O'Reilly Caught Red Handed Lying About NY Times JFK Terror Plot Coverage

6-5-07 -- Last night Bill O'Reilly devoted an entire segment to attacking the NY Times for not covering the arrests made in the JFK airport terrorist plot on the front page.
O'REILLY: In Sunday's Times, editor Bill Keller put the JFK story on - ready - page 37, right above a story about kids playing at Fuddrucker's restaurant," O'Reilly said. He claimed the Times "isn't real concerned about Muslim guys allegedly trying to set up another 9/11.

One problem there Billy, the New York Times did cover the JFK terror plot on the front page of its Sunday edition. You wouldn't know it from watching O'Reilly, who chose to show only the top half of the front page. "Now I'm not making this up," he told his viewers. "You see it. This is not the Colbert Report. This is The Factor and this is the fact."

But his fact is a lie, and he was making it up, he literally made it up, here is what Billy had on the screen.

And now the real facts, the Sunday New York Times did feature a headline on the alleged JFK terror plots on its front page. It was below the fold, the bottom half of the front page that O'Reilly chose to hide had the story.

Billy has officially jumped the shark with this one, he can no longer claim to be a journalist, or criticize any other journalist for dishonesty after this lie about the NY Times coverage of the JFK terror plot. Does any Republican want to write me and tell me how this was just an accident by Billy, and how he did not lie on purpose to make the NY Times look bad, anyone?

Update: As of 6-6-07 not one O'Reilly fan has wrote to me to defend this lie from Billy, not one.
