afghanistan one time. Which is just ridiculous, the General is in Afghanistan, not Washington, and the Secretary of Defense Gates talks to the Generals, not the president.
The same as it was under Bush, O'Reilly just used it to smear Obama when no president talks to Generals, the Sec. of Defense does, and that is part of his job. O'Reilly is the only guy making a big deal of it, because he is a partisan hack who smears Obama with every right-wing nonsense propaganda he can. Then O'Reilly claims he is fair to Obama, when he does the very same thing Hannnity does. The entire show is an hour long attack on Obama every night, with 95% right-wing guests. If that's being fair, I'd sure hate to see what's not being fair.
Then O'Reilly had John McCain on to continue the Obama smearfest. Billy asked McCain if he went wrong anywhere, and McCain said he agreed with everything O'Reilly said. Wow, what a shocker, a Republican agrees with O'Reilly, not. They both sat there and trashed Obama over how he is handling Iran and Afghanistan, even after O'Reilly asked McCain what he would do, and McCain said there are no good options. So McCain had no answer, and could not say what he would do differently, yet they trashed Obama anyway. It was just an insane one sided biased right-wing propaganda segment, with no Democrats to provide any balance.
Billy asked McCain if he would support a Naval blockade on Iran, McCain said not now, but he would leave it on the table as an option in the future. McCain also said he would send the 40,000 troops to Afghanistan. And what's funny is they hammer Obama for not sending the troops, when he has not even decided if he will or not yet. Hey right-wing a-holes, why dont you wait to criticize Obama for not doing something, until after he makes a decision. If a Democrat did that to Bush O'Reilly would rip them to pieces, but then he does it with McCain and all the other right-wing nuts. Then at the end of the segment O'Reilly kissed McCain's ass and said he was right on Iraq. Ummmmm, wrong, they did not find any WMD's, and almost everyone agrees the Iraq war was a mistake.
And let me make a note here, the O'Reilly Factor has become the attack Obama for everything Factor. Every night it's an hour of nothing but non-stop attacks on Obama by 95% Republican guests. But as a person who has watched the Factor every single night for 8 years now, I can tell you that it was the exact opposite when Bush was the president. When Bush was in office, O'Reilly spent the entire show using those 95% Republican guests to praise Bush and defend everything he did. Now he uses those same right-wing guests to smear and lie about Obama for an hour every night. Then once in a while he has a Democrat on to make it look good. then he wonders why Obama hates him and FOX News, I mean it's obvious.
The next segment was with the Mexican spokesman Juan Hernandez, he was on to discuss illegal immigration and the Obama health care plan. Billy cried about 22 Democratic Congressman who signed a letter calling for everyone to get health care, even illegal immigrants. When that is ridiculous because it's never gonna happen, and he knows it. Obama has even said he will not sign a bill that gives health care to anyone who is not legal. Then we find out why O'Reilly really did this segment. O'Reilly made the point that if Obama does not give health care to illegal Mexicans the legal Mexicans will all be mad, and not vote for him in 2012. So he used the whole segment to make Mexicans mad at Obama. It was just a clever way to smear Obama with the Mexicans, by pointing out he will not give health care to the illegals.
Then O'Reilly did another segment on the school children (at one school in the whole country) who sang the Obama song. Billy said it has caused a major outrage in the country, ummmmm, wrong. It's a non-story with everyone, except a few right-wing idiots like O'Reilly, Hannity, Malkin, Rush, etc. O'Reilly called it indoctrination, again, when it only happened at one school, during black history month, for the first black president ever. It's flat out insane to call that indoctrination, especially when it only happened at one fricking school.
Billy even played the video of the kids singing again, and claimed it has caused outrage across the nation, which is just laughable. Right-wing nuts are the only people who care, or talk about it, with everyone else it's not even a story. Juan Williams and Mary K. Ham were on to discuss it. And what a shocker, they both agreed with O'Reilly that it is indoctrination. Proving that they are just crazy right-wing idiots like O'Reilly. It would only be indoctrination if Obama ordered them to do it, and it was done at every school in America. One class of kids singing an Obama song at one school is not indoctrination, and it's not even close. Only total right-wing fools would even think it is.
Then O'Reilly had two guests on to discuss the tabloid garbage story about Roman Polanski being arrested for a chile rape he committed 32 years ago in the 70's. This is tabloid crap Geraldo should be reporting, and a total waste of tv time on a so-called real news show.
The next segment was almost as ridiculous. Billy had Brit Hume on to smear and lie some more about Obama. O'Reilly once again cited the biased Rasmussen poll to claim the Obama approval ratings are dropping. When they have not dropped in a month, on July 29th Gallup had Obama at 52% job approval, today he is at 51%, that's a 1 point drop in 2 fricking months. So there is no big drop as O'Reilly claimed, the Obama job approval ratings are holding steady at 51 or 52 percent, and have for 2 months now.
Once again O'Reilly used the segment to smear Obama with a biased Rasmussen poll, and used the Republican Brit Hume to do it, and of course no Democrat guest to provide any balance. And btw, Obama is at 49% approval in the Rasmussen poll, so there is no big drop there either, O'Reilly just said there was. It's all lies, and dont just believe me, go to Gallup.com and look for yourself. It was a biased one sided smear segment, to make it look like the Obama approval numbers have crashed over the last few weeks, when in reality his numbers are holding steady around 51%, and have for the last two months.
The dishonest partisan Brit Hume even said the reason the Obama approval numbers are crashing, is because he is putting liberal policies in place and the people oppose them. But if that is true how does he still have a 51% job approval. And btw, Obama is a liberal, he ran as a liberal, and he was elected to put liberal policies in place after 8 years of Bush that damn near ruined the country. I guess they forgot all that already. And if you look at the polls the majority of people support almost everything Obama is doing.
Not to mention O'Reilly said he would give Obama a year before he attacked him, and here we are 8 months later and he is attacking everything he does already. Near the end of the ridiculous biased one sided segment, O'Reilly said the perception of Obama is that he is not in control. Which is just more right-wing propaganda, because only partisan right-wing idiots who hate Obama are saying that. So much for only dealing in the facts, that is pure speculation, and his opinion. O'Reilly just showed again what a total right-wing partisan he is with that biased spin garbage.
The last segment was the O'Reilly reality check segment, with no reality and almost no checks. One reality check was about a new Sarah Palin doll, no check, he just reported there is a Sarah Palin doll. That's not a reality check. Another so-called reality check was video of Barney Frank on Jay Leno making a Sarah Palin joke, no check, just video of the joke. Billy also played video of the new girl on SNL accidently dropping the f-bomb, no check, just video of her doing it. And one check was 138 pics of Obama taken at a museum, some guy on the net made a slideshow of them, Billy showed a clip, and that was it, no check.
The whole segment is ridiculous, it's not even a reality check. There are no reality checks, it's just O'Reilly playing video clips of things, which is not a reality check on anything. Then pinheads and patriots and the e-mails. And btw, to this day O'Reilly has still not said one word about the Census worker murder, he has totally ignored the entire story for partisan political reasons. But he has plenty of time to waste an entire segment on the 32 year old Roman Polanski child rape case, even though the victim does not want to go through a trial.
O'Reilly Says School Kids Are Being Indoctrinated By: Steve - September 28, 2009 - 11:30am
Proving he has no clue what indoctrination means, or he is lying on purpose to make Obama look bad, or both. Last week O'Reilly talked about kids at a school singing a song about president Obama, and of course he called it indoctrination. Even though it was only at one school in one class, in all of America. I wonder if O'Reilly even knows what indoctirnation is, I doubt it.
It would only be indoctirnation if the Obama administration sent an e-mail to every school in the country, telling the teachers to force the kids to sing a song about Obama. And that never happened, Obama had nothing to do with it, the song was only at one school in one class. And btw, the other people calling it indoctrination, Beck, Hannity, and Malkin. All far right Republicans, so O'Reilly is in bed with them to spread this ridiculous right-wing propaganda. Here is a partial transcript of what was said last week:
O'REILLY: Here now the culture warriors "FOX & FRIENDS" co-anchor Gretchen Carlson and FOX News analyst Margaret Hoover. Okay, these cute little kids singing a cute little song, what do you think?
MARGARET HOOVER, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: Who doesn't want equal work for equal pay? Look, no, all of us I think would feel more comfortable if we also knew that every time a new president was elected, that means George W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, they sing a song.
O'REILLY: We have mm, mm, mm.
HOOVER: As long as we always sing a song for every president.
GRETCHEN CARLSON, CO-HOST FOX & FRIENDS: Okay, well, let's face this fact. They have very good rhythm. However, can you imagine during patriotic week that they actually would have made up a song for George W. Bush?
CARLSON: No way.
WRONG! School kids did sing a song about Bush you fricking liars. In 2006 school children from Gulf Coast states serenaded First Lady Laura Bush with a song praising the President, for his response to, of all things, Hurricane Katrina. In April 2006, president Bush was treated with lyrics that extolled the administration. So they did sing a song to Bush, you lying right-wing hypocrites.
CARLSON: And here's what really gets me about this whole thing. Apparently this was during Black America week. But the point of the matter is, this is exactly what some people were concerned about.
CARLSON: When the president was going to speak to all of our school children.
O'REILLY: Right. Is it indoctrination or an enthusiasm for the sitting president?
CARLSON: I don't know, but you could argue it absolutely both ways. And here's the other thing. We go all the way into the Supreme Court to make sure we can't say word "God" at school and nobody has a problem with this?
O'REILLY: What do you say indoctrination or just honoring a sitting president?
HOOVER: I think the intent is honoring a sitting president. I think if you see this in a very widespread way, if we were seeing this all across the country in every single schoolhouse, then there's need to be concern. Look, what I said very early on.
O'REILLY: No, I think that's indoctrination. I want to tell your daughter. I think that's absolutely indoctrination. I think it's absolutely indoctrination. I think the teachers wanted it to be indoctrination. The kids don't have any idea, but that's what indoctrination is.
HOOVER: There's another element to this that we're not talking about. It's that Barack Obama when he was elected because he is the first African-American and because he is the first of his generation to be the president, he represents a transformational change in this country, which a lot of people are excited about regardless of his politics.
O'REILLY: All right. It is indoctrinational, ladies. But just so you know, and you can take that home with you tonight.
And take this home with you Billy, you are a ridiculous right-wing propagandist. Go look up indoctrination and find out what is means, because you have no clue, you just parrot the right-wing talking points from Beck, Hannity, and Malkin, without knowing what the hell you are talking about.
The Massive Law Hypocrisy From Bill O'Reilly By: Steve - September 28, 2009 - 9:40am
Over the years O'Reilly has said over and over that in a civilized society you must follow the laws or you have chaos. He has argued a hundred times to mostly liberals that the laws must be obeyed, and he claims to support the rule of law. When a Democratic Senator was accused of getting a special home loan deal, O'Reilly said he must be investigated because it could be illegal.
When a Democrat breaks any law, no matter how small, O'Reilly pulls the rule of law card and says they must be investigated and prosecuted. That is usually followed by a speech to a Democrat guest where Billy explains how me must obey the laws.
But when Republicans break laws it's a whole different story for O'Reilly, suddenly it's ok and they should not be investigated or prosecuted. Last week O'Reilly had Congressman Barney Frank on to talk about politics and Acorn. Frank admitted he was in favor of cutting off ACORNís funding, but would have preferred it not be a legislative decision -- because of a Constitutional provision which prohibits singling people out -- but rather a decision on the part of the Obama Administration.
O'Reilly brought it back to Giles and O'Keefe, saying, "Don't you admire them? Isn't this what we should be, all citizen watchdogs, whistleblowers on corruption?"
Frank said, "There's a problem because they may have violated Maryland law. Even if people are doing something good you shouldn't violate the law."
O'Reilly: "Well, nobody cares about the Maryland wiretap law."
Frank: "What an outrageous statement for you to make. I care about the law, I'm an elected official."
O'Reilly: "Well, you're a little eccentric."
So now it's eccentric to care about laws, what a joke.
Frank: "I admire the impulse to stop corruption, but I do not want to condone violations of the law, and when you say, who cares about the Maryland law, I think you're being irresponsible."
It must be nice to live in a world where you can cherry-pick the laws you want to follow, and the laws you think can be legitimately broken. In the world of Bill O'Reilly, the ends justify the means, but only if breaking the law is done by a Republican against a Democrat. If a Democrat jaywalks O'Reilly wants them investigated and prosecuted, and says the laws must be followed.
O'Reilly spent years talking about the law and the Clinton pardon of Marc Rich for tax evasion. Saying the justice department should investigate it because we must follow the laws, even though it's a 9 year old story, and a president can pardon anyone he wants. Notice that O'Reilly did not call for an investigation on anyone Bush pardoned. So what we have is massive hypocrisy, and massive double standards.
And btw, this is 100% proof O'Reilly is a Republican. There is no doubt anymore, so the next time you hear O'Reilly say he is a nonpartisan independent, you will know he is a liar, as if you dont know already.
O'Reilly & Bachmann Both Ignoring Census Worker Murder By: Steve - September 27, 2009 - 10:00am
On September 23rd, Bill Sparkman, a 51-year old Census worker was hanged to death in Kentucky, he was found naked and gagged, his hands and feet bound with duct tape. A witness reports Sparkman also had duct tape over his eyes. The word "fed" was scrawled on his chest in a felt-tip pen, and his Census ID was found taped to his head and shoulder area.
Neither Bill O'Reilly or Michele Bachmann will report on or discuss the Census worker murder story. O'Reilly has totally ignored the story and refused to say one word about it, even though he does an is it legal segment every week where they discuss murders, etc. And Bachmann will not comment on it either.
Michele Bachmann (R-MN) was in St. Louis, MO Friday for the right-wing How to Take Back America Conference, which features panels such as "How to stop feminist and gay attacks on the military" and "How to recognize living under Nazis & Communists." The Washington Independent's Dave Weigel attended the conference and attempted to catch up with Bachmann to ask her about the murdered Census worker in Kentucky, but she evaded his question:
After the speech, Bachmann had only a few minutes to sign autographs and collect a stack of CDs and books from fans who'd followed her into the lobby. I caught up to her as she headed outside and asked if she had any response to the murder of a Kentucky census worker, having noticed that the Census, a constant target for Bachmann, did not figure into her speech. Bachmann recoiled a little at the question and turned to enter her limo.
"Thank you so much!" she said.
Over the summer, Michele Bachmann (R-MN) waged a high-profile, wildly-dishonest campaign against the Census. The Minnesota congresswoman said she was so worried about the threat of the government asking "very intricate questions" and collecting information that she would illegally refuse to fill out the form. "They will be in charge of going door to door and collecting data from the American public," she said. "This is very concerning." She repeatedly used fear-mongering rhetoric against the Census.
Bachmann's irrational diatribes about scary Census workers quickly spawned a right-wing movement. During an interview with Bachmann, Glenn Beck said, "Ok, so let me talk about the Census because there's a lot of people that are concerned with it because they don't want to fill it out, they're not comfortable with ACORN members coming to find out all this information, they don't want to give the government all this kind of information."
Conservative Neal Boortz told a caller, "Most of the rest of the Census information is designed to help the government steal from you in order to pass off your property to the moochers. They're looters." Boortz urged his listeners to resist the Census workers. "If somebody comes to my -- if a burglar came to your house, are you going to show him where the silverware is?" he asked. "Maybe you will if he pulls out a gun."
O'Reilly has even denied that anything Republicans in Congress, or what him and Beck say leads to any violence, then they ignore a murder, which is just more proof they know it's true. If they did not think they were partly to blame, they would report it and discuss it. Instead they ignore it and refuse to even talk about it. But if Democrats and Keith Olbermann had trashed the Census, and then a Census worker was killed, O'Reilly would be all over that story for weeks, if not months.
The Friday 9-25-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 26, 2009 - 10:10am
The TPM was called Iran Exposed. O'Reilly talked about Iran's secret nuke plant and Obama's speech exposing it. Billy said the world must confront the Iranian terrorists, called it a terrible situation, and called for Obama to put sanctions and a Naval blockade on them. Thank you Mr. obvious, and btw, nobody supports a Naval blockade, not even Karl Rove, because under International Law it would be considered an act of war. Proving that O'Reilly is a far far right neo-con idiot. Remember this is the same guy who said bomb it all and let them eat sand.
Back in 2001 O'Reilly said this about Afghanistan and Libya:
O'REILLY: The U.S. should bomb the Afghan infrastructure to rubble -- the airport, the power plants, their water facilities, and the roads. This is a very primitive country. And taking out their ability to exist day to day will not be hard. Remember, the people of any country are ultimately responsible for the government they have.
If they don't rise up against this criminal government, they starve, period. If Libya's Moammar Khadafy does not relinquish power and go into exile, we bomb his oil facilities, all of them. And we mine the harbor in Tripoli. Nothing goes in, nothing goes out. We also destroy all the airports in Libya. Let them eat sand.
The Geneva Conventions are very clear that "starvation of civilians as a method of warfare is prohibited." They specify that "objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population," including water and food supplies, are not legal military targets. Violating these strictures, which are legally binding on the U.S. would constitute a war crime, and might be considered a crime against humanity.
If actually carried out, the proposals made by O'Reilly would certainly result in civilian deaths totaling in the millions. And suggesting that killing large numbers of civilians is an acceptable political strategy only legitimizes the logic of terrorism. And yet, O'Reilly has no problem with it, proving he is a right-wing lunatic.
Then O'Reilly had Karl Rove on to discuss it. The two of them trashed Obama and said he is not being tough enough. While ignoring the fact that all this stuff happened when Bush was the president, that he was tough on all of them, and look what it got us, the mess we have now. I just love how all this happened under Bush, the secret nuke plant, etc. then Obama gets in office and they blame it all on him, when Bush did nothing for 8 years and he should get the blame. I guess they forgot Bush was the president for the last 8 years, and that Obama is just trying to fix all the things he screwed up.
O'Reilly repeated his calls for Obama to put a Naval blockade on Iran and Rove said no, because it would be considered an act of war. All the experts say we should not do a blockade, but of course crazy O'Reilly calls for one anyway. Why, because he does not think sanctions will work. Earth to O'Reilly, how do you know until you try it, dumbass. Not to mention, I thought you said the country is bankrupt and we can not afford any more spending. So how do we start a 3rd war with Iran, when we can not even afford the two wars we are fighting now in Iraq and Afghanistan. What's really funny is O'Reilly says we are broke and the Government must stop the spending, then he calls for a war with Iran, which would cost hundreds of Billions, what an idiot. And if you can avoid a war, what's wrong with trying sanctions.
That kind of crazy thinking is why we should never listen to these right-wing nuts like O'Reilly on anything. Then O'Reilly had Dr. Marc Lamont Hill on to discuss it. Billy asked him if he would support military action against Iran, Hill said yes, but only after we try the sanctions and only as a last resort. Which is what 99% of the people think, even Karl Rove. Then O'Reilly said how long would you give the sanctions to work, Hill said 3 to 6 months, and O'Reilly hated that answer. Billy said sanctions will not work because the other big countries will not go along with them, and 3 to 6 months is too long to wait before we attack them. Wow is he one sick war mongering puppy.
Dr. Hill said Obama has a deal with these other countries, and that's why he called Iran out publicly. O'Reilly said maybe, maybe not. Proving he is a right-wing idiot, because there is no way Obama would have called Iran out publicly without a deal in place. Then O'Reilly called for a Naval blockade again and Hill told him that was crazy. O'Reilly said Obama needs to do more sable rattling and send some Navy ships to the area for the blockade, then Dr. Hill laughed at him it was so ridiculous. Nobody except O'Reilly is calling for a Naval blockade, not even the far right Karl Rove, which proves what a giant idiot O'Reilly is.
Then O'Reilly had two worthless segments in a row, he had Geraldo on to do an entire segment about Acorn. And he had a muslim woman Edina Lekovic on to discuss the image problem muslims have, that they are seen as terrorists. They talked about the muslim rally in D.C. and Billy had some advice for her. He said muslims need to speak out against terrorism, because he has not seen it. She said she does speak out against terrorism, and that other muslims do it all the time. Billy said he never saw it, so in his world that means it never happened, haha. Proving once again that O'Reilly is just an ego maniac fool, as if he dont see it, then it never happened, that's just insanity. She even said if he would have her on the Factor every night she would speak out against it, and if the media would put her on she would speak out against terrorism. Billy said that's not enough, according to him of course.
The next segment was the crazy far right nasal nose voice Laura Ingraham, and of course she trashed the muslims and Obama and everything not Republican. Both Ingraham and O'Reilly agreed that muslims do not speak out enough against terrorism. Ingraham trashed Obama over Iran, and trashed Dr. Hill for what he said. When the situation in Iran is Bush's fault, and Dr. Hill was exactly right. Ingraham is just like O'Reilly, she wants to bomb everyone and start more wars with money we dont have. Billy asked crazy Ingraham if the sanctions do not work will he have the stones to attack Iran, and of course Ingraham said no, because according to her Obama is too weak.
Hey ummmmmm, Billy. What happened to that no speculation rule, that's all speculation, with no facts to back up any of it. Unless you two right-wing idiots can see into the future you have no idea if the sanctions will work or not, and you sure as hell have no idea if Obama has the stones to attack Iran. It's all just right-wing speculation to make Obama look bad, which they never would have done if a Republican was president, and he was doing the exact same thing. It's the same as when Rove said Bush should speak out to the people every day when he was president, but now that a Democrat is president Rove says he should shut up and that he is overexposed. It's right-wing hypocrisy, and double standards. They attack Obama for the same things Bush did, but they praised him for it, while attacking Obama for it, proving they are partisan Republican fools.
Then the dumbest thing of the week segment with Juliet Huddy and Greg Gutfeld. They all pick a dumb video, and my God is this segment lame. It's stupid, and not news. Gutfeld picked a video of Hugo Chavez saying Sean Penn told him people at FOX News are stupid, Gutfeld said it was dumb, when it's true. Huddy picked a baby dancing video that got a million hits, what was dumb is her pick, who cares, and how is it dumb. O'Reilly picked the Kadafi speech at the U.N. And here is my pick, that whole segment was the dumbest thing of the week. It's stupid, not news, and maybe the dumbest segment O'Reilly does, the body language segment might be the only one that's worse.
Then pinheads and patriots and the e-mails. And btw, O'Reilly has still not said one word about the Census worker being hanged with the word FED wrote across his chest. In O'Reillyworld the hanging did not happen, so he ignores it, because it makes Republicans look bad after a lot of them spoke out against the Census, and made crazy Glenn Beck type claims that Obama is using the Census for partisan reasons. O'Reilly claims to be a nonpartisan independent journalist, then he ignores that entire story for partisan political reasons. That's not journalism, it's bias.
Article Showing Chris Wallace Is A Joke By: Steve - September 25, 2009 - 1:40pm
I saw a great article today about Chris Wallace that everyone should read, including Bill O'Reilly. It shows how biased Wallace is, and how he is irrelevant in the news business. And btw, O'Reilly told Wallace Obama should have done his highly rated Sunday FOX news show. Except it is not highly rated, it's dead last in the ratings with barely a million viewers a week, and some weeks it has less than a million viewers.
How Fox's Chris Wallace Became Irrelevant
by Eric Boehlert
You think the Obama White House hit a nerve when it purposefully left Fox News Sunday off the president's generous list of Sunday talk-show appearances?
The subsequent whining and childish name-calling from Fox News Sunday's Chris Wallace became incessant and, of course, revealed more about the bitter and bruised host than it did the White House. No doubt the pity party that the thin-skinned journalist threw for himself in the wake of the embarrassing snub was genuine. But it went on for so many days and became so consuming that it seemed there was more to it than Wallace being forced to watch the Obama newsmaking parade from the sidelines.
I think the slow-motion temper tantrum perhaps reflected Wallace's larger realization that his days of being taken seriously as a journalist are fading and that he can no longer be associated with the collectively unhinged Fox News family and maintain any dignity in the process. (Wallace's Sunday program airs on Fox TV, the entertainment sister to Fox News.)
Wallace realizes his days of having it both ways -- of being able to cash Rupert Murdoch's annual seven-figure checks without being tarred by Fox News' unique brand of idiocy -- are over, that the jig is up. Not only does the White House not care about Wallace's perennially last-place Sunday show, which functions as an in-house RNC broadcast and is watched by about as many people, but there's little indication that Wallace is still viewed as an important player within the Beltway press crowd.
His nonentity status has been hastened by Fox TV's unprecedented decision this year to essentially ban the president of the United States from its prime-time broadcasting, to refuse to carry not only nighttime presidential press conferences, but even the president's recent address to a joint-session of Congress. (Question: Will Fox TV air next year's State of the Union address? I have my doubts.)
In the past, Wallace starred in those types of telecasts. But no more. With Fox TV's entire national "news" operation now consisting of a last-place, 60-minute Sunday morning talk show, Wallace has been relegated to the sidelines.
It's every celebrity journalist's worst nightmare, and it's come true for Chris Wallace: He's become irrelevant. And that's a nasty career tumble for somebody once pegged as a possible nightly news anchor.
Dr. Jeremy Levitt, a law professor at Florida University, confronted Bill O'Reilly last night over Fox News role in fomenting racial tensions regarding President Obama. Specifically Dr. Levitt cited Glenn Beck and the network's role in encouraging the 9/12 protests, which featured an assortment of racist signs.
O'Reilly dismissed the racist right-wing attacks on Obama as part of a fringe group, insisting that an equivalent group exists on the left. He also stated that 10 percent of the nation is racist. Dr. Levitt would not let up, however, telling O'Reilly that "Fox News and the far right have a race deck, and they play the ace of spades every day."
The 10 percent number from O'Reilly is just made up, and he made it up, a FOX poll showed that 20% admitted to being racist towards Obama, but O'Reilly said he dont believe that, then made up the 10 percent number as what he believes it really is. Earth to O'Reilly, even at 10% that's 30 million people.
Not to mention, in the past O'Reilly has denied there is any racism against Obama at the protests, when Professor Levitt showed there was. O'Reilly admits it is 10 percent, when the polls show it's 20 percent, and that number is most likely higher because a lot of people will not admit to being racist, even in polls.
Watch The Video, it's great, the Professor was informed with facts, and O'Reilly had nothing.
O'Reilly Ignoring Census Worker Hanging Story By: Steve - September 25, 2009 - 9:30am
The AP is reporting that Bill Sparkman, a 51-year-old part-time Census field worker and occasional teacher, was found hanged to death in Kentucky with the word "fed" scrawled on his chest. Investigators are still trying to determine the motive, but "law enforcement officers have told the agency the matter is an apparent murder."
"Our job is to determine if there was foul play involved -- and that's part of the investigation -- and if there was foul play involved, whether that is related to his employment as a census worker," said FBI spokesman David Beyer.
This story broke 2 days ago on 9-23-09 and to this day O'Reilly has not said one word about it. Even though he has said nothing Republicans do would lead to violence, which is ignoring the story, and ignoring the fact that many Republicans have spoke out against the Census, especially Michele Bachmann who told people the Census is an Obama plot to turn the country liberal, and asked people to break the law and refuse to take the Census.
O'Reilly is ignoring the story for political reasons, because you can bet the farm if a Democrat had spoke out against the Census, then a Census worker was found hanged, O'Reilly would be all over that story. He is ignoring it because it makes Republicans look bad, which is exactly what he complained about the rest of the media doing. Making O'Reilly the king of hypocrisy, and double standards.
O'Reilly and Goldberg both complained that the rest of the media ignores news stories like Acorn for partisan political reasons, then they ignore the Census worker being hanged story for partisan political reasons. So they do the exact same thing they complained about.
