O'Reilly Iraq WMD Information
Lately, Bill O'Reilly has been playing a little game regarding the WMD situation in Iraq.
Originally, Bill was convinced that when we liberated Iraq, there would be WMDs aplenty. Back in March 2003, he went so far as to tell the Good Morning America viewers that "if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again."
Months later, after President Bush declared the end of combat operations in Iraq and still no weapons of mass destruction had been uncovered, O'Reilly started to regret those words. So he gave the White House an ultimatum to come clean about the WMDs "in the next few weeks." But when that deadline was about to expire, Bill offered a new expiration date, granting the President an additional five months. Five weeks later, when it became obvious that the administration had no intention of meeting O'Reilly's decree, Bill extended it another six months.
Bill keeps hitting the snooze button on his WMD deadline so that he can avoid (or at least delay) apologizing to the nation and declaring his mistrust for the Bush administration, two things he probably never had any intention of doing under any circumstances.

Bill O'Reilly declares on Good Morning America: "And I said on my program, if -- if -- the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again."

On The O'Reilly Factor, Bill O'Reilly declares: "If Bush lied -- if he lied -- I'll be the first one to hang him, OK?"
Note From Stewert: Hang him ? Yeah right Bill, you do nothing but cover for Bush and defend everything he does. You claim to look out for the average working man, then you support Bush and almost all the republican policies. The very policies that hurt the average working man, every policy Bush has helps the wealthy, the corporations, and the far right. Bush is anti-union, anti-environment, anti-working man, etc. etc. etc.
The very policies that hurt the average working man, and every policy Bush has helps the wealthy, the corporations, and the far right.
On March 18 Bill said:
"if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush Administration again"
On April 22 Bill said:
"if weapons of mass destruction aren't found,... I will have to apologize because I bought into it... All right, a month from today, we'll do this story again"
BILL O'REILLY: Here's, here's the bottom line on this for every American and everybody in the world, nobody knows for sure, all right? We don't know what he has. We think he has 8,500 liters of anthrax. But let's see. But there's a doubt on both sides. And I said on my program, if, if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush Administration again, all right? But I'm giving my government the benefit of the doubt. . . . *
BILL O'REILLY: if he has 8,500 liters of anthrax that he's not going to give up, even though the United Nations demanded that he do that, we are doing the right thing. If he doesn't have any weapons, then we are doing the wrong thing.
BILL O'REILLY: Colonel, if weapons of mass destruction aren't found, your reputation, my reputation -- because I will have to apologize because I bought into it, I bought into it -- and out of a scale 1 to 10, 10 is the best, how certain are you that we're going to find these weapons of mass destruction?
MAGINNIS: There's a 10 there, Bill.
[A little later in the conversation]:
O'REILLY: Real fast, Colonel, any prediction of when something is going to happen on your part? Real fast.
MAGINNIS: In the next two weeks, we are going to have many hundreds of people in there. I would say within a month, we will have a lot of..
O'REILLY: All right, a month from today, we'll do this story again, and then we have it on tape. Gentlemen, thanks very much. Very interesting.
On the May 22nd show Bill did discuss the Central Intelligence Agency review to determine whether the American intelligence community erred in its prewar assessments of Saddam Hussein's government and Iraq's weapons programs. However, he did not make good on his promise to have his guest (Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis) return to review the hunt for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
NOTE From Stewert: Col. Maginnis has not returned to do that show, ever. He did not return in 2 weeks or a month or 6 months, he never returned. I predict you will never see Col. Maginnis on the factor again.
Hey Bill what happened to Col. Maginnis, he said on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 10 they would find WMD's in Iraq within 30 days. BTW, that was on may 22nd, it is now January 29th, 2004 and still no WMD's. You said he would be back in 30 days, where is he ?
To this day (1-29-04) Col Maginnis has not been back on the factor to report on anything, let alone WMD's in Iraq. Bill did not honor his 30 day promise. In fact, I predict Col Maginnis will never do the factor again. His reputation has been ruined, and his credibility is now zero. O'Reilly is a coward, and a liar and his credibility is also zero.
I am guessing O'Reilly will never apologize or say we can not trust the Bush administration. He will just continue to cover for Bush and make excuses for him. He is in full bore code red cover up mode for Bush.
If O'Reilly had any credibility at all he would have had Col. Maginnis back on in 30 days, and he would have already apologized to the nation and said we can not trust the Bush administration. He has not done any of them, none, zip, zilch, nada. His credibility is zero, he is nothing but a spinning lying right-wing fraud of a so-called journalist.