The Thursday 9-24-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 25, 2009 - 9:20am
The TPM was called Global Challenges. Billy said the plans Obama has for the world are good, but it's all talk because the other countries are not going to go along with them. Wow, O'Reilly can now see into the future, so much for no speculating. Then O'Reilly gave Obama a neo-con right-wing speech on what he should do about Iran, Afghanistan, etc. Like Obama is going to listen to his crazy right-wing ass. O'Reilly ended by once again calling for Obama to send the 40,000 troops to Afghanistan. As usual it was a lecture to Obama on what he is doing wrong, and what he should do, according to Bill O'Reilly.
Then Billy (neo-con) O'Reilly had two more right-wing nuts on, Col. Ralph Peters and Col. David Hunt, the two stooges. They are both partisan right-wing neo-con fools that hate Obama and everything he is doing. And what a shocker, no Democrats on to discuss it. Billy asked them if the U.N. sanctions Obama called for on Iran will work. And of course he said no, no, no. Peters said everything Obama is doing is wrong, and his puppet Col. Hunt agreed with every word he said. So they can predict the future too, he Billy, what happened to the I only deal in the facts no speculation stuff. They just speculated that the sanctions will not work.
Col. Crazy #1 Hunt said Israel will not bomb Iran, and Col. Crazy #2 Peters said they might. Billy said he is not sure what they will do, then he said Obama must send the troops to Afghanistan, and asked Peters if he agrees. Peters said even if he does it wont make a difference, because Obama does not know what he is doing, yeah like these two idiots do. Watching this nonsense is like watching a comedy skit on MadTV. It's funny to watch O'Reilly the cable news host, and the two retired lunatics trying to tell Obama what to do, when they have no idea what the other world leaders are saying, or what the situation is, or what Obama plans to do. And not one Democrat or foreign policy expert to give the counterpoint, just a 3 way Republican circle jerk.
Then O'Reilly had Megyn Kelly on to talk about some lawsuits, they discussed the muslim girls lawsuit against Abercrombie & Fitch over her head scarf, Kelly said she might win. But they did spend 2 minutes on that garbage, when 30 seconds would have been enough. They also talked about the John Travolta testimony, for maybe 30 seconds, not much to report. They they talked about the two actors who filed a lawsuit against gawker.com over a nude video of them. And of course Billy played part of the video with their sexy bits blurred out. Billy sure loves the sexy video, it's good for ratings.
The next segment was with the two Republican culture warriors, Margaret Hoover and Gretchen Carlson. Billy had been teasing this sexy breast cancer commercial and showing clips throughout the entire show saying that some people are outraged over it, and think it's exploiting the big boob girl used in the ad. O'Reilly gave a viewer warning, but after he had already runs clips from it at least twice that I saw myself, dumbass. After the viewer warning he ran almost all of the ad, it shows a big boob girl in a bikini by a pool, and they zoom in on her breasts.
Billy was outraged and asked the culture warriors what they thought of it. And to his surprise both culture warriors said they had no problem with it. Billy tried to convince them it was wrong and exploiting the girl, and they both disagreed. Showing just how much of an old right-wing leave it to beaver fool O'Reilly is. He still thinks leave it to beaver in on tv, and it's 1950. Earth to Ward Cleaver, it's a fricking girl in a bikini doing a breast cancer ad, how could anyone in their right mind have a problem with it. As Hoover pointed out, it's not porn, and it's no more than you see on any beach in the country, and then she laughed at O'Reilly for having a problem with it. In fact, I think O'Reilly lied about having a problem with it, I think he just did the segment so he could show the sexy video for ratings. But if he was really upset, he is a total fool.
Then O'Reilly had a segment on racism against Obama, he quoted an article written by Professor Jeremy Levitt from Florida. Professor Levitt said there is racism against Obama, and O'Reilly had him on the show to discuss it. Billy asked him why he thinks there is racism against Obama, and the Professor was ready, he listed 6 or 8 examples of racism. Then O'Reilly came up with some lame argument that if that's racism then everything is racism, or something crazy like that. I am not sure what the hell he was saying, but I know it did not make sense, and the Professor called his argument ridiculous. I know Levitt nailed O'Reilly good, and tomorrow I hope to have the transcript so I can show everyone exactly what was said. He even said O'Reilly and FOX play the race card, and that card is the ace of spades, and then O'Reilly got mad.
Then O'Reilly had Glenn Beck on to discuss his McCain comment that he would have been worse than Obama. Beck went into some insane argument that made no sense as usual, and Billy joked about Beck killing the fake frog on his show, the usual insanity. I dont even report it anymore because Beck is a right-wing nut who should be in a padded room somewhere, not on tv doing a so-called news show. Billy mentioned the Professor and said he hates Beck, he called him the Professor from Harvard, when he is from the University of Florida, not Harvard.
The last segment was about Acorn and the lawsuit against the two Republicans who filmed the sting, and Andrew Brietbart. Billy put Breitbart on all alone to spin out his side of the story, with nobody from Acorn or anyone to give the other side, which as O'Reilly himself would say is a violation of journalistic standards, oops I forgot, O'Reilly is not a journalist, my bad. Billy told him he is sorry he has to go through the lawsuit, and asked him if he has a team of attorneys to defend him.
Breitbart said Acorn is trying to supress free speech, and claimed it was about journalism, corruption, and the truth. Except he forgot a few things, they broke the law in Maryland, they refuse to release all the tapes, including the tapes where Acorn did not fall for their sting, and the two so-called citizen journalists that refuse to do interviews with anyone who does not work for FOX.
Then O'Reilly told Breitbart, dont worry you are winning in the court of public opinion, and that Acorn is done. Which is ridiculous, because the only people who care are Republicans who hate Acorn. And btw, all they did was get a lousy $3.5 million dollars a year cut from Acorns budget, so they are not done, they just dont have Government money anymore. And I would not be surprised if they raise more than that from private sources to make up for the loss. Remember this, O'Reilly has been saying for years that Air America is done, yet they are still on the air, so his predictions are not very accurate.
Then pinheads and patriots, and the lame e-mails. O'Reilly cited some media survey by the The Sacred Heart University Polling Institute. The survey said FOX News is the most trusted media outlet in America. Billy said 30% of the survey takers said FOX is the most trusted. But as usual, O'Reilly left out a hell of a lot of the facts. Let me list a few:
1) Sacred Heart University in Connecticut polled 800 Americans between Sept. 8-11. They asked which network they trusted most for news, 30 percent said FOX. And guess what, about 30% of the country are Republicans who watch FOX News. Proving the poll only shows that the 30% of Republicans who were sampled voted FOX the most trusted.
2) When asked which network they trusted the least, FOX was #1 at 26.2 percent. Something O'Reilly failed to mention in the so-called no spin zone. NBC was named by 9.9 percent, CBS 5.3 percent and ABC 3.7 percent. And what a shocker, O'Reilly never reported any of that.
3) When asked who is the most trusted anchor, Charlie Gibson came out on top at 19.8 percent, followed by Brian Williams 17.3, Katie Couric 9.9, Bill O'Reilly 9.3, Tom Brokaw 8.0 and Jim Lehrer 2.4. Funny how O'Reilly never mentioned he was 2nd from last, yeah I guess he just forgot.
So as you can see, O'Reilly left out a lot of information, he basically cherry picked the parts he liked that made FOX look good, and ignored all the bad parts that made him and FOX look bad. The poll proves nothing, except that 30% trust FOX, and 26% do not, and yet O'Reilly put a spin on it by ignoring important details in the poll.
Hey O'Reilly, dont you think when you report on a media trust survey you should be honest about what it says. How can you report FOX is the most trusted, and fail to mention they are also the least trusted, and how can you fail to mention you came in 4th out of 6 people on the trust issue, what say you Mr. Journalist.
No Journalism Emmy Awards For FOX News By: Steve - September 24, 2009 - 12:30pm
The 30th Annual Emmy awards for News and Documentaries came out this week, and what a shocker, nobody at FOX News won an award. O'Reilly did not win, Hannity did not win, Beck did not win, not one person at FOX won any kind of an award. Here is a partial list of who did win awards.
FRONTLINE (2) Bill Moyers (1)
60 Minutes (3)
CBS Evening News/Katie Couric (1)
CBS News Sunday Morning (1)
NBC (5) NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams (3)
Dateline NBC (1)
NBC News Ė Decision 2008 (1)
ABC News Nightline (1)
ABC News Primetime (1)
Maybe if O'Reilly and FOX News would start doing some actual journalism they might win an award one day, but I doubt it. And notice that NBC News won 5 awards, that's the network O'Reilly claims is corrupt, yet they won 5, FOX News won 0, and they are also the #1 rated News show in all of America. If they are #1, and they won 5 Journalism awards, while O'Reilly and FOX won 0, who are you going to go to for the news.
O'Reilly Lied About Never Speculating By: Steve - September 24, 2009 - 9:30am
On Monday O'Reilly said he never speculates and that he only deals in the facts. Then last night O'Reilly was busted for speculating that Barney Frank would have voted no to cut the funding for Acorn. Because Frank said if he had voted he would have voted yes.
Then last night O'Reilly and Dick Morris both speculated on Iran and Israel, they said Iran may get a nuke, and that israel might bomb them.
Last night O'Reilly also speculated that if Obama had done the Sunday FOX show with Chris Wallace, his job approval number might be higher than the 50% he has at Rasmussen.
O'Reilly also reported a rumor that Gen. McChrystal, the commander in Afghanistan, might resign if Obama does not give him more troops. That was also speculation, and not dealing in the facts, as O'Reilly claims. Especially when yesterday Gen. McChrystal gave an interview to the NY Times specifically saying it was all a lie. Gen. McChrystal said he never told anyone he would resign, and that he has never even considered resigning. And yet, O'Reilly never reported his statement, even after he had reported the rumor and speculated he might resign.
That is all speculation, the very speculating O'Reilly told the is it legal team he does not do, proving he is a liar who speculates. O'Reilly is a liar when he says he never speculates, and that he only deals in the facts. He speculates all the time, and reports rumors. Even after Gen. McChrystal killed the rumors and speculation, O'Reilly did not report it, which is journalism 101. Earth to O'Reilly, reporting a rumor is speculating, and then it's dishonest to ignore the persons statement that kills the rumor. Making you a dishonest, partisan, speculator, who lies and deals in rumors and non-facts.
The Wednesday 9-23-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 24, 2009 - 9:20am
The TPM was called Acorn Investigation. Once again O'Reilly talked about the Acorn story, for the millionth time. He cried about Barney Frank and John Conyers calling for an investigation of the two Republican activists, that O'Reilly calls private citizens. They called for an investigation because they broke the law, and of course since they are Republicans O'Reilly said it was wrong, and they should not be investigated, or prosecuted, even if it is found that they did break the law. When it involves a Republican, Billy dont care about laws, he only cares when a Democrat breaks the law.
O'Reilly had Democrat Barney Frank on to discuss it. The only Democrat on the entire show btw. Frank busted O'Reilly for his lies about him, O'Reilly had said Frank missed the vote, and that he would have voted against cutting the funding for Acorn. Frank said that's a lie, and that he would have voted yes to cut their funding, so once again O'Reilly was caught lying about a Democrat, Frank did not even vote, and O'Reilly speculated he would have voted no, which he said he never does. Billy also said he only deals in the facts, and he had the facts wrong, then on top of that he speculated, and he was wrong.
The Frank interview was a joke, O'Reilly asked him stupid right-wing spin questions then never let him answer. He would constantly cut him off before he answered, and talk over him, Frank told him 3 or 4 times to let him answer, and O'Reilly said no, then he just asked another question. O'Reilly did not let him finish one answer, not one. Frank said they broke the Maryland wiretap laws, and O'Reilly laughed, then he said nobody cares about the wiretap laws. Frank said that was an outrageous statement to make, and O'Reilly just laughed it off. The whole interview was ridiculous, unprofessional, and biased. Frank was just put on for O'Reilly to laugh at and make fun of, like sport for his mostly right-wing viewers who love to see him hammer on Frank.
Then O'Reilly put the totally biased partisan right-wing fraud of a corrupt pollster Frank Luntz on. And what's really bad is O'Reilly never discloses to anyone that Luntz is a biased partisan Republican pollster who helps Republicans, and even writes policy memos for them. Where is the full disclosure Billy, the disclosure you call for other news anchors to do, then you fail to do it yourself. Luntz reported on a fake focus group he ran where the TPM on Acorn by O'Reilly was played to them. And of course Luntz said they all loved it, then he kissed O'Reilly ass, and O'Reilly promoted his lame book, telling everyone it's a great book. The whole thing was biased one sided garbage, with no Democrats for balance.
Then O'Reilly had Dick Morris on to discuss the Obama speech to the U.N. and the Democrat guest was, haha, gotcha, there was no Democrat guest, just the right-wing idiot Dick Morris. Of course O'Reilly and Morris trashed Obama and the U.N. They both called it a charade, Morris said Obama is inept, and that Iran is going to make a nuke and wipe out Israel, then later he said Israel is going to bomb Iran before they get a nuke. So he cant even keep his story straight. Billy said if Israel bombs Iran the USA will be blamed for it, and that will start a new world war.
Here is my question, who made these two right-wing idiots foreign policy experts, and what happened to that no speculation policy Billy. IT IS ALL SPECULATION, FROM TWO RIGHT-WING TALKING HEADS. One is a half-assed right-wing cable news anchor, and the other is a former Democrat turned Republican, who is most famous for sucking the toes of hookers. How in the hell are they foreign policy experts, and why not have some actual foreign policy experts on to discuss it. Where are the Democrats, how can you have a fair and balanced foreign policy debate with no Democrats. Dick Morris is not a foreign policy expert, hell he is not an expert on anything, except maybe sucking the toes of hookers.
Then things got really stupid, O'Dummy cited a Rasmussen poll that says Obama has a 50% job approval. Then crazy O'Reilly said if Obama had done the FOX sunday show his approval numbers would be higher, after falling off my chair from laughter I said huh? How would going on a network that hates Obama improve his job ratings. Once again it was pure speculation, O'Reilly speculated that his numbers would have been higher. Wow, for a guy who says he never speculates, he sure does a hell of a lot of speculating. he can not prove it, so it's 100% speculation.
O'Loser even had Republican Dana Perino on to discuss Obama not going on the FOX shows. And of course no Democrat guest to provide the counterpoint and the balance. They sat there and cried for 4 minutes about Obama not doing the FOX shows, talk about crybabies, you are the king of crybabies. Billy even played the clip of Chris Wallace calling the Obama administration big crybabies again. Earth to crybabies, shut the hell up, you can cry about it forever, but until you stop unfairly attacking Obama 24/7, he is never going to do any FOX shows, so let it go morons.
Then Dennis Miller was on to cry some more, O'Dumbass and Miller spent the first two minutes crying like babies about Obama not doing the FOX shows. It was pathetic, and just sad. Miller said he is boycotting Obama until he agrees to do the FOX shows, ummmmm, who fricking cares what you are boycotting. You are a has been who never was, hack of a comedian, that's an insult to all comedians. Miller made some lame jokes about liberals and the usual right-wing garbage. Billy trashed him for bouncing the ball in the dirt at Wrigley, and getting booed for it. Who cares, and how in the hell is this crap news.
The last stupid non-news segment was called Did You See that. Billy had two more Republicans on to discuss videos on the internet. He had Jamie Colby and Eric Bolling on to comment, and btw, Bolling is the fill-in for Glenn Beck when he is on vacation. They played two videos made by liberals, one with Will Ferrell about the health care debate, and one about the right-wing birther idiots. And what a shocker, they hated them, they trashed Ferrell and trashed the people who made the birther video. it's garbage, and not news. O'Reilly just finds liberal videos then puts two right-wing nuts on to trash them, with no Democrats to provide the balance.
And btw, if you were not counting that's 6 Republican guests, and 1 Democrat. Billy calls that fair and balanced, and I have to agree, in O'Reillyworld 6 Republicans to 1 Democrat is balance. But only if you are a right-wing lunatic, and O'Reillyworld is in a mental institution. Can someone please e-mail me and tell me how this garbage is news.
Then pinheads and patriots and the fake highly edited Factor e-mails. Billy named the Dalai Lama a patriot for doing a fist-bump, he played the video of it. I kid you not, he was named a patriot for a fist-bump. But when Obama did a fist-bump it was called a terrorist fist-jab by a FOX anchor, E.D. Hill. Figure that out, I cant. And the media reported today on a Republican Senator Jim Bunning falling asleep at a health care hearing today, a staffer had to wake him up, yet O'Reilly never says a word about it. Does anyone think if a Democrat Senator did that he would have been the pinhead?
Crazy Michele Bachmann Loves Bill O'Reilly & FOX News By: Steve - September 23, 2009 - 9:50am
And Bill O'Reilly loves her too. Monday night during his so-called reality check segment, he played a clip of her praising him, Beck, and FOX News for reporting the truth. Here is my question, how many so-called nonpartisan independents love Michele Bachmann, I would guess none, because she is a crazy far right nut. And yet Bill O'Reilly loves her, and even has her on his show once in a while.
Bachmann heaped praise on O'Reilly and Glenn Beck. In an interview with Fox News, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) kissed up to Bill O'Reilly and his audience, telling producer Jesse Watters, "The Factor is the factor. That's what's important." Bachmann then showered O'Reilly and Glenn Beck with praise:
BACHMANN: People vote with their feet. And they love Bill O'Reilly; they love Glenn Beck. They love the shows that are on Fox. That's what matters. Because people want to go where they can find truth. They obviously aren't finding truth over on some of these other channels.
Remember that this is the same Michele Bachmann that said these insane things:
-- In 2008, right before the presidential election, Bachmann said that Barack Obama and his wife Michelle held anti-American views and couldn't be trusted in the White House.
-- On Hardball Bachmann said some Democratic members of Congress were anti-American: "I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out if they are pro-America or anti-America." Chris Matthews pressed her to name a single member of Congress who she thought was anti-American, and she could not name one person.
-- Speaking in Colorado about the Obama health care plan Bachmann said: "This cannot pass. What we have to do today is make a covenant, to slit our wrists, be blood brothers on this thing. This will not pass. We will do whatever it takes to make sure this doesn't pass."
-- Bachmann was also on Fox News to claim health care reform is unconstitutional, that the Census is dangerous because it was used to intern the Japanese, and that Alaskan caribou favor oil drilling because they like the the warmth of the pipeline.
Clearly Bachmann is a crazy far right lunatic, and yet O'Reilly plays clips of her saying how great he is, how great Beck is, and how great FOX is, would a nonpartisan independent do that, just asking?
The Tuesday 9-22-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 23, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Crisis In Afghanistan. O'Reilly played clips of Obama on Letterman talking about Afghanistan. Then he said there is a rumor that the General may quit if Obama does not give him the 40,000 troops he wants. Which is funny, because O'Reilly said he does not speculate and only deals in the facts, then he reports rumors. O'Reilly said Afghanistan is a disaster, Obama should send the 40,000 extra troops, and that if we pull our troops out the terrorists win and Obama looks weak. And every word of that is nothing but right-wing spin. It sounds like something Laura Ingraham or Ann Coulter would say.
Then O'Reilly had Dennis Kucinich and Brian Doherty on to discuss it, Kucinich is a liberal and Doherty is a conservative. Billy went to Kucinich first and he mentioned that he was right about Iraq, Billy said not really, because the surge worked. Ummmmm, huh? What a lame right-wing excuse, the Iraq war was a mistake and everyone admits that, because they did not find any WMD's, O'Reilly and a few right-wing nuts are the only people who deny it. Kucinich said we should not send more troops, and bring them home. Billy argued with him a little, and put out more right-wing spin how if we leave the terrorists win, etc.
So Billy went to the conservative Doherty thinking he would agree with him, and he was wrong, Doherty also said he thinks we should not send more troops, and that it would be best to just bring the troops home. Doherty and Kucinich both said the entire Government is corrupt, and the best thing to do is get out. O'Reilly agreed the Government is corrupt, but he said Obama should send the 40,000 troops anyway, because if we pull out the terrorists win and Obama looks weak. Which is ridiculous, we should get out and let them have their country back, they are not a threat to us, and if they ever are we can go back in and attack them.
So then O'Reilly has the far right Newt Gingrich on to discuss politics and rudeness, and of course no Democrat to give the other side, just Newt all by himself. The entire segment was just ridiculous, it was total hypocrisy and total one sided right-wing bias. The two of them cried about how rude people are now in politics, and O'Reilly even said he dont remember the media complaining about rudeness when Bush was the president. Earth to O'Reilly it's a whole different story when you are rude to a president who has been there 8 years, who lied us into Iraq and almost destroyed the country with his foreign and economic policies. Than being rude to a president who has been there 7 months who just wants to give health care to all Americans, Bush deserved it, Obama has not, at least not yet.
The comparison is crazy, liberals were rude to Bush because he lied, he invaded Iraq for no reason, and his policies almost destroyed the country. Conservatives are rude to Obama simply because he is black, a liberal, and they hate him, even though he has not done anything to be hated for, they just hate him because he is a black liberal. Then O'Reilly said he gets high ratings because he deals with the facts and never speculates, haha, he just speculated the General would quit in the TPM, so he is a liar. And what's really funny is Billy and Newt crying about rudeness when they encourage it, FOX promoted the tea party nonsense, and loved it when the right-wing idiots were rude at the town halls. So they are massive hypocrites who have double standards.
Newt was even held over for a 2nd segment to talk about health care, and O'Reilly agreed with everything Newt said. Newt listed 3 things that would fix health care, and none of it is a reform, it just keeps the health care business in the hands of the private insurance companies, so there is no competition. If you do not have competition prices will not come down, so it was all just right-wing spin, and yet O'Reilly loved it and agreed with all of it. Proving he is a right-wing nut, because only Republicans agree with Newt on health care, or anything. For some reason Billy cried about electronic medical records, he is scared to have his medical records in a computer file. Even Newt said that was crazy, and that it could save your life one day. Billy said hackers could get in and see his medical records, and Newt even said paper records are more at risk. O'Reilly is an idiot, electronic medical records scare him, lol.
And btw, notice that O'Reilly had the partisan hack Newt Gingrich on to discuss health care, no doctors, or nurses, or health care experts. Not once has O'Reilly had a doctor or a health care expert on who supports the Obama plan, it's all right-wing spin doctors who oppose it. O'Reilly never mentioned that the world famous Mayo Clinic supports a public option, that 73% of doctors support it, or that new polls show that 77% of the people want some kind of a public option. Billy ignores all that to put Newt on so he can spin out his Republican talking points. And then he claims to be a nonpartisan independent, yeah and I'm the King of England too.
Next up was the lame Barack & a Hard Place segment with crazy Monica Crowley and Alan Colmes. Crowley said Obama is dumb because he does not understand the majority of people oppose his health care plan, and she cited a biased Rasmussen poll to prove it. But she fails to mention 45% of the people believe the lies about death panels, abortion, and illegal immigrants getting health care, so they polls do not measure the truth, they are based on lies, funny how she never mentioned that. When you tell people the truth, over 60% support it, and 77% support some kind of a public option. And of course O'Reilly agreed with her spin.
Colmes said Obama did well by going on all the talk shows to get his message out. Crowley hated it and put out the crap that Obama is overexposed. O'Reilly said he did not have a beef with it. The only problem O'Reilly had with it is that Obama did not do the FOX shows. But later in the segment O'Reilly said Obama is overexposed, which is crazy, because earlier he said he had no beef with it. And btw, a recent NBC/WSJ poll asked the people if Obama was overexposed and only 27% said yes, so the people do not think he is overexposed. It's only right-wing idiots like O'Reilly and Crowley who think he is, and when Bush was president O'Reilly called for him to speak out more, now that a Democrat is president O'Reilly wants him to just keep quiet. Proving his bias, hypocrisy, and double standards once again.
Then the is it legal garbage with Megyn Kelly and Lis Wiehl. They talked about a wal-mart lawsuit about photos parents took of their young kids in a bathtub, the wal-mart employee called the cops for child porn, when it was not child porn. The parents have filed a lawsuit, Kelly thinks it will fail, and Wiehl is not so sure. Kelly said they have immunity and defended what wal-mart did. Wiehl thinks it will go to court, and they might even win. They also talked about the John Travolta case, Billy speculated they took pics of his dead son and tried to blackmail him, and it's all speculation.
Then O'Reilly said he dont want to speculate on it, after he just speculated they had pics of the dead boy, with no proof they have them, it was all speculation, lol. Then they talked about the Anna Nicole case, and that her two doctors might have been having sex with her. Billy said they are guilty and they will be convicted, hey Billy what happened to the I do not convict people on tv thing, or the no speculating thing. You just convicted them on tv, and speculated they will be found guilty. You dumbass!
The last segment was the Great American News Quiz, with the total idiot Steve Doocy and the almost as dumb Martha MacCallum. This segment is a total waste of tv time, it's a news quiz and they are reporters, yet they usually only get 2 or 3 out of 5 correct, proving how stupid they are. It's not news, and has no news value at all, it's just crap to get ratings and to give away some lame factor gear.
Then the pinheads and patriots and the fake e-mails. And btw, Tom delay was the patriot for doing dancing with the stars, give me a break. He should be in jail for the crimes he did, not dancing on tv, and he sure as hell is not a patriot for simply doing a dance show, except in O'Reilly's right-wing world.
FOX Leaks Fake Journalistic Standards Memo By: Steve - September 22, 2009 - 12:30pm
This memo is so fake it's laughable that anyone would take it serious. As if after reading it Beck, Hannity, and O'Reilly are suddenly going to change everything they do and become true nonpartisan journalists. And btw, for anyone that does not know, the fake memo was leaked to the right-wing mediaite website, to get them publicity because they are a new website, and so FOX can pretend they actually tell their employees to be fair and impartial.
Here is a copy of the memo, and what mediamatters had to say about it.
Irony alert: Fox News exec urges staffers to be "fair" and "impartial"
Mediaite has an internal memo from managing editor Bill Sammon. It's in response to the revelation that at least one member of the Fox News team was whipping up the 9/12 crowd prior to a live report, pretending it was a studio audience. Which, of course, it pretty much was considering Fox News was an unofficial sponsor of the event.
But the video has been a huge embarrassment. So Sammon typed up a memo and said all the things that normal journalists would say in this situation. The funny part, of course, is that Fox News no longer practices journalism. Instead, it's transformed itself into the Opposition Party of the Obama White House, so Sammon's supposedly straight-faced pleas for impartiality read more like a clever parody.
From: Sammon, Bill
Sent: Monday, September 21, 2009
For those of us who have only been at Fox for a relatively short period of time, it's useful to remind ourselves that, as journalists, we must always be careful to cover the story without becoming part of the story. At news events, we're supposed to function as dispassionate observers, not active participants. We are there to chronicle the news, not create it.
That means we ask questions in a fair, impartial manner. When approaching interviewees, we identify ourselves, by both name and news organization, up front. We seek out a variety of voices and views. We take note of the scene in order to bring color and context to our viewers.
We do not cheerlead for one cause or another. We do not rile up a crowd. If a crowd happens to be boisterous when we show it on TV, so be it. If it happens to be quiet, that's fine, too. It's not our job to affect the crowd's behavior one way or the other. Again, we're journalists, not participants -- and certainly not performers.
Indeed, any effort to affect the crowd's behavior only serves to undermine our legitimate journalistic role as detached eyewitnesses. Remember, our viewers are counting on us to be honest brokers when it comes to reporting -- not altering -- the important events of the day. That is nothing less than a sacred trust. We must always take pains to preserve that trust.
That is like Bernie Madoff stealing Billions of dollars from his investors, then sending out a memo telling everyone who works for him to be honest and not steal the investors money, it's just laughable. O'Reilly, Hannity, and Beck are not going to change a thing because some fake PR memo was sent out. And dont just believe me, watch FOX and see for yourself, nothing has changed, they still do the same things they did before the memo was sent out.
And take notice that neither O'Reilly or Bernie Goldberg, has said one word about the FOX Producer getting caught coaching the crowd to cheerlead at the 9-12 protest. O'Reilly even has Goldberg on the Factor once a week to discuss media bias, yet they have totally ignored the FOX Producer story. All they do is cry about media bias at NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, and MSNBC, while ignoring all the right-wing bias at FOX. Then they claim to be fair and balanced, and complain when another media outlet ignores a story, or has bias, when they do it as much or more than anyone else does.
The Monday 9-21-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 22, 2009 - 9:00am
The TPM was called Sunday Morning Guy. O'Reilly cried some more about Obama doing all the Sunday shows but FOX. Billy played clips of Obama on the Sunday shows then talked about it. Obama was asked about Acorn and he said it was not a big story, that he has much more important things to deal with. O'Reilly said it is a big story, and that Obama should pay more attention to it. Which is ridiculous, because it's a small story that only Republicans care about. As usual O'Reilly said the questions were too soft, and said mostly it was boring.
Billy played a clip of Obama on health care, then replied that it is too costly and might even be unconstitutional. Which is nothing but right-wing spin, because it will cost more if we dont do it, and only the right-wing idiots like Malkin and O'Reilly are saying it might be unconstitutional. He also played a clip of Obama talking about the CIA investigation, Obama pointed out it's just an investigation to see if any laws were broken, not to prosecute anyone. O'Reilly called his answer weak and disingenuous, which is the same as calling the president a liar. Not to mention O'Reilly did not report that Obama was opposed to it, and that AG Holder had to do the investigation by law. Billy failed to mention any of that, as he claims to be a nonpartisan journalist.
Then O'Reilly had Juan Williams and Kellyanne Conway on to discuss it. Billy said ok Juan where am I going wrong, and Juan said actually I agree with you on everything except the Acorn story. Juan said Obama is right, that the Acorn story is low leval crap that only FOX News cares about, and of course O'Reilly disagreed. And you know Conway agreed with everything O'Reilly said, because she is a Republican. Then O'Reilly said Obama should shut down the CIA investigation, when he knows that is not possible. The AG is an independent and he can do whatever he wants, in fact, it would be wrong for the president to pressure him to do anything. It was the usual right-wing garbage, and if a Democrat had ordered it O'Reilly would be calling for the AG to investigate.
The next segment was all about the CIA story, Billy had former CIA director Jim Woolsey on to discuss it. They both attacked Obama for not killing the investigation, and of course nobody was there to give the other side. So it was the usual one sided biased segment with a guest who agrees with O'Reilly to make it look like he is in the right. Earth to O'Reilly, when the AG is shown evidence that laws might have been broken by someone in the Government, by law he has to investigate it, try to get that through your thick right-wing head. Then the crazy O'Reilly said the whole thing was being driven by the ACLU, when he has no proof of that, it's all speculation, the speculation he has he never does. The whole segment was just right-wing garbage to smear Obama, when he has nothing to do with it, and was even opposed to it.
Then the body language bimbo was on, but I do not report this crap because it's garbage. And it's always biased, she only does body language readings on Democrats, so the whole thing is just one sided biased mumbo jumbo, it's not news, and has no news value at all. It is just another way for O'Reilly to smear Democrats, by having some right-wing blonde bimbo on to give negative body languange readings on them.
The next segment was with Bernie Goldberg, he was on to cry about Obama not doing FOX. Listen morons, this is real simple, if you want Obama to do FOX show his damn speeches, and stop lying about him 24/7. otherwise shut the hell up. Wallace said the Obama administration are crybabies, then O'Reilly and Wallace cried for a week about Obama not doing FOX, so they are even bigger crybabies. Nobody cares, so stop crying about it. Goldberg said 22% of FOX viewers are independents so Obama should do FOX, and yet he did not cite a poll or anything to prove that. And even if they claim to be an independent, they are most likely a Republican who only says he is an independent.
O'Reilly cried some more about the internet, he said it's a safe haven for liars. Which is so funny, because he is sort of right, but all the lies come from the right-wing blogs and websites. O'Reilly said it drives him crazy to see all the lies out there. Which is insane, because he lies every fricking night, and FOX puts out more lies than anyone. But somehow O'Reilly and Goldberg never find any of that, because they only find left-wing lies, haha. And that's called nonpartisan independent journalism, from two right-wing partisans who work for FOX News.
Then the totally ridiculous reality check. Billy bragged about his ratings, talked about how great the people at the values voter summit are, talked about Megan Fox, Paula Abdul, and some snake garbage in Florida. And none of that was a reality check on anything, it was just O'Reilly playing clips of people in Hollywood doing things, and a snake video. Can someone with a 5th grade education please explain to O'Reilly what a reality check is, because he clearly has no idea. Playing a clip of Paula Abdul impersonating Ellen is not a reality check you dumbass.
Then the pinheads and patriots and the lame e-mails. One e-mail thanked O'Reilly for reporting the truth, wow is she brainwashed, O'Reilly can not even spell truth, let alone report it. One e-mail accused O'Reilly of being biased to the right with all the Republican guests, and Billy said that's a lie, that he had Colmes on, haha. Yeah in that show it was 6 Republicans to 1 Colmes, and Colmes had to split his time with a Republican guest, he was not even put on alone, in O'Reilly world that's balance.
Billy said sometimes the Factor leans right, sometimes it leans left. Really, when, where, prove it. In my 8 years of watching the Factor I have never seen it lean left, and not even close. The average O'Reilly Factor has 6 or 7 Republican guests, while only having 1 to 2 Democrats, with most shows having 6 or 7 Republicans to 0 or 1 Democrat. And this show even had 5 Republicans with 0 Democrats, as in none. Which is balance in O'Reillyworld.
O'Reilly Busted For His Afghanistan Lies By: Steve - September 21, 2009 - 10:30am
I was reading an article this morning about Afghanistan and I thought back to 2006 when George W. Bush was the president, O'Reilly defended him by saying we have won in Afghanistan. Even though liberals and military leaders were saying we have not won, and that it's possible the Taliban could re-gain control of Afghanistan. Billy said that's a myth, that we have already won, and only liberals are saying things are bad there to make Bush look bad.
10-26-06 -- Despite widespread reports of the Taliban's resurgence in Afghanistan, O'Reilly baselessly claimed that it is a "myth" that "Afghanistan's going backwards" and declared that "the Bush administration has won a victory in Afghanistan."
During a discussion with Sarah Sewall, director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Sewall argue otherwise, then O'Reilly declared her to be "just parroting the left-wing line that America doesn't know what its doing." Sewall replied: "I'm parroting conversations with commanders who are in uniform serving bravely in Afghanistan."
O'REILLY: But look, we were successful in Afghanistan. And nobody thought --
SEWALL: Well, the jury's still out on Afghanistan.
O'REILLY: -- we would overthrow the Taliban in that way. So we were successful.
SEWALL: -- to part of the problem with the focus of effort on Iraq. We risk losing the progress that had been made in Afghanistan.
O'REILLY: Now you're just -- that's not true. There's always going to be a Taliban insurrection. As long as they have mountain --
SEWALL: It is true.
O'REILLY: No, it's not. Every military analyst working for our team says most of that country is pacified.
SEWALL: Maybe you should be talking to the people on the ground, then.
O'REILLY: I talk to everybody, Professor.
SEWALL: Because they're concerned about the situation there.
O'REILLY: You're just parroting the left-wing line that America doesn't know what it's doing. It's bull.
SEWALL: I'm parroting conversations with commanders who are in uniform serving bravely in Afghanistan.
O'REILLY: All right, so have I. And our information is that there's no danger at all of the Taliban reclaiming that country, none. They'll be annoying. There'll be guerrilla warfare. It will not happen, and I believe that. Final question for you.
SEWALL: Well, I assume then that you're discounting the views of the British commander of the new NATO force who's quite concerned about the direction.
O'REILLY: Everybody's concerned --
SEWALL: And I think the point is that we need to --
O'REILLY: -- nobody thinks the Taliban's going to win.
SEWALL: -- have a different strategy in Afghanistan also.
O'REILLY: OK, last question.
SEWALL: There are very serious issues.
O'REILLY: The Bush administration has won a victory in Afghanistan, I believe. And they've also decimated Al Qaeda. So they've got two wins and a loss. A loss, not means that it can't not turn out. But it's certainly, as you put it, chaotic in Iraq.
Sewall was right, and as usual O'Reilly was wrong. O'Reilly is such a partisan Republican he could not even admit the truth because his hero Bush was in the White House. O'Reilly denied reality to defend Bush, in October of 2006 AP, ABC News, and CBS News all reported problems in Afghanistan. Gen. David Richards, NATO's commanding officer in Afghanistan, even warned that Afghanistan was at a "tipping point," and that "If we do not exploit this winter to start achieving concrete and visible improvement, some 70% of Afghans could switch sides" and support the Taliban. That was from 2006, now fast forward to September of 2009.
9-21-09 -- Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the top U.S. and NATO commander in Afghanistan, "warns in an urgent, confidential assessment of the war that he needs more forces within the next year and bluntly states that without them, the eight-year conflict 'will likely result in failure.'"
McChrystal adds that if insurgent momentum is not reversed within the next year, "defeating the insurgency is no longer possible."
So there you have it, proof that O'Reilly lied to defend Bush, because he is a Republican. As things were going bad, and all the evidence showed it, O'Reilly denied it all to defend his hero Bush. Not to mention, now that Bush is gone and a Democrat is president O'Reilly does not defend him, and has recently admitted things are bad in Afghanistan. So he lies for Bush, when the facts show otherwise, then admits the truth when a Democrat is in the White House. Proving his right-wing bias once again.
The Process Of A Right-Wing Lie By: Steve - September 20, 2009 - 10:20am
If you ever wondered how a right-wing lie gets started, then all the sudden every Republican in America is saying it, read this. I will use Glenn Beck in my example, but it could be any right-winger, O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, etc.
BECK: You have what came out today, the outright lies coming out of the White House. I hate to call anybody a liar. It's the cap and trade energy bill. We want to thank our friend Chris Horner at CEI for pointing this out to us. Chris, watchdog, thank you very much. This is a document behind me. This is something that the Department of the Treasury did for the White House and the government, so, you know, they could be informed. I want you to take a look at the date. It's March 9th, 2009.
Look at the document, because in the document, it says "a cap and trade program could generate receipts on the order of $100 to $200 billion annually." That's $1,761 a year, per household, all of us. Okay. The Department of Treasury issues a report and says, "Here, Mr. President, boy, that looks like it is going to suck. It is going to cost $1,761." Got it?
And now the truth: On Friday, Beck fanned himself with a giant $1,761 postage stamp, claiming he had uncovered "outright lies" by a spooky White House. According to Beck, "buried" Treasury documents reveal that President Obama's clean energy agenda "is going to cost a lot of money." He thanked his friend Chris Horner at CEI for revealing the facts about the cap and trade energy bill.
How did Glenn Beck end up waving a giant postage stamp, accusing the president of a cover-up. By following the same process that has been used to create other popular Glenn Beck conspiracy theories: that Carol Browner is a socialist, that millions of people marched in the Glenn Beck 9/12 rally, and that the EPA suppressed global warming skeptics.
Step 1: Lie gets started by right-wing think tank. On September 15, the Competitive Enterprise Institute's Chris Horner begins shopping around two internal Treasury Department memos about cap-and-trade proposals, one written by the Bush administration in November 2008, one written in March 2009. CEI is a corporate-funded think tank that has opposed regulation of dioxin, cigarette smoking, global warming, prescription drugs, and alcohol.
Step 2: Right-wing print journalists write breaking news story. Chris Horner feeds the documents to Amanda Carpenter at the right-wing Washington Times (The very same Amanda Carpenter who is/was the Internet Cop for the O'Reilly Factor) and libertarian blogger Declan McCullagh. McCullagh does a blog post that says this: "Obama Admin: Cap And Trade Could Cost Families $1,761 A Year."
Step 3: The lie is picked up by Drudge, then the lie is repeated endlessly on right-wing blogs, Twitter, and talk radio. Last Wednesday, the Drudge Report promoted McCullagh's lie. The $1,761 figure is picked up by Politico's Ben Smith, Hot Air, Townhall.com, RedState, and hordes of right-wing Tweeters.
Step 4: Republican politicians, right-wing think tanks, and polluter front groups release statements of shock and outrage. Despite the rapid response of the Treasury Department calling the story "flat out wrong" and "misrepresentations of the facts," the House Republican Conference, Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK), the American Petroleum Institute, and the Heritage Foundation promote the lie.
Step 5: On Fox News, Glenn Beck and other Republicans in the media and the Government call President Obama a liar/socialist/Marxist/communist/fascist. On Thursday afternoon, after discussing the story on his radio show in the afternoon, Beck rails for nearly ten minutes about President Obama's cover-up" and "outright lies."
And now the facts: Last Thursday the Congressional Budget Office released a report that says the average household cost of the Waxman-Markey American Clean Energy and Security Act would be 44 cents per day, or $160.00 a year per family. And that's not all, The revised analysis also determined that the least well off Americans would receive a greater net benefit than its previous projections.
"CBO estimates that households in the lowest income quintile in 2020 would see an average gain of about $125 per household." By 2050, this net gain would increase to "$355 measured at 2010 income levels."
A clean energy economy would enjoy massive growth, according the the CBO. The CBO projects that real (inflation-adjusted) GDP will be roughly two and a half times as large in 2050 as it is today.
Glenn Beck and the other right-wing liars are spinning a paranoid fantasy in which Democratic members of Congress are either puppets of -- or conspirators with -- an out-of-control, spooky President. In the real world, the Congressional Budget Office has repeatedly found that a clean energy future can be ours for less than the cost of a postage stamp a day.
And now you know how right-wing lies get put out, then repeated, and you also know the truth from the CBO, the truth they fail to mention, as they spin out their lies to make Obama look bad.
Hey O'Reilly Read This Dumbass By: Steve - September 20, 2009 - 10:00am
O'Reilly claims it is bull to say there is racism against Obama from the right, haha, read this moron. It's called journalism, something you know nothing about.
From www.mcclatchydc.com: There's no denying Obama's race plays a role in protests
In the pre-dawn hours of last Nov. 5, while much of the nation celebrated Barack Obama's election as the nation's first black president, three white men in Springfield, Mass., doused the partially completed Macedonia Church of God in Christ with gasoline and burned it to the ground.
After their arrest, the men told police they torched the black church because they were angry about Obama's election and feared minorities would be given more rights.
At about the same time, newspaper Web sites were filled with millions of hateful messages about Obama, and the computer servers of two large white supremacist groups, the Council of Conservative Citizens and Stormfront.org, crashed because they got so much traffic.
In this summer of discontent, much of that outrage, rightly or wrongly, has been trained on President Obama. While it's an occupational hazard that comes with the turf at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., some of the criticism of Obama has the unmistakable stench of racism.
For example, a recent poster making the rounds shows Obama outfitted in full African witch doctor gear, complete with headdress, above the words "OBAMACARE coming to a clinic near you."
"I certainly detect a racial element in some of the hostility directed at President Obama," said Richard Alba, the distinguished professor of sociology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
The Republican Party and its supporters, particularly media personalities such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, have used race most frequently and in the most inflammatory manner to frame their opposition to and displeasure with the president.
"I don't think anybody has used the symbols of race and racism to criticize this president more than the individuals on the right," said D'Linell Finley, a political science professor at Auburn University at Montgomery. "Listen to the radio, look at the signs and listen to their individual words. It comes through both in a subtle and not-so-subtle manner."
The not-so-subtle incidents are numerous:
-- Last October, John McCain's campaign ousted a Buchanan County, Va., McCain campaign official, Bobby May, for writing a newspaper column that said that if Obama were elected he'd hire rapper Ludacris to paint the White House black and change the national anthem to the "Negro National Anthem" by James Weldon Johnson.
-- Diane Fedele, who was then the president of a Republican women's club in San Bernardino County, Calif., resigned last October after she sent out a newsletter with a drawing of Obama on a bogus food-stamp coupon surrounded by ribs, watermelon and fried chicken.
-- In May, Sherri Goforth, an aide to Republican state Sen. Diane Black of Tennessee, sent an e-mail to Republican staffers showing the first 43 U.S. presidents in stately poses, but Obama's image, as the 44th president, was a pair of bright white cartoonish eyes on a black background.
-- In June, Diann Jones, the vice chairman of the Collin County Republican Party in Texas sent an e-mail to local Republican clubs calling a proposal for a $50 gun tax "another terrific idea from the black house and its minions."
-- Also in June, South Carolina Republican activist Rusty DePass compared an escaped gorilla from a Columbia zoo to first lady Michelle Obama's ancestors.
-- At an August political forum, Republican U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins of Kansas denied any racial intent when she said that the party was looking for a "great white hope" to lead the party into the future.
David Bositis, a senior research associate at the Joint Center for Political Studies, a public-policy research institute, said: "You have a whole bunch of incidents of that sort, and they're accelerating in their occurrences."
And yet, in O'Reilly world it's all just bull, and made up by the left to smear Republicans as racists. Open your eyes idiot, there is racism against Obama from the right, we have proof, and the partial list above is what we know of as a fact, it does not even mention the Barack The Magic Negro song Limbaugh used, or the Ni66er AF1 photoshop image, or the white house watermelon patch photo, so they did not even report all of it.
Earth to O'Reilly, that is racism, and it's all from the right, what say you?
O'Reilly Caught Lying About Obama Missile Defense By: Steve - September 19, 2009 - 1:00pm
Thursday and Friday night O'Reilly did his usual biased right-wing attack on Obama for partisan reasons. He cried like a baby over Obama killing the Bush missile defense plan. O'Liar said it will make us less safe, and that it helps Putin and Russia. And as usual he left out all the facts, to smear Obama with right-wing talking points. Just like all the other right-wing liars are doing, as proof look at what they are saying.
Cries and complaints of appeasement, surrender, and weakness emerged immediately from the right, with many implying that the Obama administration is scrapping missile defense altogether. "This is just pre-emptive capitulation, neoconservative hawk John Bolton said. The Weekly Standard's Michael Goldfarb spent most of yesterday ridiculing Obama as "an Illinois state senator," and saying the administration is "smearing missile defense." Mitt Romney joined in as well, calling Obama's decision "alarming and dangerous." Charles Krauthammer joined in, complaining that Russia can now take over all of eastern Europe.
Let's look at the facts shall we:
-- President Obama said the U.S. would abandon President Bush's plan to construct a missile defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic and instead focus defensive measures on more immediate threats, such as short-range Iranian missiles capable of targeting the Middle East and parts of Europe. Obama said the new system "will provide stronger, smarter, and swifter defenses of American forces and America's allies," noting that the new system is "more comprehensive than the previous program" and that its capabilities are "proven" and "cost-effective." Funny how O'Reilly never mentioned any of that.
-- The new program, was put in place at the recommendation of Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Republicans said Obama should listen to his military leaders, so he does, and then they hammer him for doing exactly what they said he should do.
-- Those who say we are scrapping missile defense in Europe are either misinformed or misrepresenting the reality of what we are doing," said Gates. The new missile configuration "provides better missile defense capability than the program I recommended almost three years ago," he said. The Bush system was designed to counter a threat from Iranian long-range intercontinental ballistic missiles, but Gates said intelligence experts concluded that short and medium range missiles were "developing more rapidly than previously projected" in Iran and the new system is adapting to the change.
-- Speaking at the Brookings Institution yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that criticism of the Obama plan is "not connected to the facts. We are not, quote, 'shelving' missile defense. We are deploying missile defense sooner than the Bush administration planned to do so."
-- Even Republican Brent Scowcroft, President George H.W. Bush's national security adviser endorsed Obama's new policy. "I strongly approve of President Obama's decision regarding missile defense deployments in Europe. I believe it advances U.S. national security interests, supports our allies, and better meets the threats we face," he said.
Obama noted in his remarks, Bush's system was unproven, and the U.S. has "made specific and proven advances in our missile defense technology, particularly with regard to land and sea-based interceptors and the sensors that support them." "Bush's idea was hugely expensive, and massively illogical," Matthew Yglesias writes. "For one thing, Poland and the Czech Republic aren't between Iran and Europe. Nor is Iran actually threatening Europe with any missiles. Which is why nobody in Europe particularly wanted this thing built," he said.
So as you can see, O'Reilly had all the facts wrong, and just spewed out the right-wing talking points on it to smear Obama as being weak and failing to protect the country. And then he wonders why Obama will not do his show, or any show on FOX, give me a break. Because you lie about him every fricking day, just to make him look bad. Obama is not even killing the Bush missile defense program, he is replacing it with a better system, and doing it sooner than Bush planned to.
But these idiots like O'Reilly claim Obama has killed missile defense, and made us less safe, which is all lies put out by the right, with O'Reilly leading the charge. Then he claims to be a nonpartisan independent who has been fair to Obama, and if you believe that I have some land to sell you.
The Friday 9-18-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 19, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Obama Fair & Balanced. Now get this, and yes I am being serious when I say O'Reilly claimed the reporting on Obama has been fair and balanced on FOX News. Which is just ridiculous, and you have to be dumb as a rock to believe that. FOX News spends 24/7 attacking Obama, they even refuse to show his speeches on the FOX Network, and then crazy O'Reilly says they are fair to Obama, it's insanity, and proof Bill O'Reilly is a right-wing liar. Every anchor and every show on FOX does nothing but attack everything Obama does, to claim that is fair is nothing but lies.
Obama himself even said there is an entire news network that attacks him 24/7, and he did not even mention a name, but everyone knew it was FOX News, including O'Reilly. Yet O'Reilly still denies it, even though the evidence is overwhelming. Then O'Reilly attacked Obama for the 2nd night in a row for killing the bogus Bush missile shield program. Which is just more proof they are biased towards Obama, because the program does not even work, and it was just a waste of taxpayer money.
Billy also said he does not support a public option in the Obama health care bill, and that the liberal media lied about it. Then he made the ridiculous claim that FOX News is the only honest news network in America, and their ratings prove it. Earth to O'Dummy, ratings do not equal honesty and integrity. Just because you have high ratings does not mean you are honest or a truth teller, after all the #1 rated show on cable is wrestling and it's fake, so their is no honesty yet they still get high ratings. To claim you are honest and the proof is your high ratings is ridiculous.
Then Billy had Chris Wallace on to cry about Obama refusing to do the FOX News Sunday show, the only Sunday morning show he will not do this weekend. Hey Morons, you made your bed, now you have to lay in it. When you unfairly attack a president 24/7 you should not be surprised when he tells you to shove it. Wallace said it was childish and immature, and Billy said it was dumb because FOX News is not the most powerful news operation in America. Which is just insane, FOX is a cable news network, NBC, ABC, and CBS get more viewers every night than any show you have, and NBC has double the viewers. NBC is #1, ABC is #2, CBS is #3, and FOX is #4, how hard is that to understand.
Billy also said it was dumb for Obama to avoid FOX, and that all the independents watch FOX, so Obama should be doing their shows. Which is also a lie, because most FOX viewers are Republicans, and media surveys prove it. A recent media survey showed that 86% of the Factor viewers are Republicans, and that was slightly below Hannity and Limbaugh, as the shows with the highest percent of Republicans who watch them. What's really funny is how wallace said the people in the Obama administration are the biggest cry babies he has ever seen, while him and O'Reilly sat there for 4 minutes crying their right-wing asses off, because Obama will not go on their right-wing news network.
Billy said Obama dont get it, when O'Reilly is the guy who dont get it. FOX is a right-wing news network, that is a fact, so it makes no sense for Obama to do any of your shows, and in fact, no Democrat should ever do any FOX show, because your network is garbage, and totally biased against all Democrats. For any Democrat reading this, you are a fool if you go on any FOX show, so dont do it. And talk about cry babies, O'Reilly cries every other night about Obama refusing to do FOX, shut up already you giant cry baby. You can cry about it every night and it's not gonna do any good, so just shut the hell up and report some actual news.
Then O'Reilly did another ridiculous segment with Sally Quinn bragging how FOX is so powerful now. When only 1% of the country even watch his show, and less than 1% watch the rest of FOX. The entire segment was ridiculous and not even worth reporting on, it was not news, and had no news value at all. It was basically O'Reilly telling Quinn how powerful he is, and how she should bow down to the mighty FOX News, lol. Earth to O'Reilly, where was all that power when McCain was running for president. You guys attacked Obama 24/7 for a year, and Obama still crushed McCain 380 to 170, so how did that power work out for you then. You got Van Jones to resign, and the federal funding for Acorn pulled, is that the power you speak of, haha. Get back to me when you actually do something worth reporting.
Billy said they are fair and balanced because they have some commentators who hate Obama, and some who love him. Really, name one. I'll be waiting. O'Reilly even admitted that FOX News is center right, haha, try far right jackass. You claim to be a nonpartisan independent, and that is a lie, so what makes you think anyone is gonna believe that center right spin.
Then O'Reilly had another segment crying about Carter and Cosby and racism, he had Keith Watters on to discuss it. Billy said it was bull and Watters agreed with him, proving they are both idiots. Because I could show you tons of racism against Obama, yet you still deny it. Because you have to, you can not admit it because then you would have to admit that 20 to 40 percent of the Republican party are racists. So you spin out your denials, just like you deny FOX attacks Obama 24/7, when we all know it's true, including you, but you just refuse to admit it, and that's what you call a real reality check, jerk.
Then the fair and balanced O'Reilly had the far right lunatic Glenn Beck on, the guy who lost 60 advertisers because he called Obama a racist who hates white people, the story you refuse to report on. The two of them sat around agreeing with each other and talking about how great they are for getting Van Jones to resign, and for getting the Acorn funding killed. O'Reilly promoted the hell out of the Beck book, and even held him over for a 2nd segment.
O'Reilly told Beck how great he is, how he is a great journalist that's doing good work, called him brilliant, and basically kissed his ass. And that's being a nonpartisan independent? The only people who like Beck are far right nuts, so I guess we can add Billy to that list. And btw, only a right-winger would have Glenn Beck on his show, and the fact that you gave him one segment, let alone two, proves you are a right-wing nut too.
Then the new segment, dumbest things of the week with Greg Gutfeld and Juliet Huddy. And this segment should be called dumbest thing of the week. They each name what they think is dumb, crazy Gutfeld talked about the british comedian Russell Brand, ummmmm, huh, who fricking cares what a british comedian said, not me. Huddy had a video as her dumb thing, a kid put a basketball on a skateboard then jumped on it and the ball slammed him in the face. Yes it was dumb, but how is that news. Billy also picked a video, the DENMARK video of the woman and the baby, who fricking cares, it's from DENMARK. And it was not even real, the woman is an actress, nobody cares what happens in fricking DENMARK, loser. Cancel this segment, it's garbage.
Then the pinheads and patriots and the stupid e-mails. And another one sided biased O'Reilly Factor was over, with 6 Republican guests and 1 Democrat, and calling her a Democrat was stretching it. She was billed as a Democrat, then she agreed with O'Reilly 80% of the time, and that's no Democrat.
O'Reilly Wins Right-Wing Media Courage Award By: Steve - September 19, 2009 - 8:30am
Last night O'Reilly did the show from Washington, but he failed to mention why he was in Washington, hmmmmm, I wonder why......Oh yeah, because he was there to get a media courage award from the right-wing Family Research Council, for his reporting on the late Dr. George Tiller, or as O'Reilly called him, Tiller The Baby Killer.
The award was given to him at the Republican Values Voter Summit, by the far right family Research Council. O'Reilly was awarded the conference's first-ever "Media Courage Award." In his announcement of the award, the president of the Family Research Council Tony Perkins specifically cited O'Reilly's demonization of murdered abortion doctor George Tiller. Perkins said this:
Perkins: O'Reilly spoke the truth, bringing new light to a gruesome procedure. On behalf of our co-sponsors and millions of values voters, we want to express our gratitude to a culture warrior who uses his national platform to promote life-no matter what the personal or professional costs.
But O'Reilly rarely spoke the truth about Tiller, who was murdered by a radical anti-choice extremist. Instead, O'Reilly made outrageous comparisons, saying things such as, "This is the kind of stuff happened in Mao's China, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Soviet Union." O'Reilly regularly referred to Tiller as "Tiller the Baby Killer" and even called him "Dr. Killer" after his death.
This is a right-wing media courage award, given out by a far right group, at a Republican Values Voter Summit. They gave the award to a man who claims to be a nonpartisan independent with a no spin zone, who is fair and balanced. Yeah right, and I'm Donald Trump too.
And what a shocker, not. O'Reilly never mentioned it on his show, and the media was banned from his speech. The Washington Independent's Dave Weigel even snapped a picture of the sign letting them know that they couldn't get in:
And it was a media courage award, which is ironic because they did not even have the courage to let the media in to see it. If O'Reilly is a nonpartisan independent as he claims, why is he accepting a media courage award from a far right group, at a Republican Values Voter Summit, while trying to keep it a secret.
Here is a partial list of speakers who will be giving a speech at the event: Rep. Michele Bachmann, Gary Bauer, Bill Bennett, Rep. Roy Blunt, Rep. John Boehner, Rep. Eric Cantor, Mike Huckabee, Terry Jeffrey, Sen. Mitch McConnell, Bill O'Reilly, Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Rep. Mike Pence, Tony Perkins, Gov. Rick Perry, Carrie Prejean, Gov. Mitt Romney, and Rep. Tom Price, all Republicans.
Yeah that sure looks like a place a nonpartisan independent (with a no spin zone) would give a speech and get an award, not!
FOX News Dishonesty About The Media Is Stunning By: Steve - September 18, 2009 - 8:30pm
Fox News is a joke, In this morning's Washington Post, the Fox News Channel took out a full-page ad saying nobody reported on the tea party protest but them. The ad said: "How did, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN miss this story?"
At the bottom of the FOX News ad it said "we cover all the news" which is also ridiculous, because they ignore a lot of news that is negative to Republicans. And the statement is a lie, because CNN and the rest of the media did cover the tea party protests, they just did not cover it non-stop all day long as FOX News did.
It makes one wonder: Did Fox's marketing department even bother to check on its competitors coverage before they made these claims, it sure as hell dont look like it.
Here are the facts, something FOX failed to mention. It took me all of 30 seconds to search CNN and MSNBC for Tea Party coverage on Saturday, September 12. By my rough count, on September 12, CNN ran no less than 14 reports on the Tea Party rally, beginning at 7:00 a.m. During the same time period, MSNBC had four reports on the Tea Parties.
CBS reported on the story during the six-o'clock and eleven-o'clock news broadcasts, NBC did the same during its six-o'clock and seven-o'clock broadcasts and ABC covered the Tea Parties in all three evening broadcasts. ABC News Radio even referenced the rallies in 69 separate broadcasts. So no one missed the story.
Seems to me it was someone at Fox News who missed the story. And btw, since they are #1 in the ratings, and so powerful now, why do they care what the other media outlets are reporting. They claim to be the most trusted name in news, then they get caught lying every day, proving they are not to be trusted.
New Gallup Poll Shows Town Halls Had No Effect By: Steve - September 18, 2009 - 11:30am
During the month of August when Congress was on vacation we saw the town hall meetings on tv, and we also saw the fake right-wing astroturf protesters, who were bused in by right-wing think tanks shouting people down and disrupting the meetings. O'Reilly and everyone at FOX News claimed it was making a difference, and that most people are now opposed to the Obama health care plan.
They even cited a poll from IBD this week that said 62% oppose it, and 39% support it. But that poll has proven to be a fraud, and not scientific. Just scroll down my blog to read the details.
And now the truth, Back in early August Gallup ran a poll on health care, that poll had 39% would direct their member of Congress to vote against it, and 37% to vote for it. And now a new September Gallup Poll finds that 39% say they would direct their member of Congress to vote against the healthcare bill, while 37% want their member to vote in favor. Showing the numbers have not changed at all, and that the town hall meetings had no effect.
It was 39 to 37 in early August, and it's still 39 to 37 a month later. Proving that O'Reilly and his gang of right-wing stooges, were just making it up when they said the town halls were changing peoples minds about the Obama health care plan. It was all right-wing propaganda, from O'Reilly and everyone at FOX News, none of it was true, they just made it all up.
FOX Using Unscientific IBD Doctor Poll By: Steve - September 18, 2009 - 10:30am
On Wednesday I reported that Dick Morris used a bogus poll from IBD, and O'Reilly did nothing to report the truth about it. Well now we find out the poll was not even a scientific poll, meaning it's pretty much worthless. Here are the details.
Several Fox News stooges have cited a recent Investor's Business Daily poll which found that two of every three practicing physicians oppose the medical overhaul plan under consideration in Washington. But Nate Silver points out the poll is simply not credible, and Fox News itself acknowledged that the poll is not scientific. And btw, only FOX News is quoting that poll, nobody on CNN has reported it, and nobody on MSNBC has used it.
In a September 16 post to his blog at FiveThirtyEight.com, Silver listed five reasons why the IBD poll should be completely ignored:
1. The survey was conducted by mail, which is unusual. The only other mail-based poll that I'm aware of is that conducted by the Columbus Dispatch, which was associated with an average error of about 7 percentage points -- the highest of any pollster that we tested.
2. At least one of the questions is blatantly biased: "Do you believe the government can cover 47 million more people and it will cost less money and th quality of care will be better?". A pollster who asks a question like this one is not intending to be objective.
3. As we learned during the Presidntial campaign -- when, among other things, they had John McCain winning the youth vote 74-22 -- the IBD polling operation has literally no idea what they're doing. I mean, literally none. For example, I don't trust IBD to have competently selected anything resembling a random panel, which is harder to do than you'd think.
4. They say, somewhat ambiguously: "Responses are still coming in." This is also highly unorthodox. Professional pollsters generally do not report results before the survey period is complete.
5. There is virtually no disclosure about methodology. They do not explain how their randomization procedure worked, provide the entire question battery, or anything like that.
Silver added: "There are pollsters out there that have an agenda but are highly competent, and there are pollsters that are nonpartisan but not particularly skilled. Rarely, however, do you find the whole package: that special pollster which is both biased and inept. IBD is one of the few exceptions."
During Neil Cavuto's discussion of the IBD poll on September 16, the on-screen graphic indicated that the poll was "not scientific."
Morris: "In the Investor's Business Daily poll that just came out, by 2-to-1 doctors oppose his plan, and 45 percent of the doctors said they would personally consider retiring or ending their practice if it passes, which will make the shortage even worse." [The O'Reilly Factor, 9/16/09]
Bill O'Reilly: Trying to get new health care bill passed in America is obviously a major problem, and we have some new poll numbers to show you. Investor's Business Daily has a poll which shows 65 percent oppose Obamacare. Just 33 percent support it. And 45 percent of doctors say they will consider leaving their practice or retiring early if Obamacare passes." [The O'Reilly Factor, 9/16/09]
Sean Hannity: A new poll shows that a whopping 65 percent of doctors oppose the bill and 45 percent would consider quitting their practice entirely or retiring early if it's passed. Well, then we'll really know what a doctor shortage really looks like." [Hannity, 9/16/09]
Folks this is flat out dishonest journalism, the conservative biased IBD does an unscientific poll that's worthless, then all the right-wing stooges at FOX cite it, and nobody else in the media except people at FOX use it. No valid media outlet uses a poll that is not scientific, which is exactly what FOX News is doing.
Then on top of that dishonesty, they ignore the scientific poll on the issue that shows 73% of doctors support the public option, and that poll was done by actual doctors at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Think about it, how can anyone at FOX be an honest journalist, when they do not report the scientific poll, but they do report the unscientific poll.
And what a shocker, the bogus unscientific poll they do report from IBD says doctors oppose the Obama health care plan, and the scientific poll they did not report says the exact opposite. It's about as dishonest as a journalist can get, proving that FOX News has a massive right-wing bias, including Bill O'Reilly, who claims to be a nonpartisan independent. It's 100% dishonesty, and if you have an ounce of integrity in your body you will see that FOX News is corrupt, and biased.
The Thursday 9-17-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 18, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Acorn's Anger, and yes it was another TPM on Acorn. Basically O'Reilly said they are done, toast, and then he broke his arm patting himself and FOX News on the back for getting their funding killed. O'Reilly said it shows just how powerful the conservative media is, except he has denied they have a conservative bias, oops, you just admitted FOX is a right-wing news network Billy.
Then O'Reilly had two right-wing stooges on to discuss it. Tammy Bruce and Mike Gallagher were on, and Billy declared how the right-wing media is all powerful. Except, if they are so powerful how did Obama win in a landslide, even after FOX spent 24/7 for a year calling him a traitor who pals around with terrorists. They got a low level Obama advisor to resign, and they got the federal funding cut for Acorn, is that real power? Is Van Jones not more dangerous now out of the Government, and is it not possible Acorn will continue to do what they do with private money now, and probably more than they got from the Government. Billy, what say you, even Glenn Beck said Van Jones is more dangerous now, and Acorn will just continue on with private money.
Gallagher talked about the tea party protest and said over a million people were there, but O'Reilly actually called him on it. Billy corrected him and told him the D.C. Fire Dept. said it was 75,000. So here we are 5 days after the teabagger protest, and these right-wing idiots are still lying that over a million people were there. Even though every website on the net has debunked it, they still lie, proving what dishonest people they are. And they also talked about Obama killing the Bush Missile Defense nonsense, Bruce flipped out and said Obama is not protecting us, even though the damn thing dont even work. Simple balloon decoys can fool the interceptor missiles.
Bruce also made a total fool of herself, she said not only do most people oppose the Obama health care plan, she said the majority of people in America hate Obama. Which is just insane right-wing propaganda, as I type this Gallup has Obama at 51% approval, 41% disapproval, so unless I'm crazy 51% approval is a slight majority, and they do not ask if you hate the president in any polls I have ever seen.
Then O'Reilly had a foreign policy segment with the far right nut-job Michael Scheuer. O'Reilly trashed Obama for killing the Bush missile defense program, O'Reilly said doing it helps Putin and Russia, and of course the right-wing nut Scheuer agreed with him. In case you may not know, Scheuer is the right-wing nut who called for Bin Laden to attack us with a nuke so it would stop the Obama agenda. And this is the lunatic O'Reilly puts on to do an analysis of the Obama foreign policy. Scheuer said Obama is making us less safe, and called him a liar over the info they got from torture. This nut calls the president a liar and O'Reilly said nothing, not a word.
Scheuer claims Obama has lied about the success of the torture Bush used, and that there is a secret report nobody has ever seen, or heard about, that proves he is right. And O'Reilly bought it, hook line, and sinker, with no proof, just the word of Michael Scheuer. Hey Billy, what happened to that no speculation rule you claim to have, and the crap about how you only deal in the facts. This garbage is all speculation, with no facts, and no proof of what he claims. And yet, you let this neo-con fool spin that crap out with no way to prove it. Then Mr. massive ego said now they will have to declassify it because it was talked about on the all powerful O'Reilly Factor, hold on, bwahahahaha, yeah right, get a grip man.
Then Geraldo was on to report on the Annie Le murder case. Geraldo talked about some of the evidence they have, and O'Reilly said of course you are innocent until proven guilty, but he did it. Dear Bill O'Reilly, you just convicted him on tv, before the jury has been selected, and before he has had a trial. So the innocent until proven guilty thing is history now, especially since you are so powerful, haha.
The next segment was the almighty culture warriors, the two Republican FOX News stooges, Margaret Hoover and Gretchen Carlson. They talked about Jimmy Carter saying there is racism against Obama, and how Bill Cosby agrees with him. And what a shocker, O'Reilly, Carlson, and Hoover, all disagreed with Carter and Cosby. I guess they are deaf, dumb, and blind, Limbaugh had the Barack the Magic Negro song, they did the Obamabucks with watermelon, chicken, and ribs on them, they did the photoshopped pic of AF1 with Ni66er on the tail, all the racist jokes by e-mail, etc. etc. etc. I guess they just forgot all that.
But then later in the segment they admitted there is racism against Obama, and they cited a FOX News poll, which is where I always go to get info on racism in America, not. The FOX News poll said 20% of the people are racist, now imagine what it really is, because you know most people will not admit to being a racist. The real number is probably more like 40%, yet O'Reilly said he does not even believe the 20% that was in a FOX News poll. Then O'Reilly just guessed, he said it's most likely no more than 15% of the country that's racist, where did he get those numbers, he pulled them out of his ass of course.
And btw, let's just say 15% of the country is racist towards Obama, even though your own fricking poll says 20%, guess what Billy, that's proof that there is racism against Obama, after you said Carter and Cosby are wrong, so your own poll proves they are right and you are wrong, dumbass. Not to mention, the FOX poll also has Obama at 54% job approval, maybe Tammy Bruce should read it, or have someone read it to her insane right-wing ass, because it shows that 54% (a majority) of the people approve of Obama.
Then Megyn Kelly was on and boy was she mad, mad about schools teaching gay friendly courses with no opt out. Billy and Kelly hated it and they were both outraged schools would force kids to take these gay friendly courses. And now for some reality, it's 1 class a semester. The course teaches kids to not harrass or bully kids, it's a 1 class a semester anti-harrassment/anti-bullying course, and these two right-wing nuts are opposed to that. What's ridiculous is that they are opposed to that, and that they would waste time on a tv news shows crying about it. O'Reilly even called it indoctrination, but Kelly disagreed. The whole segment was just stupid.
Then the no reality Reality Check segment, with no reality and no checks, just O'Reilly reporting on stupid things and giving his opinion of them. And yet, still nothing about the great ratings the new Jay Leno show is getting. Then the pinheads and patriots and the lame (highly edited) Factor e-mails. And another totally one sided right-wing biased O'Dummy Factor was over, with 7 Republican guests, and 0 Democrats, as in none.
O'Reilly Let Morris Spin A Doctor Poll On Obama HCP By: Steve - September 17, 2009 - 3:30pm
Last night on the Factor O'Reilly let Dick Morris spin his right-wing ass off about the doctor support for the Obama health care plan. He said by a 2 to 1 margin doctors oppose it, then he cited a poll from the right-wing IBD, Investors Business Daily. For anyone who does not know it, IBD is a right-wing business magazine, they are all Republicans who hate Obama and everything they do. It's called poll cherry picking, they know the RWJF poll is out there showing 73% of doctors support the public option, yet they ignored it to only report the poll from the conservative IBD.
To give you an example of their bias, IBD is one of Sean Hannity's favorite sources to use when smearing Obama or other liberals. They are the Media Research Center of the business magazine industry, and they have no credibility. A real journalist would have reported both polls so the people can decide which one to believe. Billy let Morris report the IBD poll, while ignoring other polls that say the opposite.
Notice that O'Reilly let Morris use that biased poll with no objection, proving that he wants Morris to be dishonest, because he is also opposed to the Obama plan. And now a real poll on the issue, taken by actual doctors from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. And remember this folks, O'Reilly has never mentioned this poll, ever, and not once has he had any doctors who support the Obama plan on his show, not one time.
Physician Views on the Public Health Insurance Option and Medicare Expansions
A Robert Wood Johnson Foundation survey summarized in the September 14, 2009 edition of the New England Journal of Medicine shows that 62.9 percent of physicians nationwide support proposals to expand health care coverage that include both public and private insurance options-where people under the age of 65 would have the choice of enrolling in a new public health insurance plan (like Medicare) or in private plans.
The survey shows that just 27.3 percent of physicians support a new program that does not include a public option and instead provides subsidies for low-income people to purchase private insurance. Only 9.6 percent of doctors nationwide support a system where a Medicare-like public program is created in lieu of any private insurance. A majority of physicians (58%) also support expanding Medicare eligibility to those between the ages of 55 and 64.
In every region of the country, a majority of physicians supported a combination of public and private options, as did physicians who identified themselves as primary care providers, surgeons, or other medical subspecialists. Among those who identified themselves as members of the American Medical Association, 62.2 percent favored both the public and private options.
The survey was conducted between June 25 and September 3, 2009 by Salomeh Keyhani, M.D., and Alex Federman, M.D., of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. While the survey was conducted in several "waves" over a tumultuous summer for the health reform debate, no statistically significant differences were identified in physician responses throughout the summer.
The Wednesday 9-16-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 17, 2009 - 9:30am
Before I start the Factor review I thought I would point out that O'Reilly talked about the new Jay Leno show last week, and said it could bomb, and that if it does NBC is done, which is ridiculous, but that's what he said. So Jay Leno had 18 million viewers Monday, and 11 million Tuesday, and guess what, O'Reilly never said a fricking word about it. But you can bet the farm if he was getting 3 million viewers a night, O'Reilly would have been all over that. Proving once again how biased he is, because a real nonpartisan journalist would have reported his ratings after talking about his show.
The TPM was called Voting To Fund Acorn. For a 2nd night in a row O'Reilly attacked 7 Senators for voting against taking the Acorn funding away, even though it passed 83 to 7. Billy even sent his stooge to ambush them, they basically said it was political, and that if a person breaks a law fire them and prosecute them, but do not punish the entire company for the actions of a few. And it is political, it's a partisan story that pretty much only Republicans are reporting. And O'Reilly reports it every night, while claiming he is not a Republican. Then O'Reilly called for the Feds to investigate, and asked how much it has damaged Obama, ummmmmm, huh?
Earth to O'Dumbass, it has not damaged Obama at all, because he does not work for Acorn, and he has nothing to do with who they hire, or how they run their business. It's ridiculous to say it has damaged Obama, and only a partisan right-wing idiot would do that, which is exactly what O'Reilly did. Obama is the president, he is not running Acorn, and does not work for them. And anyone who links Obama to the Acorn scandals is a dishonest partisan right-wing hack. That's you O'Reilly, and all of FOX News.
Then O'Reilly pulled his usual partisan biased garbage, he put the right-wing Dick Morris on to agree with him, while not having any Democrats on to give the counterpoint. It's called bias, and a one sided interview. And of course Morris said Obama is linked to Acorn, even though he only worked for them one time as an attorney, and that was 13 fricking years ago. It was just ridiculous one sided partisan right-wing propaganda. All these right-wing idiots, including O'Reilly, are trying to link Obama to the Acorn scandal, because they think it will hurt him politically, which it wont, because he has nothing to do with the scandal, yet they try to link him to it anyway. Then they sit there and claim to be fair and balanced, and nonpartisan, give me a break.
Morris is a partisan joke who does nothing but smear Obama and try to make him look bad. He even lied again that the Obama health care plan would cut medicare payments, when it's a total lie. Now get this, O'Reilly told Morris that it was unfair to link Obama to Acorn, because he has nothing to do with them, so he admits it, yet he spent half the show linking Obama to Acorn, it was insane.
Then Morris cited some bogus right-wing biased poll from Investors Business Daily, they hate Obama and have nothing but Republicans working for them. Morris said that by a 2 to 1 margin doctors oppose the Obama health care plan, which is a flat out lie. If you just scroll down you can see a poll that shows 73% of doctors support a public option, proving Morris is a partisan hack who cites bogus right-wing polls. And btw, the fact that O'Reilly never has any doctors on to discuss it also proves that Morris is a liar. Because if most of them did oppose it, O'Reilly would have some of them on to discuss it.
Then O'Dummy had the Barack & A Hard Place segment with Alan Colmes and Monica Crowley. Colmes said right-wing partisans are using the Acorn scandal to smear Obama, by wrongly linking him to a scandal he has nothing to do with. And O'Reilly agreed with him, then admitted it was unfair, but said it's happening anyway. Then O'Reilly said the partisans on the right are using the Acorn scandal to unfairly smear Obama, as if he was not doing it, when he is. The man has lost his fricking mind. Earth to O'Jackass, you are doing it too, you just spent 20 minutes smearing Obama and linking him to the Acorn scandal with your stupid TPM and Dick Morris. Did you forget that?
O'Reilly even said the Acorn story has marginalized Obama, which is just insane, and only a right-wing idiot would say that. The Acorn scandal has not hurt Obama at all, because he has nothing to do with it, and only Republicans are saying it has hurt Obama for partisan political reasons. Then O'Reilly put the dishonest and biased right-wing fraud pollster, Frank Luntz on to smear Obama with more Acorn garbage. It was a one sided partisan hit job, and not even worth reporting. Luntz is a biased pollster, and anyone who uses him for anything is also biased, because only Republicans use Luntz for anything.
And btw, here is my opinion on the Acorn scandal. Acorn is a big company, and it looks like thay have a few bad apples who broke some laws, so they should be fired and investigated, and if they did break laws they should be prosecuted. But the entire company should not be punished because of what a few bad apples did. If one store manager at a Wal-Mart is caught breaking a law you punish that one manager, not the entire company, unless you can prove his boss (or bosses) told him to break the law, then you fire them and punish them too, but you dont punish the entire company.
Then O'Reilly put a Republican on to discuss the Obama health care plan. Billy had Nina Owcharenko from the fricking Heritage Foundation on, which is about as right-wing as it gets. And of course no Democrat to give the other side, so it was a one sided biased interview. As expected she trashed it all and she hates Obama, so she is not objective. Notice that O'Reilly does not have doctors or nurses or health care experts on to discuss it, he digs up some right-wing hack from the far right Heritage Foundation to smear the Obama plan. Which is something only a right-wing hack would do, it's not fair and balanced, and it's not what a nonpartisan independent would do. This is classic O'Reilly tactics, claim to be a fair and balanced nonpartisan, then fill the entire show with right-wing partisans to do your dirty work.
Next up was Laura (Far Right Nasal Nose Voice) Ingraham to trash everything liberal and Jimmy Carter. Billy and Laura both slammed Carter, when all he did was tell the truth about some of the racism out there against Obama. Ingraham was mad and said the charges of racism against Republicans are ridiculous, and as usual she misrepresents the issue. Both of them claimed Carter called all Republicans racist, simply because they criticize Obama, when that is not even close to what he said. Carter said some of the attacks on Obama are racist, which they are, but he did not say all Republicans are racist, or that anyone who disagrees with Obama is a racist.
Carter simply said there is some racism against Obama, and he is right, it's out there and I have reported on some of it here in my blog, and on this website, so it's a fact. Yet O'Reilly and Ingraham deny it, O'Reilly even said he has no evidence to back up his claims, which is just insane. What about the Obambucks Billy, what about all the racist e-mails sent out by Republicans, what about the photoshopped photos of Ni66er on the tail of AF1, what about the white house lawn watermelon patch photos, and on and on. That's racism, you may not understand think so, but that's your fault you are so biased you ignore it, then claim it's not there.
They also claimed that when people like Jimmy Carter cry racism it hurts Obama, HOW? Obama is not saying it, and nobody in his administration is saying it, so how in the hell does it hurt Obama, it's just ridiculous right-wing garbage. Especially when it's true, because there is racism out there against Obama. Then O'Reilly asked Nasal Nose about Acorn, he said all the folks hate Acorn and it's a scandal that is hurting Obama. Of course Ingraham agreed, when it's only the right-wing folks who hate Acorn. But it is not hurting Obama, except maybe with Republicans, nobody else even links Obama to it.
And btw, the right is trying everything they can to hurt Obama politically, by linking him to every scandal there is, even when he has nothing to do with it. And O'Reilly is right there at the head of the class, yet he claims he is not part of the right-wing smear machine against Obama, which is just laughable. Earth to O'Liar, you just did an entire show using all right-wing partisans to smear Obama, and link him to the Acorn scandal, hello!
Alan Colmes was the only Democrat on the entire show, and he had to share his time with Crowley and O'Reilly, so he barely got a word in. That's fair and balanced in O'Reilly world, have 6 Republican guests and 1 Democrat, plus a right-wing host, so it was actually 7 to 1, with the 1 Democrat barely getting to talk in 1 segment with 2 Republicans against him. Then the other 56 minutes was all Republican spin, or as Billy calls it, the nonpartisan independent no spin zone.
The last segment was just stupid, it's called Did You See That with Jane Skinner, another FOX News stooge. Billy played a video of a blonde woman in DENMARK, she was holding a baby and asking if the man who is the father would contact her because she does not know who he is. They were outraged over this video, even though it was put out in fricking DENMARK, so who cares, not me. Earth to morons, we are in America, nobody cares what some idiot in fricking DENMARK does, ever. Now get this, the woman is an actress, and it was not even real. It was some kind of strange video put out by the DENMARK tourism department.
So these two idiots were outraged over a fake video from DENMARK, my God who cares, nobody, especially here is America. Either report on video from America or drop the segment, it's stupid. Then they showed a video of a fight on a school bus. Ok, why, what's the point, it's not news. This entire segment is garbage, it's just another way for O'Reilly to put some right-wing blonde FOX News bimbo on for ratings. It has no news value at all, it's pure tabloid crap for ratings.
Then the pinheads and patriots and the lame e-mails. And another totally one sided biased O'Reilly Factor was over. Note to O'Reilly, having 6 Republicans and 1 Democrat is not fair and balanced, it's not even close, especially when the host is also a Republican. These right-wing idiots are so partisan (including O'Reilly) that if a bear attacked and killed someone they would blame it on Obama somehow.
The Tuesday 9-15-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 16, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Acorn's Collapse. O'Reilly did an 8 minute rant about the recent Acorn story. Played more video from the tapes, and attacked the media for not reporting it as much as FOX. Billy said FOX has done 300 Acorn stories in the last year, and that CNN has only done 90, then he implied the media is corrupt for not reporting it as much as FOX has. Hey O'Reilly did you ever think FOX has done too many, guess not. Then O'Reilly linked Obama to it, when he has nothing to do with a few local Acorn idiots who fell for their stings. So the biased O'Reilly used it to smear Obama, as he usually does when Obama has nothing to do with any of it.
Billy also cried about 7 Democratic Senators voting against cutting the federal funding to Acorn, when the other 93 voted to end it, including the other 52 Democrats. It passed 93 to 7, and O'Reilly was mad that 7 Senators voted no. So he had Dr. Marc Lamont Hill and the crazy far right Angela McGlowan on to discuss it. O'Reilly could not even have Dr. Hill on alone, he had to stack the deck by having a 2 on 1 against him. And this nut McGlowan is one of the idiots who said there was a million people at the tea party protest last Saturday, she is a proven liar, so how are we to believe her now.
McGlowan instantly attacked Obama and said he is corrupt too, proving she is a right-wing nut. The whole segment was O'Reilly and McGlowan agreeing with each other, and Dr. Hill barely got a word in. Hill pointed out that O'Reilly left out one important fact in the story, that the two Republican actors (which O'Reilly referred to as private citizens, when they are Republican anti-abortion activists who hate Obama and Acorn) went to numerous Acorn offices in multiple states before they found anyone who fell for their scam. O'Reilly told Hill that he makes a good point, ok so why did you not report it in your 8 minute long TPM, Mr. Facts. In two days of reporting on the story, not once did O'Reilly mention that until Dr. hill busted him for ignoring that fact.
Then O'reilly had the is it legal segment with Megyn Kelly and Lis Wiehl. They talked about Congress passing the resolution of disapproval against Joe Wilson 240 to 179, and Kelly was mad. She said it was ridiculous, and a waste of taxpayer money. Earth to Kelly, they do not get paid by the hour. And what's funny is Wilson broke the house rules, yet Kelly had no problem with it. On the other hand Lis Wiehl agreed with the resolution, and said they were right to pass it. Then O'Reilly and Kelly both attacked Wiehl, and they all got into a big argument about it. O'Reilly and Kelly took the Republican side, and Wiehl agreed with the Democrats.
They also talked a little about the Yale student murder, Annie Le. Kelly and Wiehl mentioned they have a suspect who was found with a couple wounds that could be seen as defensive wounds from a person fighting back, so the first thing O'Reilly said was, he did it. Thank you Judge O'Reilly, the case is over and there is now no need for a trial or anything, just put him to death. So O'Reilly just convicted the guy on his lame cable news show, even though he has said in the past that nobody should be convicted on tv, and he has even criticized people who do it. Then they talked about some story about a soap opera, someone was fired on One Life to Live, because they refused to do a gay storyline.
The next segment was pure right-wing promotion, Billy had the crazy far right Col. Ralph Peters on to promote his book about terrorism. This Peters is a right-wing nut who wants to bomb every country in the world that has a nuke, or might get one. He is basically a neo-con lunatic. In his crazy book he claims Iran is going to nuke Israel if they ever get a nuclear bomb, so we must attack them before they do. Even O'Reilly said he is not buying it, and he does not think they will do it. But he put this nut Col. Peters on to promote his book and talk about it anyway. And this guy is the Factor military analyst, which is pretty scary, because he should be in a padded room next to Glenn Beck, not doing military analysis on a news show.
Then Dennis Miller was on to do his usual garbage, make jokes about liberals and trash Obama. They talked about the tea party protest, and O'Reilly said all the protesters are just average Americans, ignoring the fact that the whole thing was run and paid for by Insurance companies and right-wing think tanks. And that they were hoping to get 1 to 2 million protesters, but only about 75,000 showed up. Which is probably about the number of people they bused in for it, to make it look like real people are opposed to what Obama is doing.
And btw, has anyone but me noticed that O'Reilly has never had any doctors or health care experts on the Factor to debate the issue. Not once has he put a doctor, or a health care expert on to discuss the Obama health care plan. Maybe that's because a new survey shows that 75% of doctors support some kind of a public option.
So instead of having doctors and experts on, he has Dick Morris and Laurn Ingraham on to discuss it, who are nothing but biased partisan right-wing hacks. Near the end of the segment Miller and O'Reilly trashed the Obama health care plan, and Miller said the Government screws up everything they run, which is ridiculous. Then they trashed Kayne again, and Miller made a couple unfunny jokes about it.
Then Billy had the waste of time Great American News Quiz, with the dumbass Steve Doocy and the even dumber Martha MacCallum. The pinheads and patriots, and the Factor e-mails. O'Reilly had 6 Republican guests and 1 Democrat, and the 1 Democrat had to share the time with a Republican guest, so as usual it was all right-wing spin, all the time.
And not one word was said about all the right-wing liars like Glenn Beck saying there was 2 million people at the protest, when we all know it was 75,000, if that. In fact, Tuesday morning Glenn Beck was on FOX & Friends, and he said some university did an analysis of a photo, and reported 1.7 million people were there. The photo is 12 years old from 1997, and it's a proven fake. Yet O'Reilly never says a word about any of it. Proving he is also a right-wing stooge for not reporting the lies about the crowd numbers from the right.
Fake 9-12 Protest Photo Exposed By: Steve - September 15, 2009 - 2:30pm
Tea Party protesters trying to tout the size of their march on Washington last weekend have been passing around a photo of a packed National Mall. But the picture is years old. Politifact asked Pete Piringer, public affairs officer for the D.C. Fire and Emergency Department, if the rally was big enough to fill that space. Piringer said no -- and moreover, the picture can't be from 2009.
The photo shows the crowd going far beyond that to the Washington Monument, which is bordered by 15th and and 17th Streets.
But there's a really big problem with the photograph: It doesn't include the National Museum of the American Indian, a building located at the corner of Fourth St. and Independence Ave. That opened on Sept. 14, 2004. That means the picture was taken before the museum opened five years ago. So clearly the photo is not from the 9-12-09 "tea party" protest.
"I've seen bigger crowds at Montreal Expos games, but I still wouldn't fake a photo just to justify your predictions of millions descending on Washington," said one Democratic media strategist.
"This is grade-A stupid and just plays into the argument that these were astroturf protests to begin with. They've always brought the noise, but the question that was supposed to be answered this weekend was, could they bring the numbers? In that respect this was an unmitigated disaster."
The photo had been circulated on blogs and Twitter. A number of conservative blogs have since taken the photo down. Some have corrected their posts. However, many of them are still claiming that at least a million people attended the march. And it isn't the first failed attempt by the protesters to inflate the size of the event. On Saturday, FreedomWorks own Matt Kibbe announced on stage that ABC News had estimated a crowd of 1 to 1.5 million. ABC News had reported no such thing.
And btw, not a word about any of this has been reported on the O'Reilly Factor. The only thing Billy said is that unofficial official estimates put the crowd at 75,000, but he never said a word about all the right-wingers lying about the numbers, or the fake photo they were using.
The Monday 9-14-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 15, 2009 - 8:30am
The TPM was called March On Washington. O'Reilly said 75,000 people showed up for the Tea Party Protests, and for once he actually talked about and showed some of the hate signs, which is rare for O'Reilly, because he usually just ignores them. Then O'Reilly pulled his usual right-wing tricks, he cited a Rasmussen poll on the Obama health care plan with low numbers of support, while the other polls have it higher, as usual O'Reilly cited the one poll with the lowest numbers. Billy also attacked NBC for their coverage of the protests, he claims they were wrong to say it was a conservative protest, when that is exactly what it was, so their reporting was accurate.
And later in the show he even admits that it was almost all whites, and almost all conservatives. What's funny is O'Reilly never once mentioned how all the right-wing loons like Malkin and the right-wing bloggers, were saying 2 million people were there. Not to mention the protest was run by Republican special interest groups like FreedomWorks, they funded it, and even paid for 640 buses to get people to the protest. And of course he never once mentioned that FOX News promoted the hell out of it, and basically gave them millions of dollars in free publicity by talking about it non-stop for weeks.
Billy had Brit Hume on to discuss it, and wow was it ever a one sided biased segment, with no Democrats of course. Hume said everyone at the protest were just everyday Americans, which is just ridiculous, and he knows it. Here are the facts, the facts Brit Hume and O'Reilly failed to report.
-- The event, scheduled intentionally on September 12 to coincide with the anniversary of the day following the September 11 terrorist attacks, was conceived largely by Glenn Beck. He even has a website called the 912 project, owned by Beck's media company Mercury Radio Arts, yet Hume and O'Reilly never said a word about it.
-- In addition, a set of far-right groups are supporting the event, bringing along their members to join in on the Obama-bashing.
-- FreedomWorks, led by former Republican Majority Leader Dick Armey, has turned the gears to make the event possible. The official website for the protest, 912dc.org, is owned and operated by FreedomWorks and most of the logistical work for the march is being coordinated from its offices in DC.
-- Starting in August, Glenn Beck began directing viewers to the FreedomWorks website at the end of his Fox News show. Billed as a grassroots rally, the event is actually sponsored by organizations run by partisan GOP operatives and corporate front groups.
-- Gold Sponsor Tea Party Patriots is a website run by FreedomWorks staffers.
-- Gold Sponsor Our Country Deserves Better is a Republican PAC that also operates the Tea Party Express, a bus tour arriving in DC for the 9/12 march. Our Country Deserves Better ran an advertisement comparing Obama to Hitler, and it is managed by the GOP consulting firm Russo, Marsh & Rogers.
-- Bronze Sponsors The Heartland Institute and the Competitive Enterprise Institute are Conservative think-tanks dedicated to churning out academic-appearing reports to discredit global warming. Like FreedomWorks, both organizations are funded by David and Charles Koch of the Koch Industries oil empire.
-- Bronze Sponsor American Conservative Union is run by David Keene, a lobbyist for a firm that represents private health care companies, including the insurer HealthFirst.
-- Bronze Sponsor The Senate Conservatives Fund is a Republican Party PAC run by Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC).
Funny how O'Reilly and Hume failed to mention any of that, I guess they just forgot, haha, yeah right. The official sponsorship list also reveals an extreme element of the American right in attendance. The National Association for Rural Landowners, a bronze sponsor, references the incidents at Waco and Ruby Ridge to call for attacks on government entities and liberals. In a YouTube video posted in July, the group makes the case for a secession, followed by a violent civil war. Similarly, another 9/12 cosponsor, FreeRepublic.com, is a forum for various radical right causes. As ThinkProgress reported, the shooter at the Holocaust museum found a welcome audience for his writings on the website.
Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA), and Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) all spoke at the protest. O'Reilly mentioned that it was mostly white Republicans, and Hume said so what, most of America is white. My God, what a lame excuse. And btw, if it was white Republicans with hate signs about Obama, how in the hell can you complain when the media reports it was mostly white Republicans at the protest, when that is the truth, and you yourself even admit it. What say you Billy?
One last thing, back when 100,000 Americans turned out in New York to protest the Iraq war, O'Reilly and all his Republican pals said it was just a hundred thousand people so who cares what they think. But when 75,000 Republicans turn up for a tea party protest, O'Reilly says that's a lot of people and the Obama administration better listen to them. Quite a double standard you have there Billy, not to mention the bias and the hypocrisy.
Then the crazy far right Bernie Goldberg was on to discuss the media coverage of the protest. Goldberg said the NY Times did a fair report, but he was mad they ran it on page thirty two. And then of course he said all the TV News media was biased except FOX. Bernie was mad that they said the protest was all white Republicans with hate signs directed to Obama. When it was true, and all they did was report the facts, it was all white Republicans with hate signs toward Obama, yet Bernie was mad anyway. Goldberg and O'Reilly also cried about the racism labels against Republicans, Goldberg said he is tired of all the racist stuff.
Goldberg even said Obama is not the black president of the US, he is just the president. Wow, earth to Goldberg, Obama is a black president, what part of that do you not understand. And there is a lot of racism against him, t-shirts, bumper stickers, signs, watermelon patch photos, etc. You have to be insane to even deny it, the racism is all over the place. They just ignore it and pretend it's not there. O'Reilly cited a PEW Media study, about a lack of trust in the media. Then O'Reilly implied the people only trust FOX News, when they are also listed as not trustworthy, less trusted than CNN. Neither O'Reilly or Goldberg mentioned that fact, it's called cherry picking a media study.
Goldberg even said he has had it with the mainstream media, that we should not even call them the mainstream media anymore, and that FOX is more mainstream than any of them. Wow, get me some of what he's drinking. FOX is not even close to mainstream, they are a right-wing news outlet, and nobody even denies it but Republicans, and a lot of them will admit it. Then of course O'Reilly had to get a shot in on NBC and Jay Leno, he said if the leno show is a flop NBC is done. What a fricking joke, NBC is a national tv network that has been in business for a hundred years. And even if one show failed, they still make hundreds of millions of dollars in profits every year, and they are not going anywhere. Proving O'Reilly is an idiot who says stupid things, to smear them as revenge for what Olbermann says about him.
Then O'Reilly hammered Maureen Dowd for saying Joe Wilson is a racist, he had Juan Williams and Mary K. Ham on. And of course O'Reilly defended Wilson, even though he is a known racist, who was a member of many southern racist groups that are listed as hate groups at the Southern Poverty Law Center website. You know Ham agreed with O'Reilly, she always does, like a good little Republican robot. Williams sort of agreed with Dowd, but still did not say much. Wilson is a known racist, so the segment was ridiculous. O'Reilly just did it to defend him against charges of racism because he is a Republican too. Billy asked Ham about all the hate signs at the protest, and she said it was not that many, that the media focused on the few of them and made it look like more then there really were. Haha, nice try stooge, they were everywhere, and you could not miss them if you tried.
Then O'Reilly had Karl Rove on to tell him he was right that the public option is dead, and Rove was wrong. What was the evidence it is dead from O'Reilly, that Lindsey Graham the Republican Senator said so, lol. Even Karl Rove disagreed, and said he still thinks a public option will be in the bill. Here is my question, if the final bill is not even out yet, how in the hell can you claim to be right that the public option is not in it, Billy?
When O'Reilly asked Rove about Obama saying we need to pass the bill to cut federal spending, Rove said that claim was bizarre, and that Obama is a liar, but he would not use the actual word liar, he called him dishonest, which is the same as calling him a liar. Rove said Obama is being dishonest with the people, ummmmmmm, earth to Rove, that's calling him a liar. And O'Reilly just said really, but any time a Democrat called Bush a liar O'Reilly attacked them and ripped them to pieces. Then O'Reilly praised Glenn Beck and said he was brilliant, he was talking about the insane conspiracy Beck talks about that has Obama secretly turning the country into France. Even Rove would not go that far, saying he was not so sure, proving O'Reilly is even more far right than Karl Rove.
Then the reality check nonsense, I will not report them all, but one caught my interest. Billy reported that the two right-wing activists who filmed the ACORN sting, could be prosecuted for breaking Maryland wiretap laws. The check, was O'Reilly telling the prosecutor to stand down. Which is so funny, because O'Reilly claims to be Mr. law and order, and he has even said if we do not obey the laws we have chaos. Yet here is he asking a prosecutor to ignore the laws because two Republicans broke them. But when a Democrat breaks a law, Billy wants the Feds to investigate and screams bloody murder if they are not prosecuted, no matter how small the crime is. Proving once again that he is a biased Republican, can you imagine O'Reilly calling for a prosecutor to stand down for a Democrat, never.
Then patriots and pinheads, and the lame Factor e-mails. Oh and btw, not one Democrat was on the entire show, it was 6 Republican guests, and 0 Democratic guests.
O'Reilly's Tiller/Pouillon Comparison Ridiculous By: Steve - September 14, 2009 - 6:30pm
On September 11, a Michigan man named Harlan James Drake was arrested for the shooting deaths of two men, one of whom was Jim Pouillon, an anti-abortion activist who regularly protested outside a local high school carrying signs displaying graphic photos of aborted fetuses.
Drake's alleged motives for the shooting of Pouillon remain unclear, though The New York Times reported that a local prosecutor said Drake was annoyed by Mr. Pouillon's protests, especially when they were near schools. As President Obama said in his statement on the shootings, "whichever side of a public debate you're on, violence is never the right answer."
Bill O'Reilly, however, saw the Pouillon murder as a vehicle to attack the media for some sort of double standard, saying this on the September 11 edition of The O'Reilly Factor:
O'REILLY: All right in Michigan, very few people know about this because it's not reported in the media anywhere, we had a pro-life activist 63-year-old Jim Pouillon murdered today. Now this is just like the Tiller thing in reverse. Now this Pouillon, there he is, took his message that abortion is wrong to the public. And he was shot dead in the street. Now, you remember the Tiller outrage and all of that about the abortion doctor being murdered. Nothing, nothing so far on Pouillon.
Tiller, of course, is Dr. George Tiller, a Kansas abortion provider who was murdered on May 31. There are a couple of points to be made here. First, it's absolutely untrue that the Pouillon murder was not reported in the media anywhere. By the time O'Reilly's show went on the air Friday night, NBC's Nightly News had already run a story on the shooting, and CNN reported on it several times throughout the day, as well as posting a story on CNN.com.
Second, if there was a disparity in the coverage of the Pouillon and Tiller murders, part of the reason is that Tiller was a nationally known figure at the time of his death, whereas Pouillon was not. And Tiller's nationwide notoriety was due in large part to none other than O'Reilly, who frequently demonized Tiller on his program -- the most-watched cable news show in the country, as he so often points out -- as "Tiller the baby killer."
So as usual, O'Reilly was lying, because the story was reported all over the place. And remember that O'Reilly also complained about a lack of coverage by the media on Van Jones, even though he did not report it either, because he said it was not a big story and Jones was just a little guy. Proving he is not only crazy, he is a crazy liar, because the Van Jones story was reported by most of the media, a google search showed 55 media outlets reporting it.
Not to mention, what kind of nut job complains about a lack of media coverage, of a story he himself said was not important enough for him to report on. Bill O'Reilly, that's who. O'Reilly even helped to make Tiller famous, so he's not in any position to complain about how much media coverage Tiller received. It's real simple, if someone famous gets killed it will get a lot more media coverage, if someone who is unknown gets killed it will get far less media coverage, I guess O'Reilly is too stupid to understand that.
More Proof O'Reilly Is A Right-Wing Spin Doctor By: Steve - September 13, 2009 - 9:30am
O'Reilly is constantly defending the Bush administration, and everything they did. During segments where Bush, or anything that happened while he was president is mentioned, O'Reilly goes crazy and says we must not go back in the past. He basically says forgot all the lies and all the laws that were broken, and move forward. Which is funny because after Bill Clinton left office, O'Reilly and his right-wing friends talked about Clinton for years.
O'Reilly even wanted Clinton investigated for the Mark Rich pardon, as recently as 6 months ago O'Reilly was still talking about it, and wondered if it would ever be investigated. O'Reilly recently said Bush was actually a pretty good president for 6 years, that it's only the last 2 years that were bad. Ignoring the fact that the 6 years of Bush economic policies, like $1.2 Trillion in tax cuts to the wealthy, and the fact that the lack of oversight on big business by the Bush appointed SEC stooge, is what led to the last 2 years where he had the problems. It's like saying a football team that did not score for 3 quarters, then they score 10 points in the 4th quarter and lose 13 to 10, means the first 3 quarters did not matter.
Well now there is a report on the Bush years, and it is not good. Last Thursday the Census Bureau report on income, poverty and access to health care came out, and it closes the books on the economic record of George W. Bush. And btw, O'Reilly never reported any of this, he totally ignored it. Because it shows that during all 8 years of the Bush administration, things in America got worse, not just in the last 2 years as O'Reilly claims.
On every major measurement, the Census Bureau report shows that the country lost ground during Bush's two terms. While Bush was in office, the median household income declined, poverty increased, childhood poverty increased even more, and the number of Americans without health insurance spiked. By contrast, the country's condition improved on each of those measures during Bill Clinton's two terms, often substantially.
The report shows that Bush flunked on every relevant dimension-and not just because of the severe downturn that began last year. Consider first the median income. When Bill Clinton left office after 2000, the median income stood at $52,500. When Bush left office after 2008, the median income had fallen to $50,303. That's a decline of 4.2 per cent.
That leaves Bush with the dubious distinction of becoming the only president in recent history to preside over an income decline through two presidential terms. The median household income increased during the two terms of Clinton (by 14 percent, Ronald Reagan (8.1 percent), and Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford (3.9 percent).
What is phenomenal about the years under Bush is that through the entire business cycle from 2000 through 2007, even before this recession, working families were worse off at the end of the recovery, in the best of times during that period, than they were in 2000 before he took office.
Bush's record on poverty is equally bleak. When Clinton left office in 2000, the Census counted 31.6 million Americans living in poverty. When Bush left office in 2008, the number of poor Americans had jumped to 39.8 million (the largest number in absolute terms since 1960.) Under Bush, the number of people in poverty increased by 26.1 per cent.
The trends were comparably daunting for children in poverty. When Clinton left office nearly 11.6 million children lived in poverty. When Bush left office that number had swelled to 14.1 million, an increase of more than 21 per cent.
The story is similar again for access to health care. When Clinton left office, the number of uninsured Americans stood at 38.4 million. By the time Bush left office that number had grown to 46.3 million, an increase of 20.6 per cent.
The wretched two-term record compiled by the younger Bush on income, poverty and access to health care should compel Republicans to answer a simple question: if tax cuts are truly the best means to stimulate broadly shared prosperity, why did the Bush years yield such disastrous results for American families on these core measures of economic well being?
And think about this, O'Reilly is now opposed to everything Obama wants to do, while during the Bush years O'Reilly not only defended everything Bush did, he supported it. Then the lunatic claims to be a nonpartisan independent, when he is as partisan as any Republican, he is just not honest enough to admit it. Not to mention, I get e-mails all the time from Republicans who admit O'Reilly is a conservative, while O'Reilly denies it.
Proving that O'Reilly is a liar, who lies about his political ideology. So if O'Reilly is not even honest about his political ideology, how can you believe anything he says. Especially when all he does is spin for the right, while doing non-stop smears on the left. And ask yourself this, how many times have you heard O'Reilly call liberals left-wing loons, or far-left loons, thousands? How many times have you heard O'Reilly call conservatives right-wing loons, or far-right loons, zero!
Dick Armey Lashes Out At ThinkProgress By: Steve - September 12, 2009 - 10:30am
Why, because they exposed the truth about what FreedomWorks is doing. On Thursday, Dick Armey's FreedomWorks partnered with an anti-health reform group pushing to privatize Medicare to host a Republican rally outside the Capitol. Alongside speakers such as Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) and Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Armey proclaimed, "Give me liberty or give me death. Well, Barack Obama is trying to make good on that."
Speaking to reporters and ThinkProgress after the rally, Armey pretended that the upcoming 9/12 anti-Obama march on D.C. was entirely grassroots, and that his corporate-backed group only provided consulting. In fact, most of the groups paying for the rally are front groups and phony think tanks fully-funded by big business to create an image of public and academic support for their special interest agenda. One of the most visible organizations mobilizing the protest this Saturday is the Tea Party Patriots group. The Tea Party Patriots listserv is managed by FreedomWorks staffer Tom Gaitens. Not only is the list managed by FreedomWorks, but Armey's staffers have final say on decisions such as the logo for the event this Saturday.
Tea Party Patriots does not even hide its close affiliation with corporate front groups, since it lists FreedomWorks as a coalition partner. The Tea Party Patriots listserv was used to distribute the infamous memo from a Tea Party Patriots volunteer detailing how town hall attendees should rattle Democrats by interrupting their events with coordinated yelling and shrieks. They even make home made protest signs so it looks like average Americans made them. Some FOX News anchors even helped them by saying look at their home made signs, then claiming real protesters made them proving it's a grassroots protest.
When ThinkProgress asked Armey about this close relationship with the Tea Party Patriots, he erupted in rage. He also denied even knowing his own employee:
Q: Mr. Armey you said you have no affiliation with the Tea Party Patriots group that's organizing this rally, but isn't it true that your staff members manage the Tea Party Patriots list serv?
ARMEY: Absolutely not.
Q: So Tom Gaitens is not connected to your...
ARMEY: Who? First of all who is Tom Gaitens?
And notice that you never see any of this reported by Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, or anyone on FOX News. Armey proceeded to call the ThinkProgress reporter a juvenile delinquent.
Gaitens -- who helped organize the very first pilot tea party protests in February and demanded that folks need to intimidate Congress -- is listed multiple times on the FreedomWorks website as the Florida Outreach Director for Dick Armey. He has not only won awards from FreedomWorks, but he also helped organize a tea party this year where Dick Armey was the main speaker.
Of course, Armey's deception is the very basis on which FreedomWorks gins up support for its causes. FreedomWorks maintains several other domain addresses to promote tea party events. Last year, the Wall Street Journal exposed FreedomWorks for building amateur-looking websites to promote the lobbying interests of Armey.
The Friday 9-11-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 12, 2009 - 8:30am
Before I start the review for this show I have to say something. This O'Reilly Factor show was the most disgusting and disgraceful show I have ever seen O'Reilly do. In my 8 years of monitoring O'Reilly I have never seen such an outrageous and partisan show. This piece of shit scumbag (O'Reilly) used the fricking anniversary of 9-11, where 3000 Americans died, to do a biased and partisan attack on liberals who oppose torture and bombing Iran.
Not once did O'Reilly mention the Obama speech to honor the 9-11 victims, not once, he totally ignored it like the giant right-wing asshole he is. The entire show was used for a partisan political attack on liberals, simply because they oppose torture, which is fricking illegal btw, and because they do not support bombing Iran like he does. And on top of that, all the liberals he attacked were Hollywood stooges, like Charlie Sheen and Rosie. Billy Scumbag implied they represent the views of all the liberals, which is just insane, I even disagree with a lot of the garbage they say, and they sure as hell do not speak for all liberals.
So remember this folks, O'Reilly can never again claim to be a nonpartisan independent. This show was what I would expect from Ann Coulter, not a man that claims to be a nonpartisan independent. It was the most partisan disgraceful thing I have ever seen. Especially when it was done on the day we were supposed to honor the dead from the 9-11 terrorist attacks. In my book O'Reilly crossed the line with this show, and he is nothing but a low life right-wing scumbag. O'Reilly should be ashamed of himself, for doing such a disgraceful partisan show on the anniversary of 9-11, and I hope he rots in hell.
The TPM was called Remembering 9-11. O'Reilly thanked the Bush administration for protecting us over the last 8 years. While not saying a word about the actual attack happening on Bush's watch. Instead of thanking Bush, he should be hammering him for not stopping the attack, proving once again he is a right-wing Bush ass kissing stooge. Then O'Reilly went on to attack the Adrams group, again, for taking photos of the CIA agents. He also attacked the ACLU, and claimed liberals are helping the terrorists. Which is just pure right-wing insanity, opposing torture and opposing the bombing of Iran, when they have not attacked us is not helping terrorists, you fricking asshole.
In case you forgot, torture is ILLEGAL under US law, and International law. And if you attack a country that did not attack you first, you are violating U.N. laws and all kinds of laws. Just because you right-wing freaks want to bomb every country you do not like, does not make it right. And people who oppose bombing a country that did not attack us, does not mean they are helping the terrorists, you giant dumbass loser.
O'Jackass had Leslie Marshall and Ellis Henican on. They both said if the CIA broke laws and used torture they should be investigated. And I agree, but I do not think they should be prosecuted for it. They should find out who ordered the torture, then prosecute them, even if it was Bush and or Cheney. The top officials who ordered the torture should be prosecuted, not the CIA officers who were just following orders, and that is what I (as a real liberal) think about it. O'Dirtbag also implied that all liberals support this Adams group taking photos of CIA agents, WRONG. Marshall and Henican are both opposed to it, and so am I, in fact, I bet most liberals oppose it.
let me be clear, I do not think anyone should be taking photos of CIA agents, ever, period, never. Is that clear enough for you, dumbass. So stop saying liberals support it, because we dont, you are a liar.
Then O'Jerkoff asked Henican and Marshall if they support an attack on Iran, and they both said no. So O'Reilly basically called them soft on terror fools, and asked them for a solution to the Iran problem. They said they dont have one, and why should they, they are fricking journalists, not elected officials in Congress. What planet do you live on, elected officials are voted in by the people to provide the solutions, not fricking journalists, so it was a stupid question to begin with. get a Congressman or a Senator and ask them, it's not the job of a journalist to come up with a solution for the Iran problem, you giant right-wing idiot.
Then Geraldo was put on to smear Charlie Sheen. And he did, Billy and Geraldo sat there and cried about some nonsense Charlie Sheen said about the 9-11 attacks and Bush. Ummmm, who cares what he says, he is not an elected official, and to use your own words. He is a hollywood pinhead that nobody should listen to, And I agree. Here is my question to O'Jackass, you keep saying they are hollywood pinheads we should not listen to, so why do you keep reporting all the crazy garbage they say. Stop reporting what they say, they do not speak for me, only my Congressman and Senators do, so get a clue jerk. Find an elected official and talk to them, and get off the hollywood idiots, nobody cares what they say, even most liberals.
Then O'Loser had Dan Senor and the Crazy Col. David Hunt on to talk about terrorism and Afghanistan. I guess Col. Hunt got out of the padded room for a day just to do the Factor, because he is crazy as Beck. I bet they have connecting rooms at the mental institution. Then O'Fool asked a ridiculous question, he asked why Obama has not captured Bin Laden yet, ummmmmm, huh? Obama has been in office 7 months, and I think he has more important things to do, like fix the economy, the one Bush ran into the ground. Not to mention, not once in the 8 years of Bush, did O'Jerkoff ask why Bush has not captured Bin Laden yet. It was just insane, Bush spent 8 years trying to get him and failed, yet Obama is the bad guy for not getting him after 7 months, give me a break. Since you are so fricking powerful, why dont you go find Bin Laden tough guy.
Billy asked Crazy Col. Hunt if he could get Bin Laden, and he said yes, haha. He said he would just invade Pakistan and go get him, without their permission. Which is just insane, and even Bush did not do that. Yet they criticized Obama for not doing it, when even their hero Bush knew that would be a bad idea, and he never did it either. Then they hammered liberals for opposing more troops to Afghanistan, when a lot of Republicans oppose it too, hell even George Will wrote a column saying we should pull all the troops out, and he sure as hell is not a liberal. It was just a ridiculous one sided biased segment with 3 Republicans, who sat around and trashed Obama and all the liberals. It was so crazy I thought I was watching a comedy skit on MadTV, not a so-called news show.
Then O'Partisan had the body language bimbo on, which I refuse to report on because it's nonsense and not news. But I will say that O'Reilly told her when he did the Axelrod interview he stopped him from using his talking points. And that he never lets ANYONE use their talking points, haha, after falling off my chair from laughter I was like huh? O'Liar has Republican after Republican on every night to spin out their talking points non-stop. Like Dick Morris, Karl Rove, Laura Ingraham, etc. Every one of them is allowed to put out their talking points every time they are on. For O'Jerkoff to say he never lets anyone put their talking points out is crazy. He may stop Democrats from doing it, but he sure as hell dont stop any Republicans from doing it.
Then O'Reilly had the crazy Glenn Beck on. They both cried about some crap the rapper Jay-Z said, I was like who fricking cares, he is a rapper, not an elected official who was put in office by the people. These rappers and hollywood celebs do not represent the Democratic party. Yet that is who Beck and O'Reilly attacked as representing all liberals. It's just ridiculous, it would be like me attacking Ted Nugent as a right-wing nut, then claiming he represents all Republicans, which he dont, because he is not an elected official. But O'Reilly is such a partisan right-wing hack he goes after Sheen, Rosie, and Jay-Z, and claims they speak for all liberals.
And of course Beck and O'Reilly talked about ACORN. Beck said ACRON is corrupt, even though only one local office was caught doing anything wrong, and O'Reilly called for all their federal funding to be cut off, like he had any power to do that, which he sure as hell dont. Then they attacked the SEIU union, and bragged about how great their ratings are. Billy also mentioned that beck cried on his show today, and that's news? The blubbering idiot is always crying, it's normal now, haha.
Then O'Reilly had a new segment, and my God was it lame. He calls it the dumbest things of the week. And of course two right-wing stooges from FOX were on to do it. Stuart Varney and Juliet Huddy were on to give their dumest thing of the week. And O'Reilly also has one too, so it's three right-wing idiots, not two. Varney cried about the ad in Brazil, about planes crashing into the world trade center buildings. It was a stupid ad, but it was run in Brazil, so why in the hell should we care. I dont care what happens in Brazil, and neither do most Americans. Huddy actually picked Joe Wilson, the right-wing idiot who yelled Liar to Obama. And O'Reilly picked Howard Dean, for something he said O'Reilly did not like. And talk about dumbest thing of the week, it was that segment.
Then the pinheads and patriots and the Factor e-mails. And the worst most disgusting partisan right-wing show O'Reilly has ever done was over. The entire show was a disgrace to journalism, and Bill O'Reilly is a low life scumbag for doing such a partisan show on the anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. It was a non-stop partisan attack on liberals, with 7 Republican guests, and 2 Democratic guests. And if you ever see O'Reilly claim he is a nonpartisan independent ever again, just remember this show, and remember that he is a scumbag right-wing liar.
P.S. I am sorry if this blog posting has offended anyone, I just reported what I saw, and it was a disgrace. To do a show like this, on 9-11, after you claim to be a nonpartisan independent, is the lowest thing I have ever seen a so-called journalist do, and that is my opinion. I stand by every word I wrote, and I am ashamed that Bill O'Reilly is an American.
The Thursday 9-10-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 11, 2009 - 9:30am
The TPM was called Health Care Reaction. O'Reilly said Obama put a happy face on his health care plan, and then he cited some study by The Lewin Group. Billy said the Lewin group is an independent, nonpartisan think tank. Which is just insane and a 100% lie. The SEIU Union even has a petition that calls for Republicans to stop attacking Health Insurance reform with Insurance Company-Owned Research. Here is what it says on their website:
The Washington Post revealed that the Lewin Group - which is commonly cited by Republican lawmakers as an "independent, nonpartisan" think tank - is owned by a health insurance company. It's time to demand that they come clean about their sources.
So you have O'Reilly quoting a study done by a group that is owned by an Insurance Company. The study that only Republicans are quoting, which means he knowlingly lied about them on purpose, because everyone knows the Lewin group is partisan, and owned by an Insurance Company. Then O'Reilly put his right-wing spin on the entire Obama speech, and said that Obama is not being honest, he actually said Obama is dodging the truth. Which is basically calling the president a liar.
Here is what got me a little mad, a new poll says 67% of the people liked the Obama speech and now support his health care plan. The same people were polled before the speech, and only 53% supported it then, that went up to 67% after the speech. So what does O'Reilly do, ignored the whole damn thing. Even though his TPM was called Health Care Reaction, then he ignored the reaction. Billy did not even report the poll at all, not a word. If that's being fair and balanced I'm Babe Ruth.
Then O'Reilly had George Stephanopoulos on to discuss the Obama plan, and the speech. The first thing O'Reilly said to him was just ridiculous right-wing spin. O'Reilly said it's Obama's fault people are confused. Which is just insane, if anyone is confused it's because of people like O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, FOX News, The Lewin group, etc. You guys have put out so many lies about the Obama health care plan, half the country believes those lies. To blame the confusion on Obama is Glenn Beck type insanity. And only a total right-wing idiot would even make such a ridiculous and partisan claim.
Stephanopoulos pretty much disagreed with O'Reilly on everything he said, and at one point O'Reilly mentioned that Stephanopoulos is a Democrat, then he said he is an Independent. Which is just laughable, he is as far right as Gingrich or Ingraham, he just wont admit it, and he keeps lying that he is a nonpartisan, just as he lied about the Lewin group. The entire show was nothing but right-wing spin and hate for Obama, and his health care plan, O'Reilly is opposed to 99% of what's in it. Earth to Billy, that's called being a Republican. And btw, Stephanopoulos was the only Democrat on the entire show.
Then the big independent O'Reilly, haha, had Ann Coulter on to discuss the Obama speech and his health care plan, and Billy even called it being fair and balanced. Okay, let me get this straight, you have 6 Republican guests on to smear and trash Obama for an entire hour, but you have 1 Democrat, so that equals fair and balanced? On what planet is 6 to 1 balance. And Ann Coulter is so far right you should have 2 Democrats on to balance her out. So then O'Reilly mentioned the Joe Wilson liar comment, he called him a pinhead, and asked Coulter what she thought of it. And of course Coulter loved the guy, and called him the greatest living statesman in America.
Here is my question, how come Joe Wilson was not mentioned with the 1 Democrat guest, and how come an entire segment was not done on it. All the other News shows did 5 or 10 minutes on it, and had at least one entire segment about it, except the shows on FOX of course. If Wilson was a Democrat who did that to Bush, O'Reilly would do half a show on it and rip the guy to pieces. And btw, all during the 8 years of Bush lies, not one Democrat ever called him a liar during one of his speeches to Congress. Coulter defended Wilson, called him a hero, and said he was telling the truth. When we know he was lying, because the bill says no federal money will go to anyone who is not a legal citizen.
O'Reilly even called Coulter out, he said that the bill says no money to illegal immigrants. Coulter said Obama is lying, and O'Reilly said you dont know because the bill is not out yet. She said I dont care, and that even if it says no money for illegal immigrants, they will still get it to them somehow. Proving she is an insane right-wing lunatic, and yet O'Reilly gives her a forum on the #1 cable news show to spew out her lies. Then he calls that balance, when it was 6 Republican guests to 1 Democrat guest. And the Joe Wilson scandal was not even mentioned with the Democrat guest.
Next up was more one sided right-wing insanity, Billy put the crazy far right Obama hating Col. Ralph Peters on, to talk about 9-11 and an article he wrote about it for the right-wing NY Post. This article attacks liberals, he claims they are not doing enough to protect the country, like torture people as his hero Dick Cheney did. And btw, if you dont know, this Col. Peters is a right-wing nut that hates Obama and all Democrats, and never has one good word to say about any of them, no matter what they do. He's like the Dick Morris of military analysts, and what does it say about O'Reilly that this Obama hating right-wing lunatic is his military analyst.
Peters had nothing good to say about liberals and Obama, even though it's been 7 months and we have not been attacked, so Obama is protecting us just as Bush did. Not to mention, Cheney stopped the torture in 2005, so it's been 4 years and no attacks, without torturing anyone. This nut job Peters said Obama does not understand the pain of 9-11, and even O'Reilly said that is not fair. And you know you are a far far right nut when O'Reilly thinks you went too far with an attack on Obama, haha. When O'reilly said that was not fair, Peters told him that's your opinion. This a-hole Peters is as crazy as Glenn Beck, and when O'Reilly asked him if he gives Obama any credit for what he is doing in Afghanistan, Peters said no, none.
Proving he is a right-wing lunatic, and this is the guy O'Reilly has for a military analyst. His military analyst used to be another Col. who was also a right-wing nut, Col. David Hunt. He is the nut who said we should invade all the Arab countries, take their oil, and all their money from the Arab banks. He was canned for being insane, and then O'Reilly replaced him with another right-wing military analyst. They are all crazy far right idiots who hate Obama and say the dumbest garbage you ever heard. What does that say about O'Reilly, it tells me he loves insane right-wing lunatics to be his military analyst. Which is something a real nonpartisan independent would never do.
Then the two Republican culture warriors Margaret Hoover and Gretchen Carlson were on. Billy had a viewer warning about some tabloid crap with Pam Anderson. She did a sexy PETA ad and of course O'Reilly had to show it, over and over and over, so he could talk about it for ratings. Then O'Reilly cried about an anti-aids ad in FRICKING GERMANY, ummmmmmm, why? Earth to O'Reilly, seriously, why are Americans supposed to care about an anti-aids ad in GERMANY, please explain that to me, and your brainwashed viewers.
Then the Republican Megyn kelly was on to discuss three ridiculous so-called news stories that nobody, and I mean no-body cares about. More ACORN crap, they even claimed that nobody is reporting it but FOX News, except that's a lie, a lot of the media is reporting it, including CNN and the LA Times.
They also talked about a radio station contest where a woman drank too much water and died, while tragic, it's not national news, it's a local news story, or a story for Geraldo and Nancy Grace. Then they talked about the woman track runner that could be half woman, half man. How is this news for a national news show, answer, it's not. It's just nonsense to get Megyn Kelly on the show for ratings, because she is a hot blonde Republican, and O'Reilly agrees with her politically.
Then the insane and ridiculous Factor Reality Check segment. The one I refuse to report on because it's worthless, with almost no reality check on any of it. Mostly it's just O'Reilly reporting what a liberal said, then he gives you what he calls a reality check. Which, in reality, is just his right-wing spin on what they said. And no reality checks are ever done to Republicans, all the so-called reality checks are on liberals.
Finally the pinheads and patriots, and the ridiculous, highly edited, hand picked by Billy, Factor e-mails. And for anyone that does not know it, O'Reilly hand picks those e-mails he reads, and then he edits them big time. I have seen actual copies of e-mails sent to him, and then I saw what he read on the air, and it was not even close to what they wrote. He takes a 200 word e-mail and edits it down to 20 words, and he removes all the stuff he dont like. So the e-mail he reads on the air is nothing like what was sent to him, they are 100% bogus, and do not represent what they person was trying to say.
O'Reilly Caught Spinning An ACORN Story By: Steve - September 11, 2009 - 9:10am
Yeah I know, what a shocker, not. Here is the story, Two employees at the Baltimore, Maryland, branch of ACORN were caught on tape allegedly offering advice to a pair posing as a pimp and prostitute on setting up a prostitution ring and evading the IRS. O'Reilly had a segment on this with Megyn Kelly, where he claimed ACORN was caught giving people advice on how to cheat on their taxes. Now here is all the information O'Reilly left out, he never mentioned any of this.
-- The video footage he used has been edited and goes to black in some areas. He never mentioned any of that, and only played a 10 second clip, not the whole thing.
-- The video was recorded and and posted Thursday by James O'Keefe, a conservative activist. He was joined on the video by another conservative, Hannah Giles, who posed as the prostitute in the filmmakers undercover sting.
-- A local ACORN spokeswoman told The Associated Press that both employees seen in the video were fired. Billy never mentioned that either.
-- These same conservative filmmakers unsuccessfully attempted similar ruses at the ACORN offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles, California, and New York. Billy never said a word about any of that.
-- It had nothing to do with voter fraud, it was a bogus sting set up by partisan conservative activists. They just kept going to ACORN offices until they found a couple local idiots in Baltimore to fall for their scam.
-- During the segment O'Reilly said nobody has reported it but FOX News. When a simple google search will show that many News outlets have reported it.
-- The filmmakers could be liable for criminal action, for taping people without telling them in the state of Maryland. They could get up to 5 years, and O'Reilly never said a word about it.
-- The video was put out by Drudge pal Andrew Breitbart. He is the Hollywood conservative who is on the FOX News Channel all the time, and the same guy who trashed Ted Kennedy after his death on his twitter page.
O'Reilly failed to report any of this. And for a so-called journalist he sure left a lot of info out of the story. Btw, Here is a partial list of News outlets that have reported it. CNN, AP, the Los Angeles Times, The Fort Worth Star Telegram, ABC News, The Baltimore Sun, The Examiner.com website, Associated Content, The American Spectator, and on and on.
Not to mention the story just broke late Thursday night, so a lot of media outlets will probably report on it today, after they have had time to investigate it. But according to O'Reilly, only FOX News had reported it, when google had 55 media outlets listed as reporting the story on Thursday night.
Funny how O'Reilly just happened to leave all that info out, I guess he simply forgot to mention it. And then he calls what he does honest journalism by a nonpartisan independent.
O'Reilly Caught Lying About The Lewin Group By: Steve - September 11, 2009 - 7:40am
In his talking points memo on 9-10-09 O'Reilly said the Lewin group was a nonpartisan independent think tank owned by UnitedHealth. This is a lie, in reality, it's a partisan right-wing think tank, that only Republicans claim is nonpartisan and independent. Here are a few quotes about them from a 7-23-09 Washington Post article.
Insurer-Owned Consulting Firm Often Cited in Health Debate
By David S. Hilzenrath
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, July 23, 2009
The political battle over health-care reform is waged largely with numbers, and few number-crunchers have shaped the debate as much as the Lewin Group, a consulting firm whose research has been widely cited by opponents of a public insurance option.
To Rep. Eric Cantor (Va.), the House Republican whip, it is "the nonpartisan Lewin Group." To Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee, it is an "independent research firm." To Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (Utah), the second-ranking Republican on the pivotal Finance Committee, it is "well known as one of the most nonpartisan groups in the country."
Generally left unsaid amid all the citations is that the Lewin Group is wholly owned by UnitedHealth Group, one of the nation's largest insurers.
More specifically, the Lewin Group is part of Ingenix, a UnitedHealth subsidiary that was accused by the New York attorney general and the American Medical Association of helping insurers shift medical expenses to consumers by distributing skewed data. Ingenix supplied UnitedHealth and other insurers with data that allegedly understated the "reasonable and customary" doctor fees that insurers use to determine how much they will reimburse consumers for out-of-network care.
In January, UnitedHealth agreed to a $50 million settlement with the New York attorney general and a $350 million settlement with the AMA, covering conduct going back as far as 1994.
Funny how O'Reilly never mentioned any of this, I guess he just forgot, yeah that's it, he simply forgot that they are a corrupt group, who paid a $50 million dollar settlement for their 19 years of fraud on the American people. And this is the group O'Reilly claimed is nonpartisan and independent, who then cited their study to use against the Obama Health Care plan.
Earth to O'Reilly, the Lewin group is owned by a fricking Health Insurance Company. In what world is that a nonpartisan independent group. Only in O'Reilly world, and only a right-wing stooge would cite their study, or claim they are nonpartisan and independent.
Ask yourself this, would a so-called nonpartisan independent TV News Host, on the FOX News Network, cite a study from a group owned by a Health Insurance Company, then use the biased study to smear a Democratic president and his Health Care Plan, one day after he gave a speech to the Nation and Congress about his Health Care Plan. Charges related to loyalty or patriotism O'Reilly Ignores Joe Wilson Lie Outburst By: Steve - September 10, 2009 - 1:10pm
Here are some headlines: Republican Joe Wilson Widely Denounced...Joe Biden: I Was Embarrassed For Congress...Rep. James Clyburn: Wilson's Apology "Cowardly"...Sen. Arlen Specter: He Needs To Do More...Wilson Is the Poster "Child" for the New Republican Party...Specter Calls for Censure of Wilson...Wilson's 'Lie' Yell Boosts Rival, Sparks Backlash...Wilson's Congressional Opponent Raises $100,000 From Outburst.
And yet, O'Reilly the so-called great journalist who reports all the facts, ignored the entire story. Last night Joe Wilson etched his political legacy into the wall of American history. He will forever be the poster child that symbolizes the new Republican Party. Even a few Republicans claimed to be outraged, here are some of those comments.
Eric Cantor: "Obviously, the President of the United States is always welcome on Capitol Hill. He deserves respect and decorum. ... I know that Congressman Wilson has issued an apology and made his thoughts known to the White House, which was the appropriate thing to do."
John McCain called the outburst "totally disrespectful." And said, "There is no place for it in that setting, or any other, and he should apologize for it immediately."
Of course that is what they say in public to be politically correct. Look what the Republicans really think about it, they love it. On FOX News Rove and Cavuto thought it was great, and all the far right blogs and websites are calling Wilson a great American hero.
Some on the right think he deserves to be rewarded. The conservative website RedState.com has declared Wilson a "great American hero" for his actions and launched a fundraising effort for the lawmaker. "He gets a drink on me!" wrote founder Erick Erickson. Republican strategist Patrick Ruffini has also been encouraging Republicans to donate to the congressman. Rob Miller, Wilson's Democratic opponent, has already raised well over a hundred thousand dollars from the incident.
Of course the freepers at www.freerepublic.com loved it. One freeper wrote this:
Support needed for Joe Wilson, who told the truth to power. I just sent a contribution to Joe Wilson. Joe is the Congressman who got so mad he called Obama a liar during Obama's speech last night.
Another freeper wrote this:
After I made a contribution, I sent him a note thanking him for finally speaking for us. I told him to be fearless and to continue to tell the truth.
SEND MONEY! It is a message to the GOP. We WILL ONLY SUPPORT those who speak for us.
Republicans love the man who called Obama a liar, and yet O'Reilly ignored it all, he did the entire show last night without saying one word about it. And btw, Rob Miller, Wilson's Democratic opponent in 2010, has already raised well over a hundred thousand dollars from the incident.
The Wednesday 9-9-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 10, 2009 - 10:20am
The TPM was called health Care Address. O'Reilly said he liked a couple things Obama called for, and hated some other things. But he hated most of it, probably 90% or more, and even said it might be unconstitutional, again, even though that garbage has already been debunked by many legal experts. Then O'Reilly had the far right partisan hack Karl Rove on to discuss the Obama speech. O'Reilly asked him to say what he liked, and what he did not like. Rove said he liked the way Obama gave the speech, and that he is great at giving speeches. That took about 10 seconds, then the next 3 min. and 50 sec. was a non-stop partisan right-wing attack on everything Obama said.
Rove basically said Obama lied about everything, he called the president a liar. And O'Reilly sat there like a stump on a log, now remember back to any time a Democrat called Bush a liar, Billy cut them off and attacked them, but when Rove does it he says nothing. The entire analysis was ridiculous, from a biased partisan who hates Obama and never has anything good to say about him. Near the end of this ridiculous interview Billy said the public option is gone, and Rove disagreed. Somehow O'Reilly thinks Obama killed the public option in that speech, when nobody else thinks that, not even Karl Rove.
Then O'Reilly had the Democrat David Axelrod on to discuss the speech, and we saw the real O'Reilly in this interview. The first thing he said to him was that the Obama speech was too long, Axelrod disagreed. Billy told him that he could have wrote that speech for Obama and it would only be 15 to 20 minutes, Axelrod said no thanks. What gets me is that not once during the 8 years of George W. Bush, did O'Reilly say his speeches were too long. It's bias, and a double standard. And just more proof O'Reilly is a right-wing hack of a pretend journalist.
Not to mention the Axelrod interview was totally different from the Rove interview. Billy let Rove go on and on with his partisan attacks on Obama, he almost never cut him off, and never talked over him. Axelrod was constantly being talked over, and cut off, he could barely get 10 words out before O'Reilly would cut him off and or talk over him. O'Reilly would ask him a question, then before he could answer it Billy would cut him off and make a statement, or ask him another question. It was ridiculous, and more proof O'Reilly is biased to the right. O'Reilly was argumentative and combative, Axelrod answered all his right-wing talking points from Rove and Morris, and yet O'Reilly acted like he was lying.
O'Reilly cited Dick Morris, of all people, Mr. never gets anything right, and said if the Obama plan is passed there will not be enough doctors and nurses, and then they will have to ration care. Axelrod said that was ridiculous, and tried to explain why, but O'Reilly just shook his head and said that he was wrong. Basically O'Reilly disagreed with everything Axelrod was saying, based on what Rove and Morris have told him, two of the biggest partisan right-wing hacks in the country. And then he claims he is not a partisan, while he uses the Rove/Morris propaganada to attack the Obama health care plan. If that's not a partisan, there is no such thing.
At the end of the interview O'Reilly lost what little of his mind he has left. He told Axelrod to have Obama come and do his show, because the whole world watches him, really, the whole world? Wow, since when is 3.5 million people the whole world, it's not even 1% of Americans, let alone the whole world. Billy is so full of himself, because he has the #1 rated show in cable news, he thinks the whole world is watching him. Earth to O'Reilly, how about some reality here, you are a right-wing hack, who hosts a lame partisan cable news show, you average 3.5 million total viewers a night, which is about 1% of the people, which means 99% of the people do not watch you. Now that's a reality check.
Then O'Reilly had Alan Colmes and Monica Crowley on, he asked them to grade the Obama speech, Colmes gave it a B+ and Crowley gave it a D-, haha, what a shocker, NOT. Giving that speech a D- is proof Crowley is a right-wing joke, not to mention she called Obama a snake oil salesman, while O'Reilly said nothing. But if a Democrat called Bush a snake oil salesman Billy hammered them. Colmes said it was a great speech, and O'Reilly called him a kool-aid drinker. Then O'Reilly said he is not on the right, that he is in the middle, yeah and I'm Donald Trump too. He hated 90% of what Obama said, and that's being in the middle? O'Reilly repeated his garbage that Obama threw the public option out the window in that speech, Colmes disagreed, and even crazy Crowley disagreed. O'Reilly sees things that nobody else does, he is the only person I watched, who thinks Obama killed the public option in that speech, even Rove and Crowley disagreed with him.
And btw, when Obama said the plan will not cover any illegal immigrants, a crazy Republican Congressman from South Carolina (Joe Wilson) yelled out "Lie." This was totally disrespectful, and an outrage that had never happened before during a presidents speech. And yet, O'Reilly never even mentioned it one time, never said a word about it in the entire show. The rudeness shocked even veteran political observers such as NBC's Chuck Todd, who wrote on Twitter, "Wow. What's next a duel?" republican Joe Scarborough also wrote, "Whoever shouted out that the president was lying is a dumbass who should show the President respect."
On CNN, Sen. John McCain said that Wilson's outburst was "totally disrespectful": "He should apologize immediately." Rep. Jeff Flake said, "I thought that was unfortunate. Obama's the president. He deserves more respect than that." But over on FOX Business News, Karl Rove and host Neil Cavuto thought Wilson shouting at the President was hilarious. "Joe Wilson, good guy," said Rove. "Lovely," agreed Cavuto.
After Obama's speech, chief of staff Rahm Emanuel approached two Republican House leaders, Roy Blunt and Paul Ryan and said, 'No president has ever had that happen,' and urged them to have the lawmaker apologize immediately. Within an hour of the speech Wilson not only put out a written apology, he called Rahm Emanuel and told him he was sorry. But if you watched the Factor, you would not even know it happened, because Mr. I'm in the middle and not a Republican, ignored the entire story. Now imagine what O'Reilly would say if a Democratic Congressman had called Bush a liar, in the middle of a speech to the country. O'Reilly would scream bloody murder and do half the show on it, but when a Republican does it, he ignores the whole fricking story. If that's a non-partisan who is in the middle, I'm Newt Gingrich.
The next segment was about Global Warming, why, I have no fricking clue. Suddenly out of the blue O'Reilly does a Global Warming segment, when the show was about the Obama speech and health care. Billy trashed Greenpeace for something they said about the California fires, then he said they refused to do his show. So instead of getting someone else to give their side of the story, as a real journalist would do, O'Reilly put some right-wing Anti-Global Warming nut on all by himself. His name is Joe Bastardi, he denies that Global Warming is happening, and even claims the planet is getting cooler. When 5,000 climatolagists disagree with him, and he is just a local weather guy. O'Reilly even said Bastardi had the facts, and that the reason Greenpeace refused to do the show is because they were scared of him.
Here is my question, how can O'Reilly claim to believe in Global Warming, then do a biased one sided segment with a right-wing Global Warming denier. Not once did O'Reilly ask him to explain how the planet could be getting cooler when all that ice in Greenland etc. is melting. He just sat there and let Bastardi spin out all his nonsense, then admitted he had the facts. Proving once and for all that O'Reilly is lying when he says he believes in Global Warming. Because nobody who actually believes in it would do a one sided biased segment like that. And I would bet O'reilly never even asked Greenpeace to do the show, but of course that is speculation on my part.
Next up was Dennis Miller, but who cares what he thinks about anything, he is just a has been that never was. Miller trashed the Obama speech and said he dont trust him. Then he made some joke about Pelosi and her looks, he said she looks like a walleye. Which is insulting and disrespectful, she is the speaker of the house who deserves some respect. Not to mention the hypocrisy and double standards. Because when Letterman or Conan do a Sarah Palin joke O'Reilly flips out and attacks them. Then he has Miller on to do the very same thing to Nancy Pelosi, but he has no problem with that, and even thinks it is funny. Just once I wish someone would ask O'Reilly, how the hell he can complain about Palin jokes, when he has Miller on every week to do Pelosi jokes.
The last segment was with Dr. Marc Lamont Hill. The first thing crazy O'Reilly said to him is that liberals will not be happy with the speech, Hill disagreed, and so do I, and I am a liberal. I liked the speech, and I thought it was great, I give it an A- grade. O'Reilly kept saying the far left is gonna hate it, that Obama killed the public option, and that it was too long. When everyone disagrees with that, except O'Reilly. O'Reilly showed that he hated 90% of it, while saying he is in the middle, which proves he is a far right idiot. Dr. Hill basically disagreed with all the right-wing spin from O'Reilly, and O'Reilly said Hill was drinking the kool-aid.
They also talked about Van Jones and Dr. Hill defended him. And finally someone pointed out the hypocrisy and double standards from O'Reilly, Dr. Hill said O'Reilly was a hypocrite because he never says a word about the birthers and all the right-wing loons on the right. And as I have shown before O'Reilly calls liberals left-wing loons and nuts, but never once calls anyone on the right a right-wing loon or nut. He just uses far right, but never calls them far right loons, or far right nuts as he does to liberals. Proving once again he is biased to the right, and not even close to the middle, he is only in the middle in his warped mind.
Then pinheads and patriots, and the lame e-mails. And another ridiculous, all spin zone, O'Reilly Factor show was over. Billy spent the entire show hammering Obama, his health care plan, and his speech. He agreed with almost everything the Republican guests said, while disagreeing with everything the Democrat guests said. He said Obama was lying when he said the medicare fraud cuts would help pay for it, doubted all the claims from Obama, and basically called the president a liar. Then he says he is in the middle, if that's the middle, I'm on the right, it was just ridiculous.
The Tuesday 9-8-09 O'Reilly Factor Review By: Steve - September 9, 2009 - 9:20am
O'Reilly was back from vacation with the usual Obama attacks using all Republican guests. The TPM was called CIA Agents At Risk? Billy reported on some group called the Adams group that was taking photos of CIA agents. He was outraged, and even sent Griff to ambush a woman who is in the group. O'Reilly was mad as hell and called for the AG Eric Holder to investigate the group. Then he attacked Obama and said he better stop them or he is gonna make Billy mad, or some crap to that effect. What's really funny is how O'Reilly suddenly cares about the CIA, back when bush and Cheney outed a CIA officer for political revenge O'Reilly defended it and made excuses for Cheney.
Then O'Reilly mentioned the Van Jones story, he said he was astounded that Obama would let a man like that work for him. Then he had the crazy Glenn Beck on to discuss it. It was basically a lovefest, Billy told Beck how great he was for getting Jones to resign. Now imagine what O'Reilly would say if a liberal tv news host got a Bush advisor to resign, he would call it wrong and un-American, but when a conservative tv news host does it O'Reilly thinks it's just great. Then it went into super crazy land, O'Reilly said he did not cover the Van Jones story because he was a little guy with no power. Beck disagreed strongly, he had to, because he just spent two weeks smearing that man.
Beck went into his marxist communist crap about Jones and O'Reilly said he knows all that already, and dont care. Basically O'Reilly just debunked all the attacks on Jones by Beck, saying he was a nobody, a nothing, so he did not even report on him. But of course Beck said O'Reilly is wrong, and that Van Jones is a dangerous communist marxist. Even O'Reilly did not buy it, proving that Beck is just a lunatic who got a nobody to resign. Then Beck even admitted Jones is more dangerous out of the Government, than he is in it, which is exactly what Arianna Huffington wrote in her blog, she even thanked Beck for getting him to resign, haha.
Next up on the all right-wing guest factor was Bernie Goldberg. Billy put him on to discuss Van Jones and Charlie Gibson, and of course no Democrat was on with them. Now pay attention to this part, it shows that O'Reilly and Goldberg are partisan morons. Billy and Bernie argued that the so-called liberal media ignored the Van Jones story, until after he resigned. Okay, here is the good part. O'Reilly just told Beck in the previous segment that even he did not cover the Van Jones story because he was a nobody, a nothing, a little guy.
Insanity Alert: O'Reilly complains that the liberal media did not report on the Van Jones story. Then he says he did not report it because Jones is a little guy. Okay, ummmm, so O'Reilly is part of the liberal media now? I dont get it, how can you complain about the so-called liberal media ignoring a story that you yourself ignored.
O'Reilly to Beck: "I didn't cover this Van Jones thing... because he's a little guy. It doesn't really matter to me."
I think it may be time for Billy to retire, he does not even make sense anymore. One minute he says the Van Jones story was nothing, and not worth reporting, then 5 minutes later he says the liberal media is biased for not reporting it, when he did not report it either. Earth to Billy, please look into an increase of your medication. And that is not even the craziest thing O'Reilly said in the segment. While talking about Charlie Gibson leaving ABC News, O'Reilly speculated that Gibson quit because of the sarah Palin interview he did where he asked her what the Bush doctrine was, and she did not know.
O'Reilly (aka Kreskin) speculated that the Palin interview pissed off all his viewers, then Gibson took some heat for it, so he quit. Ok, back to reality sparky. Even Bernie Golberg disagreed and said that was total speculation, then O'Reilly admitted it was just his theory. And for once Goldberg actually made sense about something, he told Billy that could not be true because most of the people who watched Gibson hated Palin. Then O'Reilly said, but his ratings dropped. Of course they did, but it had nothing to do with the Palin interview. The ratings for all the media dropped after Obama got elected, except for FOX News. As their ratings went up leading up to the election, they dropped when it was over, case closed idiot.
The fricking Palin interview had nothing to do with it, ratings for news shows go up before important elections, especially one with Obama in it. To even claim the ratings for Gibson went down because of an interview with Palin, that happened a year ago is just insane. Billy loves to call for the feds to investigate things, well I am calling for the feds to investigate if O'Reilly actually has a college degree. Because I dont believe he has one, and if he does, he is one of the dumbest people to ever get one.
Then Juan Williams and Mary K. Ham were on to discuss the Obama speech Wednesday night. Funny how O'Reilly mentioned that FOX will not show it, even though NBC, ABC, and CBS are. But he never attacked them for it, when one of the big three did not show a Bush speech he did. Just more double standards and hypocrisy. Billy asked them if Obama can do any good with the speech, and of course the partisan stooge Ham said no, because she is a right-wing Obama hater that never says anything good about Obama. And btw, remember when Bush was president and liberals criticized him, O'Reilly said they are just Bush haters who hate America. but now when all these Republicans criticize everything Obama does (including O'Reilly) he does not call them Obama haters who hate America.
Probably because he is one of them, it's just funny to me how that works. In O'Reilly world, if a liberal criticizes a Republican president you are an America hater. But if a conservative criticizes a Democrat president you are a great American. Anyway, Juan actually disagreed with Ham, for once. But O'Reilly was dishonest about the polls, he said the people oppose a public option, when some polls show they support it, depending what poll you cite. Juan pointed that out, and O'Reilly said he was nuts. O'Reilly did say that if Obama does a good speech he could change some minds, ham did not think so. Then he went into crazy land again, Billy said if Obama bombs not only will his health care bill die, his administration will die.
Which is just ridiculous, and nothing but right-wing nonsense. Remember this folks, they said the same thing when the Clinton health care plan failed. They said he was done and a 1 term president. Then he went on to be the president for a 2nd term, and was one of our best presidents. They also said the Clinton economic plan would destroy the economy, how did that turn out, haha, we had 8 years of economic boom. So they were wrong about all of it, as usual. And think about this, they are saying the Obama stimulus has been a failure, when only 25% of it has been put in place, and it's an 18 month plan. The economy is improving, and the Obama stimulus is working, they just refuse to admit it because they are partisan idiots who do not want to give Obama credit for anything.
Then O'Reilly had some right-wing nut Steve Milloy on to smear GE some more, as revenge for Keith Olbermann exposing him as a biased right-wing fraud of a journalist. It was all garbage, speculation and rumors, and not even worth talking about. They have no proof of any of it, just their word.
Then Billy had the is it legal Republican idiots Lis Wiehl and Megyn Kelly on. They talked about David Earls and Billy claimed credit for getting more charges against the man. Even though Geraldo reported on it a lot, more than O'Reilly, he even went to Oklahoma and reported on it live, yet they failed to give Geraldo any credit. Not to mention, it's all speculation, and they have no proof their reporting forced the Oklahoma AG to charge him with more crimes. They just say it did, with no proof.
They also talked about the Obama school speech, Billy played one clip from John Harwood at NBC, saying the parents who opposed the speech are nuts. O'Reilly implied that was an example of liberal media bias, when Harwood is a conservative who worked for the Wall Street Journal, he is just a smart conservative who did not put out the right-wing propaganda on it. In fact, O'Reilly, Kelly, and Wiehl all defended the right-wing nuts who opposed the Obama speech, as expected. Because they are as crazy as Ingraham or anyone at FOX who opposed it. Billy said if they dont want their kids to hear it they have a right to say so, Kelly and Wiehl were mad the school made them watch it, when it was not mandatory. And they had no problem when Bush Sr. did the same damn thing.
Then the "no reality" Reality Check segment. It's just O'Reilly putting his spin on a few news stories, basically he plays (out of context) 10 second clips of something a liberal says, then he trashes what they said. The usual right-wing crap, he trashed Howard Dean, Rev. Wright, and Bill Moyers. No reality check, just O'Reilly disagreeing with what they said. And one so-called reality check was just stupid, Billy played a video clip of Sonia Sotomayor dancing, and that was it. How in the hell is that a reality check on anything. It was just done to embarrass her, and so O'Reilly could make fun of her dancing. There is no reality in the reality check segment, just right-wing spin on reality. And there are never any reality checks on Republicans, only Democrats.
Then the pinheads and patriots nonsense, and the lame, highly edited, hand picked by O'Reilly, Factor e-mails. And another one sided totally right-wing biased O'Dummy Factor was over, with 7 Republican guests and 0 Democratic guests.
O'Reilly Was For Czars Before He Was Against Them By: Steve - September 8, 2009 - 9:30pm
All these right-wing talking heads like O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity, Ingraham etc. are now saying presidential czars are wrong and unconstitutional. Well, well, well, isn't that special, because 7 or 8 years ago O'Reilly actually called for president Bush to appoint more czars. Here are a few things they said recently:
Referring to the appointment of Alan Bersin as the Department of Homeland Security's assistant secretary for international affairs and special representative for border affairs, Gretchen Carlson stated on Fox & Friends that Obama "has now appointed a border czar, another czar. You know, when I looked up 'czar' in the dictionary, or Googled it, the word that came up was king. And I was wondering to myself why we are having so many czars-slash-kings now." Moments later, Fox News aired a graphic that asked, "And Now We're Russia?" The graphic had photos of 4 Obama czars with Russian head gear photoshopped on their heads.
Criticizing Obama while guest-hosting The O'Reilly Factor on August 31, Ingraham stated: "Americans have seen now seven months of far-left government in action. What does that mean? Massive spending programs, Washington's takeover of the auto companies, the perpetual apology tour overseas, and dozens of unelected czars with unchecked power.
On the September 3 O'Reilly Factor, with Ingraham guest-hosting, Angela McGlowan stated of Van Jones: "People like this czar goes against the Constitution. You have Cabinet members that are supposed to report to the president. What are we, in Russia having -- having czars?"
On the September 7 edition of America's Newsroom, Fox News played ominous Russian music while discussing Jones resignation. During the segment, onscreen text read: "Do Presidential 'Czars' Pose Threat to Constitution?"
You get the picture, suddenly it's wrong and unconstitutional to have czars, and it's Russian too. But when Bush had all his czars they said nothing, they were silent. Nothing about it being unconstitutional, nothing comparing it to Russia, not a word. On top of that, O'Reilly even called for Bush to appoint more czars, so it was good thing then, when a Republican was in the White House. Now it's an evil plot and unconstitutional when a Democrat does the same damn thing. Folks this is hypocrisy to the 100th degree, not to mention a massive double standard. And btw, guess who started using czars, Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, both Republicans. And half the Obama czars were created by George W. Bush, Obama did not even add them, he just changed the people that were already doing the same jobs.
Just look what Billy said way back when:
O'Reilly called for appointment of "immigration czar" in 2002
O'REILLY: A presidential counsel should be appointed immigration czar and clean out the INS once and for all. This pitiful government agency has put all of us in danger. It simply does not perform, and all the excuses in the world don't cut it.
O'Reilly called for "charity czar" in 2001
O'REILLY: The Red Cross is now committed to distributing most of the $530 million it has collected for the 9-11 families, but not all of it. We'll tell you about that tomorrow. Talking Points continues to ask for the appointment of a charity czar to coordinate all the money and organizations.
O'Reilly called for "disaster relief victims family czar" in 2001
O'REILLY: Yeah, there should be somebody appointed by the federal government, a disaster relief victims family czar, to do it.
O'Reilly repeated call for "charity czar" in 2002
O'REILLY: It's time for Congress to act and for the president to appoint a charity czar to oversee the money and hold the charities accountable. This is an enormous problem and one that must be corrected.
Ruh-Roh, Busted. Let me get this straight, when a Republican is president, Czars are great and we need more of them. But when a Democrat is president somehow Czars are wrong, evil, and unconstitutional. This is how it works in the right-wing world of Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, and pretty much all of FOX News. It's the ultimate double standard, and the ultimate hypocrisy, not to mention total one sided bias.
Just look at what they say, it's ridiculous right-wing propaganda that smears the president over the very thing Bush did when he was in office. Now look at this graphic, and O'Reilly wonders why Obama hates FOX News.
Evidence Of FOX News Bias For O'Reilly By: Steve - September 8, 2009 - 10:30am
About 2 weeks ago president Obama said there is an entire news network that does nothing but trash him 24/7, and of course we all knew he was talking about FOX News, even though he never mentioned them by name. Bill O'Reilly also knew he was talking about FOX News, because he did a couple segments crying about Obama saying it. During these segment O'Reilly pretended he had no idea why Obama would not like the FOX News Network, and flat out denied FOX News has any bias against Obama. In fact, O'Reilly went even farther, he not only denied they had any bias, he said Obama would be stupid to talk bad about FOX.
That is all right-wing spin, to even deny FOX has a bias against Obama is laughable. Just look at their prime time hosts, Beck, O'Reilly, and Hannity. The three of them do nothing but smear, spin, and lie about Obama. The three shows have 99% Republican guests that do nothing but spew out right-wing propaganda and lies about Obama and the Democrats. Then you add FOX & Friends in the morning, Cavuto in the afternoon, and it's wall to wall Obama bashing. If you counted the negative to positive things said about Obama on FOX, it would be 10 to 1, and the 1 positive is said by the rare liberal guests they put on. O'Reilly even said if you have evidence of any FOX bias, send it to him and he will report it.
Over the last few years I have sent O'Reilly evidence of their bias a hundred times, and not once has he reported any of it. So it's useless to send him anything that does not fit his right-wing agenda. A new report shows that FOX News has been totally biased in favor of the people who oppose the Obama health care plan. FOX claims to be fair and balanced, if that's true how could they have one sided coverage of the health care debate. So for the record I am posting this, it's more evidence of the flat out right-wing bias at FOX, and these are facts, not opinion.
9-8-09 -- REPORT: FOX News town hall coverage amplifies opponents of health care reform, ignores supporters
The Media Matters report found that during the week of August 24, Fox News aired 22 clips of town hall meeting attendees expressing an opinion or asking a question that opposed progressive health care reform efforts, but aired 0 clips of town hall attendees expressing an opinion or asking a question supporting reform.
As Howard Kurtz reported: "In fact, after the president convened a low-key town hall in New Hampshire, press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters: 'I think some of you were disappointed yesterday that the president didn't get yelled at.' There was a grain of truth in that. As Fox broke away from the meeting, anchor Trace Gallagher said, 'Any contentious questions, anybody yelling, we'll bring it to you.'"
Earth to O'Reilly, this is hard evidence of FOX News bias. In an entire week not one clip was shown of a person at a town hall meeting who supported the Obama health care plan on FOX. It was 22 to 0, how can you even deny it's not bias. And the question is, will you report this information, somehow I doubt it. Not to mention, there are 4 national televison networks in America, NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX. Guess which one is NOT showing the Obama speech to Congress Wednesday night, FOX, what a shocker, NOT!
Despite providing a platform for incendiary anti-reform claims, Fox News repeatedly passed over substantive and pro-reform questions and comments from the town hall meetings that they covered. While those questions could be heard and read in unedited footage of the town halls online or in local coverage of the events, they were not aired on Fox.
Fox played up the "booing" at a town hall meeting -- other reporting said it was an aberration. A Fox & Friends August 25 news brief about Sen. Claire McCaskill's August 24 town hall featured on-screen text reading, "TOWN HALL TEMPERS: SEN. MCCASKILL GETS BOOED," as well as footage of the audience booing. However, in an article about the town hall, the Associated Press reported: "A couple of shouts and a few boos punctuated Sen. Claire McCaskill's health care forum in Hannibal, but mostly the crowd offered polite feedback."
On the August 26 edition of America's Newsroom, after airing a clip from Moran's August 25 town hall, Gregg Jarrett stated that there "seemed to be more jeers than cheers at that town hall meeting." That sentiment was echoed on Special Report later that day, when Bret Baier reported: "Virginia Democratic Congressman Jim Moran was greeted by boos Tuesday in Reston, and the crowd frequently interrupted him. However, according to an August 26 account of that same town hall by CQ Today, "conservative protesters were overmatched by supporters of Moran and Obama, and who were able to yell loudest." In its report on the town hall, The Washington Post noted: "Unlike at many town hall meetings that have received attention across the country, the crowd in the Democratic-leaning district was dominated by reform proponents.
If that's not bias, nothing is, 22 to 0 is bias Billy. I could see 15 to 7, or maybe 17 to 5, that would almost be somewhat of a balance, but 22 to 0 is outrageous. In the entire week, FOX News did not air one question from a person at a town hall meeting who supports the Obama health care plan. How in the hell can you call that fair and balanced, and how can you wonder why Obama does not like FOX News.
Obama Indoctrination/Brainwashing Speech To School Children By: Steve - September 7, 2009 - 12:30pm
Following news that president Obama will speak directly to students next week in a special "back to school" address, media conservatives went absolutely apoplectic, calling Obama's forthcoming speech "indoctrination," as Glenn Beck put it.
But Beck's comments were only the tip of the iceberg. Other right-wing idiots compared it to "brainwashing," communist China, and the Hitler Youth. Some went as far as encouraging parents to keep their children home from school. On Lou Dobbs radio program, guest host Chris Stigall said that he just didn't want Obama to talk to his kid alone. Then there was Michael Savage, the third most listened to right-wing radio host in America, who put it this way: "Hitler had the Hitler Youth, and Obama would like to have the Obama Youth."
Laura Ingraham (the factor fill in host) called it indoctrination, as did her guest, Andrea Tantaros, saying of the president's speech: "They do this type of thing in North Korea and the former Soviet Union, very cultish."
Ingraham also said the speech is "just another slick attempt to brand Barack Obama" as the savior of our school children." Her guest Monica Crowley said, "Just when you think this administration can't get any more Orwellian, here he comes to indoctrinate our children," and, "This is what Chairman Mao did."
Fox & Friends even hosted a parent who plans to "keep kids home" from Obama's "indoctrination" speech, while the network's right-wing website FoxNation asked visitors "Will You Keep Your Kids Home the Day Obama Speaks to Schools?"
Notice there is nothing political in it, all he does is tell the kids to do your homework, get good grades, and read books. Proving that the Republican idiots who called it brainwashing and indoctrination are partisan liars who should never be believed again. Here is the text of the Obama speech he will give to the nations school children.
Here is a small part of the speech:
That's why today, I'm calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education - and to do everything you can to meet them. Your goal can be something as simple as doing all your homework, paying attention in class, or spending time each day reading a book. Maybe you'll decide to get involved in an extracurricular activity, or volunteer in your community. Maybe you'll decide to stand up for kids who are being teased or bullied because of who they are or how they look, because you believe, like I do, that all kids deserve a safe environment to study and learn. Maybe you'll decide to take better care of yourself so you can be more ready to learn. And along those lines, I hope you all wash your hands a lot, and stay home from school when you don't feel well, so we can keep people from getting the flu this fall and winter.
O'Reilly is such a partisan right-wing shill he wrote an Obama bashing column, while he was on a week long vacation. Yesterday on September 5th O'Reilly wrote this article, the headline said, 2009 panic at the White House. Here are a few quotes:
O'REILLY: I believe it is safe to say that many liberals are stunned by the president's decline in the polls and his inability to sell a government-run health care system. It all sounds so compassionate: helping the poor get quality medical care, ensuring that insurance companies do not gouge working Americans. How could you oppose that?
But theory is one thing; actual performance is quite something else. As you know, the president had months to clarify the details of the massive health care program but could not do it.
Notice what O'Reilly said, that the president had months to clarify the details of the massive health care program but could not do it. That is a lie, and only Republican spin doctors are saying it. What actually happened is the Insurance companies, the Republicans in Congress (who get most of their money from the Insurance companies) the right-wing special interest groups, and the lobbyists, spent millions of dollars ($1.4 million a day) to put out lies about the Obama health care plan, it's called propaganda. This confused some people, and that is why they oppose it.
All it did was prove that propaganda works, yet O'Reilly never mentions any of that, and implies that people are opposed to the Obama plan based on facts. When the opposite is true, and only Republican shills are saying what O'Reilly wrote in his article. When people are given the facts about the plan, almost 60% support it, the only people who dont, are the ones who believe the lies about it put out by the right.
Later in the article O'Reilly smears and lies about Pelosi and liberals, and remember this is from a man who claims to be a non-partisan Independent, with a no spin zone, who has no dog in the fight. If this is what a non-partisan Independent would say, I'm Dick Cheney. O'Reilly wrote this:
O'REILLY: Add to that the fact that hard-core leftists like Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean are almost hysterical in pushing federal health care, and a deep distrust has set in. Seniors in particular are skeptical that they may go to the end of the line when the feds begin calling the medical shots.
And then there is the senseless viciousness on the part of some who support national health care mandates. Calling those who oppose your health care point of view "domestic terrorists" is a slander no spin-doctor could deny.
Notice that O'Reilly uses one of the Obama health care plan lies put out by the right. Proving he is part of the right, and that he is helping them to put their lies out. He says the Seniors are worried they could go to the end of the line if the Obama health care plan is passed. This is nonsense, and a total lie. And not only does O'Reilly not debunk that lie, he promotes it, as did Laura Ingraham when she filled in for him last week. Then he claims the left had been involved in vicious attacks on people who oppose the Obama health care plan, and talks about slander no spin doctor could deny.
Which is just right-wing propaganda, there is spin, from O'Reilly. Let's do some real no spin here, and report the facts that O'Reilly left out. The vicious domestic terrorist comment he mentions, was made by ONE anonymous person on an Obama website called Organizing for America. At this website anyone can set up an account, and then post anything they want. It's open to the public, ONE person made a posting and called Republicans who oppose the Obama health care plan domestic terrorists. ONE person, an anonymous person on the internet, and as soon as the website monitors saw it, they deleted it.
So O'Reilly used that to claim everyone on the left is vicious, and calling everyone on the right who oppose the Obama health care plan domestic terrorists. It's Glenn Beck type crazy talk, and it proves that O'Reilly is about as far right and dishonest as you can get. There are millions of liberals, and thousands of postings on that website, one lunatic calls Republicans domestic terrorists, so what does O'Reilly do. He uses it to claim all the liberals are using vicious attacks on Republicans by calling them terrorists. Which is about as dishonest as you can be, and something only a Republican would do to smear liberals, and Obama. While he claims to be a non-partisan Independent.
Not to mention, O'Reilly ignores all the Nazi smears on Obama, the Hitler stuff, the swastikas on their protest signs, etc. etc. etc. from the right. The vicious attacks are coming from the right, they are disrupting Democrats town hall meetings, they are making the Nazi signs, they are making the racist t-shirts, bumper stickers, photos, etc. So what does O'Reilly do, he uses diversion tricks to claim the left is doing the vicious attacks. It's pure right-wing propaganda, put out by O'Reilly.
The right has been attacking Obama and the Democrats at town hall meetings, all the left did was fight back, with the facts. Then O'Reilly dishonestly spins the whole thing into the left is attacking the right. Which is the kind of insanity Glenn Beck would do, it's partisan nonsense, and right-wing propaganda. Then even while on vacation he is still pumping out right-wing spin and propaganda. It's all lies, and no honest journalist would do any of it. Proving beyond a doubt that O'Reilly is a biased partisan right-wing hack.
O'Reilly Fails To Mention Senator Dodd Was Cleared By: Steve - September 5, 2009 - 8:30am
Over the last year and a half O'Reilly has reported numerous times about the so-called sweetheart mortage Senator Dodd recieved from Countrywide Financial. For months on end O'Reilly smeared Senator Dodd as corrupt. O'Reilly even claimed the loan deal Senator Dodd recieved saved him $100,000, and that he was wrong to take it. Here is part of what O'Reilly said in July of this year.
O'REILLY: Dodd took a sweetheart mortgage from the failed Countrywide credit company, which saved him close to $100,000!
Senator Dodd even put out a statement saying the home loan he recieved had a fair market interest rate at the time and that he did not get any better of a deal than anyone else could have got. O'Reilly said that was bull, and claimed Dodd was lying. A Dodd spokesman, Bryan DeAngelis, said the senator and his wife, "were never offered special or sweetheart deals and if anyone had made such an offer -- they would have severed that relationship immediately."
This was a big story on FOX News, all their anchors reported it, including O'Reilly and his is it legal stooges Lis Wiehl and Megyn Kelly, and they all reported it multiple times over the last year and a half. Well guess what, about a month ago on August 7th, the Senate Ethics Committee dismissed the complaint after spending a year reviewing 18,000 pages of documents.
On August 7, the Select Committee on Ethics wrote to Dodd that "the Committee finds no evidence as required by Committee rules that your Countrywide mortgages violated Senate ethics rules." The letter stated:
After examining the extensive record, the Committee found no evidence that you knowingly accepted a gift, including a loan not available to the public.
First, your mortgages were made in a commercially-reasonable manner based on terms and conditions available to borrowers with similar loan profiles. Your loans met all applicable underwriting standards and that you and your wife were excellent loan candidates. You sought competing mortgage offers from other lenders that offered terms substantially similar to the ones Countrywide provided.
Second, there is no evidence that you sought or knowingly received any financial benefits not available to other borrowers with similar loan profiles. The Committee found no evidence that you or your wife ever asked for special treatment or that anyone ever communicated to you or your family that you were receiving specific discounts or other special treatment not available to other borrowers.
Third, there is no evidence that you used your official position for personal gain.
And what a shocker, O'Reilly never said a word about it, nothing, zero, not a peep. He has totally ignored the fact that Dodd was cleared of all charges. O'Reilly just recently accused CNN of false reporting, he said they should do a correction or they can no longer be trusted. And yet, here he is reporting for a year and a half that Dodd was corrupt for taking that sweetheart home loan deal. But when he is cleared of all charges O'Reilly does not even report it, he just lets everyone think Dodd was guilty.
What happened is some biased partisan Republican somewhere, most likely Drudge, Limbaugh, or Malkin, put this bogus story out to smear Senator Dodd. Then O'Reilly and all the other stooges in the right-wing media picked it up and spread the lie as if it were true. It's called the right-wing echo chamber. Some right-wing stooge puts out a lie, then they all report it, and pretty soon it's everywhere, and you think it's true.
Then a year and a half later when he is cleared of all charges they ignore that, and do not report it. I watch the Factor every single night and take detailed notes, to this day O'Reilly has not said one word about Senator Dodd being cleared. Proving once again that O'Reilly is a partisan Republican who reports lies about Democrats, then once the lie is proven to be a lie, he does not report the truth, and set the record straight.
And btw, there is an ethics investigation under way right now on Congressman Charlie Rangel over some tax issues, last week Laura Ingraham said Pelosi should punish him, before the investigation is even done. And yet, here is Chris Dodd who O'Reilly and Ingraham said should be punished before his investigation was even done, and then he was cleared, yet they said nothing. Now they want Rangel punished before he has been investigated, when he could be cleared too. Ingraham was even told the Rangel investigation is not done yet and you are innocent until proven guilty, she said she dont care, and that Rangel should be punished now anyway.
And remember this folks, when Bush or a Republican are charged with something, O'Reilly and Ingraham say you have to wait until they are proven guilty before you can punish them. Think about that, think about what hypocrites with double standards they are. And remember that even when they are cleared, they just ignore it and do not even report they were cleared.
The Thursday 9-3-09 O'Reilly/Ingraham Factor Review By: Steve - September 4, 2009 - 10:30am
Laura Ingraham was in for Billy again, she opened the show with more attacks on Obama and the Democrats, as usual. She cried about Pelosi and how low her job approval is, what's funny though is when Bush and the Republicans had power Ingraham never said a word about job approval, and even said approval ratings are not important, and that the only thing important is doing what's right for the country. Not to mention, the Republican minority leader has a lower approval rating than Pelosi. But what a shocker, Ingraham never mentioned that. Everyone in Congress has a low approval rating, because of the bad economy, etc. And the Republicans are even lower than the Democrats, but Ingraham only goes after Pelosi, proving she is a partisan idiot.
Just so people have the actual facts, which Ingraham failed to mention, the approval ratings for Democrats in Congress is 35%, while the approval ratings for Republicans in Congress is 29%. And btw, the average approval rating for Congress since 1988 is about 36%, so Democrats are right at the average, and Republicans are 7 points under it. Congress always has a low job approval rating, especially during bad economic times. Here is what's really good, GOP operatives like Ingraham are using ammunition they scorned for years to attack President Obama's proposed health care overhaul: polls.
The Republicans sudden embrace of polling, follows years of GOP disdain for opinion surveys. During President Clinton's two terms, Republican activists ridiculed his purported reliance on polls. Then, for the next eight years, Republicans circled the wagons around President Bush, as his approval ratings tanked and support for the Iraq war dropped.
As Karl Rove put it in 2007: "True leadership does what is right, regardless of what the latest poll or focus group says." Peter Fenn, a Democratic strategist said this: "I do find it ironic that the Republicans would cherry-pick certain polls to try to make their point after claiming to reject polls during the Bush years. Not to mention if you look at the top 10 issues, Democrats are favored on 8 out of 10, the only 2 the Republicans win on are taxes and the terrorist threat, but they only win by 1% on taxes, and 6% of the terrorist threat. So the country thinks Democrats will do a better job on most issues, while Ingraham ignores all that to attack Pelosi and the Democrats in Congress.
Basically Ingraham cherry picked the polls, and hammered Pelosi, when her approval is higher than the Republican leaders. Then she ignored all the other information, to spin out her GOP propaganda. And she did all that while the Democrats have a higher approval rating on 8 of the top 10 issues, proving she is a partisan right-wing hack.
Then she had Kiki McLean and Andrea Tantaros on to discuss the Obama health care plan. And of course it was a 2 on 1 with the 2 Republicans against the 1 Democrat. This is the kind of segment you see all the time on the Factor, unbalanced and ridiculous. They just put a Democrat on so they can make her look like she is in the minority. That's why the 2 on 1, and you can guess what was said, Ingraham and Tantaros trashed Obama, Nasal Nose even called Obama a disaster, even though his current approval rating at Gallup is 55%, and he has only been president for 7 months, if that's fair, I'm Elvis. Kiki defended Obama as best she could, when she could get a word in, which was not much. Tantaros and Ingraham hate Obama, and never have one good word to say about anything he does. So even with a 55% approval, in Ingraham world he is a disaster after 7 short months, even O'Reilly is giving him a year, yet Ingraham has him done already. And that is the no spin zone?
Then Ingraham cried about her boy Dick Cheney, she cried about a DNC ad about Cheney, even though everything in the ad is 100% true. It goes thorough all the things Cheney was wrong about in Iraq, WMD's, torture, etc. Ingraham defended it all, and even said the torture worked so it was ok. She had Keith Watters on and he told her Cheney was wrong, and so is she. Watters said we are a nation of laws, and those laws were broken. Ingraham said so what, it worked so she dont care about the laws. Which is so funny, because Republicans claim to be the party of law, except when Republicans break laws then it's suddenly ok with them. O'Reilly even says if you do not follow the laws you have chaos, then the both of them defend Cheney and say forget the laws, but only when Republicans do it. It's total hypocrisy, and a massive double standard.
Then Ingraham did another segment attacking Van Jones, which is just a re-run from last night, she is jumping on the Glenn Beck bandwagon for ratings. Her and a right-wing guest called him a communist, etc. While the 1 Democrat guest tried to defend him, but it was like talking to a wall, they ignored and dismissed everything he said. The Republican guest was Angela McGlowan, and wow is she nuts. The segment was about Van Jones and McGlowan said the Obama stimulus is not working, which had nothing to do with the topic, and is a total lie. The conservative Wall Street Journal even wrote an article yesterday saying the Obama stimulus is working, proving McGlowan is not only a liar, she is a partisan right-wing hack too.
The nest segment was about the child rape case in Oklahoma, The man was going to be released and the AG charged him with more crimes so he will not be released now. Ingraham claims the Factor made that happen, because O'Reilly had reported on the case. Her proof, she said so, lol. She failed to mention Geraldo also reported on it, more than O'Reilly did, and he even went to Oklahoma and worked the case there, yet according to Ingraham the Factor gets all the credit. She had some right-wing radio guy Pat Campbell on to discuss it, and to his credit he mentioned Geraldo and thanked him. I love how they report on something, then something happens in the case, and they take credit for it. When nobody knows if it would have happened anyway, whether they reported it or not. They they hang Geraldo out to dry, when he should get most of the credit, if it turns out he did cause the AG to add more charges.
Ingraham then put the crazy far right Col. Ralph Peters on to discuss the drunk security guard party at the US Embassy in Kabul, by the private security force. Photos were leaked out, Peters called them clowns and perverts, and said they should all be fired. But not once did they mention they were hired by the Bush administration. They also talked about sending more troops to Afghanistan. Peters said he does not support more troops, and that he agrees with 85% of what George Will said. Ok now get this, here is how crazy this Col. Peters is.
Later in the segment Ingraham talked about the General in Afghanistan asking for 28,000 more troops. Peters said Obama is not going to send them, how he knows is beyond me, it's total speculation. Then he went into Glenn Beck land, because then he complained that Obama is not listening to the General and giving him more troops, ummmmmm, huh? I kid you not, a minute ago he said he agrees with George Will that no more troops should be sent, then a minute later he complains that Obama is not sending more troops. This guy is a lunatic, and he is the Factor military analyst. This nut peters is a proven Obama hater, and never has one good word to say about him, at the end of the segment he even said Obama has no plan, and all he does is look at poll numbers. Not to mention, it's all speculation, because he has no idea what plans Obama has, or what he does, it's all just opinion from a right-wing nut. And crazy Ingraham sat there and let this wacko ramble on like he was reporting facts, proving she is just as biased as he is.
Then of course Ingraham did a segment on Obama brainwashing and indoctrinating school children, with a speech telling them to go to school and get good grades. It's ridiculous right-wing garbage. And of course Ingraham had a Republican teacher on who is opposed to the Obama speech, with nobody on to give the other side. This morning Joe Scarborough even said it was nonsense, and that cable tv and radio hosts on the right are just saying it for ratings. Which is 100% true, it's all a big smear job made up by the right to get ratings. Here is what Scarborough said:
SCARBOROUGH: "Seriously, why don't we want the president of the United States, any president of the United States, delivering the message to kids: work hard, stay in school, succeed," said Scarborough, adding, "get your ratings if you want, you're just screwing your political party."
Then Ingraham had the Democrat Angela Alioto on to talk about Pelosi some more. Alioto pointed out that Pelosi has a higher approval than the Republican Minority leader, and Ingraham was like who cares. She said he is not in power, which is ridiculous, in power or not, if you talk about approval ratings they count for both parties. But Ingraham refused to talk about the lower than Pelosi approval ratings for the Republican minority leader, so she moved on. Alioto defended Pelosi and mentioned that the people still support her in her district, and that the people also favor the Democrats on most issues. Ingraham did not like that, because she hates in when actual facts get out, so she talked over Alioto and then ended the segment.
And that was the end of another total joke of an O'Reilly Factor, with a totally one sided biased right-wing stooge for a host. Remember she called it the no spin zone, the she did nothing but spin out the GOP party line. With mostly Republican guests, a few Democrats did get on, but they were barely allowed to talk, and what they said was ignored and dismissed as liberal spin. While at the same time doing nothing but put out non-stop right-wing spin, in the so-called no spin zone.
Proof Rasmussen Polls Are Biased Against Obama By: Steve - September 3, 2009 - 1:30pm
I recently got an e-mail asking me why I think the Rasmussen polls are biased, for one, Rasmussen is a known Republican who supported John McCain, and only ran ads for McCain before the 2008 presidential election on his website. But the best evidence is in how they word their poll questions, and the way they sample their poll takers.
Rasmussen words their poll questions in a leading way to favor Republicans, and they only sample 500 likely voters. One other big problem with Rasmussen is they do not run totally random polls, they do phone interviews to get a target audience. Then that target audience is polled, it's basically rigging the game before the polls are even taken. They even admit it on their website.
RASMUSSEN: Our baseline targets are established based upon separate survey interviews with a sample of adults nationwide completed during the preceding three months (a total of 45,000 interviews) and targets are updated monthly.
That is not a true random poll, it's basically fixing the polls to get the results you want. Honest polls are taken by totally random phone calls, not using this targeted pre-interview business. And here is a perfect example of that result.
Right now, as I type this the Daily Rasmussen tracking poll has President Obama at 47% job approval, with 53% who disapprove.
Now look at what Gallup has, right now the Daily Gallup tracking poll has President Obama at 55% job approval, with 39% who disapprove.
That is a huge difference, Rasmussen has Obama 8 points lower than Gallup on the job approval rating, and a whopping 14 points higher in the disapproval rating. Which is pretty much proof Rasmussen is a Republican biased poll. Because there is no way you could have an 8 and 14 point difference by accident.
And if you think it's just a coincidence that Rasmussen has Obama 8 points lower, please contact me now, because I have some land to sell you. Rasmussen is a Republican, and his polls are biased against Obama. They are always 5 to 8 points lower in the Obama approval ratings, and 8 to 15 points higher in the disapproval ratings.
Which is why O'Reilly and Ingraham are always quoting the Rasmussen polls, because they are always lower for Obama, and they always make him look worse than the Gallup polls. Go to Gallup and Rasmussen and look for yourself, then you will see it with your own eyes. And take note that only Republicans cite Rasmussen polls, everyone else uses Gallup.
Conservative Idiots Accuse Obama of Indoctrinating Kids By: Steve - September 3, 2009 - 10:30am
Numerous conservative media figures have baselessly accused President Obama of trying to "indoctrinate" America's children with his back-to-school speech encouraging students to succeed and persist in their studies. Sean Hannity claimed that "it seems very close to indoctrination," while Monica Crowley said "just when you think this administration can't get any more surreal and Orwellian, here they come to indoctrinate our kids"; similarly, Michelle Malkin claimed that "the left has always used kids in public schools as guinea pigs and as junior lobbyists for their social liberal agenda."
In her September 2nd column, Michelle Malkin claimed that Obama's speech amounts to recruiting "junior lobbyists." She also wrote that "parents have every right to worry about their children being used as Political Guinea Pigs for Change."
During an interview with Malkin, Sean Hannity said on his show that the president's speech "seems very close to indoctrination."
On The O'Reilly Factor, host Laura Ingraham said the speech is "just another slick attempt to brand Barack Obama" and that "it's a message being sent out by the Department of Education with these questions that without a doubt lead to the further branding of Barack Obama as a savior of our school children." Also during the segment, Crowley said, "Just when you think that this administration can't get any more surreal and Orwellian, here he comes to indoctrinate our children," and, "This is what Chairman Mao did, Laura.
Discussing an art relief supposedly representing Mussolini, Glenn Beck said: "Gee, who is having indoctrination next week? Oh, yeah, that's right, the president, completely unrelated. This represents, at the time this was made, Mussolini. This was Mussolini. By the way, the artist that made this -- his son, ironically and tragically died fighting the army of Mussolini years after this was made."
On September 3, the Fox Nation highlighted Obama's speech, asking whether he was "going after school children." The FoxNews.com article the Fox Nation linked to includes the headline, "Critics Decry Obama's 'Indoctrination' Plan for Students."
And now the facts: In an August 26 letter to principals, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan described Obama's September 8 speech as being about "the importance of education" and "persisting and succeeding in school."
In a post on his ABCNews.com blog, ABC senior White House correspondent Jake Tapper wrote:
"The goal of the speech and the lesson plan is to challenge students to work hard in school, to not drop out and to meet short-term goals like behaving in class, doing their homework and goals that parents and teachers alike can agree are noble."
In the same blog post, Tapper rebutted accusations from Florida Republican Party chairman Jim Greer that students will be "forced" to watch the speech. Tapper wrote: "Schools districts across the country have the option to choose if they show the President's address to their students."
A White House spokesman tells ABC News:
"This isn't a policy speech. This is a speech designed to encourage kids to stay in school." The Wednesday 9-2-09 O'Reilly/Ingraham Factor Review By: Steve - September 3, 2009 - 9:30am
Ingraham opened the show hammering Obama, as usual. She spewed out the new right-wing talking points out today from Glenn Beck and Michelle Malkin, they claim Obama is going to brainwash and indoctrinate all the school children when he talks to them next week. Nasal Nose actually called it a creepy indoctrination. Okay let me get this straight, the President of the United States is going to give a speech to school children, and these right-wing nuts have a problem with that. They are insane, they even claim it's the first time a President ever did this. Which is a lie, because in 1991, George H.W. Bush spoke to the nation's schoolchildren from Deal Junior High School in the District.
Not to mention, how do you brainwash and indoctirnate someone in a tv speech. I have never brainwashed anyone, but I assume it would take days and weeks or maybe even months, I doubt you could do it over the tv airwaves in a short speech. And what about O'Reilly, a while back when the Shawn Hornbeck kid was kidnapped, and stayed with his kidnapper, some people said he was brainwashed. O'Reilly called that garbage, and said there is no such thing as brainwashing. Now Obama decides to give a speech to school children and every right-wing nut in America claims it's brainwashing. I guess they watch Glenn Beck, because you are just stupid if you believe this nonsense.
Then Ingraham had Dick Morris on to trash Obama over his new health care plan speech. I will not report the details, as you can just imagine what they said. But I do have something to say, it's funny to watch the hooker toe sucker and the far right nasal nose idiot do nothing but trash the President. They are nothing but partisan right-wing spin doctors, and they have no credibility because they are both proven liars who hate Obama. That segment was worthless, because there were no Democrats to give the counterpoint. As are every segment with only Republican guests, it's bias, and non-objective reporting. And remember, this is the so-called no spin zone. At the end of the segment Ingraham even said the Obama health care plan is eroding our freedom, how, only she knows, because I sure dont.
Then Alan Colmes and Monica Crowley were on to discuss the Obama speech to school children. Colmes said it was no big deal and only a few right-wing loons are freaked out about it. He said it was ridiculous, and only a story with Republicans who have blogs and do talk radio. But of course Crowley disagreed and said Ingraham was right, crazy Crowley said it was indoctrination and even compared it to what Chairman Mao did. Colmes just laughed at her, and Crowley even had a sly smile on her face, as if she knew it was garbage, but she just said it because it was the new GOP talking points to smear Obama with some other nonsense. This entire story is insane, it's Glenn Beck type nonsense, and anyone who believes it is a lunatic.
Ellis Henican was on next to talk about another ridiculous right-wing smear job on Obama. Some anonymous person posted a crazy message on the old Obama campaign website, it was not posted by Obama, or anyone who works for him. But that did not stop Ingraham from claiming Obama's people did it, and linked it to Obama. Henican called it the most bogus outrage he had ever seen, and basically called Ingraham silly for even reporting it. Then Ingraham pulled a Glenn Beck and went after Van Jones, the Obama green jobs czar. She played a 10 second clip of Van Jones saying something, out of context of course, and then she even admitted she did not know what he was saying. Then she called him a dangerous communist, and Henican laughed at her. I guess she is trying to get on that Glenn Beck crazy train to get ratings.
Then Bernie Goldberg was on to talk about Charlie Gibson leaving ABC, so Diane Sawyer can take over. And to my surprise Goldberg said it was no big deal. He said it was nothing, and not that big of a story. Which is funny, because it was a big story all day today, and they even did a segment about it. If it's not a big story, why was it all over the media today, and why did they also talk about it. Here is my question, Goldberg is a has been that never was, and he only goes on FOX News to spew out his biased garbage, so why should we care what he thinks about anything. None of the other News Networks have him on because he is a joke, with no journalistic credibility.
They also talked about all the great right-wing books out there, and how well they are selling. But they never mention all the bulk sales, or the sales and giveways, like getting them for free, or a dollar. Right-wing groups buy those books in bulk and give them away, or sell them for a dollar, and conservative book clubs sell them for a dollar or two if you join their club. So most of their book sales are rigged to get them on the bestseller listings, so they can claim the people actually read that garbage. And what's really funny, is they all trash the NY Times every day, but then brag about how their book is in the top 10 on the NY Times bestseller list. And they never talk about the bulk sales that got it on the list, while claiming real people are buying those books. It's all a lie, and just more right-wing spin.
In the next to last segment, Ingraham reported on a Democratic California Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, saying the Cali wildfires are worse because Global Warming has caused droughts. Nasal Nose had a Global Warming expert on who agreed with Congresswoman Sanchez. But when Ingraham asked her if Sanchez was right, and the woman said yes, Nasal Nose seemed shocked. I think Ingraham thought the woman was going to disagree with Sanchez, because Ingraham had to ask her again if she agreed with Sanchez, and the Global Warming expert said yes.
Ingraham seemed a little confused, and stammered a little. I'm guessing they did not understand what the woman was actually going to say in the pre-interview. The FOX producers probably thought they had a Global Warming denier like Ingraham, and they were wrong, haha. Because Ingraham clearly seemed surprised with her answer, and she was not prepared to debate her. That is why the segment was ended so fast, and why the only thing Ingraham could do was say the planet actually got cooler, then cut her mic before she could answer.
Ingraham went at her with some right-wing propaganda that Global Warming is a hoax, and that the planet is actually getting cooler. And before the woman could respond to Ingraham's bogus right-wing claims, they cut her mic and ended the segment. You could see her lips moving, but you could not hear her because they had cut her mic. Then they went to commercial.
When she came back from commercial they ran a re-run of some stupid segment with O'Reilly and an animal expert. Some old crap about having exotic animals as pets, they talked about tigers, snakes, lizards, etc. And the Ingraham Factor was over, Thank God. Nasal Nose had 6 Republican guests, and 3 Democratic guests, which is better than O'Reilly does, but she is far worse as a host. Way more biased, and way more partisan. O'Reilly is like an 8 on the far right propaganda scale, Ingraham is a 10.
O'Reilly/Ingraham Ignoring All The Good News By: Steve - September 2, 2009 - 10:30am
On the O'Reilly Factor it's nothing but bad news, doom and gloom, the sky is falling, etc. etc. etc. Day after day O'Reilly, Ingraham, and Glenn Beck are spinning out nothing but bad news about Obama and what he is doing to the country. All these right-wing idiots do is trash Obama and report he is doing everything wrong. Not once do you hear about the good news, and how things are getting better.
To everyone reading this, go to www.google.com and type in "economy improving" and "home sales are up" then click News. Here are just a few of the headlines you will see.
Bloomberg - US Economy: Factory Growth Signals End of Recession
Chicago Tribune - Big employers growing confidence in economy
Detroit Free Press - Auto sales hit 15-month high
Reuters - US Spending Rebounds in August, Rising 3.5 Percent
Gallup - Consumer Confidence Hits 20-Month High
Richmond Times Dispatch - Economy Improving
Bizjournals.com - Study: August sees fewer job cuts announced
Daily Finance - Reports indicate jobs cuts lessening as economy brightens
AP - Consumer sentiment improves more than expected
LA Times - Pending US home sales hit two-year high in July
AP - Gain in consumer confidence sends stocks higher
It goes on and on, nothing but good news. And yet we hear nothing but bad news from the Republicans like Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, all the Republicans in Congress, etc. etc. etc. It's all doom and gloom in their world, while out in the real world the economy is improving, the Dow is over 9,000, home sales are up, job losses are slowing, the Obama stimulus is working, and the recession is ending.
And speaking of the Obama stimulus, Beck, O'Reilly, Ingraham, etc. all claim the Obama stimulus has been a total failure. They do nothing but trash it, and claim it's not working. House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA), has repeatedly claimed that the stimulus is "failing."
O'Reilly said Obama does not know what he is doing, and his economic recovery plan is going to bankrupt the country. Ingraham said the stimulus has been a total failure, and predicted Obama would be a 1 term president. Beck claims that Obama is bankrupting the country on purpose so he can do some kind of liberal/communist takeover and turn America into France. It goes on and on, they are all saying the same thing, that Obama is a failure, and his economic stimulus is failing.
Proving they are nothing but patisan right-wing liars, who are flat out lying to you. Because even the conservative Wall Street Journal admits the Obama stimulus is working, and that in the next 4 months to a year it will work even better when most of the money is spent. Just read this, then ask yourself who is telling the truth, Beck, O'Reilly, and Ingraham, or AP, Reuters, Bloomberg, and The Wall Street Journal, etc.
WSJ - U.S. Economy Gets Lift From Stimulus
9-2-09 -- WASHINGTON -- Government efforts to funnel hundreds of billions of dollars into the U.S. economy appear to be helping the U.S. climb out of the worst recession in decades.
The U.S. economy is beginning to show signs of improvement, with many economists asserting the worst is past and data pointing to stronger-than-expected growth. On Tuesday, data showed manufacturing grew in August for the first time in more than a year. "There's a method to the madness. We're getting out of this," said Brian Bethune, chief U.S. financial economist at IHS Global Insight.
Much of the stimulus spending is just beginning to trickle through the economy, with spending expected to peak sometime later this year or in early 2010. The government has funneled about $60 billion of the $288 billion in promised tax cuts to U.S. households, while about $84 billion of the $499 billion in spending has been paid. About $200 billion has been promised to certain projects, such as infrastructure and energy projects.
For the third quarter, economists at Goldman Sachs & Co. predict the U.S. economy will grow by 3.3%. "Without that extra stimulus, we would be somewhere around zero," said Jan Hatzius, chief U.S. economist for Goldman.
Now after reading all that think about what O'Reilly, Beck, and Ingraham are doing. Every night they do nothing but trash Obama and everything he does, claiming it's all a failure. While all the news headlines are positive, and they all say things are improving. Yet we hear nothing but doom and gloom from O'Reilly, Beck, and Ingraham, proving they are biased partisan right-wing hacks who will never report good news, because it makes Obama look good, and gives you a true measure of the state of the country.
This is why you should not listen to what they report, it's all right-wing spin and propaganda. If you want the truth, turn them off and get your news from google news, or another news source. All the shows on FOX have an agenda, to make Obama look bad, even when things are improving, and the stimulus is working.
The Tuesday 9-1-09 O'Reilly/Ingraham Factor Review By: Steve - September 2, 2009 - 8:40am
Nasal Nose Voice Laura Ingraham was in for O'Reilly again. And what's really funny is that she is about as far right of a biased partisan you can be, and she still opens the show saying caution you are about to enter the no spin zone, which is just ridiculous. Her TPM was all about Obama, she said Obama is doing everything wrong, that his poll numbers have dropped again, and called him a typical Ivy league liberal. And remember that's a no spin zone, because she just said so, haha, yeah right.
Then Ingraham cited the Rasmussen poll numbers that have Obama at 45% job approval. Ignoring the fact that every other poll in America has Obama at 50% or higher, Gallup has it at 51%, but of course Ingraham only used the biased Rasmussen poll that has Obama the lowest. Remembering that you are still in the no spin zone, not. It was all right-wing spin from a partisan Republican, she hates Obama and no matter what good news is out there she always trashes Obama.
Nasal Nose had Scott Rasmussen and Mary Anne Marsh on to discuss it. And of course Rasmussen trashed Obama, while the Democrat Marsh defended him. As usual it was a 2 on 1 with 2 Republicans against the 1 Democrat. Ingraham acted like it was the end of the world that a presidents poll numbers dropped, when he is still trying to fix the mess Bush left him, and he has only been president for 7 months. Basically she said Obama is done, even after O'Reilly said you have to give him at least a year, and that year will not be up until 1-20-10. I say give the man a chance, it took Bush 8 years to ruin the country, so you right-wing idiots should give Obama at least a year or two to fix things.
Then Ingraham had a right-wing whinefest, where she cried like a baby about a Democratic Congresswoman Diane Watson, saying there is some racism against Obama at the town hall meetings. Which there is, Ingraham just ignores it, like her hero O'Reilly does. She had Dr. Marc Lamont Hill and Tammy Bruce on to discuss it. Hill said there is racism, but not all of them are racists as Ingraham claimed. This is what Republicans do, lie. Nasal Nose said Watson called them all racists, which is a lie, and then she said it's ridiculous, and that there is no racism. Dr. Hill talked for about a minute and then Ingraham cut him off and said she was confused, so she went to Tammy Bruce for some truth, lol. Good luck with that, Bruce can not even spell truth.
The nut job Bruce just trashed Obama and Watson, and put out the standard right-wing propaganda. While talking Bruce called it the Obama Death Care plan, when that Death Care garbage has been debunked a million times. Dr. Hill laughed at her, and said wow, the wow was referring to how big of a liar she is. Then Dr. Hill started to reply to her death Care lies and Ingraham cut him off and ended the segment. Proving that Tammy Bruce is a fricking idiot with no credibility, still spreading the Death Care lie when it's been proven to be a lie for weeks. And the nut job Ingraham just sat there saying nothing, not once did she cut Bruce off and say the Death Care fear crap is a lie, proving that Ingraham wants people to believe that lie, just as Bruce does.
The next segment was a total one sided biased joke, Ingraham had the former Bush speech writer Marc Thiessen on to talk about Dick cheney. And of course the two of them sat there and talked about how great Cheney is, and how right he is about everything. I guess these two a-holes forgot Bush and Cheney just ran the country into the ground in 8 short years, and that they left office with a 30% and an 18% job approval rating, and a $1.2 Trillion dollar defecit.
Ingraham even called Bush and Cheney the Daddy party, and called Obama and Biden the Mommy party, based on what. Bush and Cheney were a disaster, how was that being the Daddy party, and what does that even mean. I would call them the disaster party, because they did not do anything right, and the entire Bush presidency was a total disaster. Yet Ingraham and Thiessen had nothing but good things to say about Bush and Cheney, while trashing Obama and Biden when they have only been in office for 7 fricking months. Ingraham is a total joke, she is like a slightly less crazy Glenn Beck, nothing she says is true, it's all spin and right-wing propaganda.
Then she had Dr. David Wolfe on to discuss the Jaycee Dugard story, which is tabloid news and I do not report it. Next up were Lis Wiehl and Megyn Kelly for the is it legal segment. They also talked about the same story, and Ingraham asked if she had a lawsuit against the cops for not finding her, after 9-11 calls reported she was there. They both said no, because cops have immunity. They also talked about some ridiculous lawsuit filed against the White House over e-mails and the tip line, the suit was filed by a right-wing group, and they said it will be thrown out of court. Then the Carrie Prejean lawsuit against the Miss America contest. She claims it was religious bias, what an idiot, go away already, there is no case, you were fired for not doing your job duties. Even Kelly and Wiehl said she had no case.
The next to last segment was with Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin. They talked about Afghanistan, and bringing the troops home. But Ingraham was not serious, she just had Benjamin on to make fun of her and trash the anti-war people, even though they were right, and we did not find any WMD's in Iraq, Nasal Nose never mentions any of that. Basically she put benjamin on because she is mad that Obama might send more troops to Afghanistan. So she was on to criticize Obama, and Ingraham just loved that. So it was just a set-up to get a liberal to criticize Obama.
The final segment was just insane garbage, Nasal Nose talked about a study that said if parents drink in front of their kids they will grow up to drink more. Oh My God, who does not already know that. What a shocker, stop the presses and get that to the printers. It was so stupid it should get dumbest segment of the year award. What will she tell us next, that if parents smoke in front of their kids they will smoke more, say it aint so, lol. And remember folks, this is called News, in the almighty no spin zone.
And think about this, Glenn Beck is smearing Obama for the people he works with, it's guilt by assoiation, which is saying you are bad because of the people you work with. Then O'Reilly has Laura (Far Right Nut-Job) Ingraham host his show, which makes him as bad as she is, it's guilt by association. How in the world can you claim to be a non-partisan Independent with a no spin zone, when your fill-in host is the far right partisan wacko Laura Ingraham. Answer that Billy, explain that to the folks.
